Paris Jackson Has Savage Reply To ‘Dirty’ Tattoo Critic

Published

on

Paris Jackson leaving her hotel during Paris Fashion Week

Paris Jackson has made it clear that unsolicited opinions about her appearance are unlikely to make her rethink the choices that define her.

The “Hit Your Knees” singer recently faced criticism over her extensive tattoo collection after an outlet shared an Instagram post about paris meeting her mother for the first time.

Rather than ignore the remark, Paris responded with a sharp joke that turned the criticism back on the person who made it.

The exchange began after an E! News Instagram post featured a chakra-inspired tattoo running down the center of Paris Jackson’s chest.

One commenter complimented her appearance but then criticized her tattoos, writing, “She is gorgeous, but those tattoos just make her look dirty and takes away from her look.”

Paris did not appear interested in defending her choices or explaining herself. Instead, she answered with a deliberately cheeky response, writing, “Oh no what ever will i do (i’m dirty even without the tattoos).”

The commenter continued the criticism, arguing that Paris had diminished her appearance by getting tattoos.

“@parisjackson like I said your gorgeous and it takes away. Why did you mess with perfection, you don’t mark up something perfect,” the person replied.

Paris’s response fits with the attitude she has previously shared about her collection. She has accumulated more than 80 tattoos, many of which carry personal meaning, while others appear to have simply reflected an impulse or creative decision at the time.

Paris’s Tattoos Tell A Much Bigger Story

Paris Jackson has previously opened up about how naturally tattoos became part of her life. In an August 2022 interview with PEOPLE, she revealed that her first tattoo was an impromptu alien design.

“It’s on my boob, it’s an alien,” she said, explaining that she got it spontaneously when she was younger. “I just wanted it — it’s kind of how they all are,” Paris said of her tattoos, adding, “I’ve done a few of my own,” the 28-year-old added.

Her chest tattoo is among her most recognizable pieces. Paris revealed the intricate chakra-inspired design in 2017 after having it inked down the center of her chest. The design represents energy points and became another distinctive part of her appearance.

However, some of Paris’s tattoos carry significance beyond aesthetics. In June 2017, she had “Applehead” tattooed in cursive across her left foot, a term of endearment associated with her late father, Michael Jackson.

Sharing the tattoo at the time, she wrote, “With every step I take, you lift my foot and guide me forward,” adding, “Love you.”

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the actress continued experimenting with tattoos, posting an Instagram photo of herself working on a squiggle-shaped design below her right pinky toe and later sharing a video of the freshly inked piece on her Instagram Stories.

Paris Jackson Reveals More About Meeting Her Mom Debbie Rowe

The reaction to E! News’ footage of Paris meeting her mother, Debbie Rowe, for the first time was followed by the model offering a much more personal account of how that reunion actually unfolded.

During an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Paris recalled meeting Rowe at 15 after years of being raised primarily by her father.

She said she had started asking about her mother around age 10 or 11, but did not meet her until several years later.

Paris remembered the encounter as surprisingly casual, explaining that she came downstairs and found Rowe sitting in the living room with her grandmother, Katherine Jackson.

“I came in and I was just like, ‘Hey, mom.’ And she was like, ‘Hi.’ I sat down, we talked for a second, and then we went out for the day and just like hung out,” she recalled.

Paris said the relationship eventually grew closer, particularly during Rowe’s breast cancer battle.

Paris Explains Why She Had No Expectations With Rowe

Beyond describing the first time she saw her mom, Paris Jackson also explained why she believed their relationship could develop so naturally.

Speaking on the podcast, the singer said she deliberately approached the reunion without expectations, reasoning that placing demands on a relationship could create disappointment or resentment.

“If I walk into a relationship with expectations, [I’m] probably going to end up being maybe disappointed or frustrated or irritated or a resentment will be born or something,” Paris explained.

Instead, she said entering the relationship without preconceived ideas created room for something genuine to develop. “And when I walk into something and I don’t have expectations, it creates this really cool space for something organic to just blossom,” she added.

Paris also pointed to the similarities she shared with Rowe, joking about their astrological signs and saying, “She’s a [Sagittarius], so she’s got the fire, and I’m an Aries, so I got the fire. We’re very similar.”

Before the interview, Paris had offered a much lighter glimpse into her relationship with Rowe, showing that their connection was not limited to the emotional story of reconnecting after years apart.

For Mother’s Day in May, she shared photographs of herself with Rowe on her Instagram stories and used their striking physical resemblance as the basis for a playful tribute.

One of the pictures was a selfie of the two at a horse stable, most likely Rowe’s Painted Desert Ranch in Palmdale, Calif. “Happy Mother’s Day to the lady they used for my template during the cloning process,” she joked in the caption per E! News.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s Ex-Husband Makes Stunning Request

Published

Taylor Frankie Paul

Taylor Frankie Paul has been dealt another blow in her ongoing legal case with her ex-husband, Tate Paul. According to new reports, Tate has rushed to court to make a stunning request regarding Taylor’s recent drug tests. The news of Taylor and Tate’s court battle is just part of the drama that’s surrounded the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star all of 2026. Several reports from The Blast reveal that the mother of three had been involved in some sort of alleged domestic violence incident with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, leading to even more chaos.

Tate recently filed a motion with a Utah court to unseal drug test results involving his ex-wife, Taylor, according to TMZ. Tate shares two kids with Taylor, Indy and Ocean, and recently asked the court for a restraining order against Taylor over alleged misbehavior.

In the filings, Tate said he believed he should have sole legal and physical custody of their two children. As part of their ongoing custody battle, Taylor was ordered to submit to drug tests. If the results came back clean, she’d be able to have unsupervised visits with her kids. If Taylor failed the drug tests, the visits would become supervised.

Despite filing a restraining order, a judge denied Tate’s request in early July 2026, stating that his allegations about Taylor were unsupported and inadmissible.

“As Tate himself recognizes, many of his supporting allegations are based upon inadmissible hearsay, without any corroborating evidence,” the judge wrote, according to E! News. “Many of the concerns, like the children not doing well in school and expressing sadness will require ongoing attention not remedied with an emergency order changing custody.”

Tate’s initial motion came to light while Taylor was staying in a rehabilitation center after being advised by her “mental health team.” A representative for the reality star said that Taylor is “committed to working on herself” and was focusing primarily on her “family and being a good mom.”

Taylor Frankie Paul Has A Protective Order Against Her Ex-Boyfriend

A previous report from The Blast revealed that Taylor has her own protective order against her ex-boyfriend, Mortensen, as he does against her.

The order was put into place back in April 2026 after a judge said that both of the Hulu stars, who share their son Ever, have displayed “violence” toward each other.

“I’m hoping you’re not just people who thrive on the drama and conflict. You guys have to figure out a lot here. You have to figure out how to function as co-parents,” the judge said.

Before their protective orders were put into place, a video of Taylor physically assaulting Mortensen was shared online. In the clip, Taylor not only struck and punched Mortensen, but she also launched two metal chairs at him, one of which hit her young daughter.

Mortensen released a statement shortly after, saying he was “closing an unhealthy chapter” in his life and moving forward.

ABC Canceled Taylor’s Season Of ‘The Bachelorette’

Following the release of the video, Taylor received serious consequences, as ABC canceled her season of “The Bachelorette,” which was scheduled to air in March 2026.

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” the statement read, per The Blast.

Major Advertisers Back Out Of Their Working Relationships With Taylor And ‘The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’

And it wasn’t just ABC putting their working relationship with Taylor on the back burner. Another report from The Blast states that Cinnabon backed out of their deal with Taylor, “The Bachelorette,” and “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”

“Cinnabon has made the decision to terminate its collaboration with ‘The Bachelorette’ and ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,’” a spokesperson from the company said. “Recent developments and allegations surrounding the lead cast member led us to reassess this collaboration as it no longer aligns with our brand values.”

Apple TV’s Biggest Sci-Fi Series Ever Gets Official Return Update

Published

on

03200623_poster_w780.jpg

In the last few years, Apple TV has quietly become a go-to streaming service for prestige TV, especially when it comes to the sci-fi genre. One of the streamer’s first true sci-fi hits was See, starring Jason Momoa, which ran for three seasons before wrapping up in 2022. Another popular sci-fi show to blossom under the Apple TV banner is For All Mankind, starring Joel Kinnaman, which has now been around for five seasons — Apple TV has already renewed the show for Season 6, confirming that it will be the final season of the show. After releasing several critically acclaimed sci-fi shows in the early 2020s, Apple TV found a culture-changing sci-fi hit with Severance, the mind-melting thriller starring Adam Scott and directed/produced by Ben Stiller.

Even through the release of its second season back in early 2025, Severance was the most-watched Apple TV sci-fi show of all time. It wasn’t until the premiere of Pluribus later in the year that Severance no longer held the record, but there’s no shame in coming in second, right? As if a new Apple TV sci-fi show needed anything to boost the hype, Pluribus was written and created for TV by Vince Gilligan, the same scribe who wrote Breaking Bad. The show also stars Rhea Seehorn, famed for her role in the Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul. After shattering Severance’s record to become the most-watched Apple TV sci-fi show of all time, Pluribus was officially renewed for Season 2. Creator Vince Gilligan was recently asked on a podcast if he had anything new to share about Pluribus Season 2, he confirmed that filming will begin “in a couple of months.”

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

Here’s When ‘Pluribus’ Season 2 Comes Out

Apple TV has not yet announced a release date for Pluribus Season 2, but now that we know it’s set to begin filming before the end of the year, we have some idea of when the show will return to streaming. It took around nine months to film the first season of Pluribus, so if Season 2 starts production around November, it will be shooting until next year, around August. If Pluribus Season 2 doesn’t wrap until Q3 of 2027, this would make it tough for the series to premiere before the end of next year, leaving the most likely release date for Pluribus Season 2 early 2028.

The Greatest Character Arc in Sci-Fi Comes Down to Just 6 Words

Published

on

Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson in the final scene of Titanic (1997)

There are plenty of reasons The Iron Giant has endured as one of the most beloved animated movies ever made. Brad Bird‘s 1999 movie is funny, beautiful, devastating, and remarkably sincere about ideas that most family movies would struggle to explain without talking down to their audience. It asks what makes us who we are, whether we are bound by the purpose we were created to serve, and whether something built to destroy can decide to become something else entirely.

The Iron Giant (Vin Diesel) spends almost the entire movie trying to answer those questions without even realizing it. He arrives on Earth with no memory of where he came from or why he was sent here, leaving Hogarth Hughes (Eli Marienthal) to teach him everything from language to morality. By the end, the Giant understands exactly what he was made to be, but more importantly, he understands that he doesn’t have to be it. His entire journey can be found in six words spoken at opposite ends of that realization: “I am not a gun.” “Superman.” Five words reject the identity he was given. One word tells us the identity he chooses for himself.

“I Am Not a Gun” Is the Most Important Choice the Iron Giant Makes

For much of The Iron Giant, the Giant is essentially a child. He mimics Hogarth, learns about the world through him, and doesn’t initially understand concepts as fundamental as death. That innocence makes the discovery of what he actually is so frightening. The Giant isn’t simply capable of violence. Violence has been built into him, and we see glimpses of that programming throughout the movie. When Hogarth’s toy gun accidentally fires, the Giant instinctively reacts by activating a weapon of his own. Later, when Kent Mansley (Christopher McDonald) and the military attack him, that defensive programming takes over completely. The gentle creature Hogarth befriended disappears beneath an arsenal capable of annihilating everything around him. That is what makes “I am not a gun” so much more important than a declaration that the Giant doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Strictly speaking, he is a gun. He was created as a weapon, his body is filled with weapons, and when threatened, he has been programmed to use them.

But Hogarth has already taught him the distinction that matters. After the Giant witnesses a deer die, Hogarth tries to explain something he barely understands himself: guns kill, but death isn’t necessarily the end because people have souls. The Giant may be made of metal, but Hogarth believes he has one too. It’s a wonderfully simple way for the movie to introduce its biggest idea: there is something inside the Giant that cannot be explained by what his body was designed to do. Eventually, Hogarth gives that idea words:

“You are who you choose to be.”

“I am not a gun” is the first time the Giant truly acts on that lesson. He isn’t denying what he was built to do, he’s deciding that it doesn’t get to define him. It’s also important that the movie never gives him an easy way out. There isn’t a late reveal that the Giant was actually designed to protect people or that his destructive programming was a misunderstanding. His weapons don’t disappear once he discovers friendship. The capacity for destruction remains part of him until the very end, which makes his decision not to use it matter. But “I am not a gun” only takes his character arc halfway.

“Superman” Completes One of Animation’s Greatest Character Arcs

A close-up of The Giant (voiced by Vin Diesel) leaning forward in The Iron Giant

Image via Warner Bros. Pictures

Hogarth gives the Giant the answer much earlier when he introduces him to comic books. The Giant is initially fascinated by a robot he thinks looks like him, only for Hogarth to explain that the character is a villain. Then he shows him Superman. The comparison is perfect because Superman is also defined by the relationship between extraordinary power and personal choice. He could hurt people, but he chooses to save them. The Giant loves that idea before he fully understands it. By the climax, he does. Kent’s paranoia has caused the USS Nautilus to launch a nuclear missile at the Giant, despite the fact that he is standing in the middle of Rockwell. The missile cannot be recalled. If it reaches its target, everyone the Giant has come to care about will die. For once, nobody has to tell him what to do. He tells Hogarth to stay behind and flies toward the missile alone. As he climbs higher, Hogarth’s words return to him: “You are who you choose to be.” Then the Giant smiles, and declares:

“Superman.”

That single word completes everything that began with, “I am not a gun.” Superman has become an idea to him: someone powerful enough to destroy who chooses to protect instead. Faced with a weapon capable of destroying an entire town, the Giant doesn’t respond by becoming the bigger weapon. He uses all that incredible power to save everyone else. More importantly, he does it knowing what death means now. Earlier in the movie, the Giant couldn’t understand why the deer wouldn’t wake up. By the finale, he understands enough to know that flying into the missile may mean he will never come back, a sacrifice that is a conscious choice made by someone who has learned what a life is worth. That’s why The Iron Giant doesn’t need a long speech to complete his transformation. Bird has already spent the entire movie teaching us what that final word means to him. “I am not a gun” is the Giant deciding that his creator doesn’t get to determine who he is. “Superman” is the Giant deciding who does: himself. Twenty-seven years later, those six words still contain one of the greatest character arcs animation has ever given us.

Brand New Day Breaks $700 Million Box Office Record

Published

on

Sadie Sink Opens Up About Playing Jean Grey in the MCU

After months of speculation and Marvel secrecy, Sadie Sink can finally openly discuss becoming Jean Grey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Stranger Things star made her debut as the iconic mutant in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, giving audiences their first look at a new Jean Grey who could eventually become one of the central characters in Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Menreboot.

In a new interview with Variety, Sink discussed taking on a character who has been an important part of Marvel Comics for decades.

“She’s such an iconic figure in X-Men and in comics, and I’m very excited to bring my iteration of her to life.”

However, Brand New Day introduces Jean in a very different place than longtime X-Men fans might expect.

Rather than already being a member of the X-Men, Jean is presented as a young mutant struggling with her abilities and the circumstances surrounding her. Although she serves as an antagonist during portions of the movie, Sink says she never approached Jean as an actual villain.

“In this film, they told me that I was the villain, but that you’re not actually the villain, which is how I played her.”

Sink added that she didn’t want to give Jean a traditional villainous personality because Jean herself believes her actions are justified.

That distinction appears to be an important part of Marvel’s approach to the character. Instead of introducing Jean as the established superhero audiences previously saw portrayed by Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner, Marvel has an opportunity to show how she eventually becomes that hero.

Famke Janssen, Sadie Sink, Sophie Turner

Sink explained that she viewed Jean primarily as a teenager dealing with pain and anger rather than someone who was inherently evil.

“She’s a young girl in pain.”

According to Sink, the plan was to avoid focusing on the “evil bits” and instead concentrate on Jean as an angry and hurt teenager.

That idea also connects directly to what Sink believes makes the X-Men different from many other superheroes.

“What makes the X-Men special is they are all incredibly flawed.”

Sink explained that mutants have to discover their own relationship with powers they never asked to have. Those abilities don’t necessarily make their lives easier and can instead make them considerably more difficult.

It’s an approach that could tell us quite a bit about the direction Marvel Studios intends to take with its new X-Men.

The mutants have traditionally worked best when their powers aren’t simply treated as abilities that allow them to become superheroes. Being a mutant is part of who these characters are, and learning to live with that identity has always been central to the franchise.

Jean Grey is particularly suited for that kind of story.

As one of Marvel’s most powerful telepaths and telekinetics, Jean has frequently struggled with abilities that can become overwhelming and, eventually, potentially catastrophic. Her comic book history with the Phoenix Force has made her one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe.

But Marvel doesn’t appear to be rushing toward that version of Jean.

Instead, Brand New Day gives Sink the opportunity to start much earlier in Jean’s life and potentially develop the character across several movies before exploring some of her biggest comic book storylines.

Sink also revealed that some of the first people she told about landing the role were Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of Stranger Things.

“The Duffers were some of the first few people I told.”

Sink said she wanted them to know what she would be doing after Stranger Things, and the brothers were excited about the opportunity. Their reaction carried additional weight for Sink because of their love for comics.

It’s easy to understand the excitement.

After spending years playing Max Mayfield in one of Netflix’s biggest franchises, Sink is moving directly into what could become another defining role, and potentially one that lasts for much of the next decade.

Marvel Studios is currently preparing its new X-Men movie with Thunderbolts director Jake Schreier set to helm the project. Sink’s introduction in Brand New Day now gives the MCU at least one major piece of that team before the movie arrives.

Jean Grey’s future could also introduce another important relationship.

Kit Connor has recently been reported as Marvel’s choice to play Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops. Jean and Scott have one of the most famous and complicated relationships in X-Men history, making the two characters natural candidates to become central figures in Marvel’s new mutant era.

For Sink, though, Jean’s imperfections may ultimately be what makes the character worth exploring.

Marvel has already had two cinematic versions of Jean Grey and has twice attempted to adapt the Dark Phoenix storyline. Simply repeating that journey would offer audiences little they haven’t already seen.

Starting with a younger, angry and emotionally overwhelmed Jean gives Marvel Studios something different: time.

Time to show Jean learning about her powers. Time to show her finding others like herself. Time to establish her relationship with the X-Men. And eventually, time to show how one of Marvel’s most powerful mutants becomes Jean Grey.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day may have introduced her as an antagonist, but if Marvel’s plans come together, Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey is only getting started.

“I think my relationship with my mama used to be a big part of my anger.”

He went on to explain that some relationships cannot be repaired as a person may hope. He added that he believes he and his mother will never speak again, despite still loving and caring for her.

After YoungBoy’s comments made their way online, Sherhonda appeared to respond to her son’s remarks, asking him to keep her name out of his mouth. The exchange subsequently sparked a back-and-forth between the two on social media.

Now, YoungBoy’s latest cryptic posts have fans once again questioning whether they are connected to the ongoing tension between the rapper and his mother.

Alex Cooper is reportedly shutting down her drinks brand, Unwell Beverages, less than two years after entering the marketplace.

Bloomberg reported on Thursday, August 13, that Cooper’s company will release new Halloween-themed drinks later this year before ceasing “production across all of the brand’s line of beverages,” citing sources familiar with the situation.

Target, Unwell’s main distributor, is selling through its stock, according to the outlet.

Cooper and Nestlé launched Unwell Beverages as Unwell Hydration in early 2025, initially selling hydration and recovery drinks targeted to women. Last year, the brand expanded into energy drinks.

“What could be my first consumer product? Probably something that would make the most sense would be that it could integrate into your unwell lifestyle,” she said at the time, referencing her Unwell media company.

Earlier this week, Cooper’s Unwell media company announced a “strategic investment” from Patrick Whitesell’s investment firm WTSL, which valued Unwell at $500 million. Cooper cofounded the company with her husband, Matt Kaplan, in 2023.

In June, Cooper broke her silence about alleged turmoil at Unwell following a Vanity Fair exposé that accused Kaplan of “wreaking havoc and making people cry” at the company.

“I will say that building a startup, there is so much growth that comes with that, and I am extremely proud of what we have built at Unwell,” Cooper told Wall Street Journal editor Suzanne Vranica at Journal House in Cannes, France. “I will just kind of leave it at ‘don’t believe everything that you read on the internet’ — but I think everyone knows that at this point.”

“I think if you walk the halls, there are so many people that are so happy to work at this company,” Cooper continued. “I think, unfortunately, being a woman in this industry is extremely difficult because you’re held to a completely different standard. Whether it’s a smear campaign being created for someone’s narrative, whatever it be.”

She added, “I think when you read lies about yourself to fuel something else that is an obvious situation going on, it’s hard, but I think the reason that I’ve had success in this industry is I have really thick skin, and I’m going to keep pushing forward.”

Why Matthew McConaughey Said One 2003 Film Is His ‘Fav’

Published

on

Matthew McConaughey at

Matthew McConaughey has a list of iconic roles dating back to the ’90s, and he’s grateful for his extensive portfolio. But if there’s one movie he might be most thankful for, it’s the 2003 rom-com “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.” During a recent podcast appearance, the legendary actor and diehard Texas Longhorns fan revealed a secret about the film that’s made it one of his all-time favorites.

Speaking with Josh Horowitz on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast earlier this week, McConaughey said that it’s hard for him to choose another film when asked about some of his favorites because “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” is “the gift that keeps on giving.”

When pressed for more information, McConaughey said it’s “probably my favorite rom-com I’ve done,” mainly because it’s a fan favorite, and because it still earns him a pretty penny to this day. “It still pays the best mailbox money of any film I’ve ever done, by far. By lengths,” he shared further, referring to the residual checks that come to actors after networks have replayed some of their work at later dates.

“It’s probably on, like, every airline forever,” Horowitz joked, to which McConaughey replied, “Sorority houses.”

Why ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’ Paid Matthew McConaughey The Most Money Every March For Years

For those who haven’t seen the 2003 box office hit, “How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days” is about a magazine writer and an advertising executive who date each other with opposite goals in mind. McConaughey’s character bets his bosses that he could make any woman fall in love with him in 10 days, while Andie, played by Kate Hudson, is assigned to write an article about … well, how to lose a guy in 10 days, and tries to put every dating mistake to the test.

In addition to McConaughey’s film being in sorority houses across college campuses, the actor pointed out that he used to receive the largest residual checks in March. “When it used to be just DVDs or cable, every March I’d get a big check because [of] Valentine’s Day,” he said.

He continued, “But, I mean, look: the movie for me, for that genre, let me just own that genre. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days … that’s a real anchor in the rom-com genre through time.”

It’s a good thing McConaughey is thankful for his time filming “How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days,” because some other actors aren’t hitting the residual jackpot like he is.

According to a previous report from The Blast, former Nickelodeon star Jennifer Hyatt Tedmori recently crashed out in an Instagram post, revealing that she’s made mere pennies from her time on “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.”

“All of two cents. See all of this paper I’m just littering in my car for two f–king cents,” she said. “I know, hard times [and the] economy is s–t, but like two cents? Keep it. Just f–king keep it. I don’t want it.”

Tedmori was sure to mention that it’s been a while since she’s had a regular appearance on a TV show, but it didn’t change her position on the matter. “Now, I get it, it’s been a long time. I’m surprised that I’m getting anything. But three cents? It cost you 75 cents to send this envelope, and the way it’s adding up, the math ain’t f–king mathing,” she said.

This ‘Full House’ Star Said Things Have Changed Since Streaming

During a separate conversation, “Full House” star Jodie Sweetin also talked about receiving small residual checks from her time on the hit sitcom during the ’80s and ’90s.

“No, there’s no syndication anymore because it’s all in streaming. Who gets paid for that? Nobody gets paid for that,” Sweetin said.

And they aren’t alone. Even the iconic Pamela Anderson reportedly struck a bad deal when she was younger, making one of her most iconic works one of her lowest-paying gigs ever.

“When I go back, and I even look at past deals and residual checks, people would be shocked to find out how people really took advantage of her,” Anderson’s son, Brandon Thomas, told Extra. “A young girl making a bad deal on a big show, and she was the biggest star at the time.”

He shared that “a lot of people made a lot of money” from “Baywatch,” but he claimed his mom only made “$4,000 a year.”
