Jen Affleck has been an original cast member of Hulu’s hit reality series “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” since its September 2024 premiere. 

However, after news broke that the show would be getting a spinoff, fans have been curious about who from the OG cast would be moving over to the Orange County franchise. Affleck has now seemingly provided a clear answer.

On Saturday, April 25, Jen Affleck took to Instagram to confirm what her fans have been waiting for. 

She posted a video of herself along with the rest of the cast of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County” with a caption that read, “Coming to @hulu in 2026!!”

Fans were confused when the cast announcement recently broke and Affleck was not included, and she also missed an appearance with the rest of the ladies. However, it appears that she is indeed leaving her Salt Lake City #MomTok group and heading to California.

Affleck Previously Shared Her Struggles As A Wife And Mom

The mom of three shared a recent TikTok video that served as a “life update.” She began by explaining that she and her family, including husband Zac Affleck, are moving “for like the fifth time in a year.”

“In the last two to three years, there’s been…so much has happened, between two babies, reality TV show, ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ moving, identity, faith, life crisis,” she said. “I’m very hopeful for this next chapter of my life.” 

Affleck got visibly emotional, saying that she “hates crying on camera,” but “looking back at the last two years, there’s a lot of parts of me that I haven’t really recognized.”

She continued, adding that she hopes “through my vulnerability that I could help heal and also help heal myself.”

’Mormon Wives’ Spinoff Recently Confirmed The Cast

“Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County” will feature podcaster Bobbi Althoff, FishFam YouTuber Madison Bontempo, and social media personalities Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, and Salomé Andrea, according to an official press release. 

Rounding out the cast are Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease, and McCall DaPron, the sister of OG cast member Mayci Neeley. 

“A new group of dynamic young mothers in Orange County collide in a community where beliefs are not just their religion; they are their identity,” the show’s description reads. “While some defend their way of life, fighting against modernity, others embrace change, becoming a platform to disrupt the status quo.” 

“Scandals and secrets will be revealed, facades will crumble, and families and friendships will change forever on both sides of the battlefield as this group of strong, game-changing influencers comes together to build their answer to #MomTok,” the description continued.

The Spinoff Was Initially Rumored In February 2026

According to TMZ, back in February, sources close to the spinoff series revealed that a pilot episode had already been filmed and was currently being shopped to streaming services, including Hulu, in hopes of being greenlit for a full season.

Sources also told the outlet they were eyeing a March start date to film additional episodes, but that timeline rested on whether they would be picked up by a streamer.

The show’s pilot is based in Orange County, California, but if it gets picked up, it would likely expand to Los Angeles as well.

At the time, the cast of the spinoff had not been revealed, but production sources told TMZ that “a few familiar faces” would be part of the ensemble.

‘Mormon Wives’ Production Has Resumed

After filming for season five of “Mormon Wives” was put on pause due to star Taylor Frankie Paul’s domestic violence investigation, which ultimately resulted in no charges being filed against her, fans were unsure when production would resume.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, production has officially resumed now that Paul is in the clear, but production is letting her take the lead on when (and in what capacity) she wants to return to the show.

An inside source close to her also revealed to the outlet that production remains supportive of Paul and is ready to film with her at her own pace “if and when she is ready.” 

Paul previously shut down claims from PEOPLE that the show would resume production without her, writing in the Instagram comments of the post, “Interesting, that’s not the call I got.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt broke her silence on the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting after previously declaring there would be “shots fired” at the event.

Leavitt, 28, took to Instagram on Sunday, April 26, to reflect on the shooting that saw her, President Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump and other administration officers evacuated from the Washington Hilton ballroom one day prior due to shots ringing out over dinner.

“What was supposed to be a fun night with President Trump delivering jokes and celebrating free speech was hijacked by a depraved anti-Trump lunatic who sought to assassinate the President and kill as many top Trump administration officials as possible,” Leavitt’s Instagram post read.

Just minutes before shots were heard at the gala, Leavitt, who is pregnant with her second child to husband Nicholas Riccio, told Fox News on the red carpet that a speech to be delivered to Trump, 79, would be “funny” and “entertaining,” and that there “will be some shots fired tonight in the room.”

Leavitt’s post, accompanied by a carousel of photos taken prior and during the dinner, and in the aftermath of the evacuation, continued, “I was with President Trump and the First Lady back stage after we were quickly ushered to safety by Secret Service. President Trump was truly fearless, but as he said last night, this political violence needs to end.”

The post, which captured Leavitt seated beside Vice President JD Vance in the White House Oval Office, concluded, “Thank you to law enforcement for keeping all of us safe, including the brave agent who took a bullet to the chest and immediately moved to neutralize the shooter. Pray for our country.”

Washington D.C. law enforcement officials confirmed that a 31-year-old man from California was apprehended as a result of the shooting incident on Saturday, April 25. He has been charged with two counts of using a firearm and one count of assault on a federal officer using a dangerous weapon. The suspect’s motives and condition remain unknown.

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner served as a temporary farewell for Leavitt as she prepares to welcome her second child in the coming days. (Leavitt and Riccio, 60, are also parents to son Nico, born in July 2024.)

Shortly after Saturday’s annual event celebrating freedom of the press started, a 31-year-old gunman rushed a security checkpoint. No one else was harmed during the incident. The gunman, who wrote an alleged manifesto in which he detailed his desire to harm Trump and top members of his cabinet, is scheduled to be arraigned in federal court on Monday, April 27. He is said to be facing multiple charges.

“Then everything seemed to calm down,” Levi continued on Saturday of his experience. “Everyone started popping up from the tables — we didn’t know what was going on. And we just recently were told they are going to continue with the dinner with some updates soon. I don’t know, it’s very confusing because if it was an actual active live shooting then I don’t know why we would necessarily be continuing with the dinner.”

While president Trump and members of the White House Correspondents’ Administration initially wanted the event to continue, safety concerns required the rest of the event be canceled. The president has claimed it will be rescheduled within 30 days.

While speaking to members of the press in an impromptu White House press briefing after the shooting, the president praised the first lady for her calm under pressure after she was seen visibly shaken by the sound of the gunshots.

“I want to thank the first lady, that was a rather traumatic experience for her,” he said. “We’re not going to let anybody take over our society, we’re not going to cancel things out … we can’t do that. We wanted to stay tonight, I fought like hell to stay, but it was protocol … there was a lot of action going on.”

Dancing With the Stars Val Chmerkovskiy is opening up about who he does — and doesn’t — want to see compete on the show.

“My reaction was like, ‘Yo, Sean Spicer’s on the cast!’ That was my reaction calling my brother,” Chmerkovskiy told People in September 2019 after the former Trump administration official was cast in Season 28 of the reality competition show.

“But then in the same breath, it’s like, and so is Ray Lewis and so is Lamar Odom and so is Christie Brinkley and so is Hannah [Brown],” he continued. “The thing that makes our show unique and wild and crazy and entertaining is the fact that it’s a collective of all these different people. And you don’t have to agree or follow all these people.”

He added at the time, “They’re all very different. And the beauty, me being a dance ambassador, is — what I find a lot of pride in is how inclusive dance is and that it doesn’t judge based on any of the past.”

The actress alleges emotional and sexual abuse, while the singer has denied all claims made against him.

The long-running dispute also included a defamation lawsuit Marilyn Manson later filed against Evan Rachel Wood, which was withdrawn in 2024 after he paid the legal costs.

Evan Rachel Wood recently got candid about her relationship with Manson and how she came to feel powerless during the time they were together.

In a recent interview with The Times, the 38-year-old actress shared that she struggled for years with guilt and confusion over the way she says she was treated.

According to Wood, those feelings became so overwhelming that she began to believe she somehow deserved what was happening.

“I accepted my powerlessness and felt I deserved it somehow,” she told the publication.

According to the team, the proposal required Wood to agree to a joint public statement and strict confidentiality terms in exchange for partial payment of her legal costs, an offer she declined.

They added that Manson ultimately paid the actress’s full legal expenses and withdrew the lawsuit entirely.

Evan Rachel Wood Called The Defamation Suit A ‘Publicity Stunt’

A representative for Wood characterized the original lawsuit as a “publicity stunt to try to undermine the credibility of his many accusers and revive his faltering career.”

They argued that the court’s findings and his decision to drop the case while covering nearly $327,000 in legal fees reinforced that view.

The lawsuit itself had been filed in March 2022, shortly before the release of Wood’s HBO documentary “Phoenix Rising,” where she detailed allegations of sexual assault and emotional abuse during their relationship from 2006 to 2010.

Judge Reinstates Ashley Walters’ Lawsuit Against Marilyn Manson Under New Sexual Assault Law

Separately, in January, a Los Angeles judge allowed a previously dismissed lawsuit filed by Walters to move forward under a law that temporarily reopens expired sexual assault claims.

The case had initially been dismissed for falling outside the standard legal time limit, but was reconsidered after the introduction of the new statute.

According to The Guardian, Steve Cochran, the judge who had previously dismissed the case, ruled that the updated law could revive the claim. Walters alleges that she was sexually assaulted while working for Manson between 2010 and 2011 and has also made additional claims about his behavior during that period.

The lawsuit, originally filed in May 2021 by former assistant Ashley Walters, had been thrown out the previous December after exceeding the usual legal time limit for such cases. However, Walters petitioned the court to revisit the decision once a new law introduced a temporary two-year window allowing expired claims to be reconsidered.

Manson’s attorney, Howard King, has disputed the allegations, arguing that the case does not meet the legal requirements under the revised statute and maintaining that his client did not commit any sexual assault.

According to Variety, episode two of the current third season of “Euphoria,” which aired April 19, amassed 8.5 million viewers across HBO and HBO Max in its first three days. Those numbers match the viewership of the April 12 season premiere.
