General Hospital: Anna’s Deadly Ghost Nightmare – Who Dies Next?

Published

on

General Hospital: Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) - Peter August (Wes Ramsey)

General Hospital has Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) back to Port Charles this week. Unfortunately, her mental health is not as restored as everybody thinks, and that is because Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is living rent-free in her head. So, Anna is essentially hallucinating his ghost and Faison’s worst son has a diabolical agenda that could cause Anna to do something deadly.

We’re going to talk about Peter pushing Anna to kill somebody according to official spoilers.

General Hospital: Anna’s Dangerous Delusions

So, this week, Anna’s family welcomes her home. Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) are thrilled she’s back and Emma Scorpio Drake (Brayden Bruner) and Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) are ready to welcome her home. So things seem great for Anna except for one big thing.

She’s hallucinating Peter and lying about it. So, right away Anna gets back into the hustle and flow of her old life. She’s back in her apartment with Emma. And soon Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is more than happy to give Anna back her job as police commissioner. Dante is going to be thrilled to be back as a detective without all the pressure of being the boss at the PCPD.

And official General Hospital spoilers say Anna comes home with deadly intentions. And at first, I wondered if she was going to come back and kill Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) for gaslighting her, but no, he’s already pushing up daisies thanks to WSB agent Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). So, the deadly intentions are clearly aimed at somebody else entirely. And I’m thinking that Peter wants Anna to kill somebody that he hates, that he’s got a grudge against.

So, Peter may advise Anna to settle a score that’s more about him, somebody who he thinks wronged him. But of course, this Peter thing ties back to the spoiler about Anna getting counsel from a less than reliable source. So, let’s talk about who Peter wants dead, or at least this twisted version of him that’s living inside Anna’s head.

Peter’s Potential Targets on GH

First and foremost, I’m thinking that it could be Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) that Peter wants dead. And of course, Anna knows that Peter hates Valentin because when Peter was a defenseless little kid, a baby, Valentin gave Peter to Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). And by all accounts, his childhood was terrible. Want to hear something odd? I don’t recall Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) ever mentioning Peter yet.

They were both raised by Faison, and their childhoods should have overlapped. There’s a roughly five-to-ten-year age gap between them. Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) handed Cassius to Faison and Valentin handed over Peter and Faison raised them both. Yet that never came up. We know Peter had a miserable childhood.

Some of it spent in boarding school and Cassius talked a little about his childhood, but we have to assume it was also awful. So Peter may want revenge on Valentin for him being raised by awful Faison. And Valentin already felt guilty about this. So, that’s why he watched over Peter and tried to help and protect him as best he could whenever he could.

And this week, spoilers say Anna and Valentin reconnect. And I think after that, we’re going to get to hear Peter’s thoughts on Valentin after he and Anna have that reunion. So, we’ll see if Peter says right away that he wants her to kill Valentin.

General Hospital: Peter May Target Felicia

Another obvious option as a revenge target for Peter is Felicia, who is Anna’s best friend. No doubt, Ghost Peter should hate Felicia for killing him. She whacked Peter in the head with a tire iron to save her daughter Maxie Jones, (Kirsten Storms) and then he fell down an embankment.

There was time to save him, but Anna didn’t call an ambulance. And instead, while everybody else walked away from Peter and left him bleeding out, she stayed. Anna sat there and she held Peter’s hand all the way till he drew his last breath so he didn’t die alone. So, this could be some manifestation of Anna’s guilt over his death, you know, because she sat there and let Peter die.

Another option for revenge could be one or both of the Quartermaine brothers, Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), primarily because Peter targeted them before. If you remember, he tried to kill Jason and Drew separately on multiple occasions. They didn’t start stuff with Peter. It was him coming after them. And if you remember, he had Jason locked in that Russian clinic for years under the name Patient Six. And Peter did a memory transfer between Jason and Drew for Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). Plus, Peter faked Drew’s death in that plane crash. So, Jason’s back soon, and Drew is about to recover from being locked in, so could be one of them.

Anna’s Connection to Jason on GH

And don’t forget, Anna had gotten really close to Jason. They even shared a kiss when they thought they were going to die in Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) camp in Africa. So, Anna might have Jason on her mind, and the Peter that lives in her head might be bothered by it. I tend to think that Drew would be less of a target, though.

Next, we could see Peter having Anna target Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) or Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). We know Anna gets in touch with both of these women from Faison’s life soon. Peter hates that Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) had a good life and that people loved him, including Britt and Liesl.

So, Peter might want Anna to punish them. Summer spoilers say that Britt faces tough questions from Anna. And those questions could be about her brother, Cassius, you know, he’s also Faison’s kid and related to Peter. So, Peter might want to find out more about how Cassius infiltrated General Hospital and pretended to be Nathan.

And don’t forget, Liesl kidnapped and tortured Peter before. And then Liesl actually tried to burn him alive in revenge for his role in her precious Nathan’s death. So, Peter might have some sort of attachment to Cassius that we’ve not heard of because they grew up together. And maybe he wants to punish Britt and Liesl for Cassius’ assumed death, we know he’s not dead. And since Cullum is dead and can’t be punished for killing him, maybe he’s going to go after one of them.

General Hospital: Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) - Peter August (Wes Ramsey)General Hospital: Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) - Peter August (Wes Ramsey)
General Hospital: Anna Devane – Peter August

General Hospital: Liz Targeted for Payback

One last option that might be interesting as a target for Peter is nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). If you remember, Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) thought he killed Peter when they had a confrontation in the stairwell of General Hospital and then Peter went tumbling down all those flights of stairs to his apparent death.

That was insane because Finn checked his pulse. A doctor said he was dead. Liz checked it, too. A nurse also confirmed Peter’s death. And then Liz helped Finn cover up Peter’s presumed death by shoving him in a freezer in the basement of General Hospital. But Liz and Finn can’t check a pulse properly, I guess, because Peter was alive and escaped. And with Finn gone, I could see Peter wanting to punish Liz for both of them.

General Hospital: Peter Drama Amps Up This Week

And you know, Peter might be mad that she helped cover up his death and made him into a human popsicle. However, I think Peter targeting Liz is a really long shot. I tend to lean towards it being somebody whom Peter and Anna both had much more involvement with, somebody like Valentin or Felicia. But we’ll find out more once we see Anna back in her apartment and having sketchy private conversations with ghost Peter. And then we’ll also hear what he says to Anna after her reunions with Felicia and Valentin and others that are close to Anna.

I will say this, I did not have Wes Ramsey returning to General Hospital as Peter August on my bingo card for summer and I see a lot of fans on soap social media saying no one asked for this. So, I’ll tell you this. Wes was back on Days of Our Lives. He was playing this villain that he had played gosh almost like twenty years ago and he was a kidnapping creep back then and he came back as a kidnapping creep again and I thought he did an okay job. A little more subtle than he had been on General Hospital. So, I’m going to give it a chance. I’m going to wait and see.

John Stamos Reveals Why He Will ‘Never’ Be On ‘DWTS’

Published

on

John Stamos at Wonka Domestic Premiere

John Stamos has finally explained why fans should stop hoping to see him compete for the Mirrorball Trophy on “Dancing With the Stars.”

The longtime television star recently admitted that despite years of speculation and repeated invitations, one major reason keeps him from joining the hit competition series. While many celebrities view the ballroom as a chance to reinvent themselves, Stamos believes the show isn’t the right fit for him.

John Stamos is opening up about his firm stance, revealing why he will “never” sign up for “Dancing With the Stars,” while reflecting on the personal journey that continues to shape his decisions today.

John Stamos revealed that despite receiving an invitation “every single season,” he has no plans to compete on “Dancing With the Stars.”

Speaking to Bobby Bones on his “The Bobbycast” podcast, the actor admitted he has repeatedly turned down producers and eventually told them to stop asking because his decision would never change.

Explaining his reasoning, Stamos said the show’s appeal comes from watching contestants struggle through demanding rehearsals, painful injuries, and embarrassing moments in front of millions of viewers. He joked that watching celebrities suffer may entertain audiences, but it is not an experience he wants for himself. In his words:

“What makes that show good is people suffering and looking like fools. They’re breaking their feet, calluses. I don’t want that.”

Bobby Bones tried to persuade him it would be worth it, but Stamos was adamant that the ballroom competition wasn’t for him.

The Actor Joked That The Dance Competition Was Rigged

Although Bobby Bones tried convincing him that competing on the show would be worth the experience, Stamos refused to budge. The actor instead teased the former champion about his Season 27 victory, joking that fellow contestant Juan Pablo Di Pace should have taken home the Mirrorball Trophy instead.

Stamos laughed that Bones had defeated somebody who had been getting all A’s from the judges all the time, and playfully said it didn’t make any sense to him. He even joked, “You know that it was rigged up for the competition, just telling you,” leaving both men laughing through the interview.

Despite the lighthearted exchange, Stamos made it clear his opinion has not changed. He said no amount of persuasion would convince him to join the celebrity dance competition.

John Stamos Isn’t The Only Star To Reject ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Stamos joins a long list of celebrities who have politely declined “Dancing With the Stars” over the years, each for their own reasons. Weird Al Yankovic turned down the show, telling Billboard he’s “frankly not a big fan of reality TV.”

Chef Bobby Flay took a similar stance, previously telling Zagat he didn’t want to become known as “that guy on Dancing with the Stars.” His concerns weren’t just professional either, as he once admitted his ex-wife threatened to leave him if he signed on.

Even Queen Latifah, who has performed on the show multiple times, has made clear she’d rather watch from home than compete herself, telling Access Hollywood she sees herself “as a performer, but not as a dancer.” For every celebrity chasing the Mirrorball Trophy, another is perfectly content saying no.

More Celebrities Who Have Said No To The Ballroom

Stamos is far from alone in giving “Dancing With the Stars” a hard pass. Kevin Jonas has been asked to join nearly every season for the last 20 years but has always declined, admitting, “it’s just not for me.”

Kylie Kelce feels similarly, telling Us Weekly she doesn’t want to do “anything reality,” including DWTS, adding that she says so “with my whole chest.” Tish Cyrus has echoed the sentiment, admitting on a podcast that the show’s live format leaves her too nervous to ever compete.

The show has also been turned down several times over the years by other stars, such as Gayle King and Paula Deen, for their own reasons, including not getting on the dance floor. Obviously, not all celebrity aspirations involve being on the show.

John Stamos’s Sobriety Journey Shapes His Priorities Today

Stamos’s stance on “Dancing With the Stars” isn’t just about dance — it reflects a broader shift in how he approaches his life since getting sober. The actor has been sober for close to six years, a journey that began after his 2015 DUI arrest pushed him toward therapy and real change.

Stamos has credited his longtime therapist, Phil Stutz, as well as his wife, Caitlin McHugh, and son, Billy, for helping him stay grounded on that path.

He explained that sobriety taught him the value of consistency, noting that “staying on the path” is what matters most, even when temptation creeps in, as reported by The Blast. Stamos apparently has more interest in keeping his peace these days than obtaining reality TV spotlights.

Sony Once Again Proves You Don’t Own Digital Media

Sony Once Again Proves You Don’t Own Digital Media

By Jennifer Asencio
| Published

On September 1, 2026, Sony will be removing 551 digitally purchased movies and television shows from its platform, which means consumers who paid for the products will no longer have access to them. While this move will only affect European accounts, it continues an ominous precedent that raises questions about ownership in the digital landscape.

Sony claims expiring licensing agreements as the reason the properties are being removed. Accounts in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe will lose access to popular movies like Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Hot Fuzz, and hundreds of others. This is due to an expiring license agreement between Canal Studios and Sony, but this is not the first time that Sony has removed Canal Studios content from its platform. In 2022, Sony removed over 300 titles distributed by that studio.

The Fine Print Always Wins

It’s always in the very fine print in the digital user agreement that digital platforms reserve the right to remove purchased content. This language in the agreement exists in the US digital user agreement, as many experienced with purchased content from Discovery TV or the show Final Space, which suddenly disappeared right after an announcement that some studios would only be releasing digital content. Just like in past instances of Sony pulling purchased content, they are not offering refunds or other compensation for the current removal of 551 titles.

Tying into the digital user agreement and Sony’s ability to remove content if a licensing agreement expires, the company has announced that starting on Jan 1, 2028, they will no longer be producing physical discs. The digital content will be always-online and, in some cases, require PS+ to access multiplayer and other features. Gamers will only be purchasing the right to play the content, not to actually own the game. These actions have resurrected concerns by many on social media that we no longer own what we are buying if a company can pull your access at any time.

True Ownership No Longer Exists

Renting Physical Media in 2008's Be Kind Rewind

As if on cue, Rockstar Games recently announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will not have a physical disc, either. Players will be required to always be online and subject to the same wording in a digital user agreement about access to the game that we, the gamers, have purchased. The base game of GTA VI will be $80, and the upgrade, which gives you access to customization options, will have a $100 price point.

If we don’t own what we buy and they can remove access at any time, then why is the price of games continuing to increase? Why is our access to movies and shows being Balkanized into digital streaming libraries that only give us access when they want to, and can remove access at any time? In an entertainment industry that is increasingly moving from physical to digital media, the companies have more control over what consumers are allowed to own than the consumers do, meaning we don’t actually buy what we buy, but rent it until the company pulls it for whatever excuse. With Final Space, Warner Bros wrote it off for tax purposes, actually making money from depriving consumers of content they purchased.

Sony execs doing what they do best (dramatized)

While the lesson from all this should be “buy physical copies,” with so many companies working around this by only releasing movies, TV shows, and video games digitally, that advice no longer works. Viewers and video game players need to be aware that the platforms that manage their media can remove it at any time, so we can fight for the ownership of the things we buy.

Pilot’s Final Flight Leaves Many Searching For Answers

According to officials, the 42-year-old flight instructor was aboard a Cessna 150 aircraft in Toledo, central Argentina, on Saturday with a 22-year-old student pilot named Rosario when the incident occurred. The student told investigators that Bertazzo instructed her to continue flying, then removed his headset and seatbelt, opened the aircraft door, and exited the plane mid-flight.

Despite the unimaginable circumstances, Rosario safely landed the aircraft while reportedly in a state of complete shock. The plane landed without damage, and officials said the student’s ability to remain focused during the emergency helped prevent further tragedy. Prosecutors are continuing to examine what led up to the incident.

Colleagues React To The Shocking Tragedy

Eduardo Alvarez, the director of the Flying Parrot Córdoba flight school where Bertazzo worked, shared insight into the tragic incident with CNN affiliate TN. “He made this tragic decision on board an aircraft with another person by his side,” he revealed. “It’s impossible to think about it or understand it, but the human mind is so complex.” Bertazzo was “a beautiful person with a great smile,” says Alvarez. “We are surprised that this has happened.”

Furthermore, Álvarez said the tragedy stunned everyone who knew Bertazzo. Danny Glover Announces Alzheimers Diagnosis, Remains Positive About The Future

Danny Glover Announces Alzheimers Diagnosis, Remains Positive About The Future

By TeeJay Small
| Published

Action fans of a certain age will surely perk with excitement upon hearing the name Danny Glover. The Hollywood icon is best known for starring in the Lethal Weapon franchise as the grizzled, too-old-for-this-sh*t Roger Murtaugh. According to a report in The Guardian, Glover has recently revealed a tragic health update with the public, as he has become diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Glover is 79-years-old, and currently facing the illness with a tremendous amount of positivity and grace, especially if your only barometer for his outlook is Murtaugh’s gruff grumbling.

The Time Is Now

During a recent interview, the Predator 2 star explained that he was initially diagnosed with Alzheimer’s several years ago, and has been quietly managing it ever since. The prognosis first arrived in 2022, shortly after Glover received an honorary Oscar for his prolific work in film. Glover claims “I could live with it, in a sense. I’m sure as it advances, things are going to be different and changing.”

When asked why he decided to come forward with this health update four years on, Glover and his daughter Mandisa agreed that the family wanted to open up on their own terms. “The time is now,” Mandisa told The Today Show, adding “What better time but now for him to speak for himself? It’s important because people ask questions sometimes, and I don’t want to be a dishonest person and say, ‘Oh, yeah, everything is all right. It’s all great’.”

Indeed, the Alzheimer’s diagnosis is quite troubling, even with Danny Glover’s upbeat attitude. The disease is progressive and fatal, often requiring 24-hour care in the late stages. Glover has agreed that he’s had trouble processing the severity of the diagnosis at times, but added “There are the moments that you keep remembering that validate the fact that you can remember stuff. And there are moments I’ll never forget.”

Glover’s Positive Outlook

The most inspiring portion of Danny Glover’s interview blitz came when he admitted “I don’t feel like it’s the end of my life.” Rather than languishing in the complications of the illness, the Sorry To Bother You star says “There’s work to do. I still have my daughter, I have friends. I want to just say, your life continues.”

A quick glance at Glover’s IMDb page will reveal that his workload has only continued to grow. Not only does he have half a dozen films in various stages of active production, Glover has also appeared in tons of movies and shows since receiving his initial Alzheimer’s diagnosis. These new projects include a brief appearance in Boots Riley’s I’m A Virgo mini-series, a voice role in the video game Crime Boss: Rockay City, and a starring appearance as Santa Claus in the Disney Christmas heist film The Naughty Nine.

In all likelihood, we’ve probably seen the last of Danny Glover driving his car through a high-rise or narrowly avoiding a toilet bomb explosion like he has in the Lethal Weapon movies. Still, his attitude toward life will surely be a comforting reminder that health diagnoses such as this don’t always need to be doom and gloom. With the right attitude, and a good support system, anything is possible.

New R-Rated Comedy Prioritizes Cameos Over Actual Humor

New R-Rated Comedy Prioritizes Cameos Over Actual Humor

By Chris Sawin
| Published

David Wain film and television projects are an acquired taste. Wain gained recognition as part of the sketch comedy group The State. The State cast members included the likes of Michael Ian Black, Kerri Kenney, Thomas Lennon, Joe Lo Truglio, Michael Showalter, and Ken Marino. Wain would go on to develop the comedy TV series Stella with Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter, which is arguably his best work. He’s also been a film director for the past 25 years, with his work including Wet Hot American Summer, Role Models, Wanderlust, and A Futile and Stupid Gesture.

Wain has utilized cast members from The State and recurring cast from his film projects into everything he has done, and Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass continues that tradition. Wain’s new film follows Gail Daughtry (Zoey Deutch) as she’s engaged to be married to Tom (Michael Cassidy). Gail is a hair stylist that works with her best friend Otto (Miles Gutierrez-Riley) at a hair salon.

After Otto introduces the concept of people having a pass to have sex with their celebrity crush, Gail discusses it with Tom as they are going to a Jennifer Aniston cookbook signing where Gail catches Tom having sex with Aniston. Now Gail tags along with Otto to Los Angeles as he attends a hair convention where she intends to have sex with Jon Hamm to save her marriage.

David Wain Dialed Down

Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass 2026

With a David Wain comedy, you’re expecting stupidity, excessive profanity, and moments of downright raunch. But Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass isn’t enough of anything to be worthwhile or memorable outside of a cameo fest, no character development whatsoever, and an ending that is hopelessly predictable and overwhelmingly dull.

According to IMDb, Wain and Marino (who co-wrote Gail Daughtry together) came to the mutual conclusion that the celebrity sex pass premise was a “really stupid idea” that “doesn’t make sense and has no point.” That is what they based the film around; the initial sense of stupidity and pointlessness. It’s no surprise the film is as lackluster as it is.

Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass 2026

Outside of appearances or full-on supporting character roles for The State alumni Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Thomas Lennon, Kerri Kenney, and Michael Ian Black, Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass also has cameos from Jennifer Aniston, Jon Hamm, John Slattery, Henry Winkler, Richard Kind, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Elizabeth Banks, and Elizabeth Perkins. Penn Jillette and Paul Rudd also appear but have no lines whatsoever.

A Setup You’ve Seen Before

The film recycles the storyline of Dumb and Dumber right down to Gail having her briefcase mixed up with the mob/a criminal syndicate (it’s never clarified) while traveling to a different state to pursue her crush/sexual desire. It’s funny that Gail Daughtry is reminiscent of Dumb and Dumber since the film is also a lot like Hall Pass, another Farrelly Brothers’ film.

Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass 2026

There are a few gags and lines of dialogue that are slightly humorous. Ken Marino’s speech about having to sell his hair for wigs and eventually turning around to sell his wigs for hair is stupidly amusing. Gail tipping $0.79 on a credit card in California is wild behavior, and John Slattery getting kicked in the balls and farting uncontrollably was unexpected. Somebody almost drowns in minestrone soup while exploring Los Angeles for the first time apparently includes shopping for gum at 7-Eleven and getting fellatio by the dumpster behind Foot Locker.

The story never evolves past “get to Los Angeles and try to bang Jon Hamm.” Arriving in California means that celebrities can pop in for no rhyme or reason and then disappear just as quickly before moving on to the next cameo. Gail Daughtry tries to introduce a secondary storyline with government espionage, but it’s dropped for idiotic behavior such as John Slattery having his foot slammed in a door for 45 seconds straight.

Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass 2026

It’s not that Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass is formulaic, it’s a film that is downright absent minded. It’s friends showing up and creating brain damage passing as so-called entertainment. This is like the cinematic equivalent of mixing ammonia and bleach and pouring it into your eyes and ears for an hour and a half. You feel dumber after watching it like it’s valuable points of your IQ you’ll never be able to recover.

Raven Symone at the 'Kim Possible' film premiere

Millennial Disney Channel fans are in for a Cheeetahlicious treat, as the network recently announced the fourth installment in “The Cheetah Girls” franchise. According to several new reports and Raven-Symoné herself, the upcoming film, dubbed “Next Gen,” has been greenlit at Disney and will air on the network and Disney+ in the coming months. And while the news that a beloved classic will be adding another film to the archives almost 20 years after the last movie stirred excitement among some, others have voiced their disapproval about the project, pointing out that the new wave of Cheetah Girls differs vastly from the original lineup.

The party’s just begun, because according to Deadline, Symoné and Adrienne Bailon are headed back to the small screen to star in the next “Cheetah Girls” movie. Their bandmate, Sabrina Bryan, will make a special appearance in the film, while Lynn Whitfield and Lori Alter will reprise their roles as Symoné and Bailon’s fictional mothers.

“The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen” is executive produced by Symoné and Debra Martin Chase and will feature a younger cast of talented performers, including Leah Sava Jeffries, Carmen Sanchez, Kaileen Chang, Sophie Lennon, and Kamogelo Ramashala.

What’s The Next ‘Cheetah Girls’ Film Even About?

Per the press release, the next “Cheetah Girls” flick will follow Symoné and Bailon’s characters, Galleria and Chanel, as they travel to Africa to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary. While there, Symoné’s daughter, Jeffries, and Bailon’s sister, Sanchez, along with their friends, “find their voice and discover the true Cheetah spirit as they save the preserve and ultimately take the stage as the new Cheetah Girls.”

“The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen” follows the first three films, “The Cheetah Girls,” “The Cheetah Girls 2,” and “The Cheetah Girls: One World,” and is originally based on the book series by Deborah Gregory.

“The Cheetah Girls has always been about friendship, music, and empowering young people to use their voice,” said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Kids & Family. “That spirit connected deeply with a generation of fans, and it still resonates today. Bringing this dynamic new group of young stars to the franchise allows us to continue that legacy for a new era of kids and families.”

Symoné teased the fourth installment with an Instagram post, writing, “It’s happening, and it’s CHEETAHLICIOUS!” Over top of the clip, Symoné added the text, “POV: strutting to the set of ‘The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen.’”

In the social post, Symoné is seen walking around different parts of Africa with a big smile on her face. Others appeared to show the 40-year-old on the movie’s set, and one in particular showed the “That’s So Raven” alum posing with a cheetah.

Her clip has secured nearly 200,000 likes and a handful of comments, with one saying, “OMG, we all knew, but now it’s official. So happy… Wishing all the 4 OGs to return, but I’m OK with only Raven and Adrienne, though.”

Some Fans Are Having A Negative Reaction To The New ‘Cheetah Girls’

Some other users, however, aren’t as excited as the one above, as many rushed to different platforms, claiming that the network was attempting to “whitewash” the group, which originally featured three Black women and one white woman.

“If you read the books, them girls [are] BLACK. Don’t p-ss me off,” someone wrote on Instagram. “Nope. Keep black things blackly black,” another posted.

“It’s a book about black girls by a black author,” a third wrote. “It really is that deep.” A fourth chimed in with, “Unpopular Opinion: We don’t need the iconic things from previous generations to be remade for the current generation. They don’t even value it the same (no fault of their own).”

Bailon Previously Told The Blast She’d Be Up For Another Film

In September 2025, Bailon spoke with The Blast about possibly returning for a fourth film and said she was more than open to the idea.

“I would never say never,” she said. “I’m a never-say-never kind of girl.” However, for her to return, it had to be perfect.

“Definitely not saying no, but it would just have to be done right. I think that, and I am the kind of girl [who has] franchises that I’m a huge fan of, and I would hate for them to ruin it,” she added.

Among the 25 nominations for “The Pitt” were two for Wyle. He received a nod for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, his second in the category, and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, for his work on the episode titled “12:00 p.m.” He’s been nominated for 10 Emmys over the course of his decades-long career.

I feel very humbled by this and validated many times over. Today, I feel extremely gratified that the nominations were spread so far and wide across our casting.”

From there, he called “The Pitt” being recognized “a testament to the collective achievement and contribution that everybody makes.”

The “ER” alum added, “It is such a collective effort that it’s really hard to parse it out into individual contributions.” Still, Wyle wishes more of the people who contributed to the hit show had been nominated, including its Director of Photography, Jojo Coelho.

Wyle’s “The Pitt” character, Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, experienced quite the emotional journey in the show’s first two seasons. However, in his Deadline interview, the actor says season three will feature the character healing from some of his past trauma.

Regarding season three, he said, “Well, I don’t want to say too much about Season 3, but I think we’re climbing out of the pit slowly but surely. I think Robbie and anybody who can identify with him will watch his journey and feel that we’re now finally in the kind of ascension. We’re moving up and out of where we’ve been.”

After that, Wyle gave a season-by-season summary, saying, “Season 1 was about the doctor being the patient; Season 2 is about doctors not being very good patients; Season 3 is about doctors benefiting from being patients.”

He then stated that Robinavitch has “begun the therapeutic road” before saying, “it’s had a positive effect. It’s fragile, and it’s not without risk and vulnerability, but it’s at least there’s forward progress.”

Many hit shows, especially in the era of streaming, can’t repeat the success they garnered in their inaugural seasons. However, “The Pitt” is one of the exceptions, with the finale for its second season becoming the most-watched episode in the show’s history.

According to Variety, the series drew 9.7 million viewers over its first weekend. Additionally, as of April 20, the show was averaging 15.4 million viewers across all episodes on HBO Max. This represents a 50% improvement over the show’s first season.

Variety reported in April 2026 that one of the supporting cast members from “The Pitt,” Supriya Ganesh, would not be returning for season three after appearing in the first two installments. Wyle spoke about the change and others the show has faced in comments to the outlet.

He said, “It’s an inevitability that’s going to happen every season with this show because, as writers, we’re hard-pressed to figure out what a lapse of time we can have and keep most of the ensemble together realistically.”

Regarding when season three of “The Pitt” will air, fans can expect it to arrive on HBO Max in January 2027.

The Biggest Sci-Fi Sequel of 2026 Officially Arrives This November

Published

on

Godzilla in Godzilla Minus One

2026 has been a roller-coaster year for fans of sci-fi movies and TV shows, with each medium producing some massive hits and unfortunate misfires for the genre. The year opened with a pair of sci-fi bombs in theaters, Greenland 2: Migration (starring Gerard Butler) and Mercy (starring Rebecca Ferguson), but the first true hit of the year came with Project Hail Mary (starring Ryan Gosling), which is now streaming on Prime Video. As for TV shows, Netflix dropped its next big sci-fi show last month with The Boroughs, which was even hailed as the platform’s follow-up to Stranger Things, but it was tragically canceled by the streamer while still sitting in the top 10 of global watchlists, highlighting the volatility of the genre in the streaming world. There are plenty of sci-fi projects coming this year to be excited about, though.

One of the first big sci-fi movies coming later this year that comes to mind is Dune: Part Three, the third and final film in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune trilogy starring Timothée Chalamet. However, many fans would argue that the title of the most anticipated sci-fi sequel of the year actually belongs to Godzilla Minus Zero, which opens in theaters everywhere on November 6. The film is a direct sequel set four years after the events of Godzilla Minus One, the Oscar-winning sci-fi blockbuster currently streaming on Netflix. After dropping the first teaser for the film earlier this year, Toho followed it up with a breathtaking first trailer this morning, confirming that the film is sticking to its November 6 launch and won’t be subject to delays. Godzilla Minus One grossed over $110 million at the box office against a $15 million budget.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.
