Claressa Shields Reacts After Question About Dating Married Man

Since popping out with Papoose, Claressa Shields has never played about him! Recently, she kept the same energy after an interviewer asked her about dating a “married man.” It’s a question that’s been swirling online since Remy Ma exposed her estranged husband’s relationship with the champ boxer.

Claressa Shields Reacts To Question About Dating Papoose

Shields appears to be on a press tour for an upcoming boxing match against Kaye Scott on August 15. The fight is set to take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. She stopped by the city’s radio station, Streetz 94.5 FM, and chatted about the event, her career and overall personal life. At one point, the interviewer asked, “How much longer are you willing to be in a relationship with somebody’s husband?” Before the interviewer wrapped up the question, Shields had already started jumping in to respond. Still, the interviewer continued, saying, “Because at the end of the day, that’s what people are looking at.” Shields immediately responded, clocking the interviewer’s description of Papoose.

“Well, pause. ‘Cause that’s not somebody’s husband. Papoose filed for divorce. Y’all hate to say that word, but it’s the word that’s out there. He filed for divorce because he’s serious about me. So, I’m not with somebody’s husband and if you’re going to call him her husband, make sure you call her his wife and also hold her accountable for what she’s doing in her life.”

Claressa added that Remy Ma, who she didn’t explicitly name, is also living her life with someone else. “So don’t make it seem like it’s just one-sided. I’m not with somebody’s husband. I’m with the man who filed for divorce, who’s serious about me, who’s done things for me that I’ve done for him. So that’s not what it is,” Shields clarified.

What’s Going On With Remy Ma & Papoose? 

In this new interview, Claressa Shields said that Papoose is going through the courts. However, she didn’t clarify whether their divorce has been finalized. “It takes time,” she said. This is nearly the same statement Claressa made last December, when ‘The Breakfast Club’ hosts invited her to join an interview they were holding with Papoose. She spoke out after DJ Envy spoke of wanting Remy Ma and Papoose to mend their friendship and lock in on co-parenting.

“That takes time. It’s a divorce. It’s not something that just happens overnight, but people life don’t stop because of that. It’s papers, it’s time, it’s stuff that gotta happen, but at the end of the day, we move forward with our lives,” Claressa said. Pap jumped in at that point saying, “Like I said, I wish her the best..” and Claressa added, “Yeah, for sure.”

Claressa Gives Chrisean Rock Advice

Claressa Shields recently linked up with Chrisean Rock for boxing training and filmed their session. But the sport isn’t the only topic that women discussed. Claressa also gave Chrisean a bit of love life advice. Shields didn’t name names, but fans put two and two together. She advised Rock to duck, hide and dip anytime the ‘Thotiana’ rapper is on the scene in order to maintain control over her narrative. The boxer’s advice came after Rock went viral for a livestream interaction with Blueface on a yacht. During their encounter, Rock confronted Blue about denying he’s her son’s father, while he called her out for alleging he’s gay.
