Former “Real Housewives of Atlanta”star Kim Zolciak has been in the process of divorcing her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, since 2023. In 2025, the two moved out of their Atlanta home, and she began dating someone new. Likewise, he has hinted that he is romantically involved following a career change. Now, in 2026, it has been reported that the bitter exes have come to a temporary custody agreement for their young children.

Kim Zolciak And Kroy Biermann Are Moving Forward In Their Divorce
Zolciak and Biermann have six children together. This includes the four they had together and Zolciak’s two older daughters, whom Biermann later adopted. Regarding the four younger children, TMZ is reporting that the exes have finally come to a temporary custody agreement.
Per the report, they had a mediation on January 27. TMZ confirmed that the meeting took place but did not receive specifics about what the agreement entails for the children. Regarding the kids, the older two, Kroy and Kash, were born in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Their twins, Kaia and Kane, were born in 2013.

The Couple Has Yet To Finalize Their Divorce
Zolciak and Biermann first filed for divorce in May 2023. Sadly, for the couple, this came amid the public discourse around their financial situation. Now, almost three years later, they’re still not legally divorced. However, according to PEOPLE, they took a major step forward in April 2025 when they moved out of their home.
The report states that the Georgia home was sold in January 2025 for $2.8 million after significant price cuts. However, the family failed to move out and were “ejected” by U.S. Marshals. Specifically, this took place on April 8 between 3:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. According to Bravo, Zolciak showed off her new home in January 2026 on her Instagram story. Regarding Biermann, he’s been much more private, aside from what he’s said about his divorce from Zolciak. However, he is believed to be in the Atlanta area.

The saga of Zolciak’s divorce from Biermann has been widely discussed by “Real Housewives of Atlanta” fans. Now, them reacting a custody agreement is no different. One person said on X, “The fact that she’s even getting temporary custody after the way she’s treated him is a joke. Kroy needs to take the kids and run before she sells the furniture out from under them.”
Someone else wrote, “Sounds like a step toward reducing conflict, at least for now.” Another person said, “They are adults, they should do what’s best for them and the kids.” A different “RHOA” fan wrote, “At least they are putting the kids first for once.”

More Family Drama Came To Light In 2025
In 2025, Zolciak’s daughter, Ariana Biermann, began appearing on Bravo’s “Next Gen NYC” as a main cast member. She discussed how her parents, Zolciak and Biermann, had borrowed money from her in the past. According to Page Six, Zolciak addressed the claims during a “Watch What Happens Live” appearance.
She said, “The rug was pulled out from the Zolciaks. Ariana’s money was spent on bills, to be honest. I was left holding the bag for the family. I was left with nothing, so I had to figure it out fast. The money I borrowed from Ariana, I paid her back … for the bills and stuff.”
Still, she admitted she had yet to repay her daughter for the money she took from social media brand deals. Notably, her daughter was in the audience of the show with her then-boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy, who is also a cast member on “Next Gen NYC.”

The Former ‘RHOA’ Star Has Been Active In Reality TV Again
Zolciak hasn’t appeared on “RHOA” as a cast member since the show’s 10th season in 2017. Additionally, her spin-off, “Don’t Be Tardy,” ended in 2021. However, she has been more active in recent years with her television appearances. She appeared in Hulu’s reality series “Got to Get Out” in 2025, alongside other reality stars, including Cynthia Bailey.
According to Deadline, she also appeared on “Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets” in 2024. She discussed her time on “RHOA” on the show, saying, “I walked away from millions of dollars. I was eight months pregnant with my son… glasses being thrown. It was terrible.”
However, she has more recently stated that she would be open to returning. It’s also worth noting that she will be featured on the upcoming “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.”
