Amanda Seales Clears The Air About Her Absence From The ‘Insecure’ Anniversary Tour

Recently, Amanda Seales hopped on Instagram to address fans’ questions about why she wasn’t included in the ‘Insecure’ anniversary tour. ICYMI, Issa Rae announced that the cast will reunite in September to celebrate 10 years of the series. The tour lineup includes Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis, Natasha Rothwell, and series producer Prentice Penny.

After fans noticed that Amanda wasn’t on the flyer or in the reunion video, she decided to clear the air on Instagram.  Amanda admitted she first felt like fans were taking the conversation too far, but after reflecting, she said she understood. She explained that “characters are meant as proof of life” and said fans naturally want to see characters they connected with. Amanda added that while some viewers didn’t connect with her character Tiffany Dubois, other women and mothers have thanked for portraying the reality of postpartum depression.

Fans Share Their Disappointment Over Amanda Missing The Tour

Once Amanda shared her thoughts on not joining the ‘Insecure’ tour, fans flooded her comment section with reactions. Plenty of folks sided with her and said they would’ve loved to see her reunite with the cast.

Instagram user @stallionkinkyrios wrote, “Idc what nobody says .. you deserved to be there period. And you also deserve the apology. Y’all made history , the end!”

Instagram user @4_everdani wrote, You should have been included. It’s a reunion tour that is about connecting with the fans. It comes off as mean girl energy which is unfortunate.”

While Instagram user @mrsladyvbustos wrote, I just want to know if you were invited would you have really gone?”

Then Instagram user @nishathedork wrote, I loved all the characters and would love to see you on the tour.”

Then another Instagram user @aeshaegbuna wrote,

Finally, Instagram user @iamzoniapatreece wrote, You know that not inviting you shows their insecurities. How ironic.”

Where Does Amanda Seales & Issa Raae Stand Now?

Although fans were surprised by Amanda Seales’ absence from the anniversary tour, she previously opened up about where she and Issae Rae stand. During a 2024 interview with Shannon Sharpe, Amanda said she never publicly addressed her relationship with Issa or the narratives surrounding their status because she wanted to protect her. However, she explained that she eventually realized there were moments when she needed Issa to protect her, but never felt she received that.

“I think people are going to show up for me the way I show up for them. And now it’s a point where my protecting of Issa has become turned onto me and something people are using against me. There’s a whole narrative that is completely false,” Amanda explained.

Issa Rae later appeared to respond to Amanda’s comment during a Viaraae event for her sparkling wine brand. When asked who she would never work with again, Issa said, “I mean anyone who goes on a podcast and talks s**t about me!”

Elon Musk Plans To Make ‘The Odyssey’ Movie With AI

Published

on

Trump and Musk Joint Press Conference in the Oval Office

The Odyssey” has generated a lot of buzz even before its release, but not everyone is impressed with Christopher Nolan’s approach to the epic poem. Elon Musk has been critical of the adaptation, voicing his opinion on casting choices, among other things. The trillionaire recently shared his plan to create his own AI-powered version of the tale, one he claims would be more “historically accurate” than Nolan’s take on Homer’s work.

Elon Musk has been vocal about his thoughts on Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” long before the film’s release on July 17. In February, there were rumors that Lupita Nyong’o would be portraying Helen of Troy, and Musk commented on X that the director “has lost his integrity.”

On July 22, Musk announced that before 2026 is over, he will have a feature-length version of “The Odyssey” created with AI image and video generator Grok Imagine “that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer.” The post was accompanied by a three-minute clip of what the movie could look like, which was shared by Heavy Pulp.

Reactions to Musk’s statement varied, but many pointed out that he couldn’t create something “historically accurate” when his source material is rooted in Greek mythology. “It’s an imagined story that feature cyclops and mermaids my dude… There is nothing historical about it,” one user commented.

One Filmmaker Said The Businessman’s Opinions Are ‘Worthless’

Following Musk’s post, filmmaker Scott Derrickson, who directed films such as “Sinister,” “The Exorcism of Emily Rose,” and “Doctor Strange,” shared his reaction on social media.

“Clearly @elonmusk doesn’t know sh-t about cinema & he stopped reading in his 20s. His opinions on art are worthless,” Derrickson wrote. Entertainment critics and British historian Tom Holland (not to be confused with the “Spider-Man” actor) have also pushed back against Musk’s criticisms of the film.

Some also pointed out inaccuracies in the AI-generated video Musk posted, with many noticing that Odysseus had a yellow earplug. Another commented, “Not to nitpick but nobody here looks Greek… It looks cool but it exposes the fact that accuracy is not the goal. It’s just making everyone white.”

Elon Musk Heavily Criticized And Mocked ‘The Odyssey’

Musk’s statements about “The Odyssey” stemmed from rumors about casting, specifically over Lupita Nyong’o, who portrayed twin sisters Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra, and Elliot Page as Greek warrior Sinon. He wrote, in part, that the casting was one of “the dumbest and most twisted things I’ve heard.”

When the cast was confirmed, Musk doubled down on his stance. In May, conservative political commentator Matt Walsh posted about the movie, describing it as “woke” and calling Nolan a “coward.”

“We’re told that we shouldn’t object to Helen of Troy being portrayed as a black woman. And yet if a major Hollywood studio made a film set in Africa and cast a white woman as ‘the most beautiful woman in Africa,’ those same people would literally riot in the street,” Walsh wrote. Musk agreed, replying, “Absolutely true. Such hypocrisy in Hollywood.”

Later, the business mogul called Nolan an “anti-White racist.”

The SpaceX CEO Accused Christopher Nolan Of Pandering To The Oscars

In yet another post, Musk accused Nolan of making the casting choices he did to pander to the Oscars. “Who specifically is the a-shole who added DEI lies to Academy Awards eligibility instead of it just being about making the best movie?” he asked.

Musk was referring to the Oscars’ diversity and inclusion rules, which went into effect in 2024. As many pointed out, however, the businessman’s assumption was inaccurate. According to the Academy’s guidelines for a film to be eligible for Best Picture, only two of the four standards must be satisfied when it comes to diversity.

The inclusion standards do not only cover on-screen casting, but also behind-the-camera opportunities, marketing and distribution teams, and creative leadership and crew.

Elon Musk Said He’s Up For Funding An Adaptation Directed By Mel Gibson

X user John Carter posted an idea on the social media platform, saying that he wants the trillionaire to give Mel Gibson $100 million to create a “painstakingly historically accurate” adaptation of “The Odyssey.” Carter also noted that he wants all dialogue to be taken from Homer’s poem and delivered in Homeric Greek dialect.

Musk responded with two words: “I’m down.” Others mentioned, however, that Gibson’s movies, including “Braveheart,” “The Passion of the Christ,” and “Apocalypto,” were filled with inaccuracies.

Nolan has not directly responded to Musk’s criticisms, only offering a blanket statement about critics. During a press tour, the director said the comments are “irrelevant,” especially before watching a film, and the backlash “comes with the territory” of creating a big movie.

Javier Bardem Shares Upsides Of Working With His Wife

Published

on

'Everybody Knows (Todos Lo Saben)' Photocall - Cannes

Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz have shared the screen in several films over the years, building a long-running creative partnership alongside their marriage. Looking back on those collaborations, Bardem recently explained what makes working with his wife different, revealing how their years together give them a unique advantage whenever they step onto a film set.

Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz have been married for 16 years and have shared the screen multiple times. The couple will be gracing the screen together once more in an upcoming movie, and the actor spoke about the advantages of working on a film set with his wife.

Bardem said that he and Cruz have a special connection that makes things easier in a professional setting. “There’s a level of trust, of knowing how we work, that doesn’t need to be rehearsed,” the actor said, adding that it “saves a lot of time.”

The couple will portray husband and wife in the psychological thriller “Bunker,” written and directed by Florian Zeller. In it, Bardem plays an architect hired to build a bunker for a tech billionaire while his wife questions their marriage. Zeller said that he wrote the screenplay specifically with Bardem and Cruz in mind.

“The quality of the dialogues, the quality of what he is bringing into the story for us to reflect on, is really powerful, so I hope you watch it and enjoy it,” Bardem told Us Weekly.

The Couple Had Chemistry When They First Met

Bardem and Cruz first crossed paths in the early ’90s while filming the Spanish movie, “Jamón, Jamón.” Both were relatively unknown young actors at the time, and while Bardem said he felt a connection with the actress, nothing romantic came out of the collaboration.

The Oscar-winning actor recalled the moment in an interview with GQ, admitting that there was mutual attraction. “Nothing happened. There was obvious chemistry between us. I mean, it’s all there on film; it’s like a document of our passion,” Bardem said, but Cruz was underage. She was 17 years old, five years Bardem’s junior.

The two went their separate ways and built successful careers, and it wasn’t until 15 years later that they started dating.

In 2008, Bardem and Cruz shared the screen for a second time in the Woody Allen-directed flick, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” However, they waited for the movie to wrap filming before pursuing a relationship.

Bardem said that throughout the project, neither of them wanted to make the first move. “I don’t know if we were shy or trying to be too professional,” he said. On the final day of filming, they finally gave in to their attraction at the wrap party. The actor didn’t reveal who took the first step, but that evening laid the foundation of their relationship.

The actor gushed about his wife, saying, “She has what I call the loving blood. Passion for everything. That’s what I find attractive. There is beauty and there is being sexy. Penélope has both.”

The Couple Shares Two Children

Bardem said he and Cruz share many similarities, but the basis of their relationship stems from a genuine connection before all the glitz and glamor that came with their careers.

“We met each other and knew each other before all of the noise, before success and before anybody saw us with different eyes because of who we now were, what he had become,” the actor noted, adding that it’s integral to rely on someone who knows the real you. “You see me, I see you. That’s important,” he said in an interview with The Gentleman’s Journal.

The couple tied the knot at a private ceremony in the Bahamas in 2010. Cruz gave birth to their first child, a son named Leo, in 2011, and welcomed their daughter, Luna, in 2013.

The husband and wife co-starred in other films, including “The Counselor,” “Loving Pablo,” and “Everybody Knows.” While they have known each other for more than three decades and have been married for 16 years, the actress said she’s still learning more things about her husband.

“I feel like I’m still learning, you know? And I am with somebody that I’ve known for 33 years. I really know that person, but it’s like, is there a day where you really get to know yourself? No. So the same with your partner,” she told PEOPLE.

“Bunker” will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and is expected to be released in theaters in late 2026 to early 2027.

HBO’s 8-Part Masterpiece Perfected the Slow-Burn Crime Thriller Better Than ‘True Detective’

Published

on

Riz Ahmed in a tank top and grey sweatpants, sitting in Rikers, in The Night Of

HBO has been light-years ahead of its competitors in the prestige television landscape. Acclaimed HBO limited series like Band of Brothers and The Pacific proved the network could bring cinematic scope to television. The 2016 legal series The Night Of fulfills these requirements, creating an eight-episode master class in tension. With its thorough examination of the legal process, The Night Of also proved to be a groundbreaking deconstruction of the systematic racial and ethical biases within the American justice system.

‘The Night Of’ Is a Whodunit That Empathizes With the Suspect

The Night Of follows Pakistani-American college student Naz Khan (Riz Ahmed) during a romantic evening he shares with a woman named Andrea Cornish (Sofia Black-D’Elia) after they meet at a party. Naz’s night is filled with bad decisions; he steals his father’s (Payman Maadi) taxi cab in order to attend the party, abuses drugs that cloud his memories, and gets arrested shortly thereafter after failing to comply with traffic laws. Although none of Naz’s activities are depicted as being malicious, the series shows how easily actions can be misinterpreted. Naz wakes up to find that Andrea has been stabbed to death. In retrospect, he realizes that all of his actions on the night that she was killed make him look overly suspicious. It’s the rare murder mystery story that is told exclusively through the perspective of the major suspect.

Your Universe Has Been Chosen
You Belong In…

Your answers point to the iconic universe your values, your instincts, and your particular way of seeing the world were built for. This is where you would find your people — and your purpose.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

You believe in the cause — in the idea that freedom is worth fighting for even when the odds are impossible and the empire is vast.

  • You are drawn to the moral clarity of a universe where hope itself is a form of resistance.
  • You’d find your people in the Rebellion — a ragtag coalition of true believers held together by conviction more than resources.
  • Star Wars is fundamentally a story about ordinary people choosing to matter in an extraordinary conflict — and that is exactly your kind of story.
  • The Force may or may not be with you. But the will to use it for something larger than yourself certainly is.

Middle-earth

Lord of the Rings

You understand, in the deepest part of yourself, that the journey matters as much as the destination — and that the world’s beauty is worth protecting even at great cost.

  • Middle-earth is a world of ancient wonder, deep friendship, and a darkness that only retreats when enough small acts of courage accumulate.
  • You would thrive here because you value the fellowship more than the glory — the road more than the arrival.
  • Tolkien’s universe rewards patience, loyalty, and the willingness to carry something heavy across a very long distance.
  • Those are not burdens to you. They are simply how you move through the world.

The Wizarding World

Harry Potter

You believe that love, loyalty, and doing what’s right are not naive sentiments — they are the most powerful forces in any world, magical or otherwise.

  • The Wizarding World is a place of wonder hidden in plain sight, where learning is transformative and the bonds you form at school follow you into every battle.
  • You would flourish here because you take both the magic and the friendships seriously — and you understand that one without the other is incomplete.
  • Harry Potter’s universe ultimately rewards those who choose to stand for something even when standing is terrifying.
  • That choice — made quietly, without guarantee — is something you understand completely.

Westeros · The Known World

Game of Thrones

You see the world clearly — its power structures, its hypocrisies, its brutal arithmetic — and you are not paralysed by that clarity. You use it.

  • Westeros is a world that rewards intelligence, adaptability, and the willingness to understand that every alliance is also a negotiation.
  • You would survive here — possibly thrive here — because you don’t confuse the world as it is with the world as you’d like it to be.
  • Game of Thrones is a story about what happens when the idealists and the realists collide. You are sharp enough to know which one lasts longer.
  • Winter always comes. You are already prepared.

The United Federation of Planets

Star Trek

You believe the future is worth building — that curiosity, cooperation, and the expansion of understanding are not just ideals but the most practical path forward for any civilisation.

  • Star Trek is a universe where the questions matter as much as the answers, and where encountering something utterly alien is cause for wonder rather than fear.
  • You would belong here because you are fundamentally optimistic about what intelligence and decency can achieve — while being honest about how hard that achievement is.
  • The Federation is the universe’s most ambitious thought experiment: what if we actually got better?
  • You don’t just hope that’s possible. You think it’s the only thing worth working toward.

The brilliance of the inciting incident in The Night Of is that showrunner Steven Zaillian doesn’t treat anything within Naz’s routine as abnormal. This creates more suspense, as the consequences of Naz’s irresponsible behavior are only evident to the audience. The intensity continues to escalate because Naz realizes too late that he has cast doubt upon his own innocence. This gives him a burden of guilt that he carries with him for the rest of the series, as Naz is forced to reflect upon how different things could have been if he had never met Andrea in the first place. As Naz, Ahmed balances these feelings of guilt and regret in one of his greatest performances.

Although there are hints of romance within their brief interactions, Naz knows very little about Andrea before she is killed. This was an important decision, as the impersonal nature of the crime makes it more shocking. Naz doesn’t have the capacity to mourn Andrea’s death because he barely knows her, and does not have any hints as to why she was killed. While Andrea’s shocking death is unquestionably a tragic one, it’s really just an inciting incident that sparks the show’s deconstruction of the legal process. The specificity with which Zallian examines the legal procedures that Naz experiences evokes comparisons to the great courtroom drama films of the 1990s.

‘The Night Of’ Features a Stellar Supporting Cast

While it’s Naz’s perspective that the series focuses on, The Night Of explores all aspects of the legal process through its supporting cast. Naz’s lawyer, John Stone (John Turturro), makes for a fascinating co-lead in the series because of his conflicted feelings about the justice system. While Stone has reason to believe in Naz’s innocence, he continuously reminds him to stop telling “the truth” in order to make their case as convincing as possible. Stone recognizes that Naz’s honesty could lead the jury to make assumptions that would color their opinion of him. Turturro’s magnetic performance captures the world-weary nature of a grizzled, experienced attorney who recognizes that justice and honesty aren’t always the same thing.

Bill Camp is also terrific in a supporting role as Detective Sergeant Dennis Box, the investigator in charge of investigating Andrea’s death. In this role, Camp proves that he’s the type of actor who can give a memorable performance with only a brief amount of screen time. While it would have been easy for the series to depict Box as a remorseless villain with no compassion, his motivations for pursuing Naz never feel personal. Box’s pursuit of Naz is merely a byproduct of a larger infrastructural issue, as the legal system does not allow for a conclusive truth to be drawn. Camp depicts Box as someone who genuinely wants to see justice served. This depiction of law enforcement strengthens the series’ sense of realism. It also serves as an interesting point of comparison with Stone, as the series explores the different practices taken by lawyers and cops.

‘The Night Of’ Exposes Flaws In the Prison System

The Night Of examines the flaws within the prison system by showing how Naz’s personality is changed by his experience. The series brilliantly intertwines scenes of Stone interviewing people related to the case with Naz’s experiences in prison. As Naz attempts to survive abuse at the hands of both his fellow prisoners and the guards, he is forced to become a more violent person. After being treated like a criminal, Naz begins to act like one to survive. At a certain point, he realizes that his innocence will not protect him. It’s a disturbing concept, and the eight-episode run allows The Night Of to show more detail than most prison films would be capable of.

Although The Night Of tackles serious issues like over-policing and racial discrimination, it never loses sight of Naz’s perspective. While the story itself is fictional, Naz’s experiences are representative of larger systemic issues; the story becomes more powerful because the viewer is able to see how these issues affect an empathetic character. While by no means an easy watch, The Night Of is a master class in storytelling that refuses to abide by clichés commonly found in crime dramas. While its dour tone makes it difficult to cite as traditionally entertaining, The Night Of is a worthwhile examination of topics that couldn’t be more relevant.

‘House of the Dragon’ Just Exposed the Darkest Storyline in ‘Game of Thrones’ History

Published

on

James Norton in House of the Dragon Season 3

Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers for House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 5.The Game of Thrones franchise has never shied away from dark stories, and the spinoffs have followed that lead. After all, Westeros has plenty of different horrors to choose from. However, House of the Dragon doubles down on this reputation for highlighting the most twisted parts of Westeros by finally detailing Harrenhal’s history. Of all of the castles in Westeros, Harrenhal has the most troubled past from its origins to its multiple inhabitants. The many tragedies that occur throughout its history make Harrenhal infamous and begin rumors of a curse. Yet House of the Dragon shows that this is more than superstition.

Harrenhal has played a large role in House of the Dragon, and it continues to be prominent in the latest season. In fact, Season 3 Episode 5, “Unbowed and Unbent,” hints at Harrenhal’s origins, which is where the horrors began. This moment shows that the franchise always has a chance to get darker and perhaps finally explains why Harrenhal is so unique.

‘House of the Dragon’ Reveals Harrenhal’s Dark Origins

Harrenhal may not be the gathering sight for an army anymore, but in Season 3, it is still an important place. Now Aemond’s (Ewan Mitchell) hiding spot, the castle receives unwanted guests trying to kill him thanks to the orders of Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), but Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin) and Harrenhal’s eerie history protect him. Early in the episode, Alys scares away armed men by leaning into the castle’s reputation, specifically citing its bloody origins. This may seem like an intimidation tactic, but it is a major part of the castle’s legend.

Built by Harren the Black as a vanity project, Harrenhal was meant to be a grand castle larger than any other, but it quickly took a dark turn. Over the forty-year construction, thousands of captives died due to harsh conditions, as Alys mentions. Worse, rumor has it that Harren mixed human blood into the mortar of his stone in an unnecessary form of cruelty. This terrible beginning earns Harrenhal the reputation of being built on the blood of men, which fits right in with its creepy aesthetic.

The Maester Has Spoken
Your House Is…
Advertisement

Your answers point to the great house whose words, values, and way of surviving in Westeros match your own. Bend the knee — or don’t. That’s very much up to you.

Winterfell · The North

🐺 House Stark

Winter is Coming — and you have always known it. You prepare not out of fear but out of duty, because the people who depend on you deserve someone who takes the long view.

  • You lead with honour even when it costs you, because you understand that a reputation built on integrity is the only one worth having.
  • Your loyalty to family and people runs deep — not as sentiment but as a code that doesn’t bend when things get difficult.
  • The North endures because Starks endure — not by being the cleverest players in the game, but by being the kind of people others are willing to follow into the cold.
  • You are that kind of person. The pack survives. The lone wolf dies. You already know which one you are.

Casterly Rock · The Westerlands

🦁 House Lannister

You understand the game — its rules, its exceptions, and exactly when the rules become the exception. You play it without illusions and without apology.

  • You are sharper than most people realise, and you have learned to use that gap to your advantage.
  • A Lannister always pays their debts — and you always keep your word, because your word is an instrument of power, and instruments must be kept in working order.
  • You love your family with a ferocity that sometimes blinds you, and you know it, and you do it anyway.
  • The lion doesn’t concern itself with the opinion of sheep. Neither, in the end, do you.

Dragonstone · The Iron Throne

🐉 House Targaryen

You carry a sense of destiny that is difficult to explain and impossible to ignore — the feeling that you are not simply participating in the world but meant to reshape it.

  • You are capable of extraordinary things, and you know it, and that knowledge is both your greatest strength and your most dangerous quality.
  • Fire and blood are not just words to you — they are a philosophy about what change requires and what it costs.
  • The Targaryens at their best were transformative rulers who broke chains and defied the limits of what anyone thought possible.
  • At your best, so are you. The dragon has three heads. You are one of them.

Storm’s End · The Stormlands

🦌 House Baratheon

You are a force — direct, powerful, and difficult to ignore when you enter a room or a conflict. You do not negotiate with challenges. You meet them.

  • Ours is the fury — and yours is a kind of intensity that commands attention, respect, and occasionally fear from those who underestimate what’s behind it.
  • You value strength and straight dealing. You’d rather know where you stand in a fight than navigate a web of courtly whispers.
  • The Baratheons built their house on the back of one of the greatest military victories in Westerosi history — and then struggled with what came after.
  • The lesson of your house is that winning is not the end of the story. Governing is. You are learning that too.

Highgarden · The Reach

🌹 House Tyrell

You understand that power does not always announce itself — that sometimes it arrives with flowers, good wine, and a smile that doesn’t quite reach the eyes.

  • Growing strong is your house’s motto, and you live it: patiently, strategically, always investing in the relationships and resources that will matter most when it counts.
  • You are charming by choice and calculating by nature — a combination that makes you one of the most effective players in any room you enter.
  • The Tyrells fed King’s Landing and shaped its politics without ever sitting on the Iron Throne — and they were arguably more powerful for it.
  • You know that the person who controls the food controls the kingdom. And you always know where the food is.

However, that isn’t the only element of Harrenhal’s construction that plays into its haunted nature, as the castle has sacred Weirwood trees built into it. According to legend, Harren the Black ordered an ancient grove of Weirwood trees cut down and used in construction, disregarding their status in the old religion. This desecration is often cited as the reason Harrenhal is cursed, as it angered the Old Gods. Yet, the rumors of ghosts and a curse are only a symptom of the problem because Harrenhal has been a dark and threatening place from its very beginning.

‘House of the Dragon’ Shows Harrenhal’s Curse Unlike ‘Game of Thrones’

Be it the ghosts of those killed or the displeasure of the Old Gods, Harrenhal’s history does support the idea of it being cursed. From its immediate destruction in dragonfire during Aegon’s Conquest to the brutal extension of most Houses that ever held it, Harrenhal does seem to be cursed. House of the Dragon leans into Harrenhal’s reputation for dark magic even further, proving that it isn’t just a superstition. The castle has played a significant part in the prequel, but none of it has been good. Not only did several members of the Strong family die there in Season 1, but Daemon’s (Matt Smith) journey in Season 2 shows him experiencing terrifying visions during his time there. Now, Aemond is facing the same torment, once again showing that Harrenhal is more than a creepy castle, especially now that it is under Alys’ control.

This eerie supernatural tone is a distinct change from how the castle comes across in Game of Thrones. Harrenhal appears in a few memorable storylines in the original series, such as Arya’s (Maisie Williams) time disguised as a cupbearer for Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance) and Brienne’s (Gwendoline Christie) fight against a bear. However, these scenes do not highlight the dark magic that sets Harrenhal apart. In some ways, this makes sense as magic largely dies out before Game of Thrones, only to be slowly reawakened when Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) dragons hatch. In House of the Dragon, magic is still prevalent, and Harrenhal shows that, becoming a fitting way for the prequel to explore Westeros’ dark history. After seeing so much of the castle in House of the Dragon, it’s clear something supernatural is going on there, and Alys’ comments go a long way to explaining why Harrenhal is the way that it is.

House of the Dragon is streaming on HBO Max with new episodes on Sundays.

How Many Big Bang Theory Spinoff Are There Johnny Galecki Iain Armitage Montana Jordan

HBO Max is expanding The Big Bang Theory universe with its Stuart Fails to Save the Universe spinoff — but who makes up the cast?

The Big Bang Theory, which aired on CBS from 2007 to 2019, starred Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch as a group of best friend scientists and their — sometimes polar opposite — significant others.

The Big Bang Theory won 10 Emmy Awards during its 12-season run and spawned the prequel series, Young Sheldon. The follow-up focused on Sheldon’s life (Iain Armitage) as a child prodigy growing up in Texas.

In addition to serving as an executive producer, Parsons acted as the narrator across all seven seasons — at one point even making an onscreen appearance as adult Sheldon in the 2024 finale.

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Jenny Slatten’s daughter Christina is giving fans an update on stepdad Sumit Singh’s visa application process amid the 90 Day Fiancé star’s public ALS battle.

“I wanted to let you guys know that we have started the visa process for Sumit to come to the U.S. [and] to bring my mom so she can come here and get more treatment using her insurance,” Christina said in an Instagram video uploaded on Wednesday, July 22. “Because the doctors have told her she cannot travel alone because it’s such a long flight.”

Earlier this year, Jenny revealed she was diagnosed with ALS after experiencing symptoms for more than a year. Since receiving her diagnosis in May, Sumit has become Jenny’s “full-time caregiver” on top of being her husband.

Christina added that they decided to have Sumit apply for an “emergency tourist spousal visa” rather than a green card given her mom’s health.

“We have applied for an emergency tourist spousal visa, not for a green card. Only for a tourist visa. It’s a lot longer of a process to try to get a green card, especially right now,” she said, referring to the United States’ current immigration process. “They’re not making it easy for anyone. So we’re going the tourist route.”

Christina explained that she spoke to her senator’s office who told her that the visa process could “take some time” if Sumit is allowed to proceed.

“So we’ve started it and we’re waiting for the Indian consulate to give Sumit his appointment,” she said. “As of right now we’re still waiting on the appointment and there has been no update when that will happen.”

Christina also shared that her mother’s doctor provided a note “stating her diagnosis and that she cannot travel alone from here on out to come back to the United States.”

“We are working on it and we’re gonna try our damndest to get Sumit here with my mom. So stay tuned,” she said.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Layla Taylor has a new love interest! Weeks after coming out as bisexual during a candid interview, the TV personality appeared to have confirmed who her new boo is in a new TikTok video.

Layla Taylor’s dating life has been a topic of conversation since the first season of “SLOMW” debuted on Hulu in 2024. Throughout the last four seasons, the mother of two has not only documented her divorce from Clayton Wessel, but she’s also dated Cameron Jolly and Mason McWhorter on camera.

On July 21, TikTok creator Kelsie Chesser posted a video set to a trending Beyoncé sound, with overlaid text that read, “When I slid into my girlfriends DM’s just hoping she was into girls.” Of course, “SLOMW” fans rushed to the comments to see whether she was talking about Taylor. However, they didn’t have to speculate for too long, considering Taylor commented, “Folded.”

Taylor recently shared a video of herself holding the hand of a woman off-screen. That video also featured overlaid text that shed more light on her newfound identity. “‘You’re glowing recently’ thanks I’m dating a woman now,” the text read. She even captioned the video, “Chivalry isn’t dead it’s w the lesbians.”

Layla Taylor Recently Came Out As Bisexual

According to a previous report from The Blast, Taylor recently came out as bisexual during an interview with Jay Shetty. During the conversation, the Hulu reality star said that she’s now “gay and bi,” confirming that she has romantic feelings for men and women.

Taylor told Shetty that she’s known about her feelings for women since she was a child, but she wasn’t able to act on them because of her upbringing. Over the last few years, though, Taylor has become more comfortable with who she is and said that she’d no longer live inside of a box. “I’ll be d-mned if I’m not able to be fully who I am,” she said.

Layla Taylor’s Breakup Helped Her Realize She Was Into Women

As mentioned above, Taylor has showcased her romantic relationships on camera over the last several years. In season 4 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” viewers saw Taylor struggling in her relationship with McWhorter, who voiced his concerns about dating Taylor because of her two small children.

While speaking with Shetty, Taylor confirmed that she and McWhorter ended things and even revealed that their split helped her realize she was into women. “Honestly, I went through a breakup at the beginning of this year, and I feel like for just a long period of my life, I was constantly living my life for other people,” she said.

“Whether that was being a mom or I was in a marriage at one point, I was married. And I just feel like I was always fulfilling other people around me. And it honestly just caused me to never really focus on myself and never be able to really just sit alone with who I am as a person… And I think honestly that breakup was like a blessing in disguise because I feel like now I’ve been fully able to just focus on Layla. And yeah, just focus on who I truly am.”

This Famous Rock Singer Recently Came Out As Gay

Taylor isn’t the only public figure who has recently opened up about being part of the LGBTQ+ community. According to The Blast, rock singer Caleb Shomo also came out as a “proudly gay man” this summer, sharing that it’s something he’s struggled with “for quite some time now.”
