Remy Ma Uses Clip Of Claressa Shields In ‘Wanna Be’ Song Share
Is Remy Ma taking jabs at Claressa Shields? That’s the question fans on both sides are asking after the rapper teased a new song, ‘Wanna Be,’ using a clip of the champion boxer. The track appears to sample ‘Knuck If You Buck,’ and Ma dropped it just days after Crime Mob’s Princess revealed Shields blocked her on Instagram over a request to use the iconic track for a fight walk-out.

Remy Ma Talks About Being Copied In ‘Wanna Be’
As mentioned, Remy Ma gagged her fans with new music. In the song, she brags about her fashion sense and rocking brand-new, runway pieces. She also repeatedly talks about someone shopping on TikTok, retail and the clearance rack. However, some speculate that Remy could be saying “Clarence,” an unfavorable nickname for Claressa Shields used by online trolls.
“I got b****es on my d**k, b****es watching all my poles. I got b****es popping sh*t, b****es I don’t even know; I got b****es imma slide cause these b****es do the most; I got b****es that’ll ride if you b****es wanna go,” Remy Ma raps.
In another verse, she raps about someone wanting her hand-me downs. “B****es want all of my hand-me downs. My flows, my shoes, my n*gga, my wigs, all of my hand-me-downs,” Ma said, adding that she’s being copied. The cover art for the new track shows the rapper holding two black dogs by their chain leashes.
What Tea Between Princess & Claressa Shields?
Last week, Princess from Crime Mob revealed on Instagram that Claressa Shields hit the block button on her. Princess alleged that the reason was because she slid into the boxer’s DMs asking her to feature her ‘Knuck If You Buck’ verse during one of her fight walk-outs. She appeared to ask twice, last year August and recently in July. In the screenshot the rapper shared, Shields rejected the request with a solitary, “No.” Princess captioned the post, “Damn [Claressa Shields], I just asked to do my verse on ‘Kunck’ for your walk out at a fight…You didn’t have to block me. @mzshyneka It’s all your fault. #girlpower.”
This week, while doing press for her upcoming fight on August 15, Claressa Shields clarified that she “doesn’t know” Princess or have anything against her. “If she got blocked, it’s probably because she said something, but I don’t know her personally. It wasn’t because I don’t like that song. We all love ‘Knuck If You Buck.’ That’s an anthem,” the boxer said, adding that she hopes Princess still attends the fight and wasn’t too offended. “A block is a block, we all live,” she also said.
Soon after the red carpet clip circulated, Princess responded. She wrote, “Y’all go stream #Knuck on all platforms…and y’all let that damn girl focus on the fight,” adding a laughing emoticon.
Remy Ma Appears To Use Claressa Shields In Song Promo, Princess Reacts To Sample Use
After teasing ‘Wanna Be,’ Remy Ma slid on her Instagram Stories with a clip repost of Claressa Shields. In the video, clipped from the boxer’s red carpet comments about Princess, Shields is saying, “We all love ‘Knuck If You Buck,’ like that’s an anthem.” Again, the song ‘Wanna Go’ samples the hit Crime Mob track.
In another IG Stories post, Remy Ma posted the cover art to ‘Knuck If You Buck,’ and wrote, “Real Recognize Real” and “Crime Mob What Up!” Separately, Princess reposted Remy Ma’s ‘Wanna Go’ teaser and tagged her with fire emojis.
Claressa Shields Posts Is Locked In On Her Upcoming Fight
Claressa Shields, who is one day away from her fight against Kaye Scott in Atlanta, seemingly has not responded to Remy Ma’s song or repost. Instead, on Friday, she reposted content on her IG Stories that highlights her career as a boxer. One clip of her in the ring is captioned, “10 YEARS AGO ON THIS DAY, I WON MY 2ND OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL!!!” Additionally, she reposted Boosie promoting tickets to the fight. On her IG feed, Claressa shared a comparison video of her body changes from heavyweight to middleweight fighter. She revealed she underwent strength and conditioning four times a week, boxed five days a week and drank a gallon of water everyday.

Kelly Osbourne Shows Off Wild Side in Leopard-Print Swimsuit
Kelly Osbourne has the ultimate swimsuit collection.
Osbourne, 41, took to her Instagram Story on Friday, August 14, to show off her fabulous swim style. In the pic, she rocked a leopard-print design featuring balconette cups and thin straps. She made her look even hotter with chunky gold necklaces, including a cross pendant and a coin, as well as a structured straw hat.
The actress further turned up the heat with a full face of makeup, including smoked-out brown eyeshadow, long lashes and filled-in eyebrows. She wore her highlighted hair down and blown out.
Osbourne put her drama with Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider to the side for her day at the pool, hours after blasting the musician, 71, for his comments about her late father, Ozzy Osbourne. (add a few lines here/what he and she said) (Ozzy died in July 2025 at age 75 following a battle with Parkinson’s.)

This isn’t the first time Kelly has shown off her bikini body. In July, she rocked a classy white look while relaxing on a yacht.
For her boat day, Kelly rocked a one-piece featuring underwire cups and spaghetti straps. The look was finished with a sheer mesh cutout over her chest, which was adorned with polka dots.
Of course, no outfit is complete without accessories. She glammed up her look with layered gold necklaces, a floppy hat and sunglasses finished with edgy spike details.
Kelly previously shut down trolls for commenting on her weight in December 2025.
During an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, her mom, Sharon Osbourne, shared a clip of Kelly sharing, “I don’t even know how to say this, so I’m just gonna say it. To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘Are you ill?,’ or ‘Get off Ozempic,’ [or] ‘You don’t look right,’ my dad just died.”
She continued, “And I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family. And I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life, not the miserable side of my life. So to all those people, f*** off.”

The supermodel’s latest look puts a fresh spin on classic polka dots, pairing the playful print with an ultra-feminine silhouette that feels made for the final weeks of summer. Even better, we found a similar style for less than $30.
Kloss was spotted in New York City on August 11, wearing a white and brown polka-dot midi dress with ruffled straps, a tie-front bodice and a swishy skirt. She finished the look with brown peep-toe shoes and oval sunglasses, keeping the entire outfit polished without taking away from the pretty print.

While Kloss’ exact dress may be unknown, the Snllz Polka Dot Maxi Dress captures a similar romantic look for just $29 on Amazon. The white polka-dot design has that same vintage-inspired feel, making it an easy alternative to the floral dresses that tend to dominate summer wardrobes.
Delicate spaghetti straps frame the square neckline, while a gathered, ruched bust, front tie and small keyhole detail give the fitted bodice plenty of shape. A defined waist flows into a softly flared skirt for a figure-skimming silhouette that moves beautifully without feeling restrictive. It also comes in sizes small through large.
The beauty of polka dots is that they’re playful without being difficult to style. Pair the dress with strappy sandals and a woven bag for brunch or a garden party, then dress it up with kitten heels and simple jewelry for date night.
Florals might always have a place in our summer wardrobes, but Kloss makes a convincing case for switching things up. At just $29, this pretty polka-dot dress is an affordable way to recreate her look and give the classic print its own main-character moment.

KPop Demon Hunters Star Blames DiCaprio For BAFTA Slip-Up
KPop Demon Hunters star Ejae is opening up about the moment Leonardo DiCaprio left her so nervous that she missed the mark during a BAFTA performance.
The singer-songwriter says the Oscar winner’s serious expression and intense stare threw her off as she performed in front of a room packed with Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Ejae, the breakout singing voice behind the character Rumi in Netflix’s record-breaking hit KPop Demon Hunters, blamed Leonardo DiCaprio’s demeanor for the reason she was completely thrown off-key during a performance at the BAFTAs.
Speaking in a candid interview with The Times, the 34-year-old singer-songwriter confessed that her performance at the BAFTA Film Awards earlier this year still “haunts” her, pointing directly to a surprise staring contest with the Oscar winner as the culprit behind her vocal mistakes.
“The BAFTAs haunt me,” she told the news outlet. “I made mistakes. I cracked a little bit on the high notes. Leonardo DiCaprio was [in the audience] right in front of me, and he was not smiling.”
Ejae Recalls The Moment DiCaprio Threw Her Off

The awkward moment occurred as Ejae had to hit a high note while delivering a live rendition of the song “Born To Be” with her HUNTR/X groupmates, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI.
She casually glanced into the crowd, only to lock eyes with the Titanic star, whose seemingly unimpressed look affected her.
“That’s what put me off,” she recalled with a laugh. “He made me so nervous. It was already so nerve-racking to be in front of all these celebrities, and then I look up and lock eyes with Leonardo DiCaprio? Come on.”
Ejae’s BAFTA Slip-Up Can’t Slow Her Award-Winning Run

Despite the brief hiccup at London’s Royal Festival Hall, the minor vocal crack couldn’t dampen the success of KPop Demon Hunters.
The film has since gone on to smash streaming records and become Netflix’s most-watched original movie in history, while “Golden,” co-written by Ejae, swept awards season, winning Best Original Song at both the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.
It also won a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media, making history as the first K-pop song to win a Grammy, per the BBC.
Ejae Reveals The Surreal Reality Of Her KPop Demon Hunters Fame

Elsewhere in her interview with The Times, Ejae reflected on her rise to international stardom over the past year and expressed immense gratitude for what she has achieved.
“I know [this kind of success] happens; I just didn’t think it would happen to me,” she said. “I had no inkling at all that KPop Demon Hunters would be as big as it became. I did think it might be huge because the story was so cool, but you never know. In the past year I’ve lived five lives. It doesn’t stop. Who does this all in one year?”
She even revealed that she discovered Beyoncé and Jay-Z are big fans of hers after meeting them at the Oscars.
“I was at their afterparty, and Jay-Z came up to me and said, ‘Hi, my name’s Shawn,’” she recounted. “I was beyond starstruck. Beyoncé is my idol, and she said, ‘You have an incredible voice.’ I asked her, ‘Do you know Golden?’ She was like, ‘Yeah, my girls sing it.’”
Asked what the downside to her meteoric rise is, she said, “The only thing is that I can’t go to onsens [hot springs] anymore because you’re fully naked going in. It’s still crazy to me. I was a nobody, and suddenly I’m a something.”
DiCaprio Names The Two Co-Stars Who Left Him Awestruck

Meanwhile, DiCaprio has previously spoken about how two actresses had a similarly strong effect on him to the one he had on Ejae when he was starting out in his career.
In a 2025 profile with TIME, he revealed that he was starstruck by actresses Meryl Streep and Diane Keaton, both of whom featured alongside him in the 1996 film Marvin’s Room.
DiCaprio told the news outlet that he was “awed by” both Streep and Keaton, but he “loved Keaton especially.”
“She had the most incredible laugh,” the actor said about his fondness for Keaton, who died from pneumonia in October 2025 at the age of 79.
“It would echo through the entire set, and she made you feel like the funniest person in the world. I mean, burst-out-loud laughing. I’ll never forget it. I kind of lived to make her laugh every day on set, because it was so infectious. She was incredible,” he added.

Bethenny Frankel’s Daughter Has Job Despite ‘Nepo Baby’ Joke
Bethenny Frankel jokes that her daughter, Bryn, is having a “nepo baby summer” after jet-setting around the world — but she is also learning the value of hard work through her own job.
“She’s been working. She was away in Greece. She went away to do a program at Sotheby’s business in New York for just a couple of days,” Frankel, 55, exclusively told Us on Wednesday, August 12, of her daughter’s recent activities. “And I’m not gonna lie, she’s been doing summer homework.”
The Real Housewives of New York City alum noted that Bryn, 16, is “very into her work,” admitting that their summer together hasn’t been like ones in the past.
“She and I went paddle boarding for a very short time two days ago. We went to Babe’s in Sag Harbor to have, like, just a mommy and me brunch,” Frankel recalled. “We’re trying to steal our moments, but it hasn’t been the same.”

Frankel admitted that her daughter is “not a little kid” so what she does during her time away from school has shifted.
“We’re not like on the day, just like crabbing and going on the boat. Everybody’s been running in circles,” the Skinnygirl founder told Us. “But we have been going out to dinner more on the water.”
Frankel explained, “We’re trying to pick our spots and check all the boxes now. … We went to Sunset Beach together. I took her to Surf Lodge twice together.”
She teased that Bryn is “having a nepo baby summer. But she’s working, so not completely.”
Frankel noted that “she has a job” but it’s not at one of her companies. “She has a job in fashion. Retail,” the TV personality confirmed.
Thanks to Frankel’s career in the spotlight, her daughter, whom she shares with ex-husband Jason Hoppy, has also grown comfortable in front of the cameras.

Frankel revealed that Bryn wasn’t totally aware of what a nepo baby was until recently. (A nepo baby is short for nepotism baby, meaning a child who gains success or fame, career opportunities through their famous or influential family connections.)
After Bryn innocently asked her mom about the term’s meaning, Frankel decided to pay homage to the funny moment by naming one of her sandwiches at her new Supermodel Café in East Quogue, New York, the “Nepo Baby.”
“I came up with Nepo Baby because she walked into my room. I think I was shooting something, and she walked into my room and she said, ‘Mama, what’s a nepo baby?’” Frankel recalled to Us. “And I said, ‘Look in the freakin mirror.’”
Frankel added that “everything was just an organic thing” when it came to opening the pop-up.
“Everything is just like a thing that was born from real [life],” she continued. “Nothing’s too serious. It’s not that deep. Stay open until people don’t come anymore, it’s the Billy Joel concert of cafés.”
Frankel previously told Us that even with her flashy career, her daughter has a “relatively normal” life, which she is proud of.
“She does so well in school. She’s one of those people that applies herself without anyone needing to motivate her,” Frankel exclusively shared with Us in June. “She’s very disciplined.”
Supermodel Café opened in East Quogue, New York, on Thursday, August 13.

Dolly Parton’s Health Battle Brings Yet Another Setback
Dolly Parton has suffered another setback in her ongoing health battle, forcing the country music legend to pull out of a major appearance at her beloved Dollywood.
The 80-year-old was expected to attend the opening celebration for the theme park’s new NightFlight Expedition attraction on Friday, August 14.
Instead, Parton appeared virtually and revealed that dizziness and dehydration prompted her doctor to order her to remain in Nashville.
Parton was supposed to make the roughly three-hour trip from Nashville to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, for the Dollywood event, but her health ultimately changed those plans.
Appearing by video while wearing sparkly fairy wings, the “Jolene” singer apologized for not being there in person and acknowledged that fans already knew she had been dealing with several health problems.
“I’ve told you before, all my fans, that I have had a few little health issues,” Parton explained, according to Page Six. “And sometimes I get a little dizzy, and I get dehydrated.”
This time, the dehydration was enough for her Nashville doctor to intervene.
“My Nashville doctor clipped my wings, saying you ain’t traveling this week,” she revealed.
Parton appeared to accept the medical order with her trademark humor, telling fans that when a doctor says there will be no traveling, “you ain’t traveling.”
She also reiterated her commitment to keeping supporters informed about her health.
Parton’s Latest Absence Follows A Difficult Health Battle

The canceled appearance is notable because it continues a pattern of health-related disruptions that began last year.
In September 2025, Dolly Parton missed another Dollywood appearance due to kidney stones and an infection.
She subsequently postponed her planned Las Vegas residency to undergo medical procedures and eventually canceled the shows altogether.
When announcing the residency cancellation in May, Parton offered more details about what had been happening behind the scenes.
Dolly Parton Revealed Her Health Was ‘All Out Of Whack’

The singer revealed that, in addition to her longstanding problems with kidney stones, her immune and digestive systems had gotten “all out of whack.” However, she stressed that she was responding well to medication and treatment and improving.
As The Blast previously reported, concern surrounding Parton’s health had also intensified following the March 2025 death of her husband, Carl Dean, after nearly 60 years of marriage.
An insider claimed grief had taken an emotional and physical toll on the music icon as she attempted to adjust to life without her longtime partner.
Dolly Parton Previously Insisted ‘All Is Good’

Despite the repeated health interruptions, Parton has consistently pushed back against fears that she is permanently retreating from public life.
When she appeared at Dollywood for the park’s 41st season opening in March, the singer acknowledged that grief and other issues had left her feeling “worn down and worn out.”
Parton said she needed to build herself back up “spiritually, emotionally, and physically,” but reassured fans, “all is good.”
She provided another encouraging sign in June when she made a surprise public appearance for the opening of Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tennessee.
That outing marked another step back into the spotlight following months of concern surrounding her condition.
Her latest doctor’s order suggests that Parton is still being cautious even as she continues working.
Country Icon Continues Working Despite Recent Heartbreak

Health concerns have not been Parton’s only challenge.
As The Blast previously reported, she suffered another devastating family loss in July when her older brother, Coy “Denver” Parton, died at 82. His death came a little over a year after Dean’s passing.
Still, Parton has continued moving forward professionally.
She recently announced that her life story is heading to Broadway with “Dolly: A True Original Musical.” Although Parton will not portray herself onstage, she remains heavily involved with the production and has emphasized that the story will be told through her own words and music.
The project is among several ventures keeping her busy despite the physical setbacks. Entertainment Weekly reports that she is also continuing work connected to her Songteller Hotel and a Nashville museum.
For now, however, Parton appears willing to listen when her body — and her doctor — tells her to slow down.
Her absence from Dollywood may represent another unwanted interruption, but her decision to appear virtually ensured fans still heard directly from the woman whose health they have been closely watching.

HBO’s 8-Episode Southern Gothic Thriller Is Still a Masterpiece Almost a Decade Later
It shouldn’t be too hard to believe there was a time before and after Gone Girl, the novel-turned-movie that upended how women are treated in crime fiction thanks to author Gillian Flynn, who created the iconic and deadly Amy Dunne, played by Rosamund Pike in the film adaptation. The book and David Fincher’s film are not standard murder mysteries, and the author did the same in her 2006 debut novel, Sharp Objects, which became a 2018 HBO miniseries.
The murder mystery is a jumping-off point before the story gets more disturbing. All the episodes are directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, who brings his atmospheric visual style that is rounded out with a terrific cast, led by a devastating Amy Adams. Before Amy Dunne’s manipulation and rage, there was Camille Preaker, who gets swallowed up in a personal hell.
What Is ‘Sharp Objects’ About?
Camille Preaker (Adams) returns to her childhood hometown of Wind Gap, located in Missouri’s “Bootheel,” a place she has done her best to avoid, but as a reporter, Camille is assigned to write about the murder of a young girl that has gone unsolved. She sees old classmates who haven’t lost their “mean girl” personalities and gets close to the detective who is trying to find the killer at large, but the return home is further strained when Camille sees her family again, including her distant mother, Adora (Patricia Clarkson), and wild child Amma (Eliza Scanlen), who is Camille’s half-sister. Tension builds as Camille becomes increasingly haunted by her past, especially in remembering the younger sister she lost during her childhood.
Sharp Objects is a Southern Gothic that is as deadly as it is sweaty, where the Missouri setting can unleash the humidity off the screen. There is a slow-burn pacing across the eight episodes, and while it may be too slow for some viewers, the pacing is deliberate, as Adams’ emotionally troubled reporter gets wrapped up in the dark clutches of Wind Gap. To help with the patience of the storytelling, there are unique touches that would surely keep viewers engaged.
‘Sharp Objects’ Has Beautiful and Creepy Opening Credits
The theme song that plays during the title sequence is “Dance and Angela,” a song taken from A Place in the Sun about a tragic love story. The song changes depending on who or what an episode is about, with renditions made to evoke a thematic feeling; there is a hip-hop version for youthfulness, and another toward the series’ end sounds darker and rumbling as sinister truths break through with no turning back. The title sequence lulls the viewers into the miniseries’ tone, and just like other HBO shows such as The Sopranos and True Detective, as unforgettable as the music is, so are the visuals. No one should want to hit the “skip” button.
Scenes fade in and out, some merge with others, all of them creating a world Sharp Objects will enter and depicting Wind Gap as a place that is sprawling and constricting, decadent and ruined, like the best kind of Southern Gothic stories do. Of the images seen, there is blood dripping, a young girl smiling on a swing, a fence of barbed wire, and a couple dancing. By the time the first episode plays, there will surely be something else that becomes quickly apparent to someone watching.
‘Sharp Objects’ Doesn’t Have a Typical Score, Either
When Camille or anyone else heads outside or stays indoors, music is important to get into their headspace, but there is a notable lack of a score. The creative decision to keep the music diegetic — music that exists in the show’s world — feels isolating, and a song that plays can be an attempt to drown out the quiet of rural life. It feels personal too; the sound is dim when characters put on a pair of headphones, and it gets louder and crisp for the audience only when the character can hear it just as well. The sound design can then get unsettling when it’s messed with; a highlight of this is when Camille falls under a bad influence.
High on ecstasy, Camille rollerskates through Wind Gap’s main street, reliving her childhood, but with the potential of a bad trip slowly threatening to ruin the mood. Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” blends into “Ghost” by The Acid, a song that has a personal connection to Camille, and makes for an eerie remix where the echoes of one are beneath the other. When there isn’t a needle drop, a constant hum of cicadas is heard, the small town depleted of the mundane loudness of a city. Without relying on the supernatural, Wind Gap still feels like a haunted place, where town lore includes violence against women that spans decades and where there is a favorite scary story the kids share about a dangerous “Woman in White” who lives in the woods. On Sharp Objects, the diegetic and ambient sound is a fascinating way to get inside someone’s head or develop the world, but it’s not the only method.
‘Sharp Objects’ Is the Last Project by Director Jean-Marc Vallée
There is a paranoid visual style where the residents of Wind Gap are often voyeurs of each other. In a crowded scene early on, Camille may look over at someone, and the camera then switches to the perspective of someone else keeping an eye on Camille. Everyone is eager to know everyone else’s secrets in this town. There is a murder mystery that needs solving, after all, and the suspect list has plenty of names to choose from, but the editing is one of the best experiences on this show, where memories appear as non-linear scenes, and sometimes they don’t get pieced together until episodes later.
It’s a filmmaking tool that the late Jean-Marc Vallée knew how to wield well in his projects like Wild and Season 1 of Big Little Lies, a cinematic invitation to get closer to the characters. At times, Camille’s memories invade the present, and elsewhere, it seems as if she’s walking through the past. All eight episodes of Sharp Objects are directed by the late Vallée, whose sudden death in 2021 made this miniseries his last directorial work, where his fluid directing and editing conjure the intoxicating allure of the Southern Gothic genre.
The Women of ‘Sharp Objects’ Are Monsters, Hurting, or Both
Sydney Sweeney has a small role as Alice, a roommate during Camille’s stay at a mental health clinic, and despite the age gap, they bond over their troubles until a heartbreaking outcome. Alice reminds Camille about the young sister she lost as a kid, and most of the music Camille listens to is from Alice’s playlist. Jackie (Elizabeth Perkins) is Camille’s boozy aunt, Adora’s estranged sister, who has self-medicated and becomes jovial and gossipy. “I hurt… is all,” she tells her niece, washing down a pill with a sip from a Bloody Mary. Amma, Camille’s teen half-sister, knows how to play the room, being the obedient child with her mother and a scathing figure among her friends and everyone else she wants to target. During Camille’s night out high and rollerskating, Amma tags along. In one menacing shot, Amma swoops in toward her older sister, and it’s uncertain whether she wants to hurt or hug Camille.
Then there is Adora, a regal woman who steps through her grand mansion in heels and gowns like the unofficial “queen of Wind Gap” she views herself as. She treats her husband, Alan (Henry Czerny), like a servant, matched by the romantic tension that simmers between Adora and haggard Chief Vickery (Matt Craven), who share drinks during meetings that verge on rekindling feelings they never acted upon. But Adora is not a kind woman, and her nails and stilettos are as jagged as the insults she directs at Camille. “She’s a rare rose,” Adora describes her eldest child, “but not without thorns.” While Sharp Objects has a captivating murder mystery to solve, there is another, more important mystery that needs to be unlocked: Who is Camille? Why is she self-destructive? “You’re not there to solve the mystery,” her boss Frank (Miguel Sandoval) tells her, one of the few people who genuinely care about Camille’s well-being, but he has no idea sending her back home will be a critical error.
Gillian Flynn Creates Another Great Character in Camille Preaker
Through Amy Adams’ portrayal, Camille is tired and quiet on the exterior, while her interior is bursting with pain and fear. She drinks heavily, armed with water bottles that she has refilled with vodka. Adams has the talent to deliver the internal monologues from Gillian Flynn’s novel, but those are left out; instead, the editing does the work as broken memories are pieced together, whether she wants them to be or not. There are hidden Easter eggs in each episode where simple words are carved into various settings (a car, a desk) without calling attention to themselves, and these are words (vanish, dirt, cherry) that are on Camille’s body, which she has cut into her skin as a form of self-harm. In slowly understanding her, Amy Adams brings to life Gillian Flynn’s tragic antihero.
Adams is terrific in the role, as the actress disappears and Camille takes over. There are so many car rides to get from one place in Wind Gap to another, and with Camille’s declining mental health, Adams seems drained. One reason she is moving is because of muscle memory; her foot is on the gas, and she’s drifting onto the next location. There are lots of fans placed in old homes without AC units, spinning mindlessly to cool down nearby occupants. They are symbolic of the cycle of violence that is prevalent in Wind Gap, a small town that is a hostile environment where murdered young girls are not the only casualties. When the miniseries begins to crack open the worst memories and horrible truths, Camille verges on falling apart completely, but she’s a survivor too and even if she denies it, she fights like hell to keep going.
Of the three Gillian Flynn adaptations, Gone Girl is her most popular, although her second novel, Dark Places, didn’t earn the best movie adaptation in 2015, despite having Charlize Theron in the starring role. Until Flynn writes her next book, and it inevitably gets the film or TV treatment, the author’s first novel remains an underrated Gothic thriller, both on the page and on the screen. Sharp Objects creeps up onto the viewer, slow and sticky like molasses, and will be tough to forget long after the final episode concludes.
Sharp Objects is streaming on Max.

Kristen Stewart May Move to Europe to Avoid ‘Civil War’
Kristen Stewart may be the next A-lister to move out of the U.S. for political reasons.
“If the midterms don’t start a Civil War, that’d be cool. I dream this,” Stewart, 36, told Owen Thiele on the Thursday, August 13, episode of the “In Your Dreams” podcast. “I don’t want to leave. I like it here. But I will [leave].”
Stewart was discussing her current “big dream” with Thiele, 29, and her The Wrong Girls costar Alia Shawkat on the podcast when the host asked whether she was seriously considering moving to Europe depending on the results of November’s midterm elections.
“It’s a privileged thing to say but even on a smaller scale, an escape hatch is totally f***ing necessary,” Stewart replied.
The Twilight actress has a notorious history with President Donald Trump, as the politician routinely insulted her during her past relationship with ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson.
Four years before his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump, 80, tweeted that Stewart “cheated on [Pattinson] like a dog” and urged the actor to dump her. (At the time, Stewart had publicly apologized to then-boyfriend Pattinson, 40, for having a fling with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.)
“[Trump] was mad at me a couple years ago, really obsessed with me a couple years ago, which is f***ing crazy,” Stewart later told Variety in 2016. “I can’t even understand it. I literally cannot even understand it. It’s such a far-out concept that I don’t want to believe that actually is happening. It’s insane.”
Stewart would be far from the first celebrity to move out of the U.S. over political disagreements with the Trump administration.
Ellen DeGeneres confirmed during a July 2025 interview that she and wife Portia de Rossi chose to make a “part-time” move to the U.K. permanent after Trump beat former Vice President Kamala Harris in the November 2024 presidential election.
“We got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, ‘He got in’,” DeGeneres, 68, recalled. “And we’re like, ‘We’re staying here’.”
Rosie O’Donnell moved to Ireland in January 2025 on the eve of her longtime nemesis Trump’s second inauguration amid his threats to revoke her citizenship. (O’Donnell has since returned to the U.S. on a temporary basis for her one-woman Off-Broadway show Common Knowledge.)
“I know myself enough to know that this was something I needed to do for the safety and sanity of myself and my non-binary child,” O’Donnell, 64, exclusively told Us in April 2025.
The midterm elections will be held on November 3 to determine which major party controls the House of Representatives and the Senate in 2027.

Big Brother 28: Week 6 HOH Battle Delivers Stunning New Leader
Big Brother fans, we’ve got your week 6 Head of Household comp results, who the new HOH is targeting, who was thrown under the bus and what clueless individual thinks she’s about to win a power in BB28.
Big Brother 28: The Play for Power
First let’s talk time capsule powers. Haley Thogmartin told Angela Murray that she’s quite sure she’ll get America’s vote and win the time capsule. Plus, Haley thinks America will reward her because she was bullied all week long.
Haley told Kamu Kirk the same thing. We’re going to see the look on Haley’s face like it was at the eviction where they flipped the vote on her. Based on popularity polls, it’s most likely going to be Melody Morris or Drew Campbell that gets it.
And speaking of people with powers. Some people seem to think Rick Devens‘ Diamond Power of Veto expires this week because it’s week 6. To clarify: Devens’ DPOV was good for the next 6 weeks after he won it.
So, Devens’ power is good until the veto meeting that happens in real time on August 31st and that airs on the Wednesday, September 2nd episode. The advantage was designed by production to carry til jury.
Big Brother 28: Haley Drops a Bomb
Speaking of Big Brother’s house dad, Barrett Pfeiffer got out of Have Not status the other night but that left him sleeping in the pods. And all 6’6″ of him wouldn’t fit. So he went and crawled in bed with Devens.
And like a good dad, Devens didn’t even blink. He just patted Barrett’s arm and scooched over to make room. On the plus side, at least everyone says Barrett smells good unlike he who shall not be named.
After the HOH comp, Haley was spilling tea all over. Angela told Haley she was sorry for screaming at her and Angela said she heard Kamu brought her upstairs for good TV.
Haley dropped the bomb that it was Dee Valladares who told Kamu to bring Angela up. She’s lied to Angela’s face before, but that’s truth. Haley also told Angela if she wins HOH, she’s nominating Dee.
Big Brother 28: Week 6 Nominations and House Drama
Then, Angela drifted back to Dee to ask how it is with Haley and if it’s all good. And Angela lied to Dee’s face and said it was. So, she thinks Haley’s fine with them.
Next, Haley told Drew that on her HOH, the ToolShed was gunning to evict him. Mind you, Drew’s been told this before but hasn’t believed it. He asked Haley who specifically wanted out and she wouldn’t name names.
Later, Drew talked to Kamu who confirmed the ToolShed was gunning for Drew. Only Kamu decided to name names. One name in particular – he said Dee was gunning for Drew.
And Haley and Taylor hashed out some of their beef. She told Haley that she told Lala Verrett not to nominate Haley. Later, Taylor got onto Lala and said be more chill and less mean. Taylor told Lala people are disappointed in her.
Taylor said lay low but Lala didn’t seem to pick up what she was laying down. She argued she was justified. Taylor also acknowledged later that she has to distance herself from Lala game-wise. But Taylor didn’t tell Lala that.
Big problem is Haley’s in the house and Lala’s salty that she didn’t get her out on her HOH. She told Angela she doesn’t care if she ever sees Haley again and called her disgusting.
Talking to Haley, Kamu blamed Chuk Anyanwu for coming between them and for bullying him about the veto. Haley and Kamu agreed they do not trust Dee and Devens. Okay now let’s talk head of household comp.
Big Brother 28: Head of House Named
The two guy, two girl alliance were planning strategies in case it was a knock out comp — and it was. Devens pitted Dee and Taylor against each other at one point. Dee also picked Devens. Drew and Barrett weren’t happy with how the icons played the knockout.
They’d been hoping they’d target Kamu. For now, your week 6 HOH is Yash Patel! Now let’s talk about who he’s eyeing for the block. First, Yash made it very clear that Devens is safe. Kamu’s safe too. In fact, all the guys are.
The headcount in the BB28 house right now is 12 houseguests, 7 women and 5 men. So, Yash said he doesn’t want to see dudes go home on his HOH. He told Kamu and Drew they’re disadvantaged.
Kamu and Yash talked about Dee going after Haley and trashing her behind her back. Then Yash called Dee crazy. Yash is referencing a story Dee told about being mad at her sister and shaving off her eyebrow while she slept.
Kamu and Yash compared Dee to Chuk. Then Kamu said it’s one thing to play the game, it’s another to drive someone’s character thru the mud. Kamu called it bullying and said it made him super uncomfortable.

Big Brother 28: Kamu Tries to Secure His Position
Dee took more heat when Kamu told Yash that Dee approached him and said Haley shouldn’t be isolated just because she’s on the block. Kamu told Haley that and she told him Dee was completely avoiding her.
Kamu told Yash, it’s the difference between what you say and do. Kamu’s also mad because Dee apparently told Haley that Kamu was trying to flip the vote on her.
Drew was there for this whole conversation so it could make it back to Dee and the other two icons. Yash told the guys his initial gut is to nominate Angela, Dee and Haley.
Kamu told Yash that makes him happy. Kamu said Angela and Dee have both lied on him to Haley. In this same talk, Drew told Yash he’s fine if he needs to nominate Mallory Aurichio or Melody as pawns.
Drew said he doesn’t want him to but won’t freak out and will do damage control. He promised Yash he’ll reassure the girls and Drew will tell them it’s just to fill seats, they’re not targets.
Kamu coached Yash and explained how he talked to Lyric Medeiros before putting her on the block. He told her she’s a fighter, well-liked and won’t be evicted.
Yash plans to tell Dee and Angela when he nominates them that it’s because they wanted him kept out of the vote info for Chuk’s eviction. Because Kamu told Yash that Dee told him not mention the vote flip to Yash.
Big Brother 28: Haley and Lala’s Bully Battle
Also, Haley and Lala are still at each other’s throats. Haley called her a bully. Devens was stuck in the kitchen looking like he wanted to be anywhere else while they went at each other.
Haley and Lala called each other bullies. Haley says she’s not been mean to one soul in this house. Lala said we can have a house meeting. Haley sassed back, I’m not scared of you girl. Lala called her a passive-aggressive bully. Messy.

Saucy Santana Slams Rumors Of Resurfaced Video About Kids
Saucy Santana has been showing out over the last few months while celebrating the success of his viral single, ‘Quiet On The Creek.’ But things got real loud on the internet as old controversial clips began to resurface. Recently, Santana sat down with Angela Yee for an episode of ‘Lip Service,’ where they discussed the controversy, TikTok, his career, and more.

Saucy Santana Addresses Recent Controversies
Getting into the controversies, Yee brought up backlash Santana faced after reposting a White House video that featured ‘Quiet On The Creek.’ The video reportedly used his song alongside content involving ICE, which sparked criticism toward Santana for sharing the post. Santana explained that he initially reposted the video because he was excited to hear his song being used. He said he later learned more about the context surrounding the post and realized it may have been “rage bait.”
“And so I found out later. I’m like, ‘Oh, okay. This is a rage bait thing maybe…’ I’m like, ‘I’m saying I didn’t mean to.’ And I said this out loud. I said, ‘I didn’t mean to offend anybody.’ I was like, ‘I was just excited that they used my song.’ Went and reposted in real time, unreposted on the live, apologized, and I went about my day,” the rapper said.
Santana then spoke about the internet’s “weird kink””with believing it has the power to cancel him and other celebrities. The artist made it clear that behavior involving children has never been in his character and pushed back against the online narratives. He expressed disgust over what people online are trying to make others believe about him and said that has never represented his character. Santana added that he will not spend his time trying to prove himself to critics already stuck on believing otherwise. In response, Santana shared an older video showing himself shutting down a group of children who appeared to flirt with him.
He suggested the clip challenged the narrative surrounding him and further showed that he has never condoned inappropriate behavior involving children. Santana then defended ‘Quiet On The Creek,’ making it clear that the song has nothing to do with children or child molestation.
“What’s happening right now is God. This is nothing y’all can strip from me. ‘Quiet On The Creek’ is not a song calling on to kids. It’s not about no child molestation, none of the weird sh*t, the stuff y’all talking about on the internet.”
Santana went on to say that he believes his current success is part of a bigger purpose that critics cannot take away. “Y’all want to feel like, ‘We finna take this from him. We finna strip this from him.’ This ain’t luck, it’s purpose, and this what God had destined for Saucy Santana. I have me another hit.”
Social Media Reacts
Many gathered under The Shade Room Teens’ post to react to Saucy Santana addressing the resurfaced clip. Some felt Santana needed to take accountability instead of making excuses for his comments. Others came to his defense, attempting to clarify what they believed Santana meant when he made the remark.
Instagram user @astraaaaea_ wrote, “Uhn uhn it’s too many people making excuses. That was a beyond weird thing to say. It doesn’t matter what he meant, words matter”
Instagram user @jusslikeayanna added. “Lmaooo those were your words tho… just take accountability and move on simple”
While Instagram user @ostacks_4eva wrote, “If he was straight yall would of cooked him 😂but people is finding all the excuses”
Instagram user @jakaylatobler wrote, “I get what he mean but it still ain’t a read to O have said it 😭😭 love Santana though”
Instagram user @pr3tty_brwn_creole added. “Anybody from the age of 21 to 34 is a kid to • me, I honestly don’t think he meant it literally”
While Instagram user @thee.mostbaddest wrote, “When people clear things up yall still have something to say that’s all imma say”
Instagram user @mr_grindhard4 wrote, “He can’t clear that up 🤢🤢🤢”
Instagram user @miraadenisee added, “should’ve just said, you were and just saying crazy shit. u didn’t mean it that would’ve been more sufficient idk wtf this is.”
While Instagram user @sydnee.arielle wrote, “so y’all still quiet on the creek?”
The Story Behind Saucy Santana’s Viral ‘Quiet On The Creek’ Success
Despite the controversies surrounding Santana, the success of his viral hit ‘Quiet On The Creek’ has continued to reach new heights. The song was inspired by a livestream clip where Santana discussed fishing with his family and why he had to remain quiet.
After the clip began trending online, Santana turned the viral moment into a song that quickly took on a life of its own. ‘Quiet On The Creek’ has since been used in more than 4.2 million TikTok videos, with celebrities also joining the viral trend.
Santana kept the momentum going by releasing a music video inspired by his experience at Kai Cenat’s Streamer University. Santana was kicked out after Lizzo snuck him into her class on campus, a moment he later recreated for the visual. The music video also featured familiar content creators, including the Taylor Girlz, Nupe, and more, keeping the viral momentum going.
Additionally, Santana recently had even more reason to celebrate after ‘Quiet On The Creek’ reached No. 45 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The milestone marks Santana’s first appearance on a Billboard chart since 2022.
