Demi Lovato is getting honest about what being married feels like. 

The singer recently shared heartfelt insights into her first year of marriage, reflecting on how her husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, has positively impacted her life since they tied the knot. 

The couple got engaged in December 2023 and exchanged vows in May 2025, during an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.

During the premiere of “Camp Rock 3,” Lovato opened up about her recent first wedding anniversary, pointing to transparent dialogue as the cornerstone of their relationship.

She revealed that being open with one another has strengthened her bond with Lutes and has made her a very happy woman.  

“When you’re able to communicate with each other what you need, what you want, it creates a safe space for the two of you to share your feelings with one another,” she explained to PEOPLE Magazine.

Emphasizing how essential that open dialogue has been over their first 12 months as husband and wife, the star expressed deep fulfillment in her married life. She also gushed about her partner, noting that the affection she feels towards him has continuously blossomed since she walked down the aisle.

“My love for Jordan grows every single day, and I’ve never been so happy in my life. So I think communication is a big part of that,” Lovato added.

While the singer typically ignores wild internet speculation, she spoke up after the creator posted a video using fluctuations in Lovato’s body weight as supposed proof of the replacement.

Lovato left a blunt comment on the post that read, “Girl go outside and leave my weight out of the equation.”

Interestingly, rather than backing down, the content creator doubled down on the interaction by taking a screenshot of the exchange and claiming the star’s focused reply was an admission.
