High School Baseball Player, 15, Dies After Suffering Head Injury
A high school baseball player tragically died after suffering a head injury during practice. He was 15.
Bentley Wolfe was hit by a baseball during his team’s first practice of the season on March 2, suffering a severe brain bleed that left the young athlete fighting for his life, per The Prairie Press.
Two days later, on March 6, Wolfe’s mother, Samatha Simpson, revealed that he passed away.
“Never ever did I ever expect to be saying this,” Simpson posted via Facebook. “Bentley Kahne Wolfe has entered heaven where I know so many had open arms waiting on him.”
She continued, “We are in the donor process now hoping he can save others from ever having to experience something so tragic in their life. Never forget my boy he can never be forgotten he was angel on earth and God needed him back💚 thank you for all the love the donations the food our family friends all the multiple community support is keeping us upright at the moment. If everyone loved and seen the world like Bentley it would be such a better place so make that your goal💚 #LLBW. Forever and ever Bentley Wolfe Mama💚💚”
Later on March 6, Wolfe’s school, Chrisman High School, hosted a prayer vigil honoring the sophomore, attended by hundreds of friends and classmates.

“The outpouring of love from literally multiple towns, my friends, my family, people I haven’t talked to in a while, complete strangers, has been overwhelming to say the least,” Simpson said via Facebook. “But knowing my boy is so loved brings so much joy to this broken heart.”
The Peoria County Coroner’s office confirmed Wolfe’s death in a statement, adding that Wolfe was a “very heroic organ donor.”
“Autopsy on Bentley demonstrates that he suffered detrimental head trauma due to blunt force trauma,” said the statement, in part. “Sincere condolences to his family, the students, and staff at Chrisman High School.”
The statement continued, “Despite aggressive care and treatment, sadly, Bentley was pronounced brain dead on March 6, 2026, at 5:49 p.m.. With much respect and gratitude, Bentley was a very heroic organ donor.”
According to his obituary, Wolfe is survived by his parents and seven siblings, along with grandparents and even great grandparents.
Along with playing baseball, he competed on the basketball team and was active in his school’s Future Farmer’s of America (FFA) program. He enjoyed tractors, trucks and “anything to do with farming.”
“Thank you, everyone, for being there for Bentley,” Simpson said at the vigil. “The love and support are really helping all of us. Please, please, please love like Bentley did. Because if everyone can do that, the world would be such a better place.”

7 Near-Perfect HBO Thriller Shows That Keep You Guessing What’s Next
In the past, weekend nights were often seen as the “death kneel” for television shows. Because most people had plans for the weekend, there really wasn’t much incentive to stay home and cut on the TV. That is, until HBO came onto the scene, and made Sunday nights practically must-see TV, especially for fans of the thriller genre. The network’s first big thriller hit was Oz, and HBO has only perfected the art of the prestige thriller ever since we were treated to a prison social experiment that is still tough to watch.
Thrillers on HBO weren’t made for cheap jump scares, as these shows truly kept you on the edge of your seat, keeping you guessing constantly about what was going to happen next. Whether it’s following along in a mind-bending gothic tale, or solving a whodunit with a detective who’s going through mental anguish, these prestige thrillers are the reasons why HBO can be considered the king of the genre. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the HBO thrillers that will keep you guessing for months on end.
‘Perry Mason’ (2020–2023)
You normally wouldn’t look at a series like Perry Mason and think of it as a thriller. Normally, legal dramas operate on the “case of the week” formula, which produces predictable outcomes that normally tilt in the favor of prosecutors. Perry Mason took a different path. Instead of relying on what was familiar, the show acts as a high-stakes, noir thriller that often times keeps its viewers guessing.
Created by Rolin Jones and Ron Fitzgerald, Perry Mason follows the titular character (portrayed by Matthew Rhys) on his rise to being the famed defense lawyer that we all know and love. So, the HBO version acts as an origin series, and a thrilling one at that. You see, Perry Mason was a down-and-out private investigator, and this is the version that we get with its noir mystery structure, and not letting us in on “who” is committing the crime, perfectly keeps viewers on their toes, and putting on their detective hats in order to help Perry solve the crime. If you haven’t checked out Perry Mason, we highly recommend you do, as you won’t be disappointed.
‘Big Little Lies’ (2017–Present)
Much like the aforementioned Perry Mason, when you look on the surface of Big Little Lies, you would be hard-pressed to think that this is a show that could come within 50 feet of being considered a “thriller.” You don’t get dark alleys here. You get granite countertops. There are no “shadowy figures,” just a group of moms that look as though they make the PTA tremble in fear. But, looks can be deceiving, and if television has taught us anything, it’s that the suburbs provide the perfect setting for a thriller.
Based on the novel written by Liane Moriarty, and adapted for HBO by David E. Kelley, Big Little Lies follows a group of women who become entangled in a homicide investigation at an elementary school fundraiser. The level of suspense that was built is a masterclass of how you combine a “whodunnit” with a “who was it.” We all know there was a murder, but we don’t know who died, and who was the one that did the murder; nor do we know if any of the women we follow are responsible for this person’s death. Originally created as a miniseries, the mystery in Season 1 was so good that HBO greenlit Season 2, which was just as compelling as the first season.
‘The Night Of’ (2016)
When we think of a great thriller, we normally discount ambiguity; but, in a nutshell, that is the central ingredient in baking a tension-filled cake. Ambiguity can be a dangerous weapon, which was perfectly illustrated in the 2016 miniseries The Night Of. Based on Peter Moffat’s 2008 BBC series Criminal Justice, this thrilling miniseries stars John Turturro as John Stone, a lawyer who is hired to represent Nasir Kahn (Riz Ahmed), a Pakistani-American college kid who winds up being accused of murder.
While we know the set-up, we don’t know what happened before, nor during the murder. Kahn has a massive gap in memory, and viewers are left to piece together what exactly happened the night a woman was murdered on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. We are as much in the dark about that night as Kahn is, and the writers did a phenomenal job of using the “blackout” narrative to thrill us and keep us on the edge of our seats. What can we really trust here? Can we trust Kahn? Can we trust the “facts” of the case? We don’t know, and this presents a claustrophobic atmosphere that feels heavy and intense, which is what makes The Night Of such an enthralling thriller.
‘Mare of Easttown’ (2021)
A great mystery thriller keeps its audience guessing until the very end. Then, when they think they have all the answers and have solved the mystery, the show throws a huge curveball that the viewer didn’t see coming. That’s what makes Mare of Easttown such a gripping mystery thriller. Created by Brad Ingelsby, the miniseries stars Kate Winslet in an absolute brilliant performance as Marianne “Mare” Sheehan, a police detective who is tasked with solving the case of a young girl who’s been missing from her suburban Philadelphia town for a year.
While she’s trying to solve the case, Mare is going through a truly harrowing time in her personal life. She’s going through a divorce, she lost her son to suicide, and is embroiled in a custody battle with her son’s girlfriend over custody of her grandson. She’s just having a time in life, which is also what makes Mare of Easttown so tantalizing. It’s a series that perfectly blends the classic “whodunit” trope with character-driven emotion. Her personal life is a mess, and it’s begun to affect her skills as a detective, given the town has begun to doubt her skills. Mare of Easttown lures its viewers in with comfort, but it’s all a ruse that slowly brings the audience into a case with high-stakes that’s also filled with raw emotional intensity. So for anyone who questions whether Mare of Easttown should be considered a crime thriller, watch it, and you won’t question it anymore.
‘The Leftovers’ (2014–2017)
So, here’s a scenario. You’re at work one day, and then, all of a sudden, you notice that a few of your co-workers suddenly disappear. You don’t know where they went, as all you know is they’re gone. You get off work, and turn on the news, only to discover that many more people have just suddenly “departed” the world. So now, you have a lot of questions, as does the rest of the world. This is the central premise of the underrated series The Leftovers, adapted from Tom Perrotta‘s 2011 novel of the same name.
Here, we follow the survivors of the “Sudden Departure,” in which, three years before the events of the series, 2% of the world’s population suddenly vanished. Now, some may think that 2% isn’t a lot, but the population of the world is (currently) over 8 billion, and two percent of that is 160 million people. That is a lot of humans gone in a flash; and while The Leftovers is technically a supernatural drama, the series carries a lot of suspenseful energy, and you’re left wondering what happened to 160 million people who just went “poof” into thin air. The Leftovers act as a mystery box that, try as you might, you can never seem to open, which is why it should definitely be included here.
‘Tokyo Vice’ (2022–2024)
The Yakuza are gangs that no one wants to mess with. These are members of organized crime syndicates based out of Japan who are known for their super strict codes of conduct, and they take this code very, very seriously. Now, imagine an American journalist (Ansel Elgort) going to Tokyo to investigate the Yakuza, and you have the makings of one of HBO’s most underrated crime thrillers.
Tokyo Vice follows Jakes Adelstein (Elgort), a journalist from Missouri who moves to Tokyo and investigates the corruption of the city’s underworld. To guide him through this treacherous world, he teams up with Hiroto Katagiri (Ken Watanabe), a detective with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department who acts as a father-figure to him. Tokyo Vice takes the standard “fish out of water” trope and completely turns it on its head. Adelstein is an outsider and sticks out like a sore thumb in modern Tokyo. This makes the audience worry about Jake as he goes deeper into Tokyo’s dangerous underworld run by the Yakuza, and the series keeps the viewers on their toes as the situation gets more and more dangerous. One slip up could cost him his life, and that gives Tokyo Vice a thriller aspect that is very much underappreciated.
‘Sharp Objects’ (2018)
The unreliable narrator is such an interesting trope in the thriller genre, and nowhere was this put to greater effect than in the 2018 Southern gothic miniseries, Sharp Objects. Based on the 2006 novel written by Gillian Flynn, Sharp Objects is a powerful psychological thriller that basically weaponizes the mental state of its characters. This is where the central character of the series, Camille Preaker (Amy Adams), comes into focus. Preaker, who is an investigative reporter, has an alcohol problem, and in the first episode, we learn that she was recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. Dealing with inner demons, she returns to her hometown in Missouri to investigate the murder of two young girls; but once she returns home, she finds herself under the watchful eye of her mother, Adora Crellin (Patricia Clarkson), which ultimately forces her to confront her demons.
Because Preaker is dealing with alcoholism, the viewers can’t really rely on her narration of the events of the series. Granted, the events she’s describing to us could be real, but her life is so filled with trauma and emotional pain, that we, sadly, have to question the validity of what she’s witnessing, because we’re seeing the events of Sharp Objects unfold through her eyes. This is a series in which you have to pay attention to everything you’re watching, from the multiple manipulators to the town itself, you are on the edge of your seat the entire time you’re watching, and it doesn’t let up for a second.

Zendaya Teases Last Name Reveal Amid Marriage Rumors
Zendaya coyly addressed rumors that she recently tied the knot with longtime love Tom Holland as she stopped by a Las Vegas wedding chapel this weekend.
A24, the producers of Zendaya and Robert Pattinson’s new movie The Drama, opened up a wedding chapel in Vegas for one day on Saturday, March 14, to promote the film. Zendaya’s costar Alana Haim dropped in to perform DJ sets, though the biggest shock came later in the day.
Zendaya surprised one lucky couple during their nuptials by peeking her head through the chapel doors. The Euphoria star could be seen in Instagram Stories wearing a gold band on her left hand as she congratulated the happy couple on their wedding.
Later, Zendaya signed the couple’s marriage license as their official witness. As she signed her name on the document, Zendaya teased that the newlyweds were getting her “last name reveal.”
All of the rumors about Zendaya and Holland’s wedding kicked off at the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1 when the actress’ stylist Law Roach was asked about his client’s impending nuptials.
“The wedding has already happened. You missed it,” he told Access Hollywood on the red carpet.
Asked whether he was breaking news about the wedding, Roach replied, “It’s very true.”
Us Weekly reached out to representatives for Zendaya and Holland at the time.
Zendaya’s mother, Claire Stoermer, reacted cryptically to the marriage rumors by sharing Roach’s interview via her Instagram Stories, along with a laughing emoji and the caption: “The laugh…”
Just over a week later, Zendaya attended Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week show on March 10, where she was spotted with a gold band. The ring appeared to be a white gold Clash de Cartier design and was particularly noticeable since Zendaya’s Jessica McCormack engagement ring was absent.

Zendaya confirmed she was in a relationship with her Spider-Man costar Holland, 29, in 2021. Multiple media outlets reported in January 2025 that Holland had popped the question to Zendaya over the holidays.
Tom’s father, Dominic Holland, confirmed the engagement in a Patreon blog post later that month, revealing that his son asked Zendaya’s dad, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, for permission to propose.
“He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter,” Dominic wrote in January 2025. “I on the other hand was woefully ill-prepared, almost as though I wasn’t taking it seriously. I do fret that their combined stardom will amplify their spotlight and the commensurate demands on them and yet they continually confound me by handling everything with aplomb.”
Dominic went on, “And even though show-business is a messy place for relationships and particularly so for famous couples as they crash and burn in public and are too numerous to mention. With us an example, with [Dominic’s wife, Nikki Holland] helming this family and my ‘wisdom’ on tap and a study in getting things mostly wrong and yet somehow right at the same time, I am completely confident they will make a successful union.”
Tom and Zendaya will soon reunite on the big screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, opening on July 31.

Age of Attraction Cut Virgin Contestant’s Love Search at 38
Age of Attraction didn’t air every potential age gap romance — with one contestant revealing that her search for love as a virgin at 38 was cut.
Ashley Marie took to TikTok after the Wednesday, March 11, premiere on Netflix, saying, “I was on Netflix to do a show — Age of Attraction — I know what you’re thinking right now. Wait, we didn’t see you. Sadly, my story was cut so I’m gonna spill a little tea here.”
The offscreen contestant recalled filming the show after she turned 38 years old.
“When it comes to my dating life, I’ve obviously been single for as long as I can remember,” she shared. “I’m just a big believer that when you know, you know. I don’t want to waste time trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.”
Ashley noted she “did not apply to be on the show,” adding, “[Someone] else was reached out to over social media and they’re like, ‘I’m married but you have to be my friend Ashley.’ And on my 38th birthday, I got a text that said, ‘Don’t hate me but I just gave your name to a casting director.’”
She continued: “If it was any day other than my birthday, I’m honestly not sure I would have even answered. But once you get to a certain age and you really want to be married and have kids — birthdays can be a little bit tough. That biological clock reminder is like time is ticking and you have to find someone soon.”
Ashley prayed about the decision before joining. “I was like, ‘All right, got it. This is where you want me to go then open the door. If it’s not, please close it,’” she said. “I can’t say yet if I’m dating anyone from the show or if I’m still single. I will say I made two very strong connections on my end and for me it was a very healing process because it had been so long since I had felt for a guy. I was starting to actually think did I break something? Can I still have feelings?”
In the video, Ashley noted there is “probably one thing about me that has really affected my dating life,” adding, “I’m gonna start to talk about it more but it’s something that I haven’t really talked about in a really long time outside of my close circle. That is that I’m a virgin, [and] waiting for marriage. I know. Take it in. I am going to continue to share my story — both in my personal and dating life — because I feel like it’s such a lonely time to be 39 and single and no kids. Hopefully it will help people feel like you’re not alone in this phase.”
“Nervous about sharing what I did at the end. Spilling some tea about my time on Age of Attraction, the new dating show on Netflix,” Ashley captioned the post. “Going on a dáting show isn’t exactly something I thought was in my future but life tends to take us down unexpected paths. I was very prayerful about the decision and trusted that God would take me where he wanted me to go.”
The new dating show is hosted by real-life couple Nick Viall and Natalie Joy, who have their own 18-year age gap. According to the official synopsis, “Age is thrown out the window when singles search for their soulmates, but will the years come between them?”
Divided into three parts, the first batch of episodes showed the initial connections that were formed before individual couples made promises to each other. After a visit to the Promise Room, each couple were finally able to discuss their age gap — and decide if they wanted to keep exploring their chemistry.
Age of Attraction zeroed in on six couples who moved into the same apartment building after making a commitment. They then had to weather new challenges as their new normal set in, which led to one shocking split.
Later in the season, family members will visit each couple to give their opinions on each match. They will then make a decision about whether they want to pursue a future together or if their age differences create too much of an issue.
New episodes of Age of Attraction hit Netflix on Wednesdays.

James Cameron Wanted to Make an X-Men Movie in the ‘80s with the Wildest Cast
Being such a hot commodity in the industry for over 40 years, James Cameron is frequently a studio’s dream choice to helm a major project, whether as a producer, screenwriter, director, or all three together. Cameron, whose interests range from historical fiction to comic books, has been attached to a litany of movies throughout the years, some of which never materialized and others that ended up in the hands of other directors. In an alternate world, the selective and patient Cameron, who has only directed four narrative films in the last 30 years, would have put his stamp on properties such as Planet of the Apes and Wicked. Among his list of unrealized films, his most enticing abandoned project was the attempt to assemble a superteam to bring Marvel Comics’ crown jewel, X-Men, onto the big screen in the 1980s and ’90s, which never came to fruition due to the precarious nature of Hollywood dealmaking.
James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow’s Plans for an ‘X-Men’ Movie Were Abandoned
Following his breakthrough with The Terminator and Aliens, James Cameron represented dollar signs, and studios entrusted him with the opportunity to handle something that, ironically enough, seemed to be adverse to the screen: a comic book adaptation. Revealed by long-time X-Men writer Chris Claremont in a 2012 panel at Columbia University, the original mutant movie, years before Bryan Singer‘s adaptation in 2000, was initially attached to Cameron as a producer, his then-wife Kathryn Bigelow as director, Bob Hoskins as Wolverine, and Angela Bassett as Storm, roles that would be played by Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry, respectively. This was Claremont’s dream lineup, remarking, “I would have been happy as a clam.”
Upon establishing his own production company, Lightstorm Entertainment, Cameron was ready to serve as his own boss and generate numerous projects for him and his collaborators to direct. Things looked to be set into motion when Cameron set up a meeting with Marvel Comics guru and mascot Stan Lee about a film adaptation. During the meeting, the tides irreversibly shifted when Lee interrupted the negotiation by saying to the director, “I hear you like Spider-Man.” This kicked off a new round of spirited discussion, and it presumably got Cameron’s wheels turning about his unrealized Spider-Man treatment.
Kathryn Bigelow, fresh off her eventual cult classic vampire thriller, Near Dark, a film that mirrors X-Men in its portrayal of non-humans marginalized by society, had a treatment for the Marvel property. According to Claremont, the treatment was “eaten alive” by executives he called “idiots,” who were more interested in adapting Spider-Man. These deals were nearly impossible to finalize, as Marvel, which was facing bankruptcy in the ’90s, was selling off rights to their characters to many studios, including Universal, the now-defunct Carolco (with which Cameron had a partnership), and 20th Century Studios, which ultimately acquired the X-Men rights. Claremont held no ill will towards Singer’s film or the casting of Jackman and Berry, but he still fancies what Cameron’s vision would have looked like.
The Failed James Cameron ‘X-Men’ and the History of Superhero Movies in Development Hell
Long before the dawn of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Disney’s acquisition of Fox, a studio’s legal department was just as essential to getting superhero movies off the ground as the writers’ room. Today, the behind-the-scenes drama and managerial decisions are widely understood by the public, so much so that they can be running gags in the uber-meta Deadpool & Wolverine. Property protection determines the fate of every comic book adaptation, and even the mighty James Cameron was left creatively compromised by Carolco’s failure to acquire rights to X-Men or Spider-Man, which ultimately led to the studio’s discontinuation. Since then, movies in an extended universe getting postponed or stuck in development hell, evidenced recently by Marvel’s never-ending production of Blade, have been a staple for the genre. With so much financial backing at stake, studios are quick to get cold feet with a current project when a more enticing character origin story opens up.
Bryan Singer’s X-Men was an overall success, performing well at the box office and satisfying critics. Because superhero movies were viewed as disreputable to many, the didactic commentary on race and class issues in the film lent it an aura of prestige. While it’s hard to argue against the 2000 film’s casting, the prospect of Bob Hoskins, who fit the bill for Wolverine’s short stature and pugnacious energy in the comics, and Angela Bassett, an actor of immense gravitas fitting for Storm, in an X-Men film by James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow is the alternate universe audiences deserve in the next multiverse saga. Back when superhero movies were envisioned as sheer genre exercises, sci-fi, horror, and thriller masters in Cameron and Bigelow could’ve made a mean, lean, and technically virtuosic showcase.
X-Men is available to stream on Disney+ in the U.S.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Stars’ Tragic Health Scares and Losses
RuPaul’s Drag Race’s universe of vibrant and talented drag queens has endured numerous heartbreaking losses and health scares over the years.
When Drag Race loses one of its own — or if there’s a performer in crisis — the global community of queens has shown tremendous compassion in honoring their colleagues.
Queens can always count on encouragement and support from the franchise’s passionate fanbase in the hardest of times— most recently exemplified by the outpouring of love for Drag Race season 4 queen and Drag Race Philippines judge Jiggly Caliente when part of her right leg was surgically amputated due to a severe infection. Caliente (real name Bianca Castro) died of complications in April 2025 at age 44.
Keep scrolling for a look at how the Drag Race cast and fans came together when tragedy struck members of their community:
Jiggly Caliente

Caliente’s team shared the shocking news in April 2025 that she’d endured “the loss of most of her right leg” due to a “severe infection.”
Her representatives confirmed in a statement that Caliente would have to step back from her judging role on Drag Race Philippines and refrain from any “public engagements” during her “extensive” recovery.
“At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Bianca and her family, as they navigate this difficult journey together,” the statement read. “While Jiggly concentrates on healing, we invite friends, fans and community to uplift her with messages of hope and love on her social media channels.”
The statement concluded, “Bianca’s family and drag house are deeply grateful for the continued outpouring of support, strength and prayers.”
Later that month, Caliente’s family announced the news of her death in an emotional statement via Instagram.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente,” the statement read. “Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.”
“Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever,” the statement continued. “She will be deeply missed, always loved, and eternally remembered.”
The Vivienne

The Drag Race UK season 1 winner (real name: James Lee Williams) died at age 32 from cardiac arrest caused by use of the powerful anesthetic drug ketamine in January 2025.
The Vivienne spoke openly about her addiction struggles during her time on Drag Race UK and lent support to the Armistead Centre in Liverpool’s rehabilitation program during her lifetime.
Following her tragic death, The Vivienne’s family promised to work with substance abuse charity, Adferiad, on a campaign to encourage more open dialogue about addiction.
“Ketamine is an extremely dangerous drug that is becoming more and more prevalent in the U.K.,” the Williams family said. “If we can help raise awareness of the dangers of this drug and help people who may be dealing with ketamine addiction then something positive will come from this complete tragedy.”
RuPaul was among those to publicly memorialize The Vivienne, writing via Instagram, “With a broken heart, I join the entire Drag Race universe in mourning the loss of The Vivienne — an incredibly talented queen and a lovely human being.”
Drag Race judge Michelle Visage referred to The Vivienne’s death as “heartbreaking” in her own statement.
“I don’t know how to say how I feel,” she wrote via Instagram. “My darling @thevivienne_ we go back to when I started coming over here to the UK. You were always there, always laughing, always giving, always on point. Your laughter, your wit, your talent, your drag. I loved all of it but I loved your friendship most of all. You were a beacon to so many.”
Drag Race production company World of Wonder will release a documentary about The Vivienne — titled Dear Viv — in 2025. The film features remembrances from The Vivienne’s closest collaborators as well as fans impacted by her legendary career.
Morphine Love Dion and Kaos

Drag Race season 16’s Dion (real name Michelle Orozco) and Canada’s Drag Race season 3 star Kaos (real name Jesilo Bernard) suffered injuries in a car crash that left one person dead in Los Angeles on the 10 freeway in July 2024.
Dion and Kaos were traveling in an Uber when their vehicle was involved in a multi-car pileup that sent six people to the hospital, in addition to the tragic loss of a passenger.
“Morphine was in a serious car accident while in an Uber,” Dion’s social media wrote via Instagram at the time. “She suffered multiple injuries but is grateful to be alive. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Some space and time is appreciated as she focuses on healing.”
Kaos also offered an update after the dangerous collision, writing via Instagram, “Just so everyone knows I am OK just been on bed rest.”
The queens were in Los Angeles to attend the annual DragCon fan event. Luckily, both have recovered from their injuries and are now performing again.
Chi Chi DeVayne

Season 8 and All Stars 3’s DeVayne (real name: Zavion Michael Davenport) was unquestionably one of the most beloved queens in Drag Race history. Known as the “Dancing Diva of Texas” by colleagues and fans alike, DeVayne consistently stunned viewers with her incredible choreography and acrobatic lip sync routines.
DeVayne shared in 2018 that she’d been diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Scleroderma, which can impact the ability of skin, muscles and blood vessels to function properly. The physical toll of DeVayne’s diagnosis meant that she gradually lost the ability to dance at the high standard she’d set for herself.
The Drag Race universe united to mourn DeVayne when she died at age 34 in 2020 after contracting pneumonia while she was being treated for kidney failure.
“I am heartbroken to learn of the passing of Chi Chi DeVayne,” RuPaul told Us Weekly in a statement at the time. “I am so grateful that we got to experience her kind and beautiful soul. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May her generous and loving spirit shine down on us all. On behalf of VH1, World of Wonder and the cast and crew of RuPaul’s Drag Race, I extend my deepest sympathy — from our family to hers.”
Drag Race season 10 winner Aquaria praised DeVayne as “a symbol of kindness” while Trixie Mattel called her an “iconic queen literally everyone in our industry will always love.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race dedicated its season 13 finale to DeVayne in April 2021.
Bandit

The Drag Race Thailand contestant (real name: Bandit Janthawan) placed fifth in season two, but her legacy was extended when she designed some of host Pangina Heals’ costumes.
In addition to her time on reality TV, Bandit released a signature fashion capsule in 2011 and lectured on design at multiple universities.
Heals (real name: Pan Pan Narkprasert) confirmed to Entertainment Weekly in December 2023 that Bandit had died at age 38, though further details about her death were not made public.
“We’re all completely lost because Bandit has been a light.,” Heals said. “He has taught me. I would not be the same person I am today without Bandit teaching me about fashion.”
Heals went on, “He’s been such a visionary, such a giver. He’s always telling other people, ‘You can do this’ or, ‘Do that to be better,’ in terms of making sure other people have their fashion game on. He was such a funny person, such charisma, such magnetism, and without him, all of us don’t know what to do.”
Cynthia Lee Fontaine

One of Drag Race’s most inspiring stories was Fontaine’s (real name: Carlos Díaz Hernández) comeback in season 9 after being diagnosed with cancer.
Fontaine originally competed in Drag Race season 8, and was voted Miss Congeniality by her peers. She discovered she had stage 1 liver cancer two weeks after completing filming and underwent four rounds of chemotherapy before going into remission.
Drag Race invited Fontaine — nicknamed “Cucu” — back to compete in season 9, where she placed 10th. She told Hey Qween in 2017 that she relished the chance to share her cancer recovery with Drag Race viewers.
“How happy I am to be in recovery and healthier than ever,” she told host Jonny McGovern. “[I’m] still entertaining and sharing my ‘Cucu’ everywhere.”
Fontaine has another shot at glory in 2025 as part of the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: Tournament of All Stars.
Sahara Davenport

Davenport (real name: Antoine Ashley) made an unforgettable impression in Drag Race season 2 with her elegance as well as her extensive classic dance training. She was a member of the famed Davenport drag house, with family members Kennedy Davenport and Honey Davenport following in her footsteps to compete on later seasons of Drag Race.
The musician and dancer tragically died at age 27 from congestive heart failure in October 2012, just two years after her season of Drag Race aired. Sahara was survived by partner and fellow Drag Race star Manila Luzon, who was quoted as saying at the time that she was “cherishing [Sahara’s] memories and carrying out his legacy.”
“I was lucky enough to have time with him,” Luzon (real name: Karl Philip Michael Westerberg) said in 2012.
“Shocked and heartbroken over @SaharaDavenport,” RuPaul tweeted at the time. “Never occurred to me that we’d ever lose one of our girls. I see them as immortal.”
Cherry Valentine

Valentine (real name: George Ward) finished in 12th place on Drag Race UK season 2, but her true legacy went beyond the competition. She made history as the first-ever queen of Romani heritage to appear on any Drag Race franchise.
She later hosted the 2022 BBC documentary Cherry Valentine: Gypsy Queen and Proud, where she explored her heritage as part of the English Traveller community. Away from the stage, Valentine was a trained mental health nurse and spoke publicly about the importance of self-care.
Her family made the sad announcement in September 2022 that Valentine had died at age 28. A coroner later determined she’d died by suicide, according to BBC News.
“It is with the most heart wrenching and deepest sadness to inform you that our George – Cherry Valentine – has tragically passed away,” Valentine’s family said in a statement. “This will come as a profound shock to most people [and] we understand there is no easy way for this to be announced.”
A statement from Drag Race UK read, “We are heartbroken that Cherry has passed away. She was a kind soul who brought joy and a distinctive laugh to everyone she met. She brought flair, verve and charm to #DragRaceUK, we will miss her so deeply.”
“At a loss for words. One of those souls so pure, so raw, so real,” Valentine’s season two costar Bimini wrote via X. “I’m incredibly lucky to have known George and witnessed their infectious spirit. Their patience and kindness was their superpower. They saw you for you and not many people have that empathetic trait. My heart.”
Tia Kofi, another Drag Race UK season 2 cast member, honored her friend by wearing an outfit inspired by Valentine’s original “Meet the Queens” promo look on RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World in 2024.
“I just thought it was really important that when I got the call to be here, I wanted to do something for [Cherry],” Kofi (real name: Lawrence John Bolton) explained in the Werk Room.

Drag Race season 1’s first-ever eliminated queen was hospitalized and diagnosed with four serious health conditions in March 2026 after eating a frozen hamburger.
“Quite recently, I, Victor — affectionately known as PorkChop — have faced some very serious health setbacks,” PorkChop wrote via a GoFundMe page. “After preparing a frozen hamburger patty from a major retailer, I became extremely ill. Within 24 hours, I was taken by ambulance to AV Medical Center, where I spent the next week bed-bound. During my stay, I received intensive care, including antibiotics, dozens of tests, and the start of physical therapy.”
PorkChop confirmed that doctors diagnosed her with an irregular heartbeat, an acute kidney injury, hyponatremia due to an intestinal infection and hypertension. She shared that she is expected to make “a full recovery,” though the Drag Race star acknowledged “the journey ahead will be challenging.”
As of publication, a GoFundMe for PorkChop has raised $4,300 of a $6,000 goal.
“I am slowly relearning how to walk, and ongoing physical therapy is essential to help me rebuild my strength,” PorkChop wrote. “My most urgent need is a medical mobility scooter, which would greatly improve my quality of life and allow me to regain some independence. Being able to get outside, especially to the large park in my neighborhood, would be a huge boost for my mental and physical health as I heal.”
The season 1 alum concluded, “Sometimes, a small act of kindness can make a world of difference. I have spent many years bringing joy to others, and now I find myself in need of support. I hope you will keep me in your thoughts and consider making a donation to help me on my road to recovery. Your generosity will mean more than words can express.”

Harry Styles Mocks Queerbaiting Allegations With SNL Kiss
Harry Styles addressed those “queerbaiting” allegations head on — literally — during an appearance on Saturday Night Live.
“People seem to pay a lot of attention to the clothes I was wearing, and some people accused me of something called ‘queerbaiting,’” Styles, 32, mentioned while hosting SNL on Saturday, March 14. “Did it ever occur to you that maybe you don’t know everything about me, dad? I ran it past him, he was fine with it.”
Per the Oxford English Dictionary, queerbaiting is defined as the “practice of trying to appeal to and capitalize on LGBTQ audiences or customers in a deceptive or superficial manner.”
Styles suggested that any confusion comes from his love of kissing. SNL cast members Chloe Fineman and Sarah Sherman crept up behind the former One Direction during his ode to kissing, though each backed off as Styles rattled off a list of turnoffs.
When Styles mentioned he was particularly attracted to “a tight little bum,” SNL star Ben Marshall jumped on stage to ask for his kiss.
“Come on, Ben! Everyone knows there’s nothing little about that thaaaang. You’re holding a damn wagon back there,” Styles joked.
Still, Styles pulled Marshall, 30, in for a passionate smooch before quipping, “Now, that’s queerbaiting!”

Elsewhere in the monologue, Styles poked fun at fruit featuring so prominently in his music. (Aside from his hit “Watermelon Sugar,” Styles has also named songs after “Cherry,” “Grapejuice” and “Kiwi.”)
“I finished my last tour in 2023, and after that I took a bunch of time off,” Styles recalled. “I realized I spent half of my life in music, touring, creating albums and making songs about fruit that people think are about sex! I just really like fruit, guys. I like sex too.”
He then teased, “You know, when you’re on holiday, it’s like five in the afternoon, you’re all covered in sand. You and your partner are all sweaty and hot, and you stumble back to the room and you just wanna [some] papaya?”
Styles got an early start on his return to Saturday Night Live when he made a cameo in host Ryan Gosling’s monologue last week. The former 1D star explained to Gosling, 45, that he wanted a refresher on hosting SNL since he’d last done it in 2019.
His appearance frazzled Gosling, who resorted to bringing back his “I’m Just Ken” song from the Barbie movie to take the focus off Styles watching him from the front row.
Styles hosted and performed on SNL this week to promote his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, which was released on March 6.
Us Weekly exclusively learned on Thursday, March 12, why Styles plans to ditch a proper world tour for his new album in favor of performing multi-night Together, Together residencies in seven cities.

“Harry approached this project and tour very mindfully,” a source told Us. “By doing multi-night residencies, there is less travel and less burnout.”
The insider indicated that Styles “will likely add more dates” to his Together, Together trek in 2027 but is “approaching this [leg of the tour] in a way that feels healthy for him.”
“For Harry, the past couple of years have been about slowing down, stepping back and finding peace,” the insider tells Us. “He really treasured that time and the sense of privacy and normalcy. He is coming into this tour knowing what works for him. He is incredibly emotionally mature and is constantly working on himself.”
For now, fans can catch Styles’ Together, Together Tour on select dates in Amsterdam from May 16 to June 5, in London from June 12 to July 4, in São Paulo from July 17 to July 24, in Mexico City from July 31 to August 10, in New York City from August 26 to October 31, in Melbourne from November 27 to December 2 and in Sydney on December 12 and December 13. A variety of support acts will appear depending on the city and date, including Robyn, Shania Twain, Jorja Smith and Jamie xx, among others.
In February, Styles told The Sunday Times that he had to completely rethink his approach to touring after his Love On Tour concerts brought 173 shows to more than 20 countries between 2021 and 2023.
“At the end of the tour, the idea of taking time out felt insane. I didn’t know if I could do it, but it was the right time for me,” Styles recalled. “We’d finished the tour in July and I was turning 30 in February. It was time for me to stop for a bit and pay some attention to other parts of my life.”
He noted that his extended break allowed him to be more present for his family, especially when his sister, Gemma, welcomed a daughter in 2024.
“At any other time in my life, I would have missed a lot of that,” he explained. “To be there to get to know my niece as she’s growing up, it’s so obvious to me what’s real. It was really obvious that was where I wanted to be.”
He went on, “I’d always thought, or hoped, that I was the kind of person who didn’t need the dopamine hits that doing this job often gives you. But I hadn’t actually removed myself from it and it’s hard to eliminate the doubt that maybe if it all went away, I’d really miss it. That’s always been a fear for me. So, living my life in a way where I could really like who I am away from this world has been so powerful for me.”
Saturday Night Live’s next new episode airs on NBC April 4 at 11.30 p.m. ET with Jack Black as host and Jack White as musical guest.

This 3-Part Horror Sleeper Hit Is the Ultimate Weekend Binge Before It Returns Next Month
Now is the perfect time to dive into the excellent, highly underrated, and nightmarish horror series From before it returns for Season 4. The MGM+ original series, led by creator and showrunner John Griffin, follows a desperate group of survivors who are stranded in a mysterious, remote town in the middle of nowhere, from which they can’t escape, and when night falls, strange and deadly creatures roam the area. They can take human form, but they can rip their victims to shreds. No wonder horror novelist Stephen King has previously praised the series that makes for the perfect weekend binge experience.
From Season 4 Trailer
What Is ‘From’ About?
Although King has nothing to do with From, the series feels very much inspired by his horror-fueled style. Comparisons are very appropriate, considering the mostly blue-collar townsfolk forced to deal with the nameless place they cannot escape from, where they’re terrorized and stalked by predatory creatures. The creatures are vicious and feral, but the fact that they can appear human, with creepy grins and period clothing, makes them all the more unsettling. King previously gave the series his stamp of approval, praising it as being “believable and scary as hell” and saying that From left him “absolutely riveted.”
From mixes its horror premise with the intrigue and mystery familiar to fans of the hit television show Lost — a parallel that feels even more apropos given that the series is led by former Lost actor Harold Perrineau. From also boasts a large, diverse ensemble cast, exploring the group dynamics in the town’s community and their struggles to find answers to the untold mysteries of the town. Additionally, just as the mystery of the island served as a major focus in Lost, uncovering the strange town’s secrets is a significant part of From‘s story, and always keeps viewers coming back for more.
‘From’ Never Loses Sight of Its Grounded Human Drama
A good horror story is meaningless without strong characters, and From has built a tremendous ensemble over its last three seasons. It’s deeply harrowing to see the survivors struggling to stay alive in such a horrible situation. One character, Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey), is desperate to protect his family, who are already mourning the loss of a child before the events of the series. Meanwhile, the town’s self-appointed sheriff and mayor Boyd Stevens (Perrineau), does his best to lead the town and keep everyone alive, constantly fighting a losing battle each season while desperately trying to find answers about their entrapment. Perrineau delivers a knockout performance as a man who does his best while simultaneously struggling with his own tenuous grip on sanity in the face of such overwhelming darkness.
Through its excellent cast of grounded characters, From never loses sight of the townspeople’s fight to survive and maintain their hold on sanity. Some of the survivors band together, strengthening their love and bonds to reinforce their sense of community, but others fall prey to the physical and psychological terrors of the nameless town, making their struggle extremely compelling to watch. In Season 3, Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori), the girlfriend and later wife of Boyd’s son Ellis (Corteon Moore), discovers that she’s miraculously pregnant despite it being medically impossible before she arrived in the town. Eventually, Fatima’s premonitions of something being very wrong with her pregnancy grow stronger and more deeply disturbing as the subplot progresses.

‘From’ Reaches a Major Turning Point in Season 3

Although the story’s feral creatures only emerge at night, the townsfolk are terrorized by psychological entities and horrors during the daytime, such as the malevolent music box monster who haunts multiple townsfolk during Season 2. Later in Season 3, one of the newer cast members who arrived on the bus, Elgin Williams (Nathan D. Simmons), is stalked by a ghostly specter in a kimono. The monstrous creatures who hunt the townsfolk are merely the beginning, as whoever is controlling what happens in the town wants to keep the survivors in a permanent state of terror and despair. These more haunting moments definitely appear right out of the Stephen King-approved playbook.
Just when it appeared like From was on the verge of becoming overwrought with its increasing cast and lack of bigger answers, however, the story finally reaches a major turning point. Without giving too much away, the series finally provides some much-needed answers regarding the town’s backstory and the likely origin of its deadly creatures. The great thing is that From doesn’t spoon-feed all these answers, and the revelations offer just enough information to build the anticipation for the fourth season. Rather than giving away every secret, the narrative drops just enough reveals to drive the viewer to continue watching, providing the proper escalation in tension and intrigue ahead of From‘s Season 4 return next month on MGM+.

Doja Cat Reveals Personal Struggle She Says Has Been ‘Agonizing’
Doja Cat is opening up about a deeply personal part of her life. The Grammy-winning rapper recently shared that she has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, offering fans a raw and honest look at the mental health challenges she’s been navigating behind the scenes. In a candid TikTok, Doja Cat reflected on how the condition has affected her for years, explaining that she is continuing to work through it with therapy and self-reflection.
Doja Cat Shares Borderline Personality Disorder Diagnosis

Doja Cat revealed to fans that she has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, commonly referred to as BPD. Speaking directly to viewers in a TikTok video posted Friday, the singer said she believes the condition has been present in her life for a long time, even if she only recently recognized it.
“I’ve learned from a very young age to pretend that I like stuff, to pretend that I’m happy, to pretend that I don’t like stuff that I do, to appear like everything is okay,” said Doja Cat. “I’ll get it done. And it caught up with me, and I think it always does for people. I’m now struggling with BPD.”
The artist suggested that years of masking her true feelings may have contributed to the emotional toll she is now confronting.
Singer Says Living With The Condition Has Been ‘Agonizing’

During the emotional conversation, Doja Cat admitted that the struggles connected to the diagnosis have been ongoing for much of her life. She explained that the challenges she associates with BPD didn’t appear overnight but instead have likely been present for years.
The “Paint The Town Red” artist said she’s been “struggling” with BPD for “probably forever” and that it’s been “agonizing.” Despite the difficulties, the performer’s openness about the topic resonated with many fans who praised her willingness to speak publicly about mental health.
Therapy Has Been A Key Part Of Doja Cat’s Healing

While discussing the condition, Doja Cat emphasized that therapy has played an important role in helping her navigate the experience. She shared that she has been working with professionals for years and feels proud of the progress she has made along the way.
“I’ve been in therapy for years now, and I am so relieved and so proud of myself. I’ve made it so far, and I still make mistakes,” she said, noting that it’s been a journey of “treatment and healing.”
What Borderline Personality Disorder Is

Borderline personality disorder is a mental health condition that can significantly impact how individuals perceive themselves and their relationships with others.
According to the Mayo Clinic, BPD “is a mental health condition that affects the way people feel about themselves and others.” It can make it difficult to manage everyday life and is often associated with intense emotions, impulsive behavior, and unstable relationships.
People living with the condition may also struggle with their sense of identity and self-image.
Doja Cat Praises Chappell Roan For Her Honesty

Elsewhere in the TikTok video, Doja Cat spoke about fellow artist Chappell Roan and how her openness has inspired her. The rapper applauded the “Pink Pony Club” singer for being unapologetically authentic while in the public eye, something Doja Cat says she is continuing to work on herself.
“I had to learn how to be honest,” Doja Cat said. “I had to learn how to be honest with myself. I lied to myself for years, for most of my life, and to see her sit there, and I love it. I love that she can do that without hurting people. She hasn’t hurt one person by being herself, and that shows that I can do the same.”
The singer has previously spoken about prioritizing her mental health. During an October 2025 appearance on the “Angie Martinez IRL” podcast, Doja Cat shared that therapy helps her stay grounded and ensures she’s addressing the things she needs to work through.

Chappell Roan’s Paris Paparazzi Clash Draws Reaction From Boy George
Chappell Roan’s tense run-in with photographers in Paris has sparked a wider conversation about celebrity boundaries, and fellow musicians are weighing in. After a video of the Grammy-winning singer confronting paparazzi and fans began circulating online, Culture Club icon Boy George shared his perspective on how stars navigate public attention. His message encouraged Roan to embrace the realities of fame while also acknowledging the pressures that come with living in the spotlight. Meanwhile, another major artist stepped in to defend Chappell Roan, arguing that many of the people following her aren’t actually fans at all.
Chappell Roan Calls Out Photographers In Paris

The conversation began after Roan filmed herself confronting photographers and fans while trying to go about her evening in Paris. The singer, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, appeared frustrated as people continued approaching her outside a restaurant. “I’m just trying to go to dinner, and I’ve asked these people several times to get away from me,” the Grammy winner said in the video.
At one point, Roan pointed out a specific person she claimed had repeatedly ignored her requests. “This person I’ve asked several times to go away, and they will not,” the singer said. “They’re hiding their face because they’re ashamed, because I’ve asked them.”
Roan Calls Out ‘Harassing’ Fans And Paparazzi In Viral Video

Roan went on to describe how the situation made her feel like her personal space was being ignored. “People that are completely disregarding all of my boundaries,” she said. “All of you, I’m asking you kindly to please leave me alone and stop following me and harassing me.”
When one fan asked for an autograph, the singer declined. “I’m not gonna sign,” she said bluntly. “This is what it’s like, if you were wondering how it is,” she told viewers while recording the interaction.
Boy George Encourages Chappell Roan To ‘Own Your Fame’

Following the viral moment, Boy George weighed in on social media with advice based on his decades of experience in the public eye. Reflecting on Roan filming the paparazzi during the incident, he wrote:
“It’s probably not helpful but I have been doing this fame thing for a while and you learn slowly and painfully that you don’t get a free pass once you turn yourself into a bird of paradise. I watched @ChappellRoan filming the paps in Paris and I laughed because I have kicked off at them many times. The trick is to own your fame. yes, it’s annoying at times but so is being ignored and told your a ‘has-been. Life is always now and I think Chappell looks great but cheer up girl. The world is at your feet stop kicking it! It takes so much more time to say no to a picture or a signature. Boundaries are boring. Break them with the magic of kindness!”
Not everyone agreed with Boy George’s perspective. Singer Noah Kahan came to Roan’s defense shortly after the video began spreading online.
Noah Kahan Defends Roan

Kahan shared a story about the incident and questioned why people continued following the singer after she had clearly asked to be left alone. “Maybe they should just idk leave her alone?” he asked.
He also criticized individuals who claim to be fans while waiting outside venues or restaurants. “Also those dudes saying ‘I’m a huge fan’ following her around are scalpers and are as bad as the paparazzi,” he wrote. “F-ck em all.”
Kahan Says Many ‘Fans’ Are Actually Resellers

Kahan later expanded on his thoughts in a video, arguing that some people who approach celebrities for autographs aren’t genuine fans at all. “These people literally find out where you’re staying, where you’re flying in to, where your team, family, whoever is staying, they are clearly not your fans, they just sit outside places so they can try to guilt you into signing sh-t so they can sell it,” he said.
According to Kahan, the situation often gets misunderstood by people who only see short clips of these encounters online. “They trick people like you who are just watching the video and don’t know what’s going on into thinking that someone’s being rude to one of their fans, when they’re really just manipulating you,” he said.
