Final Clayface Trailer Unleashes DC’s Terrifying Body Horror

DC Studios has released the final trailer for Clayface, offering its most disturbing look yet at the upcoming horror thriller.

Starring Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, the film follows a rising Hollywood actor whose life is shattered after a Gotham crime boss leaves him horribly disfigured. Desperate to reclaim his former life, Hagen undergoes an experimental treatment that initially appears to restore his face, only for terrifying side effects to begin transforming him into something else entirely.

The new trailer leans heavily into the film’s body-horror elements, showing Hagen struggling to control his rapidly changing body while his desperation gives way to revenge. It also offers another glimpse at the monstrous Clayface that Hagen will eventually become.

Directed by James Watkins from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, Clayface also stars Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan.

Rated R for strong bloody violence, gore, language, some nudity and brief drug use, Clayface marks a decidedly darker corner of the DC Universe.

Clayface arrives exclusively in theaters October 23.
