Bois de Balincourt is one of the only woody scents I’ve smelled that’s perfect for the summer months. While many wood-centric perfumes can be deep, enveloping and frankly overwhelming, this one has a soft, creamy breeziness to it. On the first spritz, it feels warm and creamy as sandalwood and cedarwood intertwine. As it wears, you get a light spiciness from nutmeg and cinnamon before it settles in a glowing ambery cocoon. Despite all of the warm notes, it glimmers similarly to morning light and lies very close to skin rather than enveloping you in a roaring, expansive ring of scent.
