Alexandra Daddario recently shared a series of vacation photos, marking one of her most prominent posts since ending her marriage.

The actress, 40, uploaded the candid photos to her Instagram account, giving her 22.5 million followers a glimpse into her latest getaway at an undisclosed location.

The Instagram update comes seven months after Alexandra Daddario officially filed for divorce from her husband, film producer Andrew Form, following nearly four years of marriage and the birth of her child.

In the photographs Daddario posted, she poses on a lounge chair wearing a blue and white checkered bikini. She appears au naturel, with her brunette hair falling around her face.

Another image shows the actress in a white dress adorned with floral patterns and featuring a cutout on her side.

Fans swiftly flooded the actress’s comment section with sweet messages, praising her for her stunning figure and candid snaps.

A fan wrote, “Pretty woman! Rare beauty,” while another noted, “If she broke my heart, I would apologize…”

The photographs were shared several months after Daddario closed the chapter on her marriage to Form.

According to People Magazine, a representative for the former couple confirmed the separation and said, “The decision was made with love and respect.”

The rep added that the pair would “continue to co-parent their child together and appreciate privacy as they navigate this transition.”

Daddario and Form first had their fateful meeting in New York City at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a 2022 Vogue report surrounding their “laid-back” wedding, Daddario recalled that the pair had a chance encounter while on a walk downtown.

“He was also on a walk, and we passed each other downtown. He turned back and said ‘hi’ just as I was turning around to glance back at him,” the actress revealed.

The encounter led to a dinner invitation to which Daddario replied, “okay.” She joked that it was against her “better judgment” because, as she says, “Nowadays, you’re supposed to meet people on dating apps!”

Daddario and Form’s first date reportedly took place near a fire in the Greenwich Hotel downstairs living room. Form proposed while the pair were together at the Four Seasons, and they married in June 2022 in New Orleans.

Their wedding was held at Preservation Hall because they were “trying to achieve a laid-back aesthetic”

The actress explained that they loved the look of the hall, “it was so old, so historic; it lets its age and ‘flaws’ show. That’s what makes it so beautiful. We wanted it to be about music, drinking, and authentic New Orleans.”

Alexandra Daddario Got Candid About Pregnancy Struggles

Daddario started her married life with Form, becoming a stepmother to his two children, Rowan and Julian, whom he had with his ex-wife, Jordana Brewster.

The actress announced the birth of her son on October 31, 2024. She had kept the news of her pregnancy private for six months before announcing it publicly.

In another Vogue report, she described the difficulty of keeping her pregnancy out of the public eye: “I want to be able to not have to hide and have someone print a photo of me eating a bagel at the bodega.”

The 40-year-old was happy being pregnant, especially because she had previously lost a pregnancy, which was very painful for her.

She said, “Those kinds of losses and trauma are very hard to explain unless you’ve been through them. I really relate to all the women who have been through those kinds of things in a way that I didn’t understand fully before. It’s very, very painful.”

Speaking of her baby, she told People Magazine, “I’m very lucky. He’s a great baby. He’s just brought so much joy and peace in my life, so I recommend it to anyone who wants a kid.”

Although the estranged couple has yet to officially speak on their divorce, sources close to the situation hinted at the reason for their separation.

An insider told the Daily Mail that Daddario and Form’s relationship did not end abruptly and instead suffered a “consistent loss of love.”

According to the news outlet, the romance which started out “hot and heavy” slowly lost its spark, ultimately making the husband and wife to drift apart.

Daddario’s vacation update offers another slight look into her new chapter after the end of her almost four-year marriage.

The actress has continued her career in television and film. She is slated to return to the theaters on November 25 with her biographical drama “Hershey,” where she plays Catherine “Kitty” Hershey alongside Finn Wittrock.

She remains single post-divorce, and as her Instagram carousel indicates, she is currently focused on her vacation and travel moments as well as raising her infant child.

The Resident Evil franchise has been scoffed at for years, with several extremely clever and fun, genuinely idiosyncratic films caught in the crossfire. While Paui W. S. Anderson‘s initial film is decently regarded, Alexander Witt’s attempt at a follow-up is widely, and correctly, viewed as a disaster. And the less said about Johannes Roberts’ reboot attempt or the Netflix series, the better. The series got back on track when Anderson retook the reins in 2010 and directed Resident Evil: Afterlife, though, and an absurdly under-rated trio of genre thrill-rides followed.

And Resident Evil: Retribution is the Empire Strikes Back of that rough trilogy. That is, a darker, stranger middle chapter that beautifully escalates the stakes for the heroes and redefines the terms of the battle. Anderson’s likely masterpiece, the film is also the single most accurate and powerful translation of the mechanics and idiosyncrasies of video-game storytelling into cinematic form. When celebrated Barbarian and Weapons director Zach Cregger‘s reboot releases this week, it’s almost certain to be a thrilling ride — but it faces stiff existing competition from what Anderson achieved, purely in terms of adaptation.

What Do I Have to Know Before Watching ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’?

If you have a basic knowledge of the games’ premise, you should be able to follow the film with very little prep work. Anderson’s series began with Alice (Anderson’s wife, Milla Jovovich) waking up in the fabled Spencer Manor in the aftermath of a devastating lab leak that saw the T-Virus infecting and devastating Raccoon City, and then later the world. However, as the scope and ludicrousness of the series expands, there’s little viewers can trust, from identities (Alice herself is a clone) to physical spaces that are often revealed to be virtual approximations. The series begins injecting gloriously realized characters from the games as players, all with their own agendas.

Resident Evil: Retribution begins with an extremely slowed-down and reversed version of an attack Umbrella forces waged on Alice and her allies in the final moments of Resident Evil: Afterlife. The explosive, sea-bound sequence is so immersive and breathtakingly realized that even non-fans of the franchise should quickly be able to get on board. And after Alice is taken captive to an Umbrella training base, the film deliberately breaks down into a series of set pieces, with clone-Alice battling through memories of her past and conjured Umbrella spaces designed to test her skill. Anderson renders all of them lovingly, though, and genre-aware viewers will find an easy point of attachment in each, as the film accelerates toward an explosive, extremely video-game conclusion.

‘Resident Evil: Retribution’ Is the Ultimate Game Adaptation — and Other Filmmakers Should Take Note

From its first, reversed frames, Resident Evil: Retribution embraces video-game logic. Suburban homes under attack by zombies that uncannily recall Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead remake give way to underground facilities and the magically conjured, extremely PlayStation 3-esque rain-soaked streets of Tokyo. Continuity is out the window, and Anderson trusts the viewer (especially the video-game conversant viewer) to keep up. From the series’ first entry, Anderson made it clear that he has a magisterial command of space and blocking. He never attempted to emotionally involve viewers in the lore of Resident Evil, but rather drew you into a complete experience — one that comes to fruition in Retribution and, eventually, The Final Chapter.

Anderson’s protagonists, even when they come directly from the games, are battling an all-consuming corporate force that’s warped and transformed their priorities for years, and even with this subversive take on the game series’ overarching lore, it’s a purely exhilarating spectacle. It’s just a beautiful series of bloody corridors, and you’re on the side of whoever the “player” character is. Afterlife, Retribution, and The Final Chapter are almost perfect examples of video game logic on the big screen, with a finale that is remarkably moving for those who’ve been following along through the series.

Cregger is set to do serious numbers at the box office, as projected by Collider, but he’s got genuine competition in terms of transposing the feel of a video game onto the big screen. Despite the long-maligned lineage of attempted video game films, including even accidental masterpieces like 1993’s Super Mario Bros., few have gotten it as pitch-perfect as Anderson. Here’s hoping his original films recapture streaming audiences’ imagination, no matter what kind of bloody hat-trick that Cregger pulls off.

Hey, General Hospital fans, we have got your early weekly spoilers for the week of September 21st with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in the hot seat and likely publicly arrested by Agent William Baines (Alimi Ballard) by the end of the week. Plus, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) storms out and runs to rant to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Also in the week of September 21st-25th, we’ll see Ava Jerome (Maura West) annoyed, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) doing some digging and lots and lots more. And as we always do on early edition day, we’re going to cover what’s going on the rest of this week. Then we’ll get into what is coming next week. Good stuff. Let’s dive right in.

General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Enraged

We’re going to pick up from Tuesday’s episode with Carly looking not too happy with what she sees when she comes to the door of Anna Devane‘s (Finola Hughes) apartment. So, looks like Carly may storm off and then we’re going to have Anna telling Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), “You need to go after her.” And then Carly is challenging Valentin on Wednesday. Hot on the heels of him offering to run out of town with Anna, which is crazy. We’re going to see Carly questioning the depth of Valentin’s feelings for his ex Anna.

It’s kind of bizarre that Valentin was going to bail on Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) to help Anna run off. Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) makes a promise. It’s to Ava. She’s warning Drew “A man like Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) doesn’t just disappear.” And then Drew is telling Ava, “I promise they are not going to be looking in your direction.” Yeah, he knows that. Also, she’s asking Drew, “How exactly are we going to deal with that?” And I’m sure it’s more Jack related stuff.

GH Spoilers: Sonny Feels for Nina

Sonny offers his help to Nina. I think she’s going to tell Sonny that Baines questioned her about Brennan. And it looks like his wallet is found this week. And we know it’s in Nina’s car thanks to Drew planting it there. Sonny tells Nina every truce is an opportunity to reload.

We also have Anna making a sacrifice. She may tell Valentin he needs to stay out of her life. You know, Anna’s in crisis and she’s not going to accept Valentin’s offer to run off. But we may also see Anna check herself into Shadybrook to avoid being stashed in a WSB facility.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) is emotionally crushed. We’ve got Brook Lynn telling Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) on Wednesday, “I might have a way to fix it, but I’m not sure that he will hear me out since he told Alexis he’s seriously considering divorcing her.” Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) tries to get somebody to help Brook Lynn. Tracy is saying, “You can help convince Chase to forgive her. It would be wild if Tracy was appealing to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). She would never help because she wants Chase for herself.

General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Breaks Down

Thursday, September 17th on General Hospital. Nina cracks under the pressure. I suspect this might be after her car is searched and Jack’s wallet is found there. Ava looks alarmed while standing behind Sonny at the Metro Court this week. And that may be them watching when Baines tells somebody they’re under arrest.

I think he’s going to slap handcuffs on Nina, which will worry both Ava and Sonny. Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) is questioned by Sonny, who’s pressing ADA Turner for info. Sonny may try to find out the basis for Nina’s arrest. Sonny may also ask Justine if the PCPD is pursuing anything with Anna. Justine’s going to figure out what Sonny’s up to, and I think she may not like Sonny pumping her for info.

GH Spoilers: Jordan Flips Out

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) gives somebody a piece of her mind. I suspect it’s Brook Lynn. At that point, if Chase has dumped Brook Lynn, we could see her dumping, bringing the dumping back up when she is clapping back at Jordan. She may tell her exactly what she lost for these lies, that she’s not unscathed. Carly’s talking to Jason.

I think it’s about catching Valentin with Anna, possibly about Nina being arrested over Jack, and also whether things have changed with Jason and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Ava’s going off on Drew. She’s going to know he framed Nina immediately. Once Ava hears Jack’s wallet was found in Nina’s car, Ava knows it was taken off Jack’s body, which means it was Drew.

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) goes to see Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) in Pentonville. I bet they’re going to talk about Brook Lynn and her lies causing a domino effect. But Curtis needs to own his ill-tempered role in this because he chose to assault Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) with zero evidence. And even if there was evidence, still wrong to assault him.

General Hospital Spoilers: Lucas & Joe Get Closer

Friday, September 18th, on General Hospital. Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) sees Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) with someone. So, Molly might be picking up on a vibe between the new roommates. Willow hears something alarming. I suspect this may be that her mom, Nina, was arrested by the WSB for Jack Brennan’s disappearance. Drew taking down the security cameras at the Metro Court for his break-in means that Nina has no alibi, even though she actually had one. Nothing provable.

Valentin and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) get together. I’m assuming it’s about Charlotte. That’s the only thing that Valentin and Lulu have in common. Speaking of Charlotte, she leaps into action with Nina likely arrested this week. We’ll see what Charlotte does. She may tell her dad Valentin what she knows about Jack, or she may run to Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) and panic and tell him about this new development.

GH Spoilers: Liz Stuns Dante

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizabeth Webber are chatting at the PCPD this week, and Dante’s surprised by what Elizabeth has to say. This may be about a case, the softball rivalry, something more personal. Maybe Elizabeth is following up on Dante’s injured leg, and Elizabeth may suspect he’s not following doctor’s orders.

Then, the week of September 21st-25th, things are looking dire for Nina because she’s likely arrested because Drew framed her for Brennan‘s disappearance, which is really his death. But nobody knows that yet except for Drew and Ava.

General Hospital Spoilers: Charlotte & Danny at Risk

Charlotte and Danny may also fall under suspicion because someone’s going to keep trying to get back to the dump site and dig up Brennan. And when they do, Charlotte’s bracelet may be found on Jack. We’ll see if Nina’s able to get bail since the WSB arresting her usually means some other facility, but they may temporarily stash Nina at the PCPD in a holding cell.

I’m interested to see if it’ll be Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) handling Nina’s defense. Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner) is struggling with what’s going on with Anna. She’s enraged at Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and at Britt, even though it’s Josslyn who’s the one who turned Anna in. Britt’s upset and worried, but hasn’t gone to the cops about Anna, at least not yet.

GH Spoilers: Will Carly & Valentin Survive?

Carly and Valentin are at a crossroads because of the Anna crisis. Now, Valentin has assured Carly he’s moved on and cares about Anna, but then we saw Valentin ready to run off out of town with Anna. So, her crisis may have reignited Valentin’s feelings or just recalled them because they never went away.

Ava is steamed at Drew over Nina’s arrest, but Ava’s hands are tied because anything she does to implicate Drew also implicates herself. But Ava may still look for a way to help Nina if she can. Ava just can’t let Drew know if that’s what she’s planning to do because he’s psycho and vengeful.

Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) continues to sneak around behind Drew’s back, but I’m sure he’s going to catch Scout soon with Alexis or Danny, maybe even Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr). And it feels like the clock is ticking on Scout going into full-scale teen rebellion against Drew. I absolutely hope she gives him hell.

General Hospital Spoilers: Hudson May Go After Pheobe

Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel) soon finds out about Chase and Brook Lynn splitting, assuming nobody talks Chase out of walking out on Brook Lynn. And Hudson may decide it’s time to take action to get his daughter Phoebe out of this messy situation. We’ll also find out more soon about Hudson and who he’s really answering to rumored to be a new villain coming to Port Charles.

Also, more soon on what Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is up to with Curtis as they’re both behind bars sharing a cell in Pentonville. And the PCPD auction of Sidwell’s properties is long overdue. We were told it was supposed to be the middle of September. We have heard that somebody buys Wyndemere out from under Valentin. That remains to be seen. Plus, Drew wants to buy Sonny’s property out from under him. So, this is all a really big deal.

‘Spider-Noir’ (2026)

For a Marvel series that is certainly out-of-the-box, Spider-Noir is a one-and-done is a Depression-era re-imagining of comic book’s most famous wall-crawler. Nicolas Cage, himself no stranger to superhero fare (or even this character), plays private detective Ben Reilly, a down-on-his-luck sleuth who moonlights as “The Spider.” Of course, he’s not the only super-powered game in town.

Filled to the brim with classic noir film references and a style that works either in “True-Hue” color or black-and-white, Spider-Noir is a superhero show that doesn’t allow the usual comic book conventions to drag it down. Instead, this is a detective tale that doubles as a superhero story, complete with femme fatales and mood lighting in spades. With under ten episodes, it makes for a quick binge too.

‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series’ (2011–2013)

Green Lantern: The Animated Series has gotten more attention from fans in recent years, and rightfully show. As arguably the best Green Lantern adaptation out there (and one of the greatest animated shows under 40 episodes), the 3D animated program sends Green Lanterns Hal Jordan (Josh Keaton) and Kilowog (Kevin Michael Richardson) into uncharted “Frontier Space” to deal with a new threat that’s taking out other officers across the galaxy. Only, as they do, they discover a true threat to the universe.

In addition to bringing to life classic Green Lanterns from the comics, GLTAS also introduces brand-new characters who have become fan-favorites in recent years. The Red Lantern Razer (Jason Spisak) undergoes his own stunning redemption arc as the AI “Aya” (Grey DeLisle) discovers not only her origins but her place in the universe. Perfect for kids and adults alike, Green Lantern is everything comic fans wished Lanterns would unashamedly embrace.

‘The Spectacular Spider-Man’ (2008–2009)

If Spider-Noir is too far removed from traditional portrayals of Spider-Man for you, then give The Spectacular Spider-Man a chance. Not only does the show modernize some of Spidey’s most famous early adventures, but it does so in a way that both honors the material while simultaneously forging its own identity apart from it. It’s the sort of adaptation that is truly the best of both worlds.

Josh Keaton proves once more that he’s one of the best in the animation business, playing Peter Parker this time around as he navigates both his complicated personal life and his even more complicated role as a superhero. Although it didn’t last long, The Spectacular Spider-Man made an unmistakable impact on Spidey fans everywhere, and few other animated adaptations come close. Don’t sleep on some of the very best episodes, they’ll have you wishing for more.

‘WandaVision’ (2021)

Part superhero love story, part supervillain origin story, WandaVision is one of the most off-the-walls takes on superheroes ever put onto the small screen. After the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) has settled in middle America with Vision (Paul Bettany), whom she has somehow resurrected from the dead. As they fight to preserve their nuclear family, things get a bit wacky.

WandaVision is a strange love letter to several eras of television that doubles as a superhero-themed mystery. It’s like nothing you would ever expect, and yet, concludes the same way many MCU outings do. However you rank the best Disney+ MCU shows, you’re in for a treat with this one. If you add Agatha All Along and Vision Quest as direct sequels (and throw in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness for good measure), it still equals a runtime of under 40 episodes.

‘Agent Carter’ (2015–2016)

A direct spin-off from Hayley Atwell‘s role in Captain America: The First Avenger, Agent Carter follows Peggy as she works for the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) — a precursor to S.H.I.E.L.D. — in stopping Hydra from furthering its influence. As a prequel to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, the two-season ABC program produced some great episodes that expanded the MCU beyond the big screen. It’s a bit more spy-oriented than capes and superpowers, but we’ll let that slide.

Agent Carter may not be your traditional superhero story, but it reminds us that those who stand behind our favorite heroes (in this case Captain America) can be just as heroic as their super-powered counterparts. Peggy has certainly earned her place in the Marvel canon. Of course, if you want to see a superhero version of Peggy take charge, What If…? is probably your best bet on that front.

‘Loki’ (2021–2023)

If WandaVision was a superhero-turned-supervillain story, then Marvel reversed course with Loki. Beginning with a time-displaced variant of the God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) introduced in Avengers: Endgame, Loki expands on the psychology of the character as he is forced to come to terms with his own “glorious purpose.” For Loki, that means learning some humility and becoming a hero like his estranged brother — even if few are present to appreciate his sacrifice.

Loki is the type of hero’s journey that strips us of everything we thought we knew about the titular character (indeed, it erases all his character development post-The Avengers) and makes him the lynchpin that keeps the entire timeline — and multiverse — at bay. Not only is Loki a great superhero series, but it’s the sort of mind-bending sci-fi that comic book fans crave. It’s certainly one that gets time travel right.

‘Krypton’ (2018–2019)

While most Superman-related programs go beyond 40 episodes, Krypton was the outlier that only ran two seasons on Syfy. This prequel series combines several eras of the Man of Steel to craft a Krypton that is as politically, religiously, and economically complex as some of the best sci-fi tales out there, and follows Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), as he seeks to ensure that his descendant still comes into existence after time-traveling adventurer Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos) arrives on his world.

Everyone may know where a show like Krypton was ultimately headed, but the time-traveling shenanigans of Strange and General Dru-Zod (Colin Salmon) throw a wrench into that. Anything could happen, especially once Brainiac (Blake Ritson) showed up to change the game and use his limited knowledge of the future to change course. Krypton always deserved more love, and certainly ranks high on our list of Superman TV shows.

‘The New Batman Adventures’ (1997–1999)

Some may consider The New Batman Adventures synonymous with Batman: The Animated Series, and we certainly understand the impulse. However, between newcomers like the Tim Drake Robin (Matthew Valencia), new character designs, and sleeker style, it’s easy to see why so many separate these Batman (Kevin Conroy) tales from the rest. Still, some of the best episodes rival its predecessor.

Following Gotham City’s Caped Crusader and his cohorts, The New Batman Adventures is arguably more of the same when compared to the initial Bruce Timm series, though with fewer episodes and more crossover potential with Superman: The Animated Series. If you love Batman and are already through the original animated series, then there’s no reason not to revisit its successor. It also doubles as a fine prequel to Batman Beyond.

‘Daredevil’ (2015–2018)

In just under 40 episodes, Daredevil proved itself to be one of the very best superhero adaptations out there. Sure, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is technically a vigilante when he’s Daredevil, but his superheroics save New York (and especially Hell’s Kitchen) from destruction again and again. The grounded, gritty take on the Marvel character doesn’t apologize for its masked hero, and instead justifies his existence with each episode.

Daredevil was part of Netflix’s partnership with Marvel to craft several television shows that ultimately led to The Defenders crossover miniseries (essential viewing that takes place between Daredevil‘s second and third seasons). Of course, the series has continued in recent years with Daredevil: Born Again, but there’s nothing quite like the original. Daredevil not only has better action than Born Again, but it’s a far more introspective and philosophical take on the Man Without Fear.

The Young and the Restless  early spoilers for the week, kicking off September 21st with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) getting totally hooked on her dirty secret fling. She starts telling big lies soon. Plus, crazy Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) attacks someone, but which of her targets does she hit first?

Also, the week of September 21st-25th, we’re going to see Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) crossing lines, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) fears for his family, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) losing patience. And as always, on early edition day, we’re going to get into what’s going on the rest of this week. Then we dive into next week’s spoilers. So, let’s get to it.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Romance All Over GC

Wednesday, September 16th on Y&R. Billy tells Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) he’s making her a peanut butter and sauerkraut pizza, but he needs her help. Billy brings out ingredients so that Sally can help, and she’s reading over the recipe. But Billy is dejected because his crust is soggy, but Sally’s really sweet. They start over and then Billy and Sally get sidelined by sex while their pizza is in the oven and it burns so they wind up ordering takeout.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) invites Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) over because he’s going stir crazy during recovery. Nate wants to drink and play board games. Stephanie’s all in and wants to cook, but Nate says, “Let’s order takeout.” They wind up flirting, dancing, and kissing. And then Stephanie and Nate take things to the bedroom.

Stephanie helps unbutton when Nate struggles with his bandaged hand. And afterward, Stephanie wonders what Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will think about this, but in the end, Stephanie assumes that Holden will just want to see her happy.

Y&R Spoilers: Kyle & Victoria Can’t Quit Each Other

Victoria meets Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) for another steamy sex session. Victoria tells Kyle to leave the lights off and be quiet. And then Victoria plays dominatrix and she’s blindfolding Kyle. And Victoria is tormenting and teasing him with some ice. Then they get really wild and frisky. Kyle wants to keep on with this secret fling and Victoria talks about setting official terms and conditions for this situationship. Kyle agrees to absolute secrecy and Victoria is worried that somebody will find out. So, she and Kyle agree to keep meeting at the hotel since it’s the place he and Victoria are least likely to be spotted.

Kyle lingers while Victoria leaves first and later Kyle is thinking back to Victoria dominate him and teasing him with ice. He’s up at the coffee shop and Kyle’s shocked out of this when Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) offers more ice. He’s had quite enough. And then she asks if Kyle is glowing because he and Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) reunited. He says no. Kyle texts Victoria saying next time he’ll be the one calling the shots. At her place, Victoria skulks in and finds Claire eating pizza. Victoria is curious about where she was and asks Claire how she’s doing. Victoria smiles at Kyle’s naughty text and then she lies to Claire and claims it’s a funny gif from her assistant.

Young and Restless Spoilers: Phyllis At a Dead End

Thursday, September 17th on The Young and the Restless, Phyllis finds herself at a dead end on her mission to help Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). They were really hoping to take down Patty and turn her into the cops so that Matt and Phyllis would both be redeemed. But Patty never showed up at the motel because she and Mr. Kitty decided Jack and his heart attack were her priority.

At Crimson Lights this week, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is out of rehab and sitting with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and they’re watching Phyllis and Matt having a tense conversation. I wonder if Sharon’s going to call out Phyllis for telling her that Matt left town when he has clearly done no such thing. And Phyllis is clearly far from done with Matt.

Y&R Spoilers: Patty Toys with Jack & Diane

Patty is going to send an ominous message to Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is going to be very alarmed. We know Patty is still trying to get Diane out of the picture. And of course, Patty will do absolutely anything to have Jack all herself. Patty wants to eliminate Phyllis also shows she can use Matt as her partner in crime.

But Patty’s very worried about Jack and she isn’t going to go away quietly. Neither will Mr. Kitty. This week, Kyle talks to Jack and Diane at the Abbott Mansion, so it looks like Jack doesn’t stay at the hospital too long. I mean, they can’t have him clogging up a bed with a fake coronary when other people need actual medical attention.

Nick has checked out of rehab earlier than he should, partly, I think, because of Marie leaving. Victor is determined to protect Nick and ensure that his son stays clean. So, Victor’s going to make a difficult decision. I’m betting it’s something very controlling that Nick’s not going to like one bit.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Tries to Make Peace

Friday, September 18th, on The Young and the Restless, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) approaches Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) with an olive branch. Cane just told Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) exactly how much that he loves and cares for her. And Cane talked to her about what he wants for their future and he’s all in with Lily and that means Cane’s got to get along better with her brother Devon.

Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) gets support from Phyllis about his new enterprise. Most likely this is about Daniel working at the Shadow Room. And I wonder if Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) going to share some of his ownership stake with Daniel.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is there for Sally when she’s going through a tough time. Other than the pizza incident, Sally seems to be doing okay, but is worried about Patty being a danger to the Abbotts. So, I hope it’s not any kind of complication Sally has.

Young and Restless Spoilers: Kyle & Victoria Double Down

September 21st-25th on The Young and the Restless, Kyle and Victoria’s affair keeps heating up, and will people notice they are disappearing at odd times. We’ll see both Kyle and Victoria lying right to their loved ones’ faces. We’re also going to see if Cane makes any progress with Devon.

Honestly, it seems like a long shot because Devon’s been awful to Lily about Cane. He’s been awful about Holden. I mean, heck, Devon’s been pretty much awful about everything lately. Also, some secret from Lily’s past is about to pop up and cause her problems in the present.

Patty is still plotting against Diane and Phyllis. We know that Patty really wants to kidnap Jack and have him all to herself, but Matt and Phyllis continue plotting to entrap Patty for their own motives. I think they should just kidnap Mr. Kitty and then Patty will show up wherever they want.

Y&R Spoilers: Victor Plays Dirty

Also, Victor may weaponize Patty against Jack and Diane while hiding it from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) since Victor just begrudgingly promised Nikki he’d stay out of the Patty situation. Phyllis is there for Daniel and has solid advice for him when he reaches a crossroads.

Also, Phyllis is soon gonna get a big win and it may be about Patty and then Phyllis finds herself at her own crossroads in life and it involves Matt. Too bad that Victor is far from done with Matt and still plans to target him.

We have Nick out of rehab, but his struggles are far from over. Nick does seem to have a handle on fighting his demons now, but we may see him trying to reach out to Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) because Nick can’t stop thinking about her. And I doubt Marie is gone for good.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Patty Still after Jack & Diane

Diane is increasingly terrified as Patty orbits them and keeps taunting and making threats. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is also worried about Jack and worried that Victor might insert himself into this Patty mess and make everything worse and get him in trouble with Nikki.

Between worrying about Patty being a risk to Jack and Sally’s pregnancy and their upcoming wedding, Billy’s focus stays off Chancellor for now, which is a good thing. Also, Nikki gets busy working to launch Vibrante, but she may notice that Victoria is missing in action without explanation. And of course, it’s because she’s sneaking off to do the deed with Kyle. And Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is like a shark who sniffs blood in the water. I think she might notice a vibe between Victoria and Kyle.

The Bold and the Beautiful  early weekly spoilers for the week starting September 21st with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) making a desperate demand so his life does not implode. And we’re going to have Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) completely stunned by something Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) says and does.

Also, in the week of September 21st-25th we’ll see Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) shocked and completely thrilled. Plus, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) is there when Finn needs his mom again. And as we always do on early edition day, we’re going to talk about the rest of this week and then we will dive into all the good stuff coming next week. So, let’s get into it.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Daphne Confides in Ridge & Taylor

Wednesday, September 16th on B&B. We’ve got Daphne continuing her talk with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) that began on Tuesday’s episode. And Ridge has a crucial question for Daphne. Ridge asks, “As long as you and Carter get the baby you want, does it really matter who helps you?” It does. So Daphne tells Ridge and Taylor that she would really prefer if the surrogate was somebody that she and Carter know and trust.

Also resuming from Tuesday’s episode over at Steffy’s place, we have Carter still desperately pleading with Steffy. As you heard on Tuesday, Carter began pitching to Steffy that he had a way out of this mess that’ll save both of their marriages. Carter asked Steffy to agree to be the egg donor and surrogate for him and Daphne. Carter will say that he knows Steffy doesn’t want to hurt Daphne.

And finding out that Steffy is pregnant with his child when Daphne can’t get pregnant by Carter will be soul crushing. But if Steffy agrees to the donor and surrogacy scheme, everything can stay hidden. I don’t know though if Carter has thought this through the nature of exactly what he’s asking because it is for Steffy to give up a child that she’s already carrying.

B&B Spoilers: Steffy on Board

But maybe Carter is convincing and she’ll be open to it. I think it’s going to happen because it would be the exact same thing as her giving a frozen egg or serving as the surrogate legitimately for Daphne. In the end, I’m certain Carter is going to convince Steffy. Once Finn is back home from his emergency at the hospital, he will console Steffy, who is in obvious distress. Finn is still blaming himself and thinks this is all fallout from the Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) situation. As much as Steffy wants to come clean to Finn, though, I do think Steffy will stay quiet and not tell Finn as Carter asked.

Thursday, September 17th on The Bold and the Beautiful. Daphne is reeling from what Carter tells her. So, he leaves Steffy’s house, heads back to Forrester Creations, and it looks like Carter’s gonna tell Daphne that Steffy will be their egg donor and surrogate. Right as Carter left Daphne in the showroom on was it Tuesday’s episode, he promised he would make her dreams come true. So, it will look to Daphne like Carter went over to talk to Steffy about helping them with their baby issues.

Daphne already knows Steffy has frozen eggs and she told Daphne she would do anything for her happiness. So once Daphne gets over the shock of it being Steffy, I think we’re going to see Daphne thrilled because she was just telling Ridge and Taylor that she really wants the surrogate to be somebody they know and Daphne doesn’t want this baby coming into their lives in a transactional way. Steffy really does make perfect sense on paper. I think Ridge and Taylor will be shocked.

Bold and Beautiful Spoilers: Steffy Blindsided

Friday, September 18th on The Bold and the Beautiful. Steffy’s blindsided. This may be Daphne with Carter at her side, thanking Steffy for her amazing offer to be their egg donor and surrogate so Daphne’s baby dreams can come true.

Steffy might have second thoughts, though, but in the end, I don’t think she can really say no to Daphne’s face, especially after Steffy slept with Carter. This is a huge sacrifice, though. But the baby in Steffy’s belly is a whoopsie from a drunken mistake. It’s not like a love child. However, it is still a huge life-changing deal, and I think Steffy’s going to continue to be tormented because she’s lying to Finn.

Bold Spoilers: Finn Turns to Steffy

Plus, I wonder if Steffy will warn Finn about the surrogacy or he finds out before Steffy gets to tell him. We have him going to Taylor looking for advice this week. And this may be about Steffy’s spiral, or it may be that Finn feels blindsided about Steffy volunteering to be the egg donor and surrogate for Daphne and Carter without consulting him. So Finn may want to talk things through with Taylor. And of course, she’s really worried about Steffy. We just saw Taylor bringing her concerns to Ridge. So after Finn comes to her, Taylor’s concerns may skyrocket.

I expect her to march over to see Steffy and Taylor may ask her to explain what’s going on so she can help her. Then the week of September 21st-25th The Bold and the Beautiful, Darcy Dylan (Kelly Sullivan) is getting more airtime with Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock) and soon circumstances shift and Darcy decides to stay in Los Angeles for a while. We’ll see how Dylan feels about having Mama Bear Darcy stay around.

B&B Spoilers: Will’s All-In with Dylan

Speaking of Dylan, she and Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) are going to be going strong and he gets even closer to Dylan. Katie Logan (Heather Tom) won’t like it, but she really doesn’t have a choice since Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) told Katie no thanks to being pressured into trying to reunite with Will.

R.J. Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) and Electra’s new youth line should be moving along. And the question is, how will Katie and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) find out about it? Because I’m confident they will know ahead of time and it’s going to be problematic because when they find out Katie can take counter measures that will no doubt infuriate Ridge, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and everybody over at Forrester Creations when Taylor checks in on Steffy after Finn comes to her with concerns.

Bold and Beautiful Spoilers: Steffy Finally Cracks?

We’ll see if Steffy spills everything to her mom Taylor. I think Steffy really needs to confide in someone that is more impartial than Carter because he will continue to pressure Steffy and we should see Carter and Steffy implementing this crazy surrogacy scheme. I think it’s going to get super messy but fact is Carter and Steffy have to get a move on if they are going to pass off their one night stand baby as a surrogacy to Daphne and Finn.

Expect to see more of Sheila soon. And I think she’s going to be completely stunned to find out that Steffy is going to get pregnant with a child that is not Finn’s. I can see Sheila quizzing her precious son Finn. And Sheila may ask Finn, “How are you feeling about this? Did you agree to it?” And he might actually open up to Sheila.

Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) is going to be continually bothered by Taylor’s rejection. And of course, Deacon is still hoping that marriage might be in the cards for them. I also wonder if Deacon may offer Darcy a job at Bikini Bar since we know she’s going to stick around Los Angeles and she may keep flirting with Deacon, which might be sort of a reality check that Taylor might need.

A new man comes into Deke Sharpe’s (Harrison Cone) life in coming weeks. Anybody, literally anybody, is better than Remy Pryce (Christian Weissmann). Also, Katie is going to be forced to end her efforts to micromanage Will’s love life, at least for a minute, long enough for Katie to focus on House of Logan. And she’s going to be taking some actions that will infuriate Brooke.

New Additions to B&B

We are going to see some new faces on The Bold and the Beautiful soon. And some of these are going to cause problems for Electra. We know she has family coming to Los Angeles soon and I’m just wondering if she has a brother who might be the one who is going to date Deke.

Kevin Costner is sparking romance rumors with lifestyle coach Jennifer Milburn after the pair were spotted running errands at a local grocery store.

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail on Tuesday, September 15, the pair were all smiles when they shopped at an Albertsons store in Santa Barbara, California, earlier this month.

Costner, 71, sported a white polo and matching jeans with flip-flops as he reportedly purchased cereal, grapefruit juice, steaks and vegetables.

As for Milburn, 40, she kept things casual with a white button-down, denim shorts and sandals before hopping in Costner’s Mercedes-Benz and presumably heading back to his home near the central California coast.

According to the Daily Mail, Milburn — who keeps her social media pages private — hails from Aspen, Colorado, and previously worked as a flight attendant. The local model currently works remotely as director of partnerships for Simon Sinek’s The Optimism Company, per her LinkedIn.

She also worked for several years at the Western retailer Kemo Sabe, which has been featured on several reality shows, including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Us has reached out to Costner’s rep for comment.

The former Yellowstone actor has tried to keep his personal life out of the spotlight since finalizing his divorce from Christine Baumgartner in February 2024 after nearly 18 years of marriage.

In August 2025, however, Us exclusively confirmed Costner was seeing director and author Kelly Noonan Gores.

“They are hanging out casually and were connected by friends,” one source revealed at the time. “They both frequent Aspen often and have mutual friend groups. They have been getting to know each other and seeing each other casually when they can.”

Another insider later told Us in a January cover story that Costner was not looking for a serious relationship or marriage anytime soon. “After such a public and expensive divorce, he’s being cautious,” the source explained.

Through all of life’s ups and downs, the actor appeared to remain a believer in love and relationships.

In June 2024, Costner gave a rare glimpse into what he was looking for in a partner after his headline-making divorce.

The first reactions to Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil have arrived, and the filmmaker behind Barbarian and Weapons may have another horror hit on his hands.

Early reactions to Sony Pictures’ latest attempt at bringing the iconic video game franchise to the big screen are overwhelmingly enthusiastic, with critics praising the film’s gore, humor, scares and commitment to the survival-horror atmosphere of the games.

Cregger’s Resident Evil follows Austin Abrams as a medical courier who finds himself caught in a zombie outbreak while attempting to make a delivery to Raccoon City General Hospital. Cregger co-wrote the screenplay alongside Shay Hatten, with Zach Cherry, Kali Reis and Paul Walter Hauser also starring.

While the film tells an original story rather than adapting one of the games directly, the early word suggests Cregger has captured what makes Resident Evil work.

Flickering Myth critic EJ Moreno called the movie a “true horror blockbuster,” adding:

“Zach Cregger goes bigger, scarier, and at his most fun.”

Moreno also said Resident Evil is the type of movie that should be experienced “on the biggest screen with a big crowd.”

Mark Cassidy offered similarly strong praise, arguing that despite not featuring familiar characters or storylines from the games, the movie successfully taps into their relentless tension.

“Zach Cregger has actually delivered the most faithful take yet.”

Cassidy described the film as “very bloody, very funny” and revealed that it managed to make him jump three times.

Kellvin Chavez was even more enthusiastic, praising a movie that apparently wastes little time getting started.

“Zach Cregger delivers relentless suspense, gloriously gory action.”

Chavez also highlighted what he described as twisted, The Thing-like creature designs and called the movie “pure survival horror.”

Film critic Tristian Circa ‘89 praised the balance between horror and comedy, saying the movie is “just as intense and horrifying as you’d expect” while still incorporating humor. He also singled out Abrams as an everyman protagonist whose natural charm makes him easy to root for.

Variety’s Jordan Moreau delivered perhaps the strongest reaction of the bunch, calling Resident Evil:

“One of the best video game adaptations ever made.”

Moreau also called it one of the best recent horror movies and praised Abrams’ performance as he stumbles his way through the zombie outbreak.

One of the biggest questions surrounding Cregger’s take on the franchise has been his decision to tell an original story.

The new movie does not center on established Resident Evil characters such as Leon S. Kennedy or Jill Valentine. Cregger has previously acknowledged the criticism surrounding that decision, but these early reactions suggest his film may compensate by remaining faithful to the atmosphere, tension and survival-horror experience of the games.

The franchise has already produced seven live-action theatrical films, beginning with the Milla Jovovich-led Resident Evil in 2002 and most recently returning to theaters with Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City in 2021. The films have collectively earned more than $1.2 billion worldwide.

Now Cregger gets his opportunity to take audiences back to Raccoon City.

Resident Evil hits theaters September 18.

Days of Our Lives early spoilers for next week starting September 21st with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) in danger. Because she did something rash that put a target on her back. Plus, when EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is back from Italy, he explodes because nothing is going his way.

Also, the week of September 21st-25th, we’ve got Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh) making a connection right when she’s back to Salem. Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) continues to lie and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is losing it. Let’s dive right in. And as we always do on early edition day, we’ll go over what’s happening the rest of this week, then get into what is coming next week. So, let’s talk about it.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Thoe Super Suspicious of Johnny

Wednesday, September 16th on Days. Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) is just getting more suspicious of Johnny by the day. Theo knows Johnny’s hiding something big and he really doesn’t want to conduct DiMera business this way. And Theo is already suspicious and then when Johnny tried to block him from the DiMera Pharmaceuticals meeting with George O’Halloran (Michael Rose), it amped it up.

So now, Theo is really watching him. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) compare notes and I’m guessing that Brady’s going to tell Steve about Sarah making the official complaint against DiMera Pharmaceuticals. Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) thought that was a very bad idea and put a target on her.

I’m curious to see if Steve agrees with Xander or with Sarah. Lani Price (Sal Stowers) thinks about her future in Salem. And of course, she’s only filling in at Sweet Bits while Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) is finishing her cancer treatment. And recovering from delivering her baby.

I would personally love to see Lani going to work at Black Patch. With Brady and Steve. Sarah and her ex-hubby Xander separately contemplate their past and them losing their way. Soon, Sarah reconsiders choosing Brady. And she and Xander will eventually get back on the road for a reunion. But there’s a few more challenges in the way.

DOOL Spoilers: Chad Shoots Belle Down

Thursday, September 17th, on Days of Our Lives, Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) says no to Belle Black‘s (Martha Madison) suggestion. So, they are still in Rome. They suspect that Dominic Marino has a tie to Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) after finding that photo. Plus, they were alarmed when EJ pointed out all the things in Dominic’s home that are favorite items of Stefano’s.

So, Chad may worry that things are just getting too weird and too risky and may just want to take Belle home to Salem. We should also get more scenes soon of Dominic with Dante Vitali (Franco LoPresti) and find out more about how these two are tied together. Sydney surprises her dad EJ.

We know that her stepdad to be Dante was back in Rome after the sketchy poker game to meet with Dominic. So, it looks like Sydney traveled back to Rome with Dante and then goes to find her dad, EJ. Who is likely going to convince Sydney to come back to Salem with him. Her return is good timing since EJ is being investigated on multiple fronts.

So, he may need a really good lawyer. I’m interested to see with Sydney all grown up whether she’s going to be more like EJ or more like Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). Or a truly alarming combination of EJ and Sami, which is a little scary to contemplate.

Lani listens to Theo’s confession and this may be about his suspicions about EJ and Johnny and the pharmaceutical stuff. So, we may see Lani interested in helping him look into what is going on given her law enforcement past.

Days Spoilers: Sydney Comes Home

Friday, September 18th on Days of Our Lives, Sydney returns with EJ to Salem and Rita is at the mansion to welcome Mr. and Miss DiMera home. After dropping off her bags and saying hi to Rita, we’ll see Sydney head to the Brady Pub to see Grandpa Roman Brady (Josh Taylor). And new guy Mason Whitfield (Brandon Butler)’s there, and he and Sydney are going to meet. Once she’s out of the way, EJ questions Rita on what she found out about Dominic Marino, and I fully expect her to lie right to EJ’s face.

Rita has been misleading EJ for a good long while now. Because she is loyal to another DiMera at this point. While alone in the DiMera mansion living room, Rita looks up at Stefano’s portrait and says, “It’s all playing out as you planned, sir.” Rita now seems completely loyal to Dominic, which is why she sent him EJ’s Phoenix ring that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) gave to him after Stefano’s memorial. Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and Arianna Horton (Vico Escorcia) have a heart-to-heart about Mason being a jerk to her. We should see Ari telling Holly about Mason mentioning Holly being involved in someone’s death.

And so between the two girls, Ari and Holly may quickly suspect this must have some kind of tie to Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd). Chad is back and confronts Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord). We saw Chad already chewed Chloe out once when he found out Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) was in the tunnel and that Cat knew.

And Chad thinks she didn’t tell anybody. And Cat actually told Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and asked her to make sure that word got back to Theo. So, we’ll see if EJ mentioned to Chad that Cat used to be ISA, trying to see if Chad has any information on whether Cat is still ISA.

At this point, Chad seems truly done with Cat and is completely moved on to Belle. Marlena talks to Belle and Chad about the new clues they found in Rome at Dominic Marino’s house. And Marlena is going to tell Belle this week that the name Marino means of the sea, which is the same thing that DiMera means. Our leaker confirmed to us that Dominic is Stefano and Marlena’s son.

So, because it’s a leak, I’m filing it under rumor. But I am anticipating official spoilers that this will come to fruition. Then September 21st-25th Days of Our Lives, we’re going to find out if Philip Kiriakis’ (John-Paul Lavoisier) big win is enough to shut down EJ and his takeover of Titan. It sounded like Philip and his big gamble were enough. But there’s false spoilers that say the Kiriakis family is forced to rebuild from the ashes. So, maybe there’s another obstacle that comes in their way and it might have something to do with Dominic.

DOOL Spoilers: EJ Ecstatic to See Sydney

EJ is genuinely thrilled to have his daughter Sydney in Salem. And I wonder if EJ is going to want Sydney working at DiMera or keeping her far from it. I’m also wondering if he does if EJ will read Sydney into the corporate mess or if he’s going to hide this from his daughter. Mason and Sydney may have a mutual dislike of Holly given Sydney and Holly’s past as stepsisters. Because you know Sydney is team EJ and we know Holly is team Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). Johnny is starting to cave under the pressure.

But now that EJ is back, maybe he can help Johnny cope with all the secret keeping, teach him how to lie a little better. Because at the rate that Johnny is going, he’s going to fall apart and Chanel’s going to figure it all out. Cat may need to watch her every move. Chad and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) both suspect that Cat still works for the ISA, and EJ is worried about the exact same thing. Plus, Rita is now watching Cat as well. Marlena issues Belle a warning about the risks of this chess set mystery.

I’m super curious to see if Chad or Belle snapped a picture of the picture of Stefano with the little boy and the nineteen ninety-two written on it so they can show it to Marlena and see if it triggers anything for her. She’s been having island dreams and if that boy is hers that’s where she would have been when the kid was born.

Days Spoilers: Dominic Debut for November Sweeps?

I’m also wondering if Days of Our Lives is going to hold off introducing Dominic until November sweeps, which starts October 29th about six weeks from now. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Chad, Belle, Marlena, and the fans were all left hanging until then without answers.

Rita may be eager to welcome her new boss, Dominic, to Salem. But you know that when he does, EJ is going to lose it on Rita and demand to know why she betrayed the family. Except in her mind, she is still loyal to Stefano and also to this secret son of Stefano that nobody ever knew about.

Growing up, we all had that friend who learned all the forbidden four-letter words and decided they would devote their entire personality to working them into conversation as frequently as possible. I was in grade school when South Park burst onto the scene, and I distinctly remember hearing people swear for the sake of swearing because they thought it was cool, not realizing that sometimes a well-placed f-bomb is way more effective than dropping one every other word. I’m guilty of this, but I grew out of it fast. Some people never grow out of it, which brings me to 2016’s Bad Cat, a Turkish adult animated comedy currently marketed as a Tubi Original that plays like a cross between Garfield and Seth MacFarlane’s Ted.

Here’s the thing, though: I almost turned this movie off within 10 minutes because of how profane it was. Not because I’m easily offended by profanity, but because after a certain point, you learn that people mostly swear because they never bothered to expand their vocabulary. But you have to be patient with Bad Cat for reasons that quickly become apparent. The animals in the film simply do not know any better, and the profanity is so embedded into their personalities that you barely even register that they’re swearing after living with these scrappy creatures for a half hour.

An Exercise In Constant Escalation

Bad Cat follows Shero (Uğur Yücel), a hard-drinking, chain-smoking cat who spends his days hanging around with Riza (Güven Kıraç), a rat, and Rifki (Gökçe Özyol), a seagull, while generally being a menace to everybody around him. Shero is foulmouthed, extremely horny, selfish, and always looking for his next drink, but his already messy life gets significantly worse when his latest attempt to hook up with a female cat goes horribly wrong and her owner, a cartoonist (Okan Yalabık), decides he wants revenge after getting thrown out of a window and splitting his head wide open.

After getting hit with a defibrillator in the ambulance, he comes back as a rage-filled zombie, hellbent on terrorizing our foul-mouthed feline friend and his friends.

Things get even more complicated when Taco (Demet Evgar), a young kitten claiming to be Shero’s son, shows up looking for his dad. Shero isn’t exactly father material, but Taco sticks around while Shero gets thrown out of his home, falls for an Angora named Misscat (Demet Evgar, again), and tries to stay one step ahead of the increasingly unhinged cartoonist coming after him.

Think Ted meets Garfield, except everybody talks like a bunch of street animals who learned every dirty word in the English language and immediately decided to use all of them, like your friends in third grade who got removed from the classroom almost immediately after they discovered South Park and Beavis & Butt-Head.

Give It A Chance Before You Give Up

Like I said, the sheer amount of profanity in Bad Cat was off-putting until I realized what was going on here. Shero comes off as a total jerk until you learn that he and his equally foul-mouthed friends are simply products of their environment, which, speaking from an animation standpoint, is so enthralling to look at.

The city streets are full of life and chaos, boasting the kind of aesthetic that comes from the comic that preceded it. Using the most recent Garfield Movie (2024) as the most apt comparison, Bad Cat’s attention to detail is mesmerizing. Every single nook and cranny of the city is exploding with personality and motion that is so frenetic it’s almost dizzying.

Bad Cat is not for the faint of heart. If there’s ever a movie you need to watch out for if you have kids and the Tubi app on your television, it’s this one. It looks like a kids movie, but brother, it ain’t one. This is the movie you watch with your partner after the kids go down because you’ve been biting your tongue all day while trying to set a good example in your household. 

Going into this movie blind, I hated it at first, but when I fully realized what it was trying to do, I had to give credit where it was due. I also need to watch what I say around my family for the next few days because this movie really makes me want to channel the kind of vulgarity my friends and I would get in trouble for exploring during recess when we were in grade school.
