WHO, not that girl, roomies? Chappell Roan had jaws drop at the 2026 Grammys after she hit the red carpet in a risqué gown. By the end of the award show, she had rocked three unique looks. But her first, the Mugler throwback, is the one the internet is still yapping about! Some reactions have even drawn comparisons to Bianca Censori’s shocking nude look from the 2025 Grammys.

Chappell Roan’s Dress Was Hanging On By Two Threads

Hope and good needlework? As said, Mugler assisted Chapelle Roan with turning heads on Sunday (Feb. 1). She graced the Grammys red carpet in a couture gown from the designer’s spring/summer 1998 collection. At first, Chappelle covered the risqué look with a sheer, wine-colored cape by Mugler. Then, she exposed her matching, sheer dress. It was draped low in the back to show a skin design, but the front of the dress took hang time over the top! Two small chains were affixed to the singer’s nipples to hold up the front of the dress, while the rest of her bare breasts remained visible. She wore color-matched underwear.

According to the Associated Press, the Mugler piece is called a “georgette négligée dress.” Her makeup artist, Andrew Dahling, reportedly told Marie Claire about the makeup look. The singer’s fake back tattoo was also reportedly a nod at her ‘Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things Tour.’

“We started with this very archival, full, bare moment,” Dahling said. “Once the tattoos came into play, everything became very medieval, but in a real way. It’s still fantasy and something otherworldly, but grounded.”

More Of Chapelle’s Looks From Grammys 2026 + 2025

One thing about it, sis did not waste her opportunity to show OUT! This year’s topless look is a huge shift from how Chappell Roan showed up in 2025. She previously wore a canary yellow Jean Paul Gaultier tulle ballgown.

“She’s such a shape-shifter,” InStyle Beauty Director Lauren Valenti said. “She was just kind of looking like this moody pre-Raphaelite goddess.”

One Year Ago, Bianca Censori Served A Nude Slay

Chappelle Roan approached the 2026 Grammys red carpet with that Bianca Censori energy. Last year, Ye’s wife wore the jaw-dropper of the night when she pulled up in a skin-toned nude dress. No underwear. Just bare breasts and her female genitalia on display for the flashing cameras. Ultimately, she and Ye, formerly Kanye West, didn’t attend the actual show. However, their red carpet appearance was the talk of the internet and media outlets for days after! Within a week, Bianca’s mother and sister surfaced with reactions to Censori’s ensemble.

Bianca skipped the awards this year, but in December, she turned heads again with a “human furniture” art exhibit that Ye publicly supported!
