Recent years have given us some amazing horror flicks. This year, we have seen Obsession, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, and Sam Raimi’s Send Help to name just a few. Each movie has its own sub-genre, but all of them stunned audiences. Among notable entries last year were Ryan Coogler’s Oscar-winning Sinners, Zach Cregger’s Weapons, Luc Besson’s Dracula, and more. Nonetheless, the most stunning flick commercially and critically was Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein.
Starring Jacob Elordi as the monster and Oscar Isaac as his creator Victor Frankenstein, the movie is del Toro’s gothic vision come alive. After a short theatrical window, it made its way to Netflix with a lot of critical acclaim and fanfare. Frankenstein is a stunning film, with the director’s signature visuals, practical sets, and gothic grandeur.
Based on Mary Shelley’s iconic novel, the fan-favorite director brought his own touch to the final moments between the creator and his creation. It was widely loved by fans and critics, earning 94% and 85% scores on Rotten Tomatoes, respectively. The story has been adapted brilliantly, the Oscar-winning production design is pristine, and there are equally compelling performances to match it all by Isaac, Elordi, and Mia Goth. Owing to its brilliant craft, the movie picked up three Oscars for production design, costume design, and hair and makeup.

Collider Exclusive · Sci-Fi Survival Quiz Which Sci-Fi World Would You Survive? The Matrix · Mad Max · Blade Runner · Dune · Star Wars
Five universes. Five completely different ways the future went wrong — or sideways, or up in flames. Only one of them is the world your instincts were built for. Eight questions will figure out which dystopia, galaxy, or desert wasteland you’d actually make it out of alive.

01
You sense something is deeply wrong with the world around you. What do you do? The first instinct is often the truest one.

02
In a world of scarcity, what resource do you guard most fiercely? What we protect reveals what we believe survival actually requires.
03
What kind of threat keeps you up at night? Fear is useful data — if you’re honest about what you’re actually afraid of.

04
How do you deal with authority you don’t trust? Every dystopia has a power structure. Your approach to it determines everything.

05
Which environment could you actually endure long-term? Survival isn’t just tactical — it’s physical, psychological, and very much about where you are.

06
Who do you want in your corner when things fall apart? The company you keep is the clearest signal of who you actually are.

07
Where do you draw the line — if you draw one at all? Every survivor eventually faces a moment that tests what they’re actually made of.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated You’d Survive In…
Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.
The Resistance, Zion
The Matrix
You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.
You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.
The Wasteland
Mad Max
The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.
You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.
Los Angeles, 2049
Blade Runner
You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.
You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.
Arrakis
Dune
Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.
Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.
A Galaxy Far, Far Away
Star Wars
The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

DC Studios has released the official trailer for Clayface, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that this won’t be just another comic book movie. The new footage doubles down on the film’s gruesome body horror, delivering unsettling transformation sequences and psychological tension that make it feel closer to a modern horror classic than a traditional superhero blockbuster.
The trailer follows Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries), a Gotham City native whose rise from the streets to Hollywood stardom comes to a devastating end after a violent encounter leaves him horribly disfigured. Desperate to reclaim his life and career, Hagen turns to scientist Dr. Caitlyn Corr (Naomi Ackie) for an experimental treatment. Instead of healing him, the procedure begins transforming him into the shape-shifting monster known as Clayface, sending him down a path of revenge as he slowly loses his grip on reality.
One sequence has already become the trailer’s defining moment. During a terrifying scene aboard an airplane, Hagen watches his face begin to melt before frantically using a pair of scissors in a desperate attempt to stop the transformation. Director James Watkins revealed that the sequence was so graphic that even members of the production crew struggled to watch it while filming. Multiple versions of the scissors prop were created to safely capture the disturbing practical effects.
Clayface [credit: DC Studios]
While previous marketing teased the film’s horror influences, today’s trailer fully embraces them. Grotesque facial distortions, melting flesh, and increasingly violent transformations dominate the footage, reinforcing DC Studios’ promise that Clayface is a genuine R-rated horror film rather than a superhero movie with horror elements. The film draws clear inspiration from body horror classics while telling a tragic story about fame, identity, and obsession.
Interestingly, the trailer still refuses to reveal Clayface’s complete monstrous form. Instead, Warner Bros. continues to tease glimpses of Hagen’s final transformation without giving audiences a full look at the iconic Batman villain, preserving one of the movie’s biggest surprises for its theatrical release.
Joining Harries and Ackie is Max Minghella as Gotham City detective John Pearlman, who becomes entangled in Hagen’s horrifying descent. The film is directed by James Watkins from a screenplay by Hossein Amini, based on a story by Mike Flanagan, with producers including James Gunn, Peter Safran, and Matt Reeves.
If today’s trailer is any indication, Clayface may end up being one of the most unique comic book adaptations ever released. Rather than relying on massive action sequences or world-ending stakes, the film appears focused on delivering an unsettling character-driven horror story that pushes the DC Universe into entirely new territory.
It’s been a year since ‘Love Island USA’ Season 6 stars JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez decided to call it quits. Many were shocked when the news hit the timeline, especially after JaNa’s best friend, Charmane, along with fellow Love Island USA co-stars Serena Page and Leah Kateb, seemingly hinted at Kenny sending alleged racist text messages.
Well, Kenny has officially decided to sit down and clear the air as he shares what led to the breakup, his side of the relationship, and addresses the alleged racist text messages and the backlash that followed.
Kenny Rodriguez Addresses Racist Text Claims And The Backlash He Faced Following His Breakup With JaNa Craig
Kenny Rodriguez recently sat down with Zachary Cummings on ‘The Journey ‘Podcast, where he opened up about his breakup with JaNa Craig. During the interview, Kenny addressed the alleged racist text message controversy that surfaced after his breakup with JaNa.
He claimed he generalized a few things while venting to a friend and apologized. Kenny says he understands how the messages could hurt people. He maintained that the messages do not define who he is, explaining they were sent while he was venting after enduring what he described as verbal abuse.
“I’ve dated Black women before. I have Black ancestry. I’m Dominican. Half of my family is dark skin. So how — there was never a problem with race. The problem was with how you were treating me,” he said.
Kenny also alleged that JaNa got physical with him the night she found the messages on his phone. When asked whether any of his ‘Love Island USA’ season 6 castmates reached out following the breakup, Kenny claimed Kordell Beckham did. He added that he has the utmost respect for him.
Kordell Beckham Takes To His Instagram Story To Respond To Kenny Rodriguez
As clips of Kenny Rodriguez continued circulating online Kordell quickly took to his Instagram Story to shut down the claims. Kordell made it clear that he stands with JaNa and that the call didn’t go as Kenny mentioned during the interview. He also denied ever condoning Kenny’s actions, writing, “@kennyrodriguez We not even gon get on how you sat on that podcast and lied the entire time, but what we not gon do is lie like I condoned anything you did/said. After YOU called me I got on that and we haven’t spoke since. Shout out my sis Jana love you for life girl. And keep my mf name out your mouth I don’t fw you bro.”
JaNa Craig Calls Out Kenny Rodriguez As She Denies His Recent Breakup Claims And Assault Allegation
Following Kordell Beckham’s response, JaNa Craig also took to her Instagram Story as she claimed she received a cease-and-desist before Kenny Rodriguez appeared on a podcast and made what she called “straight lies” about her. She challenged Kenny to give her permission to release their text messages, saying they would help tell the full story.
“Very ballsy of you, insane. But if you wanna play, let’s play. I think you should give me permission to drop all the text messages. Why don’t we start there? Give me permission to drop all the text messages, and then we can just go from there. You know everything you told was a lie,” she said in part.
JaNa also said she had stayed quiet for nearly a year following their breakup to focus on herself. She is now waiting for his lawyers to respond. JaNa Craig reposted Kordelll’s Instagram Story responding to Kenny Rodriguez, writing, “Love you Kordell more than anything. My brother for life.”

The following day, she returned to her Instagram Story to address claims that she assaulted Kenny.
“Never in my life have I assaulted anyone, ever. It’s not even in my character. I would never do such a thing. Most importantly, even after I’ve learned from a particular someone their views of the Black community, about the LGBTQ community, about immigrants in our country, even though their dad is an immigrant in America, I still would never, ever get physical,” she said.
Admitting they argued at times like any couple. JaNa also questioned why Kenny was making it seem like they were miserable together. JaNa also reassured fans that she isn’t stressing because she, Jesus, and God know what truly happened throughout their relationship. She thanked supporters for standing by her, adding that she isn’t bothered by the claims and is doing just fine.
2026 is a great time for Spider-Man fans, who are eagerly awaiting the premiere of the first Spider-Man movie in five years, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film will serve as a direct follow-up to Spider-Man: No Way Home (co-starring Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield), and it will follow Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland) after everyone has forgotten who he is, leaving him to rely on being Spider-Man to connect him to the old world. Spider-Man fans were also treated to a new TV series earlier this year, Spider-Noir, starring Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly. The show has not officially been picked up for Season 2 yet, but the widely positive reception and viewership alludes to it receiving the chance to continue beyond Season 1.
While Peter Parker has carved out a name for himself as the Spider-Man of a generation, younger fans have found themselves flocking to Miles Morales, who was first introduced in 2011. Between his roles in the Spider-Verse movies and the Spider-Man games from Insomniac, many Spider-Man fans have found themselves more connected with Miles than Peter, despite the character not yet appearing in live-action. However, during a recent interview, Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed that Miles will eventually make his way into the MCU, saying: “I think live-action Spider-Man movies have this destiny: to add Miles [Morales] at some point after the Spider-Verse series is completed.” Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which is confirmed to be the final entry in the beloved animated franchise, will be released in theaters on June 18, 2027. After Secret Wars at the end of 2027, it’s possible that the next Spider-Man movie could center around Miles, not Peter.

What Are Miles Morales’ Powers?
Miles Morales has similar powers to Peter Parker in that he has enhanced durability, strength, and agility, along with the ability to web-swing, but he also has access to more powers that are unavailable to Peter Parker. Miles has a power known as Active Camouflage, meaning he can go nearly invisible briefly, or at least invisible enough that he completely blends into his surroundings, making him almost impossible to see. He also has access to electrical abilities, including the ability to channel electricity and harness it through punches and other moves. He’s easily one of the strongest street-level heroes in Marvel.

Juan Enriquez lives near the intersection, and he said he noticed a foul smell for weeks before the grisly discovery.
At first, he thought it was a smelly garbage can due to the hot summer. However, he soon learned the source of the odor after the OPD and medical examiner arrived on the scene.
“I never knew where it came from, I just smelled it,” he said to KOSA. “But I thought it was a trash can, you know how it smells during the summertime.”

A Florida mom was arrested after deputies conducted a wellness check at her residence in Palm Coast. Law enforcement found Carla Nishikura allegedly living with her three children in a feces-covered home.
Carla Nishikura Arrested After Neighbor Calls Police
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check at the home in response to a nude child reportedly wandering outside, according to WFTV. A neighbor called the police after seeing the child and taking her home.
Nishikura allegedly told the deputies that the child is autistic and non-verbal. Additionally, she said the girl wanders and that she forgot to zip-tie the garage door shut.
According to PEOPLE, deputies reported seeing feces on the walls, floors, and ceiling upon entering the home. Furthermore, cracked eggs and urine allegedly covered the floors.

The Department of Children and Families found a cleaning company to help, but it reportedly declined due to “the biohazard conditions.” The Florida mom allegedly admitted to police that she couldn’t “manage her home and children on her own.”
Nishikura Cursed At Police During Her Arrest
A police officer told Gulf Coast News that the entire house was “disgusting.”
“Inside the house, there was feces on the floor, ceiling walls, there were, uh, outlets, um, with electrical wires, uh, showing and, it was, it was pretty disgusting,” he said.
Furthermore, footage of Nishikura being arrested captured her swearing at the deputies and threatening to sue.

“If this sh*t ends up on f*cking news, I swear to God I’m suing you guys,” she said.
Sheriff Credits Neighbor For Reporting Florida Mom
FCSO Sheriff Rick Staly commended the neighbor for reporting what they saw, per PEOPLE.
“Thank God for good neighbors who ‘Saw Something And Said Something.’ When a little girl was found naked in the street, the entire neighborhood dropped everything to help her,” he said. “They went door to door and most importantly, picked up the phone and called us. It’s the only reason why these children are safe today.”
Staly added that the home’s condition was “sickening.”
“What deputies found inside that home was sickening,” he added. “No one, not even a dog, should spend one night living in those conditions.”
Television personality Courtney Stodden is using her social media platform to promote ending child marriage. In doing so, the 31-year-old has made several social media posts highlighting inappropriate actions she’s faced throughout her life. This includes sharing a screenshot of a previous skit featuring “Seinfeld” alum Jason Alexander in which he acted inappropriately. Now, the actor has responded.
5ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGA
Following Stodden’s post discussing the skit with Alexander, in which he repeatedly rubbed his cell phone against her breasts, the “Seinfeld” alum issued a statement to TMZ. In it, he took accountability for his actions, which occurred when she was 17. Alexander also apologized to the media personality for the indiscretion.
According to him, “Looking back at the comedy sketch in which Ms. Stodden and I participated in 2012, I completely agree that it was inappropriate and I truly regret it.”
The 66-year-old then said, “But more importantly, I am deeply sorry for any harm or distress it has caused Ms. Stodden. I offer her my sincerest apologies.”
Stodden took to her official Instagram account in July 2026 to recall her encounter with Alexander while filming the 2012 “Funny or Die” sketch in question. She began, “I was 17 years old in this photo. The older I get, the more impossible this is to understand.”
After that, she described what happened during the filming, saying, “During this comedy sketch, Jason Alexander repeatedly rubbed his phone across my breasts while saying there was ‘no signal’ in my head but ‘plenty of signal’ in my chest.”
She continued, “Later in the sketch, he joked that when I turned 18 he’d like to take me behind the couch and have his way with me.” Stodden went on to highlight the fact that Alexander has a writer credit for the skit on IMDb.
She continued reflecting, saying, “As an adult, that fact has become harder—not easier—for me to understand. I was a minor. I didn’t have the legal power to decide whether I wanted to participate. The contracts were signed by adults. The paycheck went to Doug. The production moved forward. I was the only child in the room. I felt so alone.”
Courtney Also Discussed How She Sees The Skit Today
Stodden continued, going into detail about her feelings today about the “Funny or Die” skit with Alexander. Specifically, she stated that, as an adult, she doesn’t see the inappropriate skit as being comedy. Stodden also defended herself against those who say she decided to film the video with the actor.
According to her, “Looking back now, I don’t see comedy. I see a 17-year-old girl whose body became part of an adult joke. She continued, “People still say, “You chose to be there.” Legally, I couldn’t make those decisions for myself. That’s the point. I can’t change what happened to me, but I can ask myself: How did so many adults look at a minor and decide this was acceptable?”
After that, at the end of her post, Stodden stated that the reason she’s speaking out is that “children deserve laws that protect them. They shouldn’t have to become adults before realizing the law should have protected them all along.”
5keith / MEGA
As mentioned, Stodden has been using her social media platform to bring awareness to the bill currently proposed in California to make 18 the legal marrying age in the state. According to The Collegian, the California State Senate Judiciary Committee voted to progress the bill in July, with a 12-0 vote.
Gail Pellerin, California State Assembly member, said of the bill, “The human rights commission considers marriage under the age of 18 to be a human rights abuse. It’s long past time that we end that abuse here in California.”
Currently, minors in California can get married with the consent of one parent or guardian and an order from a judge.
Courtney Stodden Previously Spoke About Legal Underaged Marriages
When Stodden was 16, she married Doug Hutchinson, who was 51. They were married for nine years before their divorce was finalized in 2020. Stodden spoke out about the availability of underage marriages in the United States in 2025 during a PEOPLE interview.
She began, “I don’t want this to happen to anyone else, and it scares me.” As for why she’s highlighting the issue, Stodden explained, “We’re the hotbed for the dirty little secret, which is pedophiles marrying our children legally in the United States, so that’s why I’m speaking out.”

Stodden also reacted to her Lifetime biopic, “I Was a Child Bride: The Courtney Stodden Story.” According to her, “I’m glad I did it, but boy, it’s been hard to watch it. It’s something I’ve lived through, and it’s the PG version, it’s the TV version. A lot of scenes were cut because it was too much for TV.”
She added, “It’s the craziest story I’ve ever heard, and it’s my own.”
