Jessi Draper Dragged Over Voice Note About Taylor Frankie Paul
“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Jessi Draper is back in the hot seat. Today, May 1, a leaked audio recording was shared online featuring the Hulu reality star disparaging her co-star, Taylor Frankie Paul, and producers. The audio stands in stark contrast to Draper’s public support for Paul during her legal war with Dakota Mortensen. This footage dropped just a day after a Utah judge issued permanent protective orders for both parties for the next three years.
In the new audio clip obtained by TMZ, Draper declared her unwavering support for Mortensen just months before their legal battles became front-page news.
“I don’t know how much Jordan [Ngatikaura] has told you on production’s end, but pretty much everyone is in alignment as far as the cast goes about not really wanting to publicly support Taylor at the moment with ‘The Bachelorette’ stuff,” Draper said. “Just because we all feel so uneasy about if this comes out.”
Draper went on to condemn Paul, who, around the time of the audio recording, had been dragged in the media for allegedly assaulting Mortensen, the father of her child, Ever. Draper went even further, claiming that Hulu and the production team behind “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” would try to protect Paul in the upcoming season.
“And we all feel that way, but we are having, like, production and management gaslight the f–k out of us,” she said.
Jessi Draper Said Hulu Was Trying To ‘Spin That Narrative’ That Paul Was A ‘Victim’ In Her Relationship With Mortensen
Draper didn’t stop there. In the nearly three-minute audio recording, Draper accused Hulu of attempting to manipulate the story in the upcoming season to portray others in a negative light. “They’re definitely trying to spin that narrative to protect her and the show,” Draper said, adding that the rest of the cast wasn’t falling for it.
“I think we’re all, as parents, like, ‘This isn’t OK.’ We know this situation is dangerous, and it needs to change. If she gets away with this with no consequences, then it’s not good for anyone, especially the kids,” Draper could be heard saying in the clip.
What’s even more shocking is that Draper asked Mortensen to share videos of Paul allegedly assaulting him with her and the rest of the group so that they could defend him while cameras were rolling. (According to The Blast, a shocking video of Paul appearing to assault Mortensen during a 2023 argument went viral in March 2026.)
Jessi Draper Sends Even More Support To Mortensen In Leaked Audio Clip
Draper, who has two kids with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, sent even more support Mortensen’s way in her audio message, calling the situation “freaking hard” before admitting the situation has been painful.
“I love Taylor, and I’m just sad it’s gotten to this point. But I think something has to happen for her to learn some lessons. And I hope this is helping you too. I know it’s probably really hard,” Draper added.
Draper’s defense of Mortensen in the leaked audio clip has caused a bit of a stir online, given the fact that the TV personality recently sat on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast and defended the mother of three while slamming Mortensen and the rest of “DadTok.”
“I’m soooo sick of these mentally ill attention-seeking adults that are 30+ years old using Ever as a pawn to air out their grievances with one another,” one user wrote on Reddit, adding that the entire cast of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” needs professional help. “The fact these people have kids and are using this baby’s pain and abuse to get more fame and attention is SICK.”
One user also chimed in on the conversation, questioning why Draper would publicly slam Mortensen for weeks, knowing she had sided with him just weeks before, while another said Draper was “not a girl’s girl.”
A fourth shared a different perspective, calling on Hulu to axe the reality show completely. “This is why I said this show needs to be canceled. It’s destroying their lives, but they’re too fame-obsessed to see it. They all need help.”
Draper Defends Her Position In New Social Media Post
On her Instagram Stories, Draper opened up about the leaked video and accused Mortensen and his alleged roommate, Crew, of releasing the audio to ruin another woman’s life. Continuing, Draper said that her comments were made at the beginning of filming season 5 of “SLOMW,” when she and Paul were at odds. She admitted, however, that she and Paul wound up bonding over their shared experiences, and that her support for Paul in recent weeks has been genuine.
