The internet is popping OFF with reactions after ‘Love Island USA’ star Huda Mustafa and actor Louis Russell have decided to call it quits. The pair dropped a joint statement about their breakup, now fans are flooding social media with thoughts about their split.

Louis Russell and Huda Mustafa spoke exclusively with TMZ about their breakup. The former couple told the outlet that they’ve taken time to reflect before mutually deciding to go their separate ways. “We want to share that after taking time to reflect on what’s best for us both, we have mutually decided to part ways for the time being.” 

They also shared that they plan to focus on parenting as well as their individual careers while still maintaining a friendship despite ending their relationship. “Huda is dedicating her time and energy to being the best mother, her music career and the exciting opportunities ahead, while Louis is focused on being the best father he can be and pursuing his future endeavors. We remain friends and continue to have the utmost respect and love for one another. During this time, we kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this next chapter of our lives.”

After The Shade Room dropped the news about Huda and Louis’ split, the comment section was flooded with reactions. Plenty of folks said they’re actually happy for Huda since she has new music on the way, while others said they want to see her outside having a full hot girl summer.

More About Louis & Huda’s Relationship

Huda Mustafa and Louis Russell first sparked dating rumors in July 2025 following her appearance on season seven of ‘Love Island USA.’ A month later, the duo seemingly hard launched their relationship when Huda popped out with Russell at the ‘Weapons’ movie premiere. Even though they showcased their love online, the couple still hit a few bumps in the road.

Most recently, in March, Huda and Louis hopped on social media to address reports about a temporary restraining order connected to allegations from Louis’ ex-girlfriend and the mother of his son, Nicole Olivera. A judge granted the temporary restraining order and ordered Huda to stay away from Nicole and her son. Nicole claimed Mustafa threatened her and her son and also tried to break into their Los Angeles home. At the time Huda dropped a message on her Instagram Stories telling fans she was choosing to handle things legally. Meanwhile, Louis shared his own message saying he just wanted to focus on being “a good dad.”
