Dancing With the Stars’ Witney Carson Reveals Sex of 3rd Baby
Dancing With the Stars pro Witney Carson and her husband, Carson McAllister, have revealed the sex of their third baby.
“Baby McAllister number 3 is a…” Carson, 32, McAllister, 33, teased in a joint Instagram post on Monday, September 21.
The clip featured Carson and McAllister standing at the edge of a dock with their backs turned to their sons, Leo, 5, and Jet, 3. Leo opened up an envelope tucked into a basket with blue and pink bouquets — discovering that he will soon have another little brother.
Carson and McAllister turned around to find Leo handing them the blue bouquet — though, in a cute twist, Jet also presented them with the pink flowers as well. To clear up any confusion, Carson clarified in the caption that she is expecting her third son.

“We couldn’t be happier or feel more blessed with all these boys,” the DWTS pro wrote. “I love being a boy mom. My greatest honor in life is to raise them.”
Carson announced on August 17 that she is expecting the couple’s third baby — all while gearing up for DWTS season 35. The pro dancer, who is foxtrotting with Jimmy Kimmel Live! sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez in the ballroom, already shares sons Leo and Jet with McAllister.
“I would be lying if I said it wasn’t very daunting. I’ve never been this far along pregnant and competing on Dancing With the Stars, ever,” Carson noted on Good Morning America. “I don’t know if it’s ever been done.”
She added, “I’m so proud to be a woman, to be creating life and growing this human, and to be able to do the show and compete … is such a huge blessing.”
Later that month, Carson hinted that she already knew the sex of her unborn child.
“We’re, kind of, waiting ‘til the 20-week ultrasound so we can for sure confirm,” the two-time mirrorball champion said on “The Viall Files” podcast on August 20. “We did, like, that little sneak peek test at the beginning, but I don’t fully believe it yet.”
While Carson and McAllister have previously planned elaborate sex reveals, they opted to keep things “really simple” this time around.
“We just did it with the boys, and we didn’t do, like, the whole explosion,” she quipped. “People go just too far. I feel like with gender reveals, it’s like, OK, we’ve gotten it. It’s gotten out of hand.”

As for her sons, Carson gushed that Leo and Jet are already “excited” about becoming big brothers.
“We’ve kept it a secret for so long. So, the fact that we can share it now, they always ask me, they’re like, ‘Mom, can I tell?’ They’re so excited,” Carson told podcast hosts Nick Viall and Natalie Joy. “So, by the time this baby’s born, my oldest will be 6 and then my youngest will be 4. I feel like it really is a perfect time for us to grow our family and have a third.”
Carson, who was admittedly “completely surprised” by her pregnancy, was four months along when DWTS kicked off last week.
“We didn’t think we would get pregnant that quickly, so it was a little bit of like, ‘Oh, OK,’” she added. “I really didn’t have being four months pregnant, dancing and competing on my bingo card this year, but that’s what we’re doing.”
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Hulu.
