Mariska Hargitay Honors Gloria Steinem At The Emmys

Gloria Steinem lives on in the hearts of many, but Mariska Hargitay wants her message to reach even more.

The Hollywood icon referenced the late feminist activist during her Emmy acceptance speech. The trailblazing feminist passed away peacefully in her New York residence at the age of 92 on September 2.

Many A-listers, high-profile celebrities, and Hollywood icons have paid tribute to Gloria Steinem, whether on public platforms like Mariska Hargitay did or through simple social media posts praising her for her contributions to the fight for equal women’s rights.

Hargitay walked away with two Emmys at the 78th Creative Arts Emmys. One for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special, and the other for Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program.

During her emotional acceptance speech while receiving one of the two awards for her 2025 directorial debut film “My Mom Jayne,” the actress moved the crowd with a nod at Steinem’s final words.

Standing on stage inside Los Angeles’ Peacock Theatre on Sunday, September 6, the Hollywood icon expressed her feelings concerning earning honors for a project she initially doubted she could direct.

“I’m utterly overwhelmed, as you can imagine. I just wanted to share with you that it took me a while … to realize that this was my story to tell,” The TV star said. “I didn’t think that I could direct it, and so I just want to add something to Gloria’s pointer, and that is about telling your own story.”

Steinem’s interview for the “Famous Last Words” documentary series was released after her death. In the clip, according to US Weekly, the political activist encouraged people to “please tell your own story,” noting that it is “the most important thing we can do for each other.”

The ‘Law & Order: SUV’ Star Lost Her Mom At A Tender Age

Even though the documentary is about her late mother, Jayne Mansfield, the actress did not grow up knowing her. Mansfield, who was also an actress and a 1960s sex symbol, died while Hargitay was still a toddler in a car crash.

The fatal 1967 car crash took Mansfield’s life while her daughter was just 3 years old, leaving her to grow up in the care of her stepfather, Mickey Hargitay. “My Mom Jayne” features personal home videos and interviews with Mansfield’s five children, whom she welcomed with four different romantic partners.

The Emmy winner previously disclosed that filming the documentary revealed similarities she shares with her late mom. The eye-opening experience fuelled a new spark of admiration and respect that the actress had for Mansfield.

Referencing Steinem’s interview again in her speech, the TV star said that she was “so excited to explore and discover and to innovate new ways of hearing stories from half of the world’s population because we don’t hear from you nearly enough.”

Steinem’s “Famous Last Words” interview was filmed in February 2025, over a year before her demise. During the conversation, the feminist encouraged others to share their own experiences, as personal stories connect people in ways that go beyond mere words.

She also acknowledged that while individuality exists, the media has truly made the world a global village by connecting people who may never have face-to-face interactions, as reported by The Blast.

“I wish I could meet each one of you in person, but in a way, this is what allows us now to see each other’s lives, to influence each other’s lives, to respect each other, and to, therefore, perpetuate what we hope is a global democracy,” Steinem said of the media.

Furthermore, the late political icon urged her listeners to embrace their uniqueness and do what they “love” before discussing her contribution to the second-wave feminist movement in the United States.

She stressed that despite her widely celebrated prominence and contribution to the cause, the feminist movement had spread far and wide thanks to many, so she should not be given all the credit.

The Late Journalist Led By Example

Steinem’s final words in the Netflix interview were statements she had embraced and embodied throughout her life. Just as she encouraged her viewers to embrace their individuality, the late icon stood firm in the decisions she made for herself.

About a decade before her death, Steinem opened up about living a childfree life, and when asked if she had any regrets, she maintained her stance. The activist shared that she never had second thoughts about the choice she made for her body, not even “for a millisecond.”

According to The Blast, the prominent feminist leader reiterated her stance in a 2025 interview, noting that she was comfortable with her choice to remain childfree till her death.

She revealed that the experience of taking care of her sick mother while growing up greatly influenced her decision, “even though it’s unrealistic as a measure of having children.”

Shortly after Steinem’s death was announced, tributes flowed in from several prominent figures and fans, including Julianne Moore, Meghan Markle, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Clinton, in her tribute, praised the late journalist for inspiring millions to challenge institutional barriers and fight for equal opportunity for women. She recalled witnessing Steinem’s advocacy for equal educational and professional access for women in the 60s and 70s.

The politician also described Steinem as an “incredibly smart, beautiful, talented woman” who encouraged other women to pursue their dreams without limitation. She also celebrated the late activist’s optimistic personality, which was evident in her activism.

As shared by The Blast, Clinton and Steinem built a friendship over the years through their shared advocacy goals, which became the central point of their years-long relationship.

The politician ended her tribute with words of encouragement to the younger generation, urging young women to draw inspiration from Steinem’s life and legacy.

Just as with Mariska Hargitay’s speech, Gloria Steinem will continue to be a reference for many.

Jennifer Lopez’s Ex-Publicist Explains Risqué Post-Divorce Style

Published

on

Jennifer Lopez may be using fashion to reclaim control of her public image following her divorce from Ben Affleck, according to a former member of her team. A Daily Mail columnist who identified himself as Lopez’s publicist during the original Bennifer breakup in 2004 argued that her recent revealing outfits are not simply about attracting attention. Instead, the writer believes they form part of a calculated effort to shift the conversation away from her romantic history and place the focus firmly back on the JLo brand.

Lopez was recently photographed heading to a workout in Santa Monica while wearing a small sports bra that highlighted her figure. The 57-year-old singer and actress has also been sharing photographs from an Italian trip with her 18-year-old twins, including several images featuring fitted and plunging outfits.

While some observers might view the photographs as simple vacation content or displays of confidence, Daily Mail writer Rob Shuter argued that Lopez has always understood how to use her appearance as part of her celebrity image.

“Jennifer understands the celebrity machine better than almost anyone,” a Hollywood manager allegedly told the columnist when he began working with Lopez. “And she knows her body is one of the most powerful assets of the JLo brand.”

Shuter claimed his time working for Lopez gave him firsthand knowledge of how she approached fame, media attention and difficult moments in her personal life.

Writer Believes Jennifer Lopez Is ‘Taking Back The Narrative’

Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance nearly two decades after ending their first engagement, marrying in Las Vegas in July 2022. Their reunion generated enormous attention and once again made Bennifer a defining part of Lopez’s public narrative. However, their marriage ended in divorce after approximately two years.

Rob Shuter argued that Lopez’s recent fashion choices communicate independence rather than heartbreak. “It would be easy to dismiss all this as vanity, but that would completely miss what makes Jennifer so fascinating,” Shuter stated. “She is taking back the narrative.”

A friend of Lopez reportedly offered a similar interpretation of her post-divorce image. “After Ben, she wanted the story to become JLo again,” the source claimed.

JLo Reportedly Lands Another Lucrative Fashion Deal

The attention surrounding Lopez’s appearance comes as she reportedly prepares for another major professional push. The Daily Mail recently claimed that the entertainer signed a deal worth approximately $20 million to become a new face of Dolce & Gabbana. Neither Lopez nor the fashion house has publicly confirmed the reported value of the agreement.

Lopez already has a visible relationship with the Italian luxury brand. She performed at Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda event in Taormina, Sicily, in July while wearing several custom designs. Dolce & Gabbana described the appearance as a special concert event featuring custom creations from the fashion house.

Jennifer Lopez Has Several Projects In Development

Lopez’s schedule also includes multiple entertainment projects. She is attached to star in Netflix’s upcoming psychological thriller “The Last Mrs. Parrish,” directed by Robert Zemeckis. The movie is based on the bestselling novel by Liv Constantine and follows a con artist who inserts herself into the life of a wealthy married couple.

Lopez is also planning an international tour and a project connected to her recent Las Vegas residency. Her “Up All Night Live in Las Vegas” residency began in December 2025 and continued through March 2026 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The engagement marked her return to the Las Vegas Strip following her previous “All I Have” residency, which ran from 2016 to 2018.

Caesars Entertainment previously reported that the earlier residency included 120 performances and grossed more than $100 million.

Insider Claims The Singer ‘Doesn’t Know How To Stop’

Although Lopez appears to be maintaining control of her career, Shuter questioned whether her relentless work ethic could eventually become a concern. “She doesn’t know how to stop,” an insider close to Lopez claimed. “When Jennifer is happy, she works. When she’s unhappy, she works even harder. Work is where she feels safe because work is something she can control.”

Lopez has previously discussed the physical consequences of pushing herself too hard. In fact, Lopez recalled working for 98 consecutive days during an especially demanding period of her career. She said her body eventually shut down and she was taken to a hospital after losing her vision and becoming unable to move, according to PEOPLE.

Former Publicist Questions Whether JLo Can Let Go

Shuter ultimately suggested that Lopez’s packed schedule and polished public appearances could represent her way of managing circumstances she cannot control. He pointed to her divorce, her children preparing for college, and the realities of aging as major life changes that cannot be handled like a movie release, concert tour, or advertising campaign.

In his view, Lopez’s recent photographs are less about revealing clothing and more about proving she remains firmly in charge of her life. However, he questioned whether continuing to work, perform, and secure major deals is the only way for the entertainer to demonstrate her strength.

Lopez has not responded publicly to the columnist’s interpretation of her recent appearances or his concerns about her workload.

Erika Kirk Recalls Charlie’s Death, Grief Journey in Op-Ed

Published

on

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Erika Kirk opened up about the raw emotions she felt in those first few hours after learning husband Charlie Kirk died.

“It’s September 11, 2025 — the day after my husband, Charlie Kirk, was shot and killed. The past 24 hours feel like a fever dream as I land in Phoenix from Utah and return home,” Erika, 37, wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times published on Monday, September 7. “I get out of the car, and my kids run into my arms. They have no idea where I was or what I was doing. They care only that I am home.”

Last year, Charlie died at age 31 after being shot in the neck during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University. He was survived by Erika and their two children.

“As I walk to the front door, there’s a tightening in my chest I don’t recognize. Is this what grief feels like?” she continued. “I sit on the couch where Charlie sat two nights ago watching the Cubs with our kids. I feel a wave building inside me, and I know it’s about to crash.”

Erika confessed she turned to Vice President JD Vance’s wife, Usha Vance, for solace at the time.

“As she held my hand, she said: ‘You know when you’re on an airplane with your kids, and you’re going to land in 15 minutes, but the kids are going crazy, screaming, throwing things, and then the plane lands, and the kids relax, and everything is fine again? That’s how it will be. Just get through the next 15 minutes,’” she recalled of the second lady’s advice. “Her words are seared into my heart.”

The couple had been married since 2021, tying the knot in Scottsdale, Arizona, in front of their closest friends and family in an intimate ceremony.

In the wake of Charlie’s death, Erika stepped up as the new CEO of Turning Point USA and vowed to carry on his organization’s mission.

While detailing her ongoing journey with grief, Erika shared that she “worked up the courage” to go around her and Charlie’s home and glanced at her late husband’s things.

“I stood in the doorway of our bedroom. I turned on the light and walked toward his side of the bed. I stared at his pillow and wondered how long a person’s scent can last in sheets,” she penned. “I stood there in silence, replaying all of the completely ordinary mornings we woke up there together. I wasn’t ready to be there, so I turned off the light and crawled into bed with my 3-year-old daughter. Just get through the next 15 minutes.”

Erika admitted that she “avoided” her bedroom “for months” as she coped with her grief. She also struggled during the first holidays and milestones her family celebrated without Charlie.

Erika Kirk Marks 5th Wedding Anniversary With Late Husband Charlie Kirk: 'Love of My Life'

Erika Kirk shared an emotional tribute to late husband Charlie Kirk on what would have been their fifth wedding anniversary. “Even though our kids won’t see our love ‘grow old together’ from an earthly stand point; they’ll see it from a Heavenly one,” Erika, 37, wrote via X on Friday, May 8. “And I’ll tell […]

“Grief is strange. Time continues even when every part of you wants it to pause or, better yet, rewind,” she wrote. “But the people we love who have passed on would not want us to spend the rest of our lives trying to rewind. At first, I needed to survive the next 15 minutes. Over time, I’ve realized that Charlie would want me to live them.”

Erika added that she felt “blessed” to be Charlie’s wife during their four years of marriage.

“To the world, he was Charlie Kirk. But to me, he was the love of my life. To our children, he was the center of their world,” she reflected. “When you lose someone you love, it’s easy to struggle to understand God’s plan. One of the hardest tests of our faith occurs when bad things happen. True faith means accepting that we won’t get every answer and finding peace in that.”

Electric Kiss Premiere at 79th Festival de Cannes - Cannes, France

Jane Fonda has opened up about her longing to return to the screen, admitting she misses it and revealing she’s working on a new project.

She made the candid remark at the 17th annual DVF Awards on Thursday night, where she drew attention for slamming “tech bros” and oligarchs obsessed with artificial intelligence and physical immortality.

What didn’t sit right with her in particular is how “they want to live forever” but are “killing others” and making robots their babies, rallying attendees to vehemently push back.

After a successful Hollywood career spanning more than six decades, Jane Fonda has said she misses Hollywood. She made the candid remark at the 17th annual DVF Awards during the Venice Film Festival on Thursday night, where she also caught attention for several bold statements.

The Oscar winner, who has toned down her screen career to focus on her activism, also teased that she’s currently working on a film project and could make a return to acting soon.

“After five years of not working as an actor, I have to confess, much as I love the work that I do with my comrades in the movement, I miss the process of becoming somebody else,” she said, per The Hollywood Reporter. “It is such a thrilling process. I love it. I miss it.”

The “9 to 5” actress revealed that she’s developing an adaptation of the bestselling novel The Correspondent by Virginia Evans.

“I’m doing it for Lionsgate with the film company called Hidden Pictures. We have a good first draft, and we’re looking for a director,” she teased.

This isn’t Fonda’s first stint in Hollywood retirement. After marrying her now-ex-husband Ted Turner in 1991, she announced her retirement but returned more than a decade later.

In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Klute actress explained that she didn’t think she’d come back from retirement because she thought her marriage to Turner would last forever.

“I left for 15 years, when I married Ted Turner, and I did not think I was gonna come back, ’cause when I married him, I thought it’d be forever,” she said at the time.

However, in an interview with Vogue last year, she explained that her marriage to Turner alone wasn’t the reason she pulled the plug, but because she “wasn’t having fun anymore.”

“I quit the business not just because I married Ted but because I wasn’t having fun anymore,” she told the news outlet. “I thought I was never gonna act again because I really didn’t miss it.”

Elsewhere in her appearance at the DVF Awards ceremony, Fonda slammed Silicon Valley’s elite and corporate oligarchs who would seemingly stop at nothing in trying to ensure they live forever.

The 88-year-old activist addressed pressing socio-political concerns, taking direct aim at “tech bros, oligarchs and billionaires” who she argues do not want to live by the same rules guiding every other person.

“They want to live forever, while they’re killing the rest of us,” she said. “There are two things: Most of these guys, these tech bros and these oligarchs and billionaires, they feel that the laws that the rest of us live by don’t matter to them, including the laws of physics. Natural laws. They’re going to live forever.”

The Barbarella actress then warned about the societal impacts of unchecked artificial intelligence and extreme wealth concentration, claiming that tech leaders are pursuing uncanny technological replacements for human connections.

“The other [thing] is that because these guys can’t have babies, they’ll create robots,” she said. “That’ll be their babies, and they’ll just turn the rest of us into tradwives, who have a lot of babies too. Then they’ll take away the vote. Can you believe it? And we’re not going to stand for it.”

Fonda was part of an elite group of women who were honored at the event, which spotlights “extraordinary women” and changemakers committed to making the world a better place.

The list of honorees also included the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley; Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Lynsey Addario; Food4Education founder and CEO Wawira Njiru; and author Gisèle Pelicot.

Jane Fonda Slams Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery Merger

She went further to touch on some controversial topics, including the proposed merger between Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Discovery.

The Grace and Frankie alum slammed the proposed deal, highlighting how it’s detrimental to the continuity of many workers in the entertainment industry.

“They’re carrying so much debt. The Ellisons are carrying so much debt, and it’s being postponed now, so that they have to pay these huge sums,” she said.

“The merger would be terrible for consumers,” Fonda continued. “Prices would go up. Thousands and thousands of people would lose their jobs, and as creatives, the fewer studios there are, the fewer places we can take our products. We lose bargaining power. Unions lose their power.”

DWTS Season 35 Rocked By Claims Of An ‘Unfair’ Advantage

Published

on

Carrie Ann Inaba at Fourth Annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards

Dancing with the Stars” has not even premiered its milestone 35th season, yet the competition is already facing questions about fairness.

The newly announced cast includes several celebrities with dance backgrounds, performance training, and close ties to people connected to the show, fueling debate both on and off camera.

While some contestants insist prior experience does not guarantee success in the ballroom, reports suggest whispers are already spreading among cast members worried that the playing field may not be as level as it appears.

One of the biggest talking points surrounding the new season of “DWTS” is the number of contestants who appear to have a head start before stepping onto the ballroom floor.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source revealed, “The cast is definitely whispering about how unfair some of the casting is, especially with Jenna being a former dancer and others having dance experience.”

While Jenna Dewan has become the face of the debate, she is hardly the only contestant drawing attention.

The cast also includes “Save the Last Dance” actress Julia Stiles, former “Bachelor” star Tyler Cameron, who previously appeared on “The Real Dirty Dancing,” and “Glee” alum Harry Shum Jr., who toured professionally as a dancer before becoming an actor.

Still, much of the criticism has landed on Dewan because dance was her profession long before Hollywood came calling. The actress spent years performing alongside stars including Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera, Pink, and Missy Elliott before landing her breakout role in “Step Up.”

“Everyone thinks Jenna Dewan has a very unfair advantage because she is a professional dancer. That is how she began her career,” another source said.

The insider added, “It’s like, ‘Duh, we all know she’s going to win.’”

Dewan has pushed back against that narrative, insisting ballroom dancing is a completely different challenge. “I do not know how to ballroom dance. Let’s be clear. It’s two different languages,” she said.

She added, “There’s parts of my dance training that’s helpful, obviously. I’ve learned choreography, I can perform, but there is a certain sense of unlearning for me.”

‘DWTS’ Connections Behind The Scenes Are Raising Even More Questions

The concerns reportedly go beyond dance ability. According to insiders, some contestants are paying close attention to existing relationships within the “DWTS” family.

One source claimed Dewan’s friendship with judge Derek Hough has become a topic of discussion among competitors.

“She is more or less besties with Derek,” the insider said, pointing to their work together on “World of Dance” and ABC’s “Step Into…The Movies.”

Dewan is not the only contestant whose connections have reportedly raised eyebrows. Sources also pointed to Tatyana Ali’s longtime friendship with co-host Alfonso Ribeiro, forged during their years playing siblings on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

“There are issues with Tatyana [Ali] being on the show,” one source claimed, further noting, “She is very close to the show’s co-host Alfonso Ribeiro because they were co-stars and played siblings in The Fresh Prince, so there is a massive bond there.”

The insider added, “They can compare notes and he can talk her up. Having that connection will help her.”

‘DWTS’ Fan-Favorites Could End Up Being The Season’s Biggest Advantage

While dance experience and industry relationships have generated plenty of discussion, some insiders believe audience perception may ultimately matter more than either.

According to one source, there has already been “some eyerolling” over contestants expected to become instant fan favorites once the season begins.

Among those frequently mentioned are “Summer House” star Ciara Miller, whose recent reality-TV storyline generated widespread sympathy, and Maura Higgins, who also built significant public support after her run on “The Traitors.”

The source additionally highlighted Paralympic gold medalist Ezra Frech and Tyler Cameron, whom one insider described as “the babe this season.”

Meanwhile, Dewan enters the competition alongside three-time Mirrorball champion Val Chmerkovskiy, creating even more expectations.

A source claimed that “Val is feeling a lot of pressure to showcase Jenna’s skills” and added, “He’s always set on winning but, this season, he believes he has a chance again with Jenna as his partner. He’s not going to go easy on her, that’s for sure.”

Carrie Ann Inaba Addresses ‘DWTS’ Casting Backlash

The debate over fairness in “Dancing with the Stars” Season 35 has become so loud that one of the show’s judges is now weighing in.

After concerns surfaced that contestants with dance experience might have an edge over the rest of the cast, Carrie Ann Inaba addressed the controversy directly and argued that viewers might be oversimplifying what it takes to succeed in ballroom competition.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Inaba explained that ballroom dancing required competitors to essentially retrain their bodies, even if they had spent years dancing professionally.

“What’s difficult – and I don’t think people realize this – is when you go from being a jazz dancer or a hip-hop dancer or all the other forms of dancing [to ballroom], the weight placement is so different,” she said.

She continued, “It’s weird because your body has memory, so it remembers how to dance, and it thinks it already knows how to do these moves, but it doesn’t.”

According to Inaba, the challenge is often unlearning years of technique. In her words, “It takes a lot of time to un-train the body to put your weight on the front more over your toes instead of back and down and grounded.” She then delivered her clearest response to critics, noting, “It’s not as easy as people think.”

Giada De Laurentiis Suffers Painful ‘DWTS’ Setback

While much of the attention surrounding Season 35 has focused on casting controversies, Giada De Laurentiis is learning that the competition also comes with physical challenges.

In an Instagram post, the celebrity chef revealed that rehearsals had already left her with a painful injury. In the video, De Laurentiis disclosed that she had hurt her foot while preparing for her ballroom debut with professional partner Alan Bersten.

“So I had a great day at rehearsals today, but sadly, I busted my toe,” she said before showing viewers the damage. Pointing to the injury, she explained, “You can see, it’s quite purple, and it wraps all the way around.”

The Food Network star then admitted she feared the injury could get worse, saying, “I’m for sure gonna lose my toenail, I think.” She added, “Anyway, I don’t know. It hurts. But we’ll figure it out tomorrow. Part of the game.”

Despite the setback, De Laurentiis appeared determined to push forward. She captioned the post, “You know what they say… no pain, no gain.”

The injury came after De Laurentiis previously admitted that preparing for the competition had been far more demanding than she expected, revealing that rehearsals had introduced her to muscles she didn’t even know she had.

‘Charmed’ Alum Holly Marie Combs Lost Roles Over Pregnancy

Published

Holly Marie Combs

Holly Marie Combs is among the most iconic actresses of late-90s/ early 00s television. This is thanks to her several-season run on “Charmed.” Recently, the 52-year-old opened up about her career, revealing that she lost out on multiple roles in Hollywood due to pregnancy, with one instance being lawsuit-worthy.

Combs opened up about her career and how getting pregnant led to her losing out on multiple roles during a recent episode of her “House of Halliwell” podcast. However, she began by discussing how much of her young life was devoted to appearing on screen.

According to her, “I think I started acting when I was 10, and I sort of gave myself this strange timeline where I knew I had dedicated everything up until I was 29, 30, to my career. Literally everything. All of my energies, most of them/”

Combs added, “There wasn’t some guy ruining my life.” After that, the actress opened up about her approach to family planning, revealing that she had saved this goal for later.

She stated, “I sort of gave myself this window of 30 to 35 to have children… and I was able to have three children within this window. So, I was quite busy. But thankfully, I was 29, turning 30, and I was on ‘Charmed,’ and they couldn’t get rid of me at that point.”

For context, Combs and her ex-husband, David Donoho, had three sons between 2004 and 2009, with the youngest being 17. “Charmed” ended on The WB in 2006.

Combs continued discussing her career as an actress, revealing that there were times when she was up for roles but was passed over because she was pregnant. She said bluntly, “I have had shows say no to me because I was pregnant,” before vowing not to name which series she’d been in consideration for.

However, she went on to highlight one instance where “there could’ve been a lawsuit because they chose a pilot that didn’t have a pregnant lead, basically.”

The “Charmed” alum explained, “It was between the two. And I came up with a very complicated pregnancy; it was actually with [my son] Kelley, and they were like, ‘Yeah, no, we’re going to go with this one.’ And I was like, ‘Seriously?’”

In closing out this discussion from her perspective, Combs shared that she felt supported during her pregnancy and while appearing on “Charmed.” She said, “The flip side of that was ‘Charmed.’ They welcomed it because they had to, essentially.”

The TV star continued, “But I worked until I was, basically, 10 months pregnant, and I came back when Finley was barely 3 months old. And he was basically raised on the set for two years.”

Nowadays, Combs considers Washington State home after she and her husband, Mike Ryan, relocated from Bell Canyon, California, to Friday Harbor in 2021. Currently, she considers herself to be semi-retired from acting, as she owns and operates a barbecue restaurant, Cattle Point BBQ.

The former “Charmed” star discussed her retirement from acting in an August 2026 episode of her “House of Halliwell” podcast, revealing that her family life played a part in her decision. However, she does still miss the craft from time to time.

She stated, “I miss it occasionally because, like you said, there’s those moments when you’re involved, and you’re acting and you’re working that are just, I think it’s like being present.” Additionally, she stated that she’s not against making a return to the screen once her kids are older.

Several years before stepping away from acting, Combs opened up about balancing motherhood and acting in an interview with PEOPLE. She said at the time, “You never feel like you’re 100 percent at either one. I don’t ever feel like I’m the best actress I can be or the best mother I can be.”

Combs continued, “My husband is very supportive, he wants me to work, but understands I also want to be with the kids.”

Regarding potentially leaving acting, she stated, “I would consider leaving acting for motherhood; I mean, we all want to be financially secure and want our children to be secure forever. But life passes you by, and it’s really hard, at ages 1 and 4, to pick them up and bring them on location with me.”

The Actress Is Keeping Shannen Doherty’s Legacy Alive

Combs’ fellow “Charmed” star, Shannen Doherty, passed away in July 2024 following a battle with metastatic breast cancer. Since her passing, Combs has made multiple tributes to her late costar and friend, both on her podcast and on social media.

One of the most recent tributes came in July 2025 when she took to Instagram to remember the anniversary of Doherty’s passing. She wrote, “It’s been a year, but it’s been a minute for me. You still light the way for so many. And you are missed by so many. Thank you to everyone who did a #shandosunday post or prayer or just a passing thought. She would be so pleased. 1018”

CT’s Wife Slams Him Amid New Romance With Phaedra Parks

Published

Alan Cumming on a red carpet

Chris “CT” Tamburello‘s estranged wife, Catalina White, is slamming the veteran reality star over their divorce amid his new relationship with Phaedra Parks. In a new statement, White alleged that Tamburello is avoiding officially ending their marriage. Her statement comes just days after Parks admitted she’d coupled up with the 46-year-old two years after their run on Peacock’s “The Traitors.”

Speaking with TMZ, White said Tamburello, who rose to fame in 2003 on “The Real World: Paris” and later became a mainstay on MTV’s “The Challenge,” has been avoiding moving forward with their divorce amid his new relationship with Parks.

“I genuinely wish Chris well in whatever relationship or career he chooses to pursue. I’m not interested in commenting on whether his new relationship is real, for publicity, or anything in between,” said White. “What I would like is for him to put the same energy into ending our marriage that he’s putting into publicly promoting his new relationship.”

White Filed For Divorce From CT In January 2026

White filed for divorce in January 2026 after less than two years of marriage, according to another report from TMZ. White, who reportedly gained her following from promoting herself on a subscription-based website, said that her marriage to Tamburello was “irretrievably broken.”

In September 2026, White claimed she withdrew her divorce petition after feeling forced by Tamburello, only for the “Challenge” OG to file his own and allegedly stall the process.

“Since then, I’ve been trying to finalize this divorce,” White stated. “My counsel has made repeated efforts to move things forward as quickly as possible, and we continue to wait for his cooperation.”

White Says She Doesn’t Want Money From Chris “CT” Tamburello

White is hoping to resolve her personal issues with Tamburello sooner rather than later. She also shot back at haters and said she isn’t interested in taking any of Tamburello’s money.

“I do not, and never did, need or want money from this man,” she said. “I’m not asking for anything from him other than his cooperation in finalizing our divorce.”

She added, “If Chris is ready to move on publicly, he should be ready to move on too legally. Sign the papers!”

White echoed that message in an Instagram post confirming Tamburello’s new romance with Parks, adding clapping emojis to emphasize her point.

Phaedra Parks Confirms Her Romantic Connection With Chris “CT” Tamburello

White’s statement about Tamburello comes days after Parks confirmed to Jeff Lewis that her relationship with the MTV veteran was romantic. She told the “Still Flipping Out” star that she was attending the Creative Emmys with Tamburello as his date.

The pair teased their connection a month earlier, according to Complex, when Tamburello asked his Instagram followers to put in “a good word” for him with Parks. “Baby, I’m already yours,” she replied.

While their connection may catch some people by surprise, Parks and Tamburello first turned heads in January 2024 when their connection and flirty interactions became a major storyline in season 2 of “The Traitors.”

While the Bravoverse waits for Parks and Tamburello’s “Traitors” co-stars to react to the news, one person from the fan-favorite reality show commented on their connection back in 2024.

Alan Cumming, host of the Emmy Award-winning competition series, spoke with PEOPLE and said that he didn’t believe there was “much of a chance” for Parks and Tamburello.

“These people are put into this incredibly emotional and mind-screwy situation, and they’re in this bubble. They don’t have really access to the outside world,” he said. “Of course they’re going to become really emotionally involved with each other.”

Apple TV’s ‘Slow Horses’ Season 6 Is Even Twistier and More Unpredictable Than Ever

Published

on

Gary Oldman looking worried in his customary tie and jacket in Slow Horses.

Streaming television has been facing a bit of an uphill battle in recent years when it comes to a consistent release strategy. Some of the most significant delays have been a consequence of unforeseen factors — the COVID-19 pandemic, the SAG-AFTRA strike — while others are a result of the more extensive post-production and VFX work required to deliver a stunning finished product onscreen. HBO’s medical drama The Pitt has recently been making headlines for the creative team’s commitment to delivering a new season every year like clockwork, but it’s not the only show that sits in stark contrast to the bulk of prestige TV as far as its release schedule is concerned.

Comparing The Pitt to a show like Slow Horses may be like comparing apples to oranges, especially since every season of the Apple TV spy thriller only clocks in at six episodes next to The Pitt‘s 15, but Slow Horses has followed its own impressively consistent filming schedule since its initial premiere in 2022. Making two seasons back-to-back — with the show’s writers working on scripts for the upcoming season while the current crop of episodes is being filmed — has allowed Apple TV to release five installments adapted from author Mick Herron‘s novels over three years. It’s a strategy that’s bound to pay off when Slow Horses‘ sixth season finally releases next week, building to more than one twisty surprise that will no doubt have viewers grateful they won’t have to wait long for the already confirmed Season 7.

What Is ‘Slow Horses’ Season 6 About?

It’s another seemingly ordinary week at Slough House — except for the fact that the agents haven’t yet been paid. What starts as a concern floated to their astute yet flatulent leader, Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman), quickly leads to the realization that the Slow Horses haven’t gotten their paychecks because they’ve been deleted from MI5’s internal records. Newly promoted First Desk Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas) claims to know nothing of the incident, but Lamb, River Cartwright (Jack Lowden), and the rest of the Slow Horses become increasingly convinced there’s more going on that’s frustratingly above their pay grade. That’s not the only inconvenience the team has to deal with, and it doesn’t take long for Lamb to learn that other past members of Slough House are starting to turn up dead.

Every event appears to be a tragic accident, but not all the evidence left behind truly adds up. As the body count continues to rise, courtesy of a pair of mysterious assassins (Andor‘s Kyle Soller and The Witcher‘s MyAnna Buring), the question becomes: who’s trying to take down the Slow Horses for good, and why? This new threat lurking in the shadows brings several of Lamb’s former “joes” back into the fold for their own protection, including Louisa Guy (Rosalind Eleazar), who’s none too happy to return to the fray despite reuniting with her old Slough House colleagues, and Sidonie “Sid” Baker (Olivia Cooke), whose reappearance after being publicly declared dead back in Season 1 upends the story in more ways than one.

They’re not the only familiar faces who pop back up; it’s been a full season since River’s dear old dad, brutal mercenary Frank Harkness (Hugo Weaving), cut a deal with MI5 to walk free, but now he’s returned with particularly nefarious intentions. Meanwhile, inside MI5, Taverner faces both increased scrutiny around her decision-making as First Desk and the parties she’s inadvertently gotten the agency into bed with — including the eternally slimy Peter Judd (Samuel West), who seeks to undermine her authority at every turn, and Damien Cantor (Peter Lloyd), who runs a radical news organization and has every intention of publicly pulling back the curtain on MI5’s covert activities overseas.

‘Slow Horses’ Season 6 Is a Great Blend of Old and New Mysteries

Season 6 admittedly represents a shift for Slow Horses in more than one sense. Not only has Gaby Chiappe (The Level) taken over as head writer from original showrunner Will Smith, but this season is also the first to adapt two of Herron’s books, Joe Country and Slough House, rather than simply one. It’s a combination that ultimately makes sense, given that Season 6 feels like the most serialized installment of Slow Horses so far, one that is inextricably connected to some of the show’s biggest moments to date. While that means viewers will definitely have to play catch-up on previous seasons rather than trying to jump in from a fresh starting point, it’s a narrative choice that rewards the fans who have been devoted to the series since the very beginning.

Season 6’s decision to include both old and new storylines — and the unexpected connective tissue between them — also allows the characters we’ve been following to develop in welcome ways. In the wake of a very personal loss, River is more unmoored than he’s ever been, but the return of more than one significant figure from his past forces him to confront feelings he’s kept buried. Lowden is as terrific as ever to watch, deftly navigating the character’s more emotional moments as well as the occasional opportunity for comedy and cementing River Cartwright as one of his best-ever roles. His chemistry with Cooke also remains as delightful as it was back in the first season, and the two slide back into their characters’ old rapport without missing a beat.

In fact, Season 6’s resurrection of past fan-favorites is one of the reasons it’s both thrilling and surprisingly comforting to watch. Despite the overall premise putting our beloved Slow Horses in increased danger, there’s safety in numbers, and forcing all of them into close proximity allows for entertaining pairings that maintain the show’s pitch-perfect blend of comedy and drama. On the heels of their relatively disastrous team-up last season, River and the eternally taciturn J.K. Coe (Tom Brooke) are partnered up to investigate the truth once again, while Louisa and Shirley Dander (Aimee-Ffion Edwards) have some unresolved tension that needs to be addressed. Roddy Ho (Christopher Chung), on the other hand, is both in the ideal position to thoroughly irritate the current object of his affection, Emma Flyte (Ruth Bradley), and in the less-than-ideal position of looking after Reece Nesmith (Lenny Rush), an obstinate teen who finds himself needing Slough House’s protection, too. When the characters all descend on quite possibly the last place you’d expect them to, the results are as expectedly hilarious as they are full of shocking surprises, with every moment anchored by the characters we’ve come to know and love over the past five seasons.

‘Slow Horses’ Season 6 Takes the Show’s Biggest Swings Yet

Given that certain plot details, like familiar faces, a rising body count, and intensifying threats, have already been revealed, the possibilities of what Slow Horses Season 6 could be keeping closer to the vest were rendered even more compelling. Some of the show’s longest-kept secrets are finally brought to light, not just for the audience, but for the characters themselves; Catherine Standish (Saskia Reeves) is forced to reckon with a professional revelation that leaves her quietly struggling with her sobriety in the background of even more intense developments, and Sid’s original alliance with Taverner now sits on a much shakier foundation than it did before. Oh, and if you thought River’s relationship with Harkness would become any less complicated now that their blood ties have been revealed, think again. That unpredictability doesn’t just follow a handful of characters; it looms over every single potential twist across the six episodes provided for review.

Season 6 ultimately represents the biggest turning point for Apple TV’s longest-running spy thriller, not because of its seamless pairing of past and present, but because of what it intriguingly sets up for Slow Horses‘ next chapter. Gone is the easily resolved mystery with every lingering question irrefutably answered; in its place is a deceptively quiet sequence that culminates in a way that almost no one will see coming. What it signals for the series moving forward is a much more interesting prospect, one that doesn’t necessarily set up a definitive ending just yet but certainly promises a different future than what viewers are used to. The confirmation of Season 7 will definitely be reassuring by the time the end credits roll on the finale, but Season 6 is the firmest evidence that Slow Horses is no longer planning to rest on its laurels.

Slow Horses Season 6 premieres September 16 on Apple TV.

Taylor Swift enjoyed a night out with husband Travis Kelce in style.

The newlyweds stepped out in New York City for dinner at Ambassadors Clubhouse on Sunday, September 6, in photos obtained by Page Six.

Swift, 36, dazzled in a silky brown metallic Stella McCartney halter dress ($2,100). The maxi-dress had a diagonal brown and Lurex stripe pattern and a gold chain neck. She paired the dress with matching strappy heels, a brown purse from the designer ($1,815) and her opal ring and bracelet set that Kelce, 36, gifted her last Christmas.

The “Style” singer, 36, stepped out with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 36, to attend a private event in Bushwick, Brooklyn on Saturday, May 16, per a viral social media video. Swift and Kelce’s outing comes two months after they tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in July. The couple exchanged vows in front of nearly 1,000 of their closest friends and family. The ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler while Taylor and Travis’ siblings, Austin Swift and Jason Kelce, served as their Man of Honor and Best Man, respectively.

“Taylor was emotional while reciting her vows but kept her composure,” an insider told Us about the nuptials. “You could tell she put a lot of work and time into writing her vows. Travis teared up more than Taylor. They shared very personal details and anecdotes that some guests had never even heard before.”

Earlier this month, Travis gushed about his wedding day during an episode of his and brother Jason’s “New Heights” podcast.

“At this point, we’re what, over a month out? It’s been so much fun,” Travis said. “First of all, the night was a night we’ll never forget. Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, you know, from the vows to just seeing everyone to how much fun we had throughout the entire evening, and hearing that kind of be relayed through everybody’s stories of the night.”

Travis referred to the evening as a “magical night” and expressed his gratitude to MSG for making his and Swift’s dream wedding come true.

“Thank you [to] everyone at MSG that allowed us to do this,” he shared. “We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions. We needed it to be a private feel. And MSG went above and beyond to give us that. I can’t thank everybody enough that showed up but also that helped put the show on, and it was a very magical, magical night.”

Kylie Jenner Gives Rare Look Inside $15M ‘Dream Home’

Published

Kylie Jenner at Marty Supreme Los Angeles Premiere

Kylie Jenner has finally given fans a closer look at the sprawling California estate she’s spent about six years building. The beauty mogul purchased the five-acre property in 2020 for $15 million, but construction on her Italian-inspired dream home is still underway. Jenner documented her latest visit to the site in a six-minute YouTube video, revealing the progress made and some of the deeply personal details she has incorporated into the design.

Jenner began the video by acknowledging just how long she has been working on the custom estate. “I’m going to go to my construction site. I have been building a house for like six years. I bought the property in 2020,” she told her 12.1 million YouTube subscribers.

The reality star admitted she had initially planned to keep the project private. However, extensive coverage of the construction apparently persuaded her to offer followers an authorized look.

She described the property as “my beautiful dream Italian home” and explained that she changed her mind about documenting it because “it’s kind of already all over the internet anyway.”

Although some reports have described the property as being in Calabasas, public reporting places the five-acre lot in nearby Hidden Hills, an exclusive gated community popular among celebrities. Architectural Digest reported in 2020 that Jenner paid $15 million in cash for the undeveloped parcel. The land had previously belonged to Miley Cyrus, but Cyrus sold it to another owner in 2018, before Jenner purchased it.

The Italian-Inspired Estate Features Reclaimed Materials

Jenner showed viewers several design elements for the property, including reclaimed cobblestone at the entrance. Olive trees and lavender line the driveway, helping create the rustic Italian aesthetic she envisioned. The Kylie Cosmetics founder also revealed that she hired landscape designer Jim Hyatt, who is known for his work at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara.

Inside, the mansion includes reclaimed wood floors, stone flooring, wooden kitchen cabinetry, and an old brick fireplace. Jenner also displayed marble finishes in one guest bathroom and vintage tiles in another suite.

The estate is not yet finished, with several design decisions still waiting for Jenner’s approval. During the video, she considered different paint colors as she walked through the construction site.

Jenner explained that she had completed a day of meetings around 3 p.m. before traveling to the property to handle additional “approvals.”

Some of the olive trees on the grounds came from Kylie’s older sister, Kendall Jenner. According to the entrepreneur, Kendall was completing construction at one of her own properties and no longer needed several young olive trees. “Not only are they so beautiful, it reminds me of my sister,” Kylie said.

Kylie has also shared occasional previews of the construction process on social media. In February, she posted footage of an unfinished utility space and wrote, “Yummy laundry room happening.”

While the six-year timeline may appear unusually long, the property is far more ambitious than a conventional residential build. Plans reported by Architectural Digest included an approximately 18,000-square-foot main residence, a separate guesthouse, a barn, a sports court, a swimming pool and a garage capable of accommodating 12 vehicles.

Jenner’s vision extends well beyond the mansion itself. The outdoor area is expected to include a rose garden, a gravel sports court, and a dining space featuring a fountain and pizza oven.

The video did not disclose a firm completion date.

Earlier this year, Jenner listed two Los Angeles properties while continuing work on the Hidden Hills estate. Her property investments have been funded partly by the success of Kylie Cosmetics, which she launched as a teenager.

The brand quickly became a major force in the beauty industry and helped Jenner build a business identity outside her family’s reality television empire.
