General Hospital: Willow & Michael Ignite Forbidden Passion After Bitter Split
General Hospital delivers serious vibes going on between Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) this week. Some red flags have fans buzzing about whether GH is putting Willow and Michael back together. It would certainly be a blind side. We’re going to talk about these red flags. These hint that Willow and Michael could actually find their way back to each other and become a happy couple again.
General Hospital: Jacinda Horrifies Michael
So, Michael, of course, was horrified when Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) said that she drugged Willow. And in Jacinda’s mind, no big deal because it was just party drug Molly and Willow was supposed to be on the phone making political calls all evening. But when you have kids, plans change.
And of course, Jacinda wouldn’t know that because she’s an ex-prostitute party girl who has no problem popping MDMA and doesn’t have kids of her own. So, Jacinda reassured Michael, “Eh, it’s no big deal. But he’s not a druggie, and he knows Willow isn’t either.”
So, Michael ran off to make sure Willow wasn’t driving. Jacinda assumed as a member of Congress that Willow had a driver, but she doesn’t. And Michael panicked because of the horrible, thoughtless thing that Jacinda did.
Michael thankfully burst into Willow’s place before she drove off with Wy and Amelia. Jacinda drugging that iced coffee of Willow’s left her all giggly. And Michael intervened. He sent the kids off to bed. Then he got Willow some water and he tucked her in on the sofa and she conked out.
But before she fell asleep, there were some major vibes going on with Michael and Willow. And this was almost like a little glimpse of how Michael and Willow used to be when they were together and happy and in love before everything fell apart.
Sparks Fly for Michael & Willow on GH
And she told Michael how good she feels now that she’s divorcing Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) and says that she loves her job. Then Willow said she likes that she and Michael aren’t fighting anymore. And he told Willow he doesn’t want to fight with her either.
Then, the way she was rubbing Michael’s shoulders and they were looking at each other, it seems like there’s still feelings underneath all the animosity and the drama because of he and Willow constantly fighting over custody of the kids.
Not just on Willow’s side, but you could feel it on Michael’s, too. Because when Willow was high, her inhibitions went out the window and she was happy and relaxed. And she also seemed to be truly happy to see Michael. And then Willow said she likes how nice that Michael was and said it’s like he used to be.
So, I wonder if he had a passing thought of like well drugged Willow is much nicer. You know in a twisted world Michael could do to Willow like she just did to Drew and just you know keep her lightly drugged to make her tolerable.
But of course Michael would never do that and that’s not the way a reunion should happen. So, not only did there seem to be some sparks between Willow and Michael, but what Wy said was a red flag. When Michael told the kids they’d have to do the arcade another day, Wylie asked if it could be the four of them with mommy Willow, too.
And Michael said yes, they can do that because they are a family and Willow was all smiles. So, I’m wondering if all of this is foreshadowing and it might mean that a Willow and Michael reunion is possible.
General Hospital: Fans Buzzing Over Millow
Fans are going nuts over it on soap social media and it’s definitely possible. However, I will say based on what happens later this week, Willow’s not going to be back with Michael anytime soon. But this feels like a hint of what’s to come down the road. This week, I expect Michael and Jacinda are over because she drugged Willow and put Michael’s kids in danger.
If he had gotten to Willow’s place 5 minutes later, Willow would have been driving high with their kids in the car. So this week, Jacinda is breaking down in tears and she tells Michael that she will go on one condition. So, it sounds like Jacinda may be leaving town.
Maybe Michael even gives her some sort of relationship severance package so that Jacinda can afford to go back to Australia. I’m sure Michael wants Jacinda out of Port Charles. That way his kids won’t see her hanging around the Metro Court with some of her hooker clients.
And of course, Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) would be happy if Jacinda stayed. Ezra would probably ask Jacinda to move in with him, but I suspect she will leave town because that’s what Michael wants because what Jacinda did was unforgivable. And that leaves Michael single. We know Willow’s divorcing Drew. So, they’re both going to be single and they’re starting to get along better.
Escalating Conflict and Custody Battles on GH
But things get much worse this week between Willow and Michael because of this. That doesn’t mean they won’t get better later. Willow tells Michael she’s taking the kids. And this comes after someone finds Willow conked out on the sofa. So, I suspect that person and Willow figure out that she was drugged. And since Jacinda was there and alone with their coffees and the other coffee was fine, they may figure it out. Michael told Willow not to drink more of the coffee. And Michael told Willow that he thought she was high. So, they may test that coffee.
I mean, heck, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) has been helping out. And he does it again this week. So, if they give him the coffee cup, he can fingerprint the lid and drug test what’s inside. And if Willow figures out Jacinda drugged her, she might assume it was some kind of plot that Michael had cooked up. So, this Jacinda stunt could be why Willow is demanding the kids from Michael. But if he explains he didn’t know and that he sent Jacinda away, I don’t think that is going to slow Willow up.
General Hospital: Michael & Willow Need to Compromise
However, Trina and someone approaches Michael this week with info about Drew’s shooting. Thing is, it’s too late for Willow to be criminally prosecuted, but Michael could use it to leverage Willow and threaten her. He could tell her that he’ll go public with it, that it’ll, you know, they’ll take it to the media, it’ll ruin her career.
So, Michael and Willow may have to call a ceasefire. And if Michael agrees to 50/50 custody and they drop the her shooting Drew and Jacinda drugging her, you know, and he won’t date ex-prostitutes and Willow agrees to not have sex with any of his uncles, you know, things could calm down between them on General Hospital.
With Drew and Jacinda out of the middle, Michael and Willow can work on a custody agreement that’s good for everybody. But before there’s a chance for a Michael and Willow proper reunion, there’s another interloper.
I suspect Michael’s going to get tangled up with Serena Baldwin (Kelly Krueger) because she’s trying to seduce Michael to help her mom Lucy with Deception. But eventually, even if Michael does get involved with Serena, he’ll find out that she was just using him, and that should fizzle fast.
Willow Needs to Heal from Her Trauma on GH
And I don’t see other romantic prospects for Willow. She’s busy being a congresswoman and forgetting about Drew. Michael and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) were the first decent relationships that Willow had had. Before that, it was psycho teen raping cult leader Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin).
And I honestly think Drew was able to get his claws so deep into Willow because of the childhood trauma growing up in Dawn of Day with Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) and Shiloh abusing her. So, maybe while Michael’s dealing with Serena, Willow may get some therapy. She needs some.
And then long term, I can definitely see General Hospital pairing Michael and Willow again. You know, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) have split. They’ve hated each other, they’ve reunited. They’ve done that cycle many times. And there’s other couples on the soaps that have gone through the love-hate cycle.
So, I know fans are torn because a lot of fans love Michael and they really hate Willow, but I think mostly they hate that Willow hasn’t paid for any of these bad things she’s done and they really hate her with Drew. But now that’s over. Honestly, I’d like to see a less vindictive, less ruthless version of Willow back with Michael and their kids, and they’re a happy little family. We’ll see if it happens.
