The fiancée of late Memphis Grizzlies star Brandon Clarke has broken her silence, nearly one week after his unexpected death at age 29.

“There are no words to describe this feeling,” Amber Lorraine wrote in the caption of a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday, May 17. (Lorraine has since switched her account to private.)

“I never thought I’d have to live life without you,” she continued. “I’m not really sure how to do this without you by my side. You were the most special person, with the biggest heart. You made an impact on so many people, but most of all me. I have never felt so loved and cared for, you made me feel like the most special girl in the world.”

Clarke was found dead on May 11 at a home in Los Angeles. A cause of death has not been officially determined, but it is being investigated as a possible drug overdose.
