Birthday Celebration Turns Into Terrifying Zip Line Fall
Knox was reportedly celebrating his birthday at Spy Ninjas HQ on Feb. 7 when he was strapped into an indoor zip line harness and sent gliding across the course — only to fall nearly 20 feet. The footage shows the person filming immediately dropping the phone to rush to the boy, while several adults sprinted over amid panicked voices. Additionally, his uncle, Navonte Hill, told 8 News Now that Knox “landed straight on his back and head.“
Family Details Zip Line Fall
Unfortunately, Knox suffered a concussion from the fall, but the family confirmed that he is expected to return to school soon. Despite the frightening incident, the boy’s family has expressed relief that he is on the mend, and they thanked responders for their quick action. Hill also revealed the family can no longer watch the footage, calling it too “traumatizing.” He described the incident as “definitely the scariest moment as a family,” especially since it happened on Knox’s birthday.
Spy Ninjas HQ Takes Action After Zip Line Fall
Following the incident, the park said staff responded immediately in accordance with emergency protocols. They have since temporarily closed the zip line and rope courses. An independent safety inspector was brought in to audit the equipment, and the attractions team underwent retraining with an external expert. The park confirmed that the attractions will only reopen once deemed fully safe.
A spokesperson told PEOPLE in a statement on Wednesday, February 18:
“At HQ, nothing matters more to us than the safety and well-being of our guests. On February 7, 2026, an incident occurred involving a young guest at our park. We have communicated with the family, and our hearts go out to the child and their family, and our entire team wishes them a full and speedy recovery.”
The incident has left the community shaken, but Spy Ninjas HQ has remained open for business while implementing extra precautions. Also, the park expressed sympathy for the child and family, while thanking the Las Vegas community for its patience amid the investigation.
