7 Crime Shows That Have Aged Like Milk

Published

on

Jack Bauer pointing a gun in the Fox series '24'

We’ve all been in this situation before. You curl up on the coach, teeing up your favorite streaming service for a night of binging one of the classic crime shows from a bygone era. You settle in, popcorn and wine on deck, and press play, ready for a night of reliving nostalgia. Then, 30 minutes into the series, you begin to realize that the protagonist of your “classic” crime show is basically a walking HR nightmare, and you go searching for something that will be easier to watch.

This is the unfortunate fate of some of the shows that were once destined to become classics. Shows that once felt edgy and gritty now feel dated and problematic, according to today’s standards. Whether it’s the glorification of “cowboy” policing, or true-crime documentaries that feel more exploitative than groundbreaking, these crime shows didn’t age like a fine wine from Napa, but more like sour milk that sat on the porch for a week with the sun beaming down on it. So, let’s look at the shows that prove that “law and order” can sometimes become stale.

’24’ (2001–2014)

In the 2000s, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) was the man that protected America from the terrorists. Created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, 24 premiered two months after the terrorist attacks of September 11th, and the show ushered in a new age for crime shows as it moved away from the “crime-of-the-week” formula in exchange for high-concept television that was high-stakes, and provided high-drama. Each season of 24 focused on a single day in which Bauer and the FBI must investigate and stop a terrorist attack on the homeland. Back in the 2000s, this was an exciting and genre-bending premise; however, the veneer of 24 has dulled greatly in recent years.

For starters, while 24 focused on terrorism as its central plot, it was often accused of glorifying torture and illegal government surveillance, the latter of which became an issue in real life with the public as the War on Terror dragged on. 24 is also not fondly looked on for the way it portrayed Muslim characters, often stereotyping them as terrorists, along with the fact that the series ran too long. After the fifth season, the quality of the show dropped substantially as its terrorist-heavy, post-9/11 themes began to grow stale among an audience that was clamoring for something fresher. While older viewers may still look at 24 as a groundbreaking series, to those who grew up after its peak, and even those who were around during its original run, its themes and tropes have certainly aged like curdled milk.

‘Cops’ (1989–Present)

After the murder of George Floyd in the Summer of 2020, Americans began to re-think what they thought of law enforcement, both in how they interact with the public, and how they’re portrayed on television. This reckoning is what led to the cancellation of Cops, a longtime fixture of Saturday nights on Fox that was the vanguard of the reality TV genre. Born out of the writer’s strike of 1989, Cops became a hit among audiences with its portrayal of cops as they busted the bad guys and served their communities. The show blew open the notion that Saturday nights was a “death spot” in the TV lineup, and the action on the screen was often exciting.

But looking at the show from a modern lens, Cops was a very problematic show in which its high ratings help hide its poorly aged concepts. A large portion of the people profiled on the show were often people of color, who were highlighted as criminals who were the scourge of society. Cops also normalized police brutality, as the show framed violent arrests and the harsh treatment of suspects as justified, a thinking that changed dramatically after the death of numerous African American individuals at the hands of the police. While Cops was truly groundbreaking, kicking off the reality TV format that would only grow in subsequent years, Cops is nothing more than police propaganda in the face of other reality shows such as On Patrol Live, a similar show that shows police in real-time and gives a more honest look at policing.

‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ (1993–2001)

This one hurts, as this author is a huge fan of Walker, Texas Ranger, and remains so to this day. However, while I’m still a huge fan of this crime procedural, even I can’t help but notice how poorly the show has aged. Inspired by the 1983 film Lone Wolf McQuade, the crime drama stars Chuck Norris as Cordell Walker, a member of the Texas Ranger who, along with his partner, James “Jimmy” Trivette (Clarence Gilyard), help solve crimes and bring criminals to justice in the Rangers’ Dallas-Fort Worth division. Airing in syndication, Walker, Texas Ranger became a hit among viewers during its initial run, and has maintained its popularity in the years after it left first-run status in 2001.

Having said that, there are a number of issues that have made this show age poorly. For starters, Walker, Texas Ranger feels very predictable, thanks to its “attack first, ask questions later” format that it followed with religion, with Cordell being portrayed as a “Super Ranger” with near impossible immunity to physical harm, even though he inflicted a lot of harm on criminals. Then there’s the production quality, which looked a bit campy even during its original run, but it’s even more obvious today. In many of the action scenes, you can clearly see Norris’ stunt double, and the many mistakes that are made, such as clearly-damaged cars repairing themselves in between scenes. While many longtime viewers could possibly get past those examples, what modern viewers can’t get past is how the show clearly justifies excessive policing, to the point that some viewers now view Walker, Texas Ranger as a “conservative law enforcement fantasy” that has aged the show quite poorly according to today’s standards.

‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ (2000–2015)

Back at the turn of the millennium, TV viewers were becoming increasingly interested in forensic science, especially when it came to solving cases. This was thanks to CBS’ highly stylistic crime procedural CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, a show that would go on to launch an entire franchise that would become the bedrock of the network’s crime procedural programming. The original CSI premiered in 2000, and took a different take on the typical crime series, focusing on a team of crime scene investigators who use physical evidence and forensic science to solve murders in Las Vegas. The science the CSI team used was high-tech and looked cool to viewers, with the show having an outsized effect on the real world use of forensic evidence.

The downside, now, is that a lot of what was portrayed in the original CSI was very inaccurate. The show drastically exaggerated the capabilities of forensic technicians, making them look like detectives when, in reality, they’re not. As aforementioned, the “CSI Effect” wound up having a negative impact on the judicial system in real life, with juries often demanding excessive forensic evidence for convictions, which was impossible to do. This was corrected in later versions of the franchise, but they couldn’t fix the tone and style of the original CSI, with its highly stylized nature aging the show rapidly in subsequent years.

Your Assignment Has Been Made
You Belong In…

Your answers have pointed to one fictional hospital above all others. This is the ward your instincts, your temperament, and your particular brand of dysfunction were built for.

The Pitt

You are built for the most unsparing version of emergency medicine television has ever shown. The Pitt doesn’t romanticise the work — it puts you inside a single fifteen-hour shift and doesn’t let you look away. You are someone who needs their work to be real, who finds meaning not in the drama surrounding medicine but in medicine itself, and who has made peace with the fact that this job will take from you constantly and give back in ways that are harder to name. You don’t need the chaos to be aestheticised. You need it to be honest. Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center is exactly that — and you would not want to be anywhere else.

ER

You are the person who keeps the whole floor running — not the most brilliant in the room, but possibly the most essential. County General is built on the shoulders of people who show up, do the work, absorb the losses, and come back the next day without requiring the job to be anything other than what it is. You care deeply about patients as individual human beings, you believe in the system even when it fails you, and you understand that emergency medicine at its core is about holding the line between order and chaos for just long enough. ER is television about endurance, and you have it.

Grey’s Anatomy

You came to medicine with your whole self — your ambition, your emotions, your relationships, your history — and you have never quite managed to leave any of it at the door. Grey Sloan is a hospital where the personal and the professional are permanently, chaotically entangled, and where that entanglement produces both the greatest disasters and the most remarkable saves. You are someone who feels things fully, who forms deep attachments to the people you work with, and who understands that the most extraordinary medicine often happens at the intersection of clinical skill and profound human connection. It’s messy here. You would not have it any other way.

House

You are drawn to the problem above everything else. Not the patient as a person — though you are capable of caring, even if you’d deny it — but the case as a puzzle, the symptom that doesn’t fit, the diagnosis hiding underneath the obvious one. Princeton-Plainsboro is a hospital that exists to house one extraordinary, impossible mind, and everyone around that mind is there because they are smart enough and stubborn enough to keep up. You work best when the stakes are highest, when the standard answer is wrong, and when the only way forward is to think harder than everyone else in the room. That is exactly what you would do here.

Scrubs

You understand that medicine is tragic and absurd in almost equal measure, and that the only sane response is to hold both of those things at the same time. Sacred Heart is a hospital where the laughter and the grief are genuinely inseparable — where a terrible joke can get you through a terrible moment, and where the most ridiculous people are also, on their best days, remarkably good doctors. You are warm, self-aware, and funnier than most people in your field. You lean on the people around you and you let them lean back. Scrubs is a show about learning to become someone worthy of the job — and you are still very much in the middle of that process, which is exactly right.

‘Worst Roommate Ever’ (2022–Present)

For a show that premiered in 2022, Netflix’s true-crime documentary Worst Roommate Ever has surely aged poorly in its short stint on the streaming service. Directed by Domini Hofmann and Cynthia Childs, the series tells stories of roommates who turned the lives of their unsuspecting victims upside down. This is a show that would make one think twice about taking in a roommate, but it’s also garnered a lot of criticism for the way it tells its horror stories. While the show’s originally aim was to highlight how some people can hide their malevolent tendencies, Worst Roommate Ever feels less like a cautionary tale, and more like a show that uses the “bad roommate” dynamic for entertainment purposes.

When you watch an episode of Worst Roommate Ever, the first thing that stands out is how sensationalist the series feels, almost like the story an episode is telling is “hyped up” for shock and entertainment value. Using a sensational tone has rubbed some viewers the wrong way, with the tone being inappropriate given the nature of the crimes committed, which often ends in death and long-lasting trauma for the victims who endured it. Also, some feel as though the show’s title itself is misleading. While most people see a “bad roommate” as someone who doesn’t pay their fair share of bills on-time, or leaves their living space a mess, the people portrayed in Worst Roommate Ever are actual criminals that go beyond the “bad roommate” label. You don’t get a deeper understanding of how America’s legal system allows these situations to happen; instead, you get a crime documentary that’s focusing on “scaring” the viewer and nothing else, ensuring that Worst Roommate Ever will surely age like spoiled milk.

‘Hill Street Blues’ (1981–1987)

There is zero doubt that the NBC police drama Hill Street Blues is a groundbreaking show that changed how crime shows were made. Created by Steven Bocho and Michael Kozoll, the series created the template for the modern prestige drama, with serialized storylines and overlapping dialogue now becoming a staple of modern day crime shows. However, as revolutionary as the series is, it hasn’t escaped the ravages of times, and there are a combination of things that have made Hill Street Blues age poorly when looked at from today’s cultural lens.

While TV culture was different in the 1980s, the way Hill Street Blues portrayed race and gender is very outdated, as people of color were often seen as criminals or the poor underclass, and casual sexism was the norm. Hill Street Blues also falls under the “Seinfeld is unfunny” phenomenon, in which the techniques that the series popularized have been refined and made better by other shows. Because of this, the show feels chaotic, derivative, and more of a product of its time instead of being the genre-changing series that it is. While it’s OK to still look at Hill Street Blues as a trailblazing crime series, its flaws have certainly made the series age more poorly than most people realize.

‘Law & Order’ (1990–Present)

As mentioned earlier, the cultural perception of law enforcement has changed significantly since the death of George Floyd in 2020, which wasn’t regulated to real world policing, but also to how it was portrayed on television. Suddenly, shows like the iconic Law & Order, created by the legendary Dick Wolf, weren’t looked at as a trailblazing crime series, but one with problematic elements that modern viewers simply can’t dismiss. Just to be clear, Law & Order helped advance the modern prestige crime drama Hill Street Blues brought into vogue in 1981. It was a series that focused on the totality of the justice system, from the detectives who investigate and arrest criminals, to the prosecutors who bring cases to trial, and it helped make Law & Order a powerhouse franchise for NBC.

But with the shifting cultural landscape policing, the cases looked at in Law & Order, which were pulled from existing headlines, don’t feel quite as satisfying as it once did. This is also thanks to how the show portrays the police, as the series is staunchly “pro police,” and portrays the detectives within the series as heroes, making the show feel less like entertainment and more like propaganda. This is not to say that Law & Order is a bad show, far from it; but being a fan also means pointing out its flaws, and the fact of the matter is that this is a show that certainly had flaws that have made it age less like wine and more like milk.

Kylie Jenner Reportedly ‘Bragging About’ Timothée Chalamet To Her Friends

Published

on

Kylie Jenner is reportedly smitten with her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, and won’t stop bragging about him to her family and friends.

The reality TV star, who has been his plus-one for most of the award shows, is said to be in “awe” of the actor and loves “showing up” for him amid his Hollywood success.

Things may intensify soon as reports suggest Kylie Jenner is getting to know his family, including his mom, while her own family thinks he’s brought out her softer side.

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet continue to make headlines for their fairytale romance despite rumors suggesting otherwise.

The couple, who put up an affectionate display at the recently held Oscars, are standing on solid grounds in their relationship as a source revealed that the makeup mogul is in “awe” of the “Marty Supreme” actor and loves supporting him amid his massive success.

“Kylie is really proud of him and is always low-key bragging about him to her friends and family,” an insider told Us Weekly. “She is super supportive of his career and feels it’s very important. Even though it overlaps with her world a bit, going to premieres and awards shows still feels [like] new territory for her, and she can get a little shy in that setting.”

The source continued, “Kylie is really in awe of how respected he is by his peers and loves showing up for him. She’s always hyping him up and had the best time being by his side at the Oscars. He says she calms his nerves, and he equally loves having her with him.”

Jenner and Chalamet have been at it for about three years now, and usually appear at award shows side-by-side.

Earlier this year, when he won the Critics’ Choice award, Jenner was in the audience and named her in his acceptance speech.

“Thank you to my partner of three years,” he said. “Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

More recently, she was by his side for the Oscars even though he lost out on the Best Actor Award for his work on “Marty Supreme.”

The Oscars were not a great night for Chalamet, as not only did he go home empty-handed, but he was ridiculed by host Conan O’Brien for his controversial comment on ballet and opera.

Body language reader James weighed in on the dynamics between the actor and Jenner at the event, explaining that the reality TV star became protective of him.

James told the Daily Mail that Chalamet appeared “quite submissive” with his gesture, as Jenner “leaned over him protectively, flashing a maternal-looking warning expression from her eyes as well as a tolerant and calm-looking mouth smile.”

The expert added that while Chalamet “opened his mouth wider in an expression of embarrassment and nodded slowly in a gesture of recognition and acceptance” as O’Brien continued with his monologue, Jenner appeared “less comfortable, clenching and unclenching her hands before performing one very odd, loud clap, suggesting a desire to get the joke over and move on.”

Meanwhile, things between them are now understood to be involving families, as reports suggest Jenner has been getting to know his folks, particularly his mom.

“Kylie loves Timothée’s mom,” the source who spoke to Us Weekly shared. “Kylie isn’t as close with the other family members, but they have all been warm and welcoming whenever she sees them.”

It appears her own family has also returned the gesture, as sources previously told the news outlet that her famous sisters and her mom have really “embraced” him, adding that they “really like” Chalamet and believe he has “brought out a softer side to Kylie.”

“The kids love him, and Timothée has been integrated seamlessly into their lives,” the insider added. “It took a while for Kylie to introduce them, but now things are very normal, and he spends a lot of time with them.”

Rumors Of Tension Between The Couple Surfaced In Recent Times

However, the road hasn’t really been a smooth ride for the pair as there have been rumors of tension between them, especially after Chalamet lost the Best Actor Award at the Oscars.

Reports claim the 30-year-old actor “took the loss very personally,” and blamed it on his relationship with Jenner and the Kardashian connection.

“Timothée thinks the Kylie relationship hurt his image with older voters,” an insider told Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop. “He believes the Kardashian circus cost him the Oscar.”

However, sources close to Jenner have refuted the claims, saying that the “KUWTK” alum has been voicing her frustration over his loss.

“Kylie is furious,” a source said. “She’s telling friends the loss had nothing to do with her.”

President Donald Trump Celebrates Robert Mueller’s Death

Published

on

President Donald Trump is proudly celebrating former FBI Director Robert Mueller’s death at 81.

“Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead,” the commander-in-chief, 79, wrote via his social media platform Truth Social on Saturday, March 21. “He can no longer hurt innocent people!”

Trump then signed the post, “President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

Mueller, a former federal prosecutor who led the probe into the 2016 Trump campaign’s alleged ties to Russia, died on Friday, March 20, according to a statement released by his family on Saturday.

“With deep sadness, we are sharing the news that Bog passed away,” the family said in a statement to the Associated Press. “His family asks that their privacy be respected.”

UPDATE — 12/15/25, 4:52 p.m. ET: President Donald Trump is doubling down on his previous critical comments about Rob Reiner after the director was murdered in his home on Sunday, December 14. While addressing the media on Monday, December 15, a reporter asked Trump, 79, if he stood by his remarks about Reiner after several […]

Former President George W. Bush selected Mueller as FBI director before he was unanimously confirmed just days before the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. He was later asked to remain in his position by President Barack Obama, despite serving as the FBI director for 10 years. He ultimately served in the role for 12 years, becoming the longest-serving FBI director since J. Edgar Hoover.

In August 2025, Mueller’s family announced he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2021.

Mueller became the focus of the current president’s ire when he was tasked with leading the investigation into Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign’s alleged collusion with the Russian government.

While Mueller ultimately decided Trump’s campaign did not conspire with Russia — despite uncovering “dozens of secret and often high-level contacts between the Trump campaign and the Russian government,” according to CNN, and proof Russia interfered with the 2016 election — and ultimately decided not to charge Trump with obstruction of justice — despite having the necessary evidence — the former reality TV star consistently attacked Mueller online.

“Russia Russia Russia! That’s all you heard at the beginning of this Witch Hunt Hoax…” Trump tweeted in May 2019. “And now Russia has disappeared because I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected. It was a crime that didn’t exist.”

Trump later called Mueller a “true never-Trumper,” and in 2025 signed an executive order severing ties with WilmerHale, the law firm where Mueller worked, claiming the firm “awarded” Mueller for using his “prosecutorial power to upend the democratic process and distort justice.”

Florida’s Olivier Rioux Becomes Tallest March Madness Athlete

Published

on

University of Florida basketball player Olivier Rioux is quite literally reaching new heights in the 2026 NCAA March Madness tournament.

Rioux, 20, stands tall at 7-foot-9, making him the tallest athlete to ever compete in the tournament, according to The Athletic. Rioux helped the Florida Gators beat the Prairie View A&M Panthers 114-55 during the Friday, March 20, match-up of the competition.

Rioux, who plays center for the Gators, is in his second year at the University of Florida and entered Friday’s game in the final minutes of competition, adding an exclamation mark to the team’s blowout win by scoring a put-back dunk before the final buzzer.

“It’s pretty unbelievable,” Gators forward Alex Condon told reporters after the game. “He’s a very tall bloke. He comes out there, and everyone’s chanting to get him the ball. He does a great job managing that pressure and taking the right shots.”

Rioux, a member of the Gators’ 2025 national championship team, previously set the Guinness World Record for the tallest male teenager when he was 16.

“We’re still not 100 percent sure why I’m so tall. So. we’re a pretty tall family! It feels great being the height I am. I love it.”

He continued, “I was always taller than the rest of my friends at school or teammates. This is what nature planned for me. I learned to be peaceful and happy about it.”

“I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old. The opposing team would often question my age, because even as a 5-year-old I was much taller than the other kids,” he recalled at the time. “Although no one questions my age anymore, sometimes before the game the opponents are looking in my direction with question-mark eyes. Often they just ask a question at the free throw line like, ‘How tall are you?’”

The athlete added of his competitors, “They are impressed to begin with but that does not make them less physical in the game. They even challenge me more because of my size.”

Rioux and the Gators will next play the Iowa Hawkeyes Sunday, March 22, in the next round of the NCAA tournament.

Soccer Star Says Chappell Roan Accused Child of Harassment

Soccer Star Jorginho Says Chappell Roan Accused His 11-Year-Old Daughter of Harassment

Soccer star Jorginho has publicly called out Chappell Roan for allegedly accusing his 11-year-old stepdaughter of harassment.

“I went through a very upsetting situation with my family earlier today. My wife [Cat Cavelli] is in São Paulo for Lollapalooza Brasil,” Jorginho, 34, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, March 21. “This morning, my daughter woke up incredibly excited. She even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires, or used to admire.”

Jorginho (real name Jorge Luiz Frello Filho) did not directly name the child but seemingly was referring to Ada Law, Cavelli’s daughter from a previous relationship with Jude Law. Jorginho and Cavelli have been in a relationship since 2019.

The athlete claimed that Cavelli and Ada had an unexpected run-in with one of Roan’s security guards in São Paulo when they were dining at the same hotel. (Roan, 28, is currently in Brazil to headline Saturday night’s Lollapalooza Brasil.)

“By coincidence, they’re staying at the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognized her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her,” Jorginho wrote. “And the worst part is she didn’t even approach her. She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.”

According to Jorginho, a “large security guard” then allegedly approached Cavelli and Ada’s table and “began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn’t allow my daughter to ‘disrespect’ or ‘harass’ other people.”

“Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment,” he added.

The security guard allegedly threatened to “file a complaint against them with the hotel” while the young girl “was sitting there in tears.”

“My daughter was extremely shaken and cried a lot,” Jorginho alleged.

Jorginho mentioned his own history of fan interactions while suggesting that the 11-year-old did not breach any “boundaries.”

“I’ve lived with football, public exposure, and well-known people for many years, and I understand very well what respect and boundaries are. What happened there was not that. It was just a child admiring someone,” he claimed. “It’s sad to see this kind of treatment coming from those who should understand the importance of fans. At the end of the day, they are the ones who build all of this. I sincerely hope this serves as a moment of reflection. No one should have to go through this, especially not a child.”

Jorginho tagged the Instagram Story with a message to Roan’s fans, writing. “WITHOUT YOUR FANS, YOU WOULD BE NOTHING. AND TO THE FANS, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR AFFECTION.”

Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for Roan for comment.

Chappell Roan finally delivered a new song to fans with the release of “The Subway” — but they shouldn’t get their hopes up for her second album just yet. “The second project doesn’t exist yet,” Roan, 27, told Vogue in an interview published Monday, August 4. “There is no album. There is no collection of […]

The “Pink Pony Club” singer has been vocal about valuing her privacy in public spaces. In March, she clashed with photographers and autograph seekers in Paris when they allegedly blocked her path as she was going to dinner.

“To be disregarded as a human, this is what it’s like,” she could be heard saying. “I’m just trying to go to dinner and I’ve asked these people several times to get away from me … They’re hiding their faces because they’re ashamed. These are all the people that are disregarding all of my boundaries.”

Roan also argued with the paparazzi on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2024, telling one photographer to “shut the f*** up” when he complained about her posing.

Barry Keoghan is getting real about the darker side of fame, and how online hate has started to take a serious toll. The “Saltburn” star opened up in a candid interview about stepping back from public life, revealing how harsh comments about his appearance and personal life have impacted not only him, but his work and his role as a father.

During an appearance on SiriusXM’s “The Morning Mash Up,” Keoghan didn’t shy away from addressing the reality of navigating social media as a public figure.

“I think I removed myself from online, but I’m still a curious human being that wants to go on and, if I attend an event or if I go somewhere, you want to see how it was received. And it’s not nice,” he explained in an audio clip.

He went on to describe the environment online as overwhelmingly negative. “There’s a lot of hate online. It’s a lot of abuse of how I look,” Keoghan added.

The Irish actor admitted the constant criticism has begun to affect how he moves through his career and personal life.

“I say this being absolute pure and honest to you: It’s becoming a problem,” he went on. “So yeah, I don’t have to hide away because I am hiding away. I don’t have to go to places because I actually don’t go to places because of these things. But when that starts leaking into your art, it becomes a problem because then you don’t even want to be on screen anymore.”

Beyond his own experience, Keoghan shared that his biggest concern is how the negativity could affect his young son down the line. “It is disappointing for the fans, but it’s also disappointing that my little boy has to read all of this stuff when he gets older,” Keoghan stated, making it clear that protecting his child remains a top priority.

Keoghan’s recent comments come after he stepped away from Instagram in 2024 following intense speculation about his split from Sabrina Carpenter. At the time, he addressed the situation in a lengthy message, explaining why he felt the need to remove himself from the platform.

“I can only sit and take so much. My name has been dragged across the internet in ways I usually don’t respond to,” he wrote. “I have to respond now because it’s getting to a place where there are too many lines being crossed.”

The actor added, “I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work. The messages I have received, no person should ever have to read them. Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine.”

In that same statement, Keoghan revealed just how far some of the harassment had gone, including attacks on his background and loved ones. The “Peaky Blinders” actor said people online had been “dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for.”

He continued, “Talking about how I was a heroine baby and how I grew up and dragging my dear mother into it also. Knocking on my granny’s door.”

The situation became even more alarming when it began impacting his family directly.

“Sitting outside my baby boy’s house intimidating them. That’s crossing a line. Each and every day I work harder to push myself on every level to be the healthiest and strongest person for that boy,” he declared. “I want to provide opportunities for him to learn, fail and grow. I want him to be able to look up to his daddy, to have full trust in me and know I will have his back no matter what,” he said.

He wrote in conclusion, “I need you to remember he has to read ALL of this about his father when he is older. Please be respectful to all. Thank u x.”

At the end of the day, Keoghan’s focus remains on protecting his son and setting an example.

Rihanna Seemingly Addresses Baby Rumors, Talks "Little Pouch"

Nathan Potier and Erica Palmer were arrested this week in Nevada after authorities say they allegedly forced a 14-year-old girl to become pregnant with Potier’s twins because Palmer could not conceive. The shocking case has raised serious questions about abuse, exploitation, and how far some will go in pursuit of their own desires.

Oklahoma Couple Arrested In Nevada Child Abuse Case

According to officials, the pair was located in the Reno-Sparks area by the United States Marshals Nevada Violent Offender Task Force after being fugitives. Potier faces one count of sexual assault of a child, while Palmer faces one count of enabling sexual abuse of a child. The arrests followed an investigation by the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit, a multi-jurisdictional partnership that tracks and prosecutes offenders, highlighting the collaborative effort that led to bringing the couple into custody.

Oklahoma Couple Targeted Teen, Fled During Investigation

Investigators say the case first came to light in December 2025 when a caseworker with Oklahoma Child Protective Services flagged that a 14-year-old girl was pregnant with twins. Authorities allege the couple targeted the teen, with Nathan Potier fathering the children. Reportedly, Erica Palmer told police she wanted children with Potier but could not conceive due to a prior tubal ligation, and court documents suggest they fled Oklahoma to avoid authorities while investigators were gathering evidence, including DNA tests.

Teen Victim In Foster Care, Couple Faces Charges

Court filings also indicate a troubling history: earlier reports from California alleged Potier abused the same teen, and Palmer was allegedly aware of those incidents. The teenage victim is now in foster care, while Potier and Palmer remain in the Washoe County Detention Facility on bonds of $300,000 and $200,000, respectively, awaiting extradition back to Oklahoma to face charges.

Trans Woman Sues LPGA, USGA After She Was Denied Entry

trans golfer sues lpga usga for ban

Transgender athlete Hailey Davidson is suing the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and the United States Golf Association (USGA) after she says she was unlawfully banned from competition.

The golfer, 33, filed the lawsuit against the two organizations on Thursday, March 19, alleging that a policy change kept her from competing in a 2025 U.S. Women’s Open qualifier at the Hackensack Gold Club in New Jersey, according to ESPN and Fox Sports.

In the suit, Davidson claims that the new policy is essentially a total competition ban for all trans women, citing the fact that at least 30 states have passed laws that prohibit trans children from accessing gender-affirming care, like hormones or puberty blocking medication — essentially making it impossible for any trans athlete to meet the new qualifications for competition.

Davidson also names the Hackensack Golf Club in the lawsuit, arguing that the Club violated the law when it claimed that the USGA was the sole decision maker regarding player eligibility.

The athlete is seeking “unspecified damages,” according to ESPN.

“The LPGA’s gender policy was developed through a thoughtful, expert-informed process and is grounded in protecting the competitive integrity of elite women’s golf,” an LPGA spokesperson said in a statement, acknowledging that the organization is aware of the lawsuit and would “let that process play out on the proper forum.”

In 2024, the USGA and LPGA established new gender policies, requiring all players to be assigned female at birth to have transitioned from male to female before going through puberty in order to compete in LPGA tournaments or all eight of the USGA championships for women.

The policies were first enacted in 2025 and are, at the time of publication, indefinite.

The new rules also automatically ruled Davidson ineligible for competition — the athlete began hormone treatments when she was in her early 20s in 2015, long after she first started puberty. She underwent gender-affirming surgery in 2021.

“Can’t say I didn’t see this coming,” Davidson wrote in a 2024 Instagram Story, per the Associated Press. “Banned from the Epson and the LPGA. All the silence and people wanting to stay ‘neutral’ thanks for absolutely nothing. This happened because of all your silence.”

The Couple Addressed Trust Issues In Viral Interview

Roommates, here’s why folks believed Coi Leray and Justin Laboy split—sort of. Last month, Justin dropped an hour-and-twenty-minute interview on his YouTube channel featuring Coi herself, promising a “raw and unfiltered” sit-down that touched everything from her music to “high-profile relationships” and dating in the industry.

About five minutes in, Coi put Justin on blast, saying she’s “starting” to trust him more because he tends to keep his phone from her. “You know how you are — you be a little, oh! …And I don’t want to be in your business, but you know, be gentle with that phone. Don’t be – when I come around — hiding s**t, swiping…” she said. Justin even suggested they swap phones for a day, and later in the convo, they debated their “strict program,” including what’s okay to post, risqué photos, and whether liking other people’s pics counts as cheating. Fans are now piecing this all together, realizing the drama might have just been about trust and boundaries rather than a breakup.
