Director Guy Ritchie is never far from our screens, and he’s back with a second season of two of his biggest shows this month. First is The Gentlemen, the Theo James-led crime comedy that took Netflix by storm. Second is the return of MobLand on Paramount+, which was a huge hit in its first season. It hasn’t all been smooth sailing ahead of MobLand Season 2, with star Tom Hardy reported to have been fired from the show amid off-screen conflicts.

Thankfully, these issues were resolved, as it was confirmed that Hardy would return as Harry Da Souza in the now-confirmed third season of MobLand. Season 2 of the hit crime series will officially begin streaming on September 18, with 10 episodes in the new season airing weekly on Paramount+. Hardy is joined by a stacked returning cast for Season 2, which includes Pierce Brosnan (Mamma Mia!), Helen Mirren (Gosford Park), and Paddy Considine (Doctor Sleep). With just a couple of weeks until Harry Da Souza returns, fans have been flocking to streaming to catch another of Hardy’s big franchises.

At the time of writing, Venom: The Last Dance is one of the ten most-watched movies on Disney+ in the U.S. The final entry in Hardy’s sci-fi trilogy is arguably the most disappointing, with The Last Dance earning mixed reviews from critics. That being said, with a 79% average approval rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes from audiences, it’s clear that The Last Dance ticked all the boxes for fans. The film featured a starry ensemble, including Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) as Rex Strickland, Juno Temple (Ted Lasso) as Dr. Teddy Paine, Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man) as Martin Moon, and Stephen Graham (Adolescence) as Patrick Mulligan.

How Much Did ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Make at the Box Office?

When all is said and done, Venom: The Last Dance can be remembered as a box office success. Against a reported budget of $110 million, the movie earned just shy of $500 million worldwide, split between a domestic haul of $140 million and a further $335 million from overseas markets. However, The Last Dance was the worst performing of the three Venom movies, and hinted at a declining interest in Hardy’s portrayal of Eddie Brock.

That quieter side of her life recently came into focus when Cavallari offered fans a rare look inside the sprawling Tennessee estate she has spent years transforming into a family sanctuary.

“Something as small as they fly coach, I’m flying first class. That was important to me when they became old enough that they could,” she shared. “It’s not [difficult to do] when they’re older. I’m like, ‘Bye guys, have fun back there.’”

According to Cavallari, the arrangement was intentional and reflected lessons she wanted Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor to learn as they grew older.

She explained that she did not want her children to assume that privileges automatically came with their family’s financial success. 

Instead, she hoped they would develop an appreciation for hard work, responsibility, and earning rewards rather than expecting them. Cavallari indicated that she believes giving children everything immediately could create unrealistic expectations about adulthood.

The Transformers franchise has been around for over four decades now, and since then, the Autobots, Decepticons, and other alien machines have waged war across countless stages. Originally beginning as a toy line by Hasbro and Takara Tomy, it’s since become one of the most profitable multimedia juggernauts out there, with 11 movies and an avalanche of animated series spread across different eras that don’t just revolve around Optimus Prime and Megatron. Hollywood also brought them onto the big screen like never before with the visual spectacles that were Michael Bay‘s ill-received but high-grossing live-action CGI films and their follow-ups, Bumblebee and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Yet, after 40 years, The Transformers: The Movie has come to be recognized as a cinematic high point of the franchise, with an epic story and surprising darkness and tragedy for a family film.

In celebration of the 1986 animated adventure’s milestone anniversary this year, Hasbro has been going all out with a year-long “Apology Tour” in recognition of all the childhoods traumatized by the death of Optimus Prime and other fan favorites in the film. The festivities have ranged from concerts to new toys, merchandise, and more, but the main event is the return of The Transformers: The Movie to theaters in glorious 4K. Viewers will get to relive the scarring moments, the sweeping battle against the planet-devouring Unicron, and the memorable soundtrack on the big screen from September 17 through 21 courtesy of Fathom Entertainment. However, one piece of the celebration will arrive a bit later than expected.

Insight Editions and Titan Books have delayed the massive anniversary art book, The Transformers: The Movie: The Ultimate Visual History, from its original October 27 release date and will now be publishing it on November 24, a few days shy of Thanksgiving. The later date isn’t for nothing, though. It has grown in size, from 256 pages of illustrations and insight into the animated classic to 282. While there’s no indication of what those new contents will be, the recent death of the longtime voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen, may have spurred the need for an expanded volume. Much of the book by author Chris Prince will be told through interviews with members of the creative team, taking readers on a journey through all parts of the creation, from the eye-popping visuals to the character and environment designs, the casting of legendary actors from Orson Welles to Leonard Nimoy, and the rocking soundtrack defined by Stan Bush and Kick Axe. Beyond the many designs illustrating this collector’s item, there will also be a section dedicated to the lasting impact of the movie on the wider Transformers franchise.

‘The Transformers: The Movie’ Will Be Paired With Peter Cullen’s Final Performance

After seeing The Transformers: The Movie in theaters again, The Ultimate Visual History looks to be a perfect celebration of its legacy on every level. Hasbro’s “Apology Tour” includes one other surprise, however. After the credits roll on the anniversary screenings, viewers will be treated to an entirely new Transformers short, Optimus Prime: Awakening, that will serve as one final adventure for the Autobots leader and a bookend to Cullen’s time as the voice of an animated hero. This is confirmed to be Cullen’s last original performance as Prime after over 40 years of using his booming, yet warm voice to exemplify the bot’s courage, wisdom, compassion, and strength.

Jennifer Lawrence has never been one to shy away from speaking her mind, and comments about Hollywood’s male actors have once again caught attention.

Without mentioning names, the actress once stated that some of her male colleagues get offended whenever she refuses to have sex with them on set.

In a previous interview with the Las Culturistas podcast, Lawrence opened up about filming intimate scenes with some of her male colleagues.

The actress has starred in several romantic films, including “Die My Love,” in which she appeared alongside “Batman” star Robert Pattinson.

She enjoyed that collaboration, as Pattinson behaved differently from some of the male stars she had met on set.

“A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to f-ck them,” the actress told her hosts while withholding names.

She added that when she openly refused some of the actors, they would “punish” her, though she did not explain what that entailed.

Fans began to speculate about what kind of punishment Lawrence must have meant in her revelation about her male colleagues.

“I imagine much the same way as always — pettiness and spite, ignoring and avoiding them and their professional input, patronizing them and badmouthing them to others on the project and to friends,” one person wrote.

“From someone who’s been on many sets, they avoid eye contact with you, then act very aggressive and condescending towards you when you have to interact with them. Everyone on set notices, but no one intervenes,” another individual commented.

Another netizen said they weren’t surprised by Lawrence’s admission, given how the entertainment industry allegedly operates.

“It’s not totally surprising that kindness and respect is a rarity in an industry dominated by nepotism, privileged people, uber-rich, the mollycoddled, the entitled, narcissists, egomaniacs, spoiled… etc,” they said.

At the time Lawrence made the comment, she also admitted she had not used an intimacy coordinator with Pattinson when they worked together.

According to her, Pattinson was “not pervy,” and they instead spent most of their free time talking about their personal relationships with their partners and children.

She also claimed that she “felt really safe” with the actor, which further reduced the need for an intimacy coordinator.

“If there was a little bit of [weird] I would probably have an intimacy coordinator,” the actress also noted.

Jennifer Lawrence Says She Had ‘No Issues’ With Nudity

One of the intimate scenes filmed during production was right at the beginning of shooting, with both Lawrence and Pattinson fully nude and physically wrestling with each other as required by the script.

She later revealed during the film’s screening that she had no issues with nudity and even turned down a request from one of the crew members to touch up some of the cellulite she had at the time.

“I don’t care about nudity. I’m not sensitive about it,” Lawrence said. “I think being pregnant took a lot of, like, vanity anxiety away. Before No Hard Feelings, I was dieting and not eating carbs and working out. I was pregnant [for Die My Love]. Like, what was I gonna do? Not eat?”

She added, “I was working 15 hours a day. I was just tired… I remember, like, them sending over a close-up of cellulite and being like, ‘Do you want us to touch this up?’ And I was like, ‘No. That’s an -ss.’”

More recently, Lawrence told British Vogue that she is open to Botox, though she hopes to keep it to a minimum.

“I can’t really get very much done. I need to have movement in my face — I get baby Botox, but I can’t do a lot,” she told the outlet for her cover story.

She also shared that she draws the line at buccal fat surgery because of how glaring it would be to everyone.

“I support other people doing them because I want to continue to watch and see what happens, but I don’t know about that,” she shared. “I mean, I would love to have a buccal fat removal. I can’t because everybody would know, but just know that I want that.”

‘Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory’ (1971)

One of the most brilliantly subversive family movies of all time, Mel Stuart‘s Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory may have been hated by Roald Dahl upon release (then again, not that Dahl ever approved of any cinematic adaptation of his work), but cinephiles throughout the years have never stopped considering it one of the most magical family movies ever made.

Reasons to love Willy Wonka are abundant, and the iconicity and memorability of its dialogue is certainly no small reason. It’s primarily the lines delivered by Gene Wilder as Wonka himself that have gone down in history as some of the fantasy genre’s most commonly quoted, but pretty much the entire script penned by David Seltzer and Dahl himself is full of unforgettable lines of dialogue.

‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl’ (2003)

Based on the iconic Disneyland attraction, the Pirates of the Caribbean series proved that, when they put enough love and passion into it, Disney could really make an awesome movie out of any concept. The first film is Curse of the Black Pearl, where a blacksmith teams up with an eccentric pirate to save his love from the pirate’s former allies, who are now undead monsters.

Curse of the Black Pearl is one of the best and most entertaining pirate swashbucklers in the history of movies, packed with creativity, humor, great action, and some genuinely scary moments. What’s most memorable and fun about the whole film, though, is arguably the presence of Johnny Depp’s bombastic Captain Jack Sparrow, who has most of the best quotes in the series. Curse of the Black Pearl is wonderfully written, and that includes some super strong dialogue that bolsters the story, world, and characters remarkably well.

‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ (1946)

Frank Capra‘s It’s a Wonderful Life is so much more than just the quintessential Christmas classic. Part endearing rom-com, part profoundly moving character drama, part complex exploration of depression and suicide in men, it’s far and away one of the best movies of Hollywood’s Golden Age. It’s the story of George Bailey, a frustrated businessman who thinks the world would be better off without him. So, an angel is sent from Heaven to show him what life would have been like if he had never been born.

A huge part of what makes It’s a Wonderful Life one of the most uplifting drama movies in history is the outstanding screenplay, which has an emotionally riveting story, an engrossing protagonist, and a formidable villain. It also includes some of the most quotable dialogue of this era of Hollywood, from Clarence the angel’s delightful bits of wisdom to George and his wife Mary’s many romantic conversations.

When Pixar released Toy Story, the first-ever fully CG-animated feature film in history, the animated film industry changed forever. There aren’t many movie moments more magical than hearing “Some…BODY” and the kick in the door that opens the story of DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek. Winner of the first Best Animated Feature Oscar ever, it’s a fairy tale comedy about an ogre who, after his swamp home is taken over by fairy tale creatures who have been evicted by a mean lord, must go on a quest to rescue a princess in order to get his land back.

Shrek has everything that anyone could ask for in a family movie. Plenty of fun moments and amusing jokes to charm the little ones? Check. A surprisingly even larger number of hidden adult jokes and clever deconstructions of the fairy tale movie genre? Check. Some of the greatest, most quotable lines in animated movie history? Definitely check. Awesome music, hilarious jokes, and a number of emotional moments make Shrek one of the best animated films of the 21st century, all memes aside.

All eyes are on Nintendo, and specifically, The Legend of Zelda, as the year enters its final stretch. While Grand Theft Auto VI is undoubtedly the blockbuster gaming release of the fall, set to land with a seismic impact on November 19, the company could still change the landscape of the season fairly notably depending on when it officially dates its Ocarina of Time remake. Tuesday, September 8, should finally answer when the much-anticipated game will arrive this year thanks to a special 40th anniversary Nintendo Direct celebrating a milestone year in Zelda’s history. However, even before the future of the fantasy adventure series is explored, one release is already dated to commemorate the special occasion.

Earlier this year, Nintendo unveiled The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — Secrets of the Zonai, a new hardcover artbook full of illustrations, insights by the creative team, and Hyrule history from the surface to the sky islands and the titular Zonai themselves. Spanning 472 pages, the book primarily shows the perspective of the developers, with exclusive “behind-the-scenes sketches, notes, rough designs, concept art, and recollections” from throughout the process of bringing the game to life. However, over 80 pages are dedicated to expanding the lore of Tears of the Kingdom, specifically unfurling the past of the Zonai civilization leading up to the beginning of the Breath of the Wild sequel. The wait for Secrets of the Zonai won’t be much longer, as it’s locked in to hit store shelves on October 20. Pre-orders are already open for either the standard hardcover at $59.99 or the Hero Edition, which features a few extra goodies, including a green slipcase containing the book with a special green cover, an art print featuring Link with the sages, a cloth map of the depths, and a replica of the Secret Stone of Time. Picking up this version courtesy of Dark Horse Books will be costly, though, coming in at $119.99.

What Else Is Expected at ‘The Legend of Zelda’s 40th Anniversary Direct?

Between Secrets of the Zonai and the anniversary direct, Nintendo still has a lot left in store as The Legend of Zelda‘s 40th birthday year comes to a close. The upcoming presentation, however, should have a lot to say about where the franchise is going in the near future. Ocarina of Time will undoubtedly be a big part of their showcase, but it’s also likely to be where Nintendo provides a new look at the upcoming The Legend of Zelda movie from Wes Ball. Last month, the rest of the main cast was revealed, with Uli Latukefu joining Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason as the evil warlock, Ganondorf, alongside Yvonne Strahovski, Dichen Lachman, and the late great Sam Neill in his final role. With the film due to be released on April 30 next year, a trailer isn’t out of the question. It remains to be seen if the gaming giant will also tease a proper new game for the Nintendo Switch 2 era, considering it’s been three years since Tears of the Kingdom.

North West reached a major milestone over the weekend as she stepped into the spotlight for her first solo concert, drawing a packed crowd eager to see the teenager perform music from her growing catalog. 

The sold-out event at Chicago’s Vic Theatre marked another step in North’s emergence as a young entertainer.

However, while the night belonged to the 13-year-old performer, it also brought her famous parents under the same roof, creating a notable family dynamic behind the scenes.

Rob Reiner has received a posthumous Emmy for his role in “The Bear,” several months after his tragic death at 78 years old. The late actor and filmmaker won Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys, marking his third Emmy and breaking a record previously held by his father, actor and screenwriter Carl Reiner.

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held on September 5 and 6, celebrating specialized performers and production professionals whose work helps bring TV productions to life.

On the second night of the prestigious event, late filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner was posthumously awarded for Outstanding Guest in a Comedy Series for “The Bear,” nearly nine months after his death on December 14, 2025. He was honored with a standing ovation from the audience.

Reiner bested nominees Michael J. Fox (Shrinking), Brett Goldstein (Shrinking), Hamish Linklater (Widow’s Bay), Christopher McDonald (Hacks), and Connor Storrie (Saturday Night Live).

Reiner’s win marks the first posthumous Emmy for an on-camera performance since Puerto Rican actor Raúl Juliá won in 1995 for the drama film “The Burning Season.”

Presenter Wendi McLendon-Covey accepted the award on the filmmaker’s behalf, saying, “We all wish he was here,” per Deadline.

The Filmmaker Broke His Father’s Emmy Record

90 Day Fiancé fans should prepare themselves for another wild and unpredictable tell-all special.

TLC released the official trailer for the shocking 90 Day Fiancé season 12 reunion on Sunday, September 6, and once again the drama is palpable.

As the cast heads to New York City to meet and mingle, Catie Norboe is put in the hot seat after she enjoys a few tequila shots during a night out. At one point she tells a man — who is not her partner — that she’d “love to make out.”

“Don’t you think he’s embarrassed by you kissing other people?” Ashia Montgomery asks Catie as she sits alongside her partner, Josh Atkins.

Not taking the questioning well, Catie begins snapping at Josh before walking off in tears.

“I can do whatever I want. I don’t have to listen to you,” she says. “I think I do better on my own. I don’t want to talk to them ever again.”

Shea McGuire and Annabelle Chua are also forced to answer some tough questions. During the tell-all, host Shaun Robinson asks Shea what his relationship is like with his ex-wife Nicole today.

“I spoke with her on the phone a couple of times,” he replies calmly.

Viewers will soon find out how true that statement is when Shaun brings out a surprise guest.

“Well, there is some behavior of Shea that was inappropriate,” she claims. “Please welcome Shea’s ex-wife, Nicole.”

When Annabelle asks Nicole why she is here, she replies, “He’s not a faithful man. I have all of these things that I can show.”

Despite the tough round of questioning, the cast is able to have a little bit of fun. Raşit Kebabci’s partner, Mallorie DeGrange, tries to lighten the mood when she asks the ladies to play an innocent game.

“I’m going to give you three names,” she says. “You have to say, ‘f***, marry or kill: Rasit, Mido, Edward.”

Catie is quick to participate — and not name her partner — when she replies, “Marry Edward, f*** Mido because he’s hot and sorry I would [chuck] Rasit.”

Cameras also roll when Raşit Kebabci meets several of his costars for the first time.

Mido doesn’t appear to be exactly thrilled to meet the outspoken reality star, while Thomas claims he gets just a little too close.

“It was a forceful hug to rub his perfume on me,” he claims. “Your smell is an invasion.”
