General Hospital: Willow Beyond Redemption – Has She Gone Too Far to Save?

Published

on

General Hospital hints that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is even darker and more evil than we thought. At this point, I cannot see that there’s any chance, any way that she can ever be redeemed. This latest reveal that she’s in cahoots with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has pushed fans over the edge.

I want to talk about a few reasons why I think GH needs to just go ahead and kill off Drew Cain Quartermaine‘s (Cameron Mathison) rotten little wife. Once Willow is exposed, everybody’s going to hate her. And there seems no way to avoid that.

The Shocking Truth Behind Willow and Sidwell’s Secret Alliance on General Hospital

It was quite the shocker when Sidwell turned up to Willow’s and Drew’s house to make it clear to her that Willow will be taking her husband’s seat in Congress. When she made excuses about the kids, Sidwell shut it down and reminded her that her life, her freedom, her future, the kids, all of it are in his hands.

That left viewers scratching their heads for just a couple of minutes. Thankfully, General Hospital didn’t leave us hanging for long because then Sidwell, once he was alone, did his villainous monologue and absolutely horrified Drew with the dirty truth about his little wife.

Sidwell told him that because Drew was unhinged at the trial and had already been causing problems, he and Willow teamed up to take Drew down because he’s a liability to both of them. Sidwell said he supplied Willow with the drug that caused the stroke-like event that’s keeping him locked in.

It was also fun to see Sidwell tell Drew, “By the way, Willow is going to be taking your seat in Congress.” He added that the nurses caring for him are on Sidwell’s payroll, so they’re not going to help him.

Sidwell also said if Drew tries to signal anybody like he did with that SOS message, then Sidwell will just go ahead and kill Drew. The blinky-blinkety may stop for at least a minute, but I don’t think for too long.

Related to this, we reported recently about a leak that there’s supposed to be two on-screen character deaths coming. That’s to differentiate them from the two off-screen deaths that are coming in the months ahead. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) are going to be written out off-screen since both actors have now passed away.

Will Willow Tait Be the Next Major Character Death on GH?

For these on-screen character deaths, the leaker said one in the Spring and another in the Summer. We’ve reported on another leak that the Sidwell and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) storyline is supposed to wrap up by May, which should be the end of Sidwell and Cullum. And possibly also Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).

Based on recent conversations with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), I kind of feel like Sidwell might be the Spring death, but that means it would happen when Jason’s off-screen while Steve Burton’s on hiatus. It could be that Sonny has somebody else take Sidwell out, or Cullum takes Sidwell out. They might even take each other out.

The Summer death, which I assume is going to come in July sweeps, could be a possibility for General Hospital to kill off Willow. By then, surely everybody in Port Charles will know all the terrible things that she’s done.

Why Willow Tait is Irredeemable After Drugging Drew Cain Quartermaine

She’s been awful for a while, but what Willow is doing now with Sidwell is next-level unforgivable. We know from an interview with actress Katelyn MacMullen that when Willow’s exposed, it will be the worst moment of this character’s life.

Let’s get into a few reasons why Willow is so irredeemable that a lot of fans would just like to see her killed off on General Hospital. At the very least, she needs to be run out of town, her kids taken from her. And everybody turn their backs on her.

Reason number one that Willow should be killed off is for conspiring with Sidwell to put Drew into his locked-in state and keep him there as a prisoner. I know Willow feels justified because Drew has done so many terrible things to her. He controlled Willow, manipulated her. And weaponized her kids against Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).

The Failed Plot to Frame Michael Corinthos for Attempted Murder on General Hospital

I did enjoy seeing her drug Drew into that fake stroke the same day she got her not-guilty verdict. Then Willow dropped the bombshell on Drew the day she brought him home from General Hospital that she shot him and put him into that locked-in paralyzed state.

Actor Cameron Mathison said he thinks Drew deserves all of this. And I agree. But Willow is still irredeemable because she’s conspiring with psycho Sidwell. Another reason to kill off Willow is she tried to pin Drew’s attempted murder on Michael.

She put Drew’s house key on Michael’s keyring right after he gave her a very fair 60/40 custody split that she didn’t deserve. It’s never enough for Willow. Those kids deserve better than her. And now she’s trying to take Michael from them, who is their one good parent.

Willow’s Cruel Manipulation of Detective Harrison Chase

Luckily for Michael, Willow’s sneaky little key move backfired. Now it looks like the PCPD is a little gun-shy to really investigate Michael because everything is compromised with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) implicated in the planting of the key, even though he didn’t do it.

Another reason I think Willow is so irredeemable that she needs a dirt nap is because she’s done poor, sweet, dumb Chase so dirty and he doesn’t know it. Willow manipulated Chase into ruining his career for her. And she may yet ruin his marriage to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) as well.

Chase promised Brook Lynn he would drop the Michael vendetta stuff to clear Willow’s name. But somehow I think Chase is going to backslide because he truly believes Willow is a victim who is kind and caring. If she ever was a good person before, she is certainly not anymore.

Betrayal and Infidelity: How Willow Threw Away Her Life with Michael on GH

Next, not that I think being unfaithful should get you the death penalty, but we have to count the fact she cheated on Michael and tore her family apart. She tore her kids’ lives apart basically for the heck of it because she couldn’t keep her hands out of Drew’s pants.

Remember when Willow took Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Viron Weaver) to D.C. for Drew’s inauguration and she didn’t tell Michael? That was really low. Willow had a wonderful marriage with Michael. He would have given her anything and everything, and he did. He was so good to her. And she threw it all away with barely a backwards glance.

The final reason I think Willow needs to die involves her children. Her believing Drew over Wiley was a dealbreaker. When Wiley told Willow that Drew said Michael didn’t want him anymore because he had new baby Daisy, she didn’t believe Wiley.

The Danger of the Dawn of Day Past and Willow’s Final Destination

Why would a little kid lie? She believed Drew instead. She always puts her faith in the wrong person. And now she’s put it in Sidwell. That is not going to go well. Plus, Willow continuously plays the victim card when she’s actually a villain.

This new scheme has put her kids in Sidwell’s crosshairs. He could target Wiley or Amelia Grace Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) to keep Willow in line. Maybe she’s just irretrievably broken from her years in Dawn of Day.

I honestly think prison is too good for her. I think the cemetery should be her final destination. But what do you think? Does Willow need to die?
