Smaller Stocks Are Struggling, Too
Stocks big and small were getting crushed in Thursday’s selloff.
The S&P 100, which includes the largest S&P 500 firms, was down 1.7%, but Wall Street wasn’t turning to small-caps: The Russell 2000 also dropped 1.3%.
Smaller stocks rallied earlier this year as investors rotated away from larger software stocks and into smaller, more cyclical firms. That wasn’t happening on Thursday.
