Genius Game star David Tennant once revealed that he has a rare condition that only affects one in every 1,000.

Genius Game star David Tennant on his rare condition
For years, there has been speculation online that David, 54, doesn’t have 10 toes, but 11.
Fans of the star noticed that the star seemingly had an extra toe on his right foot. However, the star never confirmed or denied the speculation. Until back in February, that is.
During an interview with Metro, the Good Omens actor was asked whether the rumours were true.
Turns out they are!
When asked if people know he has six toes, he replied: “Well, they do now.
“It’s sort of like a nubbin,” he then added.

Polydactyly explained
David’s condition is called polydactyly, and it’s not as rare as it first seems.
According to the Boston Children’s Hospital, the condition affects one in every 500-1,000 babies. In fact, it’s one of the most common birth defects that affects a baby’s hands or feet.
Of the different types of polydactyly, David’s is the most common. However, there is a rare form of the condition where an extra digit forms in the middle of the hand or foot.
“Polydactyly can either be inherited via the autosomal dominant pathway, which means only one parent needs to pass on the gene for the condition to appear, or can occur due to environmental factors and abnormalities during foetal development,” Miss Jurga Pikturnaite, a consultant specialising in plastic reconstructive, hand and aesthetic surgery told the Independent in February.
“In many cases, polydactyly is not a cause for concern either functionally or physiologically, however, this should only be determined after a newborn has been assessed by a congenital limb differences team,” she then added.
She then revealed that additional digits that are small and non-functional tend not to cause any functional issues. They would only require surgery if desired by the family.
The show is about eleven contestants being pitted against each other as they compete in challenges that test their strategic thinking and social skills to eliminate one another from the competition. The winner goes home with a cash prize and is crowned The Genius
However, viewers were left divided. “The instructions are completely confusing with no recap whatsoever! It’s like a cheap knock off of The Traitors! Another poor programme from ITV!” one viewer fumed.
“I really wanted to like #GeniusGame but it’s confusing for confusing sake! My brain has switched off. Shame, coz I would watch paint dry if David Tennant presented it!” another said.
However, some viewers did enjoy.
“I loved #GeniusGame on ITV, though I understand why many others haven’t, a lot of the show required a lot of explaining and a lot of thought. Definitely not one to just have on in the background. Tennant was a great host,” one fan said.

For those wondering…
Hayu is a direct-to-consumer subscription video-on-demand service from NBCUniversal. It includes Bravo programming a day after its U.S. airing.
“Whether hosting lavish dinners, escaping to a Scottish castle, or rebuilding bonds over bottles of champagne — they’re all navigating life, legacy and loyalty,” Hayu teased in a press release this week.
“With big personalities, deep histories, and no shortage of designer drama, the path to connection is never simple — but it’s always captivating. London’s calling… and these six ladies have answered.”

Juliet Angus is a “Chicago native and now a resident of West London. She is a wife and mom of two. She has been making serious waves east of the Atlantic, initially capturing the hearts of reality TV fans as a cast member on Ladies of London,” Hayu said in a press pack.
Juliet is a social media influencer, global brand partner, stylist and former fashion publicist.
According to Hayu, Amanda Cronin is “a former model turned entrepreneur and mother to 27-year-old artist daughter” and “the founder of the Amanda Caroline Beauty skincare brand and runs The Secret Door, an aesthetics and wellness clinic in Belgravia.”
She has “close ties” to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Meredith Marks and former The Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley.
Fans may recognize Karen Loderick-Peace from the U.K. Housewives spinoff, The Real Housewives of Jersey.
“Born in Jamaica, Karen moved to the UK in her twenties, where she later met her husband Jeremy, former chairman and owner of West Bromwich Albion F.C.,” Hayu said. “The couple share three children and own five luxurious properties across London, Jersey and Barbados. She is currently preparing to launch her own fashion label, reflecting her passion for style and design.”

Juliet Mayhew is a close friend of The Real Housewives of Dubai’s Caroline Stanbury, “Australian native and former Miss Galaxy Universe, Juliet moved to the UK at the age of 12,” said Hayu, adding:
“Now living in one of Chelsea’s most desirable neighbourhoods, Juliet is married to ‘Tiggy’, with whom she has two teenage children. A former actress turned creative producer, she is a committed philanthropist and also specialises in hosting immersive events through her successful event planning company — catering to some of the world’s most elite clients.”
Born in Iran, Panthea Parker “moved to England at the age of four. She lives in North London with her husband Ed and their three children,” Hayu said, noting that she also has an adult son from her first marriage.
Panthea is described as being “known for her high-society lifestyle and formidable social circle, Panthea has embraced a life of glamour, having been on the Mayfair scene since the ‘90s, where she was a fixture at Annabel’s partying with A-listers.”

London born and raised, Nessie Welschinger “shares her Chelsea family home – and a 500-year-old estate, nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds – with her husband Remy and their three children,” Hayu said.
“A former Global Head of Equity at Schroders, she now runs the renowned Chelsea Cake Company, boasting high-profile clientele including Queen Elizabeth II, having made one of her 90th birthday cakes.”
Welschinger previously appeared on the U.K. reality competition Bake Off: The Professionals.
Indeed, the intimates seller shut down its website the evening of May 28, sharing the company was dealing with a “security issue.”
“Valued customer, we identified and are taking steps to address a security incident,” the retailer wrote on its website May 29. “We have taken down our website and some in store services as a precaution.”
Although Victoria’s Secret executives did not specify what kind of security issue they were dealing with, they ensured they would be up and running again as soon as possible.
“Our team is working around the clock to fully restore operations. We appreciate your patience during this process,” the statement continued. “In the meantime, our Victoria’s Secret and PINK stores remain open and we look forward to serving you.”
Victoria’s Secret website issue comes less than a year after the brand’s big comeback with its fashion show return for the first time since its 2019 cancellation.
Martin Lawrence, Eddie Murphy We’re Officially In-Laws!!!
Published
It’s official — Martin Lawrence’s daughter just said “I do” to Eddie Murphy’s son, and honestly, it’s the ultimate Hollywood fairy tale we didn’t know we needed!
Telepictures/Warner Bros. TV
Eddie himself spilled the tea — his son, Eric Murphy (from ex Paulette McNeely), and Jasmin Lawrence (Martin’s daughter with ex Patricia Southall) secretly tied the knot almost two weeks ago.
Eddie dished on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” that while the families were ready to plan an extravagant wedding, the lovebirds opted for a low-key, intimate ceremony – just the two of them, a church, and a preacher.
He also joked it was a relief for Martin as there were no wedding bills to foot now — which has been an ongoing joke between the two stars about who’s going to pick up the tab for the big day.
As we reported… Martin’s daughter, Jasmin, and Eddie’s son, Eric, got engaged the day before Thanksgiving after three years of bliss.
