Fox Officially Confirms the End of an Era for 'The Simpsons' Sundays
The fall TV season is approaching fast, and Fox just released its schedule for the upcoming year. The TV industry is changing fast these days, but perhaps the biggest surprise is Fox moving the live-action sitcom Animal Control to Sunday nights, right after The Simpsons. This effectively ends the era of “Animation Domination” on the network — at least for fall. It’s also clear that the ground is shrinking under all scripted comedy in general, as Fox is trying to consolidate its most successful shows into one night. Ultimately, this will probably be good news for Animal Control, while The Simpsons is already counting on viewers in other venues.
