Fergie Reunites With Black Eyed Peas at the 2026 AMAs
Fergie had a very emotional reunion with her Black Eyed Peas bandmates at the 2026 American Music Awards.
“‘Rock That Body,’ we did it,” Fergie, 51, beamed during the annual awards show. “Black Eyed Peas, ‘Rock That Body,’ American Music Awards 2026, let’s go!”
The “Big Girls Don’t Cry” singer joined former bandmates will.i.am, APL.DE.AP and Taboo on stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Monday, May 25, to accept the Best Throwback Song Award for their 2010 hit “Rock That Body.”
The new AMAs category celebrated classic songs that ruled pop radio, with “Rock That Body” triumphing over 4 Non Blondes’ “What’s Up?” and Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.”

Prior to Monday’s win, the Black Eyed Peas hyped their American Music Award nomination via Instagram on April 15 by sharing a montage of TikToks set to “Rock That Body.”
“We’re honored to be nominated for the 2026 @amas !! ‘Rock That Body’ up for Best Throwback Song… a song we made all those years ago, still making an impact today,” they wrote.
Fergie was the lead vocalist of the Black Eyed Peas from 2002 to 2018, at which time she stepped away from the group to focus on her solo career.
“Since the beginning of Black Eyed Peas, we’ve always had amazing vocalists that appeared on the mic with us,” will.i.am, 51, told Ahlan at the time. “People like Macy Gray, Esthero, Debi Nova, Fergie. On Elephunk, there were several females that appeared on that album. Obviously, Fergie was the featured female, but on songs like ‘Let’s Get it Started,’ it’s Noelle [Scaggs], and then Fergie, songs like ‘Latin Girls,’ it’s Debi Nova, and ‘Request Line,’ it’s Macy Gray. We’ll always work with good females.”

He added, “As far as replacing [Fergie], what people know The Black Eyed Peas to be, nobody is replacing Fergie. She’s working on her solo project at the moment, we’re on this brand-new experience, celebrating 20 years of Black Eyed Peas putting out music.”
The classic lineup, including Fergie, finally reunited in December 2025 to celebrate all four of their 50th birthdays.
“Finally got to break bread and celebrate our milestone birthdays together,” Fergie wrote alongside photos of her with the Black Eyed Peas. “What a special night with my brothers, filled with so much love 🫛🫛♥️♥️”
Throughout their career, Fergie and Black Eyed Peas sold more than 80 million records worldwide and topped the Billboard Hot 100 three times with 2009’s “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling” as well as 2010’s “Imma Be.”
The 2026 American Music Awards aired on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
