Katy Perry’s ‘Cool Advice’ To BF Justin Trudeau’s Son Revealed

Katy Perry is stepping into the role of a girlfriend whose boyfriend’s children are on board with their affair. 

The “Roar” hitmaker went public with Justin Trudeau two months ago after weeks of speculation about their romance. Perry previously split with Orlando Bloom, while Trudeau separated from his ex-wife Sophie Grégoire, with whom he shares three kids. 

Although the relationship has sparked plenty of public chatter, Trudeau’s son Xavier is now weighing in for the first time, offering his own take on the singer.

Perry’s blossoming romance with Justin appears to have won over his eldest son.

In a recent chat with content creator G Hobs, which was later shared on Instagram, Xavier was asked to address the “elephant in the room,” his father’s relationship with the pop star.

Confirming he has met her, Xavier gushed, “She’s cool, she’s nice,” before spilling on their encounter. “We talked for hours, talking about my music. She gave me advice and next steps for me and stuff,” the 18-year-old shared.

He, however, noted that their conversation did not involve her trip to the moon. Xavier’s remarks about Perry come amid speculations that her relationship with Justin is getting intense, with a baby on the way and marriage talks.

As The Blast reported, the rumors began after the “Teenage Dreams” singer was spotted in Montecito, California, wearing a loose cover-up at the Coral Casino and Cabana Club, which fans thought might be hiding a baby bump.

With speculation swirling, those close to the singer shut down the claims, pointing out that a baby is not the couple’s current focus. 

“She’s not against it,” the insider said. “But they are just in a euphoric honeymoon phase and enjoying life together with the children they already have from their previous relationships.”

For now, Perry is directing all her attention to her upcoming festival dates across Europe, which is why she is not pregnant. 

“But Katy would also actually like to get through her upcoming tour with limited stress and not have the concern that comes with bringing a new life into the world,” they added.

While a baby may not be on the horizon, the duo is deepening their bond as an insider shared new insights about them. 

“They are very smitten and into each other,” the insider shared, per The Blast. The source went on to reveal that what adds to the songwriter’s admiration for the former Canadian prime minister is that she is impressed by his accomplishments and sees him as a good fit for her. 

The “Fireworks” singer was initially said to be drawn to the politician because he is a Capricorn, believing that an earth sign helps ground her. She also hoped to connect with a strong, older, high-profile man, and friends say Trudeau fits that perfectly. 

Perry and Trudeau were first seen together in July following Perry’s split from Bloom. Their first public outing came on October 25 in Paris for Perry’s birthday, where photos showed them smiling and holding hands. 

While the birthday outing marked a big step in their relationship, another event pushed it into the political spotlight. 

As The Blast reported, Perry accompanied her beau for a formal visit on December 3 to meet former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko.

Kishida later shared a photo of the hangout on Instagram and referred to Perry as Trudeau’s “partner,” before highlighting his longstanding friendship with Trudeau. 

Aside from focusing on her bond with Trudeau, Perry has brought attention to serious situations in the country.

Last month, The Blast reported that Perry used her social media platform to push her fans to stop the $10 billion funding for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. 

She urged them to call their senators to vote against the bill, writing on Instagram, “We have until Friday, January 30, to block $10 billion (on top of the $75B that’s already been funded) from going through to ICE.”

In another message, the 41-year-old detailed how people could express their frustration over the law enforcement’s actions. She wrote that citizens and noncitizens are being arrested at work, assaulted at protests, pulled from vehicles, and shot by ICE.
