‘Mob Wives’ Reboot In The Works Without One OG Cast Member
It took ten years for VH1’s “Mob Wives” series to spark reboot rumors, but one OG cast member isn’t interested!
The show, which spawned several spin-offs, followed the lives of several women with ties to the Italian-American Mafia.
“Mob Wives” ran for six seasons, featuring stars like Renee Graziano, Drita D’Avanzo, and the late Angela Raiola, who died of cancer complications in 2016.

‘Mob Wives’ Reboot Won’t Feature One Of Its Breakout Stars
According to new reports, the popularity of the “mob wife aesthetic” trend has networks gearing up to reboot the VH1 show. Sources confirmed that Renee Graziano is set to star in the new show, while other OG cast members may make guest appearances.
The cast lineup hasn’t been confirmed; however, Renee’s former pal and co-star, Drita D’Avanzo, is sure Renee won’t be participating in a reboot of “Mob Wives.” She shared her disinterest with TMZ, explaining that she had her hands full with other projects, like “House of Villains” season 3.

Renee Graziano Slams’ Members Only: Palm Beach’ Show Comparison
Before the reboot update, Renee shut down comparisons between “Members Only: Palm Beach” and “Mob Wives.” The outlet reported that she argued there were no similarities between her OG series and the rising show, since none of the women involved had ties to the mob.
Renee’s words proved that she still had a deep love for the VH1 show, with her recent project still centered around the mob. The show “Married by the Mob” will feature an immersive dining experience in which guests pretend to be at a mob wedding.
The upcoming show, which is a collaborative effort between the Graziano sisters, comes nearly three years after Renee experienced a near-fatal overdose. At the time, her former pal addressed the incident in an interview, revealing there was still bad blood between them.

Drita D’Avanzo Remained Unmoving In Her Dislike For Her Former Pal
While speaking to Us Weekly in March 2024, D’Avanzo addressed Renee’s near-fatal overdose. The incident occurred in September 2023, prompting the reality TV star to seek help in overcoming her addiction.
“I don’t like her. However, in capitals, I wish her to find health and peace of mind and don’t wish nothing bad on her,” D’Avanzo said. Although she remained unmoving in her dislike for Renee, she believed the latter deserved all the support she could get.
As for why her reaction to Renee’s situation came late, D’Avanzo confessed that she wasn’t aware of the near-fatal overdose until the interview. She explained that she and Renee hadn’t been in touch since the VH1 series ended, adding, “Do I like the motherf-cker? Hell no.”

The Reality TV Star Reflected On The Life-Threatening Incident
D’Avanzo’s reaction to Renee’s near-fatal overdose followed the latter’s recollection about the terrifying incident. She opened up about what happened on a March 2024 episode of Bunnie XO’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast, claiming she actually died.
According to Renee, she “couldn’t come up for air” after accidentally overdosing on fentanyl. “I just lost, like, my sh–t, man,” she continued, explaining that the dealer had given her fentanyl on September 18, 2023, instead of the undisclosed drug she wanted.
“I died in a restaurant in Florida. I was dead, intubated for three days. No one in my family came to the hospital,” Renee recalled. She added that she “spent nine days” at the hospital learning to walk again and that she decided to get clean.
Renee Graziano Entered Rehab After Near-Fatal Overdose
Months before Renee reflected on her accidental fentanyl overdose, The Blast reported in November 2023 that her manager, Chris Giovanni, revealed she had entered a rehabilitation program to overcome her addiction.
Giovanni explained that he learned about the near-fatal overdose after Renee called him from the rehab facility. He noted that their communications had been sporadic and brief since September 2023 until she contacted him to share her struggles.
As for what triggered the incident, Giovanni explained that Renee had turned to drugs to escape the grief of losing her father in 2019. She first sparked concern in January 2022 when she was arrested for driving while impaired and crashing her car into a parked SUV.
