U.K. reality star Katie Price had been candid about her physical appearance before she debuted a new look.

“I’ve always said I haven’t got body dysmorphia for years ‘cause I didn’t think I did,” Price, 48, shared in a resurfaced ITV clip from August. “But I realized I do have body dysmorphia ‘cause I don’t know what you guys look at me like. But I look in the mirror as I do now and think, ‘I don’t like what I see.’ I know I’m going to change something. I don’t know what I try and get out of it. I need to know that I’m happy when I look in the mirror.”

In a separate clip from August, Price spoke with journalist Andrew Gold for the interview show Heretics and discussed what she sees when she looks in the mirror.

“Well, I look in the mirror and think, ‘Oh no, I need to tweak [that]. That’s not right. I need to get rid of that.’ I don’t even know what it is. Like now, I want to go to the surgeon in September and say, ‘Can you just pull a bit there?’” she said, pulling the side of her face back with her hands. “Because I know it looks better.”

“I always say, if you’re going to do it, just do little bits at a time. Because I think what some women do, they leave it until a certain age and then they get it done and then it is a shock to everyone. Because they’re like, ‘Whoa, have you seen what they look like now? They’ve done this.’ Whereas me, I just do little bits here, there. And I tell everyone what I do,” she said, adding that she looks “better in life than I do on picture.”

Price, who appeared in the U.K.’s Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity MasterChef, made headlines on Tuesday, September 8, when she looked unrecognizable while stepping out for the National Television Awards red carpet.

While at the event in London, Price showed off her ultra-bronzed face, dark eye makeup, lip liner and slicked-back hair. Hours earlier, Price opened up about the procedures she had undergone.

“The person doing my makeup, oh my God, I am so honored, so lucky. The person is absolutely iconic and, at the same time, so excited to do my makeup,” she said. “He’s got to cover all this up. So, yeah, watch the magic happen.”

She continued, “Originally I had a glam squad, but they passed on doing the NTAs because I wouldn’t wear the outfits they wanted me to. But the outfit I’ve chosen myself is still different because I don’t like to follow what everyone else follows. In a way, they did me a favor by saying they were going to pass on my glam.”
