As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Pope Francis passed away at the age of 88 on Monday.

The Pope’s funeral is scheduled for Saturday, and leaders and dignitaries from around the world will be in attendance.

But while the UK will be represented by Prince William, it seems that Kate Middleton will not be seated beside her husband at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City.

William will attend Pope Francis’ funeral on his own

Following days of speculation, it appears that both Charles and Kate will be skipping the trip to Italy.

“Kate won’t join William at the Pope’s funeral. The future King will take the solo flight,” one insider tells the International News.

Like everything that Kate and Charles do these days, the decision has prompted speculation about the health of the two royals.

As you’re likely aware, Kate battled cancer last year, but is now in full remission.

Britain's Prince William, Prince of Wales, Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), and Catherine, Princess of Wales, Patron of the Rugby Football Union (RFU), meet injured players who are supported by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust as they attend the Six Nations match between Wales and England at the Principality Stadium on March 15, 2025 in Cardiff, Wales.

Charles is still battling cancer, and Buckingham Palace officials have been reluctant to offer updates with regard to his health.

The secrecy has led to rumors that Charles is not doing as well as expected. Some have even gone so far as to suggest that the King’s condition is terminal.

But it’s important to note that there’s been no confirmation of such a severe progression, and Charles has been traveling and working a great deal in recent months.

Charles’ trip to the Vatican to meet with Francis

Most recently, Charles and Queen Camilla paid a visit to the ailing Francis in the final weeks of his life.

The king and queen recalled the pontiff fondly in their official statement following his death:

“My wife and I were most deeply saddened to learn of the death of Pope Francis. Our heavy hearts have been somewhat eased, however, to know that His Holiness has able to share an Easter Greeting with the Church and the world he served with such devotion throughout his life and ministry,” the statement read.

“The Queen and I remember with particular affection our meetings with His Holiness over the years and we were greatly moved to have been able to visit him earlier in the month.”

As for Kate, there’s no reason to believe that her decision to stay home has anything to do with her health.

After all, she and William are parents to three young children, and they’ve been vocal about wanting the kids to have as normal a childhood as possible.

In a few years, George, Charlotte, and Louis may begin joining their parents on international work trips.

But for now, Kate likely believes that it’s best for the kids to remain at home and attend school regularly — and to have at least one parent around the house creating a sense of normalcy.

'The Thursday Murder Club' Trailer Unveiled By Netflix

Netflix has unveiled the first teaser for The Thursday Murder Club, its highly anticipated adaptation of the international bestseller by Richard Osman, which is set to premiere August 28.

Directed by Chris Columbus, the murder mystery stars Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie as four irrepressible retirees — Elizabeth (Mirren), Ron (Brosnan), Ibrahim (Kingsley) and Joyce (Imrie) — who spend their time solving cold case murders for fun. When an unexplained death occurs on their own doorstep, their casual sleuthing takes a thrilling turn as they find themselves with a real whodunit on their hands.

The trailer opens with Elizabeth discussing a cold case for the group to look into from May 11, 1973, involving a woman thrown out of a window and onto the street below.

“Oh my god!” says Joyce, barging in. “Isn’t this room usually for jigsaws?”

“Not on a Thursday, no,” Elizabeth says.

This is Joyce’s introduction to the retirement village of Coopers Chase, where she and her fellow retirees investigate murders. While initially perhaps put off by their investigations, she gets in on the action when a murder takes place in the present day.

“There’s been a murder, an actual murder! Now we’ve got a real case to solve. Isn’t it wonderful?” she tells the group. “Obviously, R.I.P and all that…”

Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote adapted the screenplay for the film, produced through a partnership between Netflix and Amblin Entertainment. The cast also includes Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell, Richard E. Grant and Ingrid Oliver.

Jennifer Todd and Columbus produced, with Jo Burn, Osman, Eleanor Columbus, Holly Bario and Jeb Brody serving as executive producers.

History has been made, reality television fans.

On Thursday, Hayu revealed the cast of The Real Housewives of London, the network’s first-ever original series.

The series went into production in March 2025, marking 30th installment of the franchise overall — and the third one based in the UK following ITVBe’s The Real Housewives of Cheshire and The Real Housewives of Jersey.

(Bravo also recently confirmed The Real Housewives of Rhode Island was on the way and we’ve heard that The Real Housewives New York City has been canceled.)

“Following an extremely popular casting process, we’re excited to confirm the group of dynamic women who make up The Real Housewives of London – Hayu’s first-ever commission of an original series,” said Hendrik McDermott, MD, Hayu, EMEA Networks & International Direct-To-Consumer, NBCUniversal.

“As we continue evolving our strategy to super-serve loyal Hayu fans, we look forward to amplifying the unrivalled reality content offering that attracts and retains our subscribers.

“Hayu will be the exclusive home to this latest instalment in the world-renowned The Real Housewives franchise – brought to life through these six leading ladies.”

The cast includes Chicago native Juliet Angus, former model Amanda Cronin, Jamaica-born Karen Loderick-Peace, Australian native Juliet Mayhew, Iran-born Panthea Parker and Chelsea Cake Company cofounder Nessie Welschinger.

For those wondering…

Hayu is a direct-to-consumer subscription video-on-demand service from NBCUniversal. It includes Bravo programming a day after its U.S. airing.

“Whether hosting lavish dinners, escaping to a Scottish castle, or rebuilding bonds over bottles of champagne — they’re all navigating life, legacy and loyalty,” Hayu teased in a press release this week.

“With big personalities, deep histories, and no shortage of designer drama, the path to connection is never simple — but it’s always captivating. London’s calling… and these six ladies have answered.”

Now. Let’s meet the cast, shall we?

Juliet Angus is a “Chicago native and now a resident of West London. She is a wife and mom of two. She has been making serious waves east of the Atlantic, initially capturing the hearts of reality TV fans as a cast member on Ladies of London,” Hayu said in a press pack.

Juliet is a social media influencer, global brand partner, stylist and former fashion publicist.

According to Hayu, Amanda Cronin is “a former model turned entrepreneur and mother to 27-year-old artist daughter” and “the founder of the Amanda Caroline Beauty skincare brand and runs The Secret Door, an aesthetics and wellness clinic in Belgravia.”

She has “close ties” to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Meredith Marks and former The Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley.

Fans may recognize Karen Loderick-Peace from the U.K. Housewives spinoff, The Real Housewives of Jersey.

“Born in Jamaica, Karen moved to the UK in her twenties, where she later met her husband Jeremy, former chairman and owner of West Bromwich Albion F.C.,” Hayu said. “The couple share three children and own five luxurious properties across London, Jersey and Barbados. She is currently preparing to launch her own fashion label, reflecting her passion for style and design.”

Juliet Mayhew is a close friend of The Real Housewives of Dubai’s Caroline Stanbury, “Australian native and former Miss Galaxy Universe, Juliet moved to the UK at the age of 12,” said Hayu, adding:

A former actress turned creative producer, she is a committed philanthropist and also specialises in hosting immersive events through her successful event planning company — catering to some of the world’s most elite clients.”

Born in Iran, Panthea Parker “moved to England at the age of four. She lives in North London with her husband Ed and their three children,” Hayu said, noting that she also has an adult son from her first marriage.

Panthea is described as being “known for her high-society lifestyle and formidable social circle, Panthea has embraced a life of glamour, having been on the Mayfair scene since the ‘90s, where she was a fixture at Annabel’s partying with A-listers.”

London born and raised, Nessie Welschinger “shares her Chelsea family home – and a 500-year-old estate, nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds – with her husband Remy and their three children,” Hayu said.

“A former Global Head of Equity at Schroders, she now runs the renowned Chelsea Cake Company, boasting high-profile clientele including Queen Elizabeth II, having made one of her 90th birthday cakes.”

Welschinger previously appeared on the U.K. reality competition Bake Off: The Professionals.

Victoria’s Secret Website Shuts Down Amid Security Issue

Victoria’s Secret is not keeping its website issue under wraps.

Indeed, the intimates seller shut down its website the evening of May 28, sharing the company was dealing with a “security issue.”

“Valued customer, we identified and are taking steps to address a security incident,” the retailer wrote on its website May 29. “We have taken down our website and some in store services as a precaution.”

Although Victoria’s Secret executives did not specify what kind of security issue they were dealing with, they ensured they would be up and running again as soon as possible.

“Our team is working around the clock to fully restore operations. We appreciate your patience during this process,” the statement continued. “In the meantime, our Victoria’s Secret and PINK stores remain open and we look forward to serving you.”

Victoria’s Secret website issue comes less than a year after the brand’s big comeback with its fashion show return for the first time since its 2019 cancellation.
