Mama June’s Dress Sale Revives Daughter’s Divorce Drama
Mama June Shannon is helping daughter Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon clear out one major reminder of her short-lived marriage.
Just days after Jessica’s divorce from Shyann McCant became final, the reality TV matriarch put her daughter’s $1,500 wedding dress up for sale at a steep discount.
The timing is particularly striking after what began as an amicable breakup descended into a public cheating controversy involving June herself.
June didn’t dance around the reason Jessica’s wedding dress was suddenly looking for a new owner.
“Well the marriage didn’t work, but the wedding dress was beautiful,” she declared in an Instagram post advertising the gown.
The “Mama June: Family Crisis” star said the size 20W dress had not been altered and even came with pockets. She also disclosed something prospective buyers might want to know before handing over their money.
The dress “hasn’t been dry cleaned,” June acknowledged, while insisting there were “no stains.”
According to Us Weekly, June originally paid $1,500 for the gown and is now asking $800. She said shipping and local pickup in Gray, Georgia, were available.
Despite the marriage’s unhappy ending, June still described it as “a beautiful dress for a beautiful bride.”
Fans Had Plenty To Say About The Uncleaned $800 Dress
Unsurprisingly, Mama June’s sales pitch quickly became almost as entertaining as the item itself.
One commenter couldn’t get past her opening line, writing, “‘Well the marriage didn’t work’ like June please not today.”
Another was considerably less amused by the revelation that the gown had yet to visit the cleaners.
“Goodness have it dry clean that’s gross!” the commenter wrote, before acknowledging that the dress itself was “very beautiful” and saying they wouldn’t pay $800 for a worn gown in its current condition.
Others focused less on June’s sales technique and more on Jessica’s heartbreak.
“I’m sorry it didn’t work out Jes, you looked so beautiful, & your happily ever after is still out there,” one supporter wrote.
Meanwhile, June’s unusual Facebook Marketplace-style pitch may actually work as one prospective bride jumped into the comments with, “I’m interested!!! I have a fall wedding next year!”
The reactions turned an otherwise painful reminder of Jessica’s marriage into a surprisingly lighthearted post, but the story behind the dress has been considerably messier.
Jessica Shannon’s Divorce Became Final Days Before The Sale
The listing arrived shortly after Jessica officially closed the door on her marriage.
A Georgia judge finalized her divorce from McCant on August 27, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
Jessica also regained her maiden name, Jessica Louise Shannon. The former spouses reached a settlement in July, and the final order restrained both women from harassing each other.
Additional court documents obtained by Us Weekly showed there was no alimony listed, marital property to divide or marital debt between them.
Jessica filed for divorce on July 24 and described the marriage as “irretrievably broken.” She listed June 1 as their separation date.
The couple had married in 2025 before filming another wedding ceremony for “Mama June: Family Crisis.”
The timing initially confused some viewers because their televised wedding had only recently aired when Jessica announced the breakup. PEOPLE noted that the split became public less than three weeks after viewers watched their wedding on the show’s Season 8 finale.

Mama June Turned The Breakup Into A Public Cheating Battle
Jessica initially tried to keep the split civil.
“As most of y’all can tell, me and Shyann are no longer together,” she wrote in June, explaining that they had mutually decided separating was best.
She emphasized that they remained friends and asked followers not to direct hate toward either of them.
However, that quiet approach didn’t last. In July, June publicly accused McCant of cheating and identified the woman she claimed her daughter’s estranged wife had left her for.
McCant subsequently acknowledged being unfaithful. “Yes, I cheated. I take full responsibility for that,” McCant wrote, according to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup.
However, she also pushed back against June’s version of events. McCant said she had been unhappy and claimed she repeatedly asked Jessica for a divorce before the affair, adding that “issues involving her mother” were a significant reason she wanted out.
Still, McCant stressed that those circumstances did not excuse her infidelity.
Jessica Shannon Took A Different Approach To The Messy Fallout
While her mother and ex traded accusations publicly, Jessica eventually struck a surprisingly conciliatory tone.
After the cheating controversy exploded, Jessica confirmed she knew McCant was involved with Mackenzie and acknowledged that she had initially been hurt.
However, she said she no longer cared about their relationship and wanted everyone involved to be happy.
Her priority, she explained, was maintaining her relationship with a young girl named Harper whom she had grown close to during the relationship.
That response stood in contrast to the public war surrounding her as Jessica appeared more interested in moving forward than relitigating what had gone wrong.
