A week after impressing Tom Cruise with her football knowledge from a VIP suite at Arrowhead Stadium, Taylor Swift found herself at the center of another memorable game-day moment. 

This time, the spotlight wasn’t on who she was talking to, but on how she reacted when Travis Kelce finally found the end zone. 

As the Kansas City Chiefs star celebrated his first touchdown of the season, Swift’s response from the stands quickly became one of the night’s most talked-about moments.

Travis’s touchdown may have energized Arrowhead Stadium, but many eyes immediately shifted toward Taylor Swift’s suite.

The Grammy winner attended the Chiefs’ matchup against the Indianapolis Colts with her parents, Scott and Andrea, and her mother-in-law, Donna Kelce. 

Dressed in a Chiefs tank, Swift was seen celebrating after Travis crossed the goal line for his first touchdown of the season.

In footage that quickly circulated online, the singer appeared to playfully flash her ring as she reacted to the score. 

Observers also believed she shouted, “That’s my husband!” as her husband’s big moment unfolded on the field.

Not everyone watching Taylor Swift celebrate Travis’s first touchdown of the season was impressed. Several critics argued that the moment felt excessive.

One angry commenter wrote on X, “She points to her ring and says ‘that’s my husband’? This is just strange..Does Travis go to her concerts and point to his ring after every song?”

Another user viewed the celebration as overly performative, describing it as “such pick me behaviour,” though they admitted they might react similarly if they were in the same position.

A third person also commented, “Nobody gives a sh-t about you or your boring husband. You’re not even a real nfl fan.”

While some social media users criticized Taylor Swift’s reaction, many others saw the moment as nothing more than a wife celebrating her husband’s success.

Supporters flooded X with positive messages after the clip began circulating, arguing that Swift’s excitement was genuine and relatable. One fan wrote, “I’ve never seen her so happy before. She’s really living her best days.”

Others focused on the pride they believed was evident in her reaction after Travis Kelce reached the end zone.

“The way Taylor celebrated that touchdown like it was a personal achievement. You can literally see how proud she is of him. ‘That’s my husband!’ energy is undefeated,” another user commented.

Several fans also took issue with the criticism directed at Swift, arguing that she was being unfairly scrutinized for expressing happiness.

One particularly passionate defender wrote, “yall are so insufferable, anything Taylor does yall have a f-cking problem. Leave this lady alone,” before adding, “yall literally choose to waste time hating on a woman who’s simply happy because shes married.”

Taylor Swift’s latest football moment arrived just days after she apparently spent part of another Chiefs game explaining the sport to Cruise.

As The Blast reported, the “Cruel Summer” singer sat near the Hollywood star during Kansas City’s season opener against the Denver Broncos, prompting Jimmy Fallon to later ask Cruise what happens “when the biggest movie star in the world is sitting next to the biggest artist in the world.”

According to Cruise, football became the topic of conversation. “She was bringing the football. First of all, she’s a genius,” he said.

The debate over Taylor Swift’s touchdown celebration may have divided social media, but those who spent time with her at Arrowhead Stadium painted a very different picture. 

According to Pat McAfee, Swift wasn’t just showing up to support Travis; she was fully invested in every moment of the action.

Speaking on “The Pat McAfee Show” after attending the Chiefs’ season opener against the Denver Broncos from Travis Kelce’s family suite, McAfee described the atmosphere as one of the most passionate football environments he had experienced. And Swift, he said, was right at the center of it.

“She is all in. She is — every snap, [it] was the most into-it suite we’ve ever been in,” McAfee said, adding, “Everybody in there was all in.” 

One moment stood out in particular. As Travis broke loose for a massive 59-yard reception, the suite erupted.

“Then he had that 59-yard catch, oh my God, that is what being a football fan is like,” McAfee recalled. “Watching them experience the game was fantastic.” 

McAfee also shared details about his first meaningful interaction with Swift. Although he attended her wedding to Travis earlier in the summer, he said the Chiefs game gave him a chance to properly meet her. According to McAfee, Swift immediately made him feel welcome.

“I got a chance to chitchat with Ms. Taylor Swift last night. Huge day,” he said. He later revealed that when he asked for a photo, Swift happily agreed.
