Guy Ritchie is everywhere — Netflix, Prime Video, and even Paramount+. The prolific writer/director has been working with some of the world’s biggest streamers, delivering his signature stories to vast audiences. On Netflix, he has The Gentlemen, a crime thriller starring Theo James. Meanwhile, he just delivered a hit series for Prime Video with Young Sherlock. The streaming service has also enlisted him and Rob Williams to develop Capital, a crime thriller set in London. But Capital won’t be the first time Ritchie has explored London’s criminal underbelly. He has delivered a riveting story of warring crime families in one of his earliest ventures onto the small screen.
The series is also Ritchie’s first engagement with Paramount+. He serves as an executive producer and episodic director in the star-studded thriller that premiered in 2025. The series follows a fixer, Harry Da Souza, played by Tom Hardy. He has his ear on the ground in London’s criminal world, but he remains entangled with the largest crime family, the Harrigans. Additionally, the show features performances from Pierce Brosnan as Conrad Harrigan and Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan. Titled MobLand, it is the largest non-American show on Paramount+, with over 25 million views.
Aside from Taylor Sheridan‘s shows, MobLand remains one of the most popular Paramount+ dramas, occasionally appearing in the top ten. Ahead of a new season this September, MobLand is once again back on the charts. The series recently returned to Paramount+’s top ten after the streamer announced its return date and shared a new trailer. It’s not uncommon for news like a premiere date to inspire people to revisit their watchlist and catch up before a new season, giving the show a viewership boost. Meanwhile, MobLand Season 1 has also been licensed to Netflix for international viewers, pushing it up the charts as a bigger second season looms.

‘MobLand’ Gets Even More Chaotic in Epic Season 2 Trailer
Paramount+ has unveiled a brand-new trailer for the season that is approximately two months out. Everyone is back, and the trailer proves why they wanted to keep Hardy on the show, even after he was nearly fired.
