The Testaments Cast: Meet Spinoff Stars Including Handmaid’s Tale Alums

Published

on

Hulu is expanding The Handmaid’s Tale universe with its The Testaments spinoff — but who makes up the cast?

The Handmaid’s Tale universe was brought to life when Hulu adapted Margaret Atwood‘s 1985 novel of the same name in 2017. Atwood’s dystopian universe followed a future where low fertility rates have led women to be assigned to men for bearing children. Elisabeth Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, Madeline Brewer, Dowd, O-T Fagbenle, Max Minghella, Samira Wiley and Amanda Brugel have led the cast since the show premiered in 2017.

After The Handmaid’s Tale‘s final season was announced in 2022, creator Bruce Miller stepped down as showrunner to work on The Testaments as executive producers Eric Tuchman and Yahlin Chang took over the day-to-day duties on the flagship drama.

“We are making The Testaments, and it’s not going to track precisely,” Miller told TVLine at the time. “Margaret writes these absolutely deliciously specific characters. We had to go away from that in Handmaid’s, and we’re going to have to go away from that in Testaments. Testaments is certainly going to be a sequel to the show.”

Hulu Hulu’s highly anticipated The Handmaid’s Tale spinoff The Testaments is in the works — but what is there to know about the show so far? Margaret Atwood’s dystopian universe was initially brought to life with The Handmaid’s Tale, which is based on the novel of the same name about a future where low fertility […]

Set 15 years later, The Testaments is narrated by Aunt Lydia as viewers are thrust back into the dystopian future with new characters such as Agnes from Gilead and Daisy from Canada as they secretly gather and smuggle incriminating information about Gilead’s regime out of the country. Agnes and Daisy pose as “Pearl Girls” to infiltrate Canada, while Aunt Lydia acts as a covert source within Gilead.

“Although I could not continue with the story of Offred, I could continue with three other people concerned in these events and tell the story of the beginning of the end, because we know from The Handmaid’s Tale that Gilead vanishes,” Atwood told journalists at an event in 2019. “It’s no longer present 200 years into the future, because they’re having a symposium on it. How did it collapse? How do these kinds of regimes disappear? I was interested in exploring that.”

She continued: “There [are] some new costume choices in this book. Human beings throughout time love outfits that tell you who you’re looking at, like football teams and things like that. So yes, we have some new outfits.”

Atwood said she kept Miller updated on her plans as The Handmaid’s Tale was coming to an end.

“I read the scripts; I make notes on them,” she added. “I have influence but no actual power. But luckily we’re in accord most of the time.”

Britney Spears Fans Debate The Pop Star’s ‘Nastiest’ Song

Britney Spears Fans Debate The Pop Star’s ‘Nastiest’ Song

Pop star Britney Spears may have put her career on the back burner ever since her controversial 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021, but fans still have hope that she will return to the music industry one day and continue to put out hits such as “Toxic” and “Oops!… I Did It Again.” While she got her start as a child star on the Mickey Mouse Club, some of her music – well, most of her music – is known for raunchy themes about sex and intimacy.  Fans don’t love those songs any less. If anything, they actually love them more!

Britney Spears Fans Discuss Her ‘Freakiest’ Songs

It all began with a Reddit thread on the Britney Spears sub-Reddit, where one fan asked, “What is Britney’s nastiest/freakiest song?” They left a note that unreleased demos were definitely included in the online discussion.

“I was listening to ‘Pull Out’ and then ‘When I Say So,’ and I thought – d*mn these songs are nasty. In your opinion, what’s Britney’s freakiest song?” they asked.

Britney’s Lyrics Definitely Set The Mood

The song “Pull Out” has a pretty clear title, but the chorus takes things to another level with lyrics like, “You got to know when to pull it out / It’s gettin’ so hot but put it out / You’re makin’ me panic / I can’t stand it.”

Likewise, all of “When I Say So” is pretty clear, with Britney singing about how she ain’t “down for relationships.” She sings, “I just want it, when I want it,” and kicks off the song by crooning, “You read my eyes / My vibes / My body’s pace / Lookin’ my way and I’m lookin’ your way.”

‘Breathe On Me’ Was Released In 2003

Her 2003 song “Breathe On Me” from her album In The Zone got over 80 upvotes for being the most “nastiest” song and it’s not hard to see why. The song begins: “Oh, it’s so hot, and I need some air / And boy, don’t stop ’cause I’m halfway there.” Later on in the song, things get hot and heavy: “Monogamy is the way to go (go, go) / Just put your lips together and blow.”

Others heavily favored “Ooh Ooh Baby,” which she recorded for her fifth studio album, Blackout. In the lyrics, she sings, “Touch me and I come alive / I can feel you on my lips / I can feel you deep inside.”

One fan wrote out the lyrics in the comments, adding, “Uh, thanks for letting me know, I guess (still a bop though).”

‘3’ Was Deemed ‘A Lil Vulgar’ By One Fan

One fan wrote, “3 lmfao. It’s a lil vulgar even for me (that says a lot).” The lyrics clearly paint the picture of a sexual relationship that involves more than two people. The song begins “One, two, three / Not only you and me.” From there, she sings, “Merrier the more / Triple fun that way / Twister on the floor.”

“3 is one of my favourites. Especially when she’s escalating to 4, with that naughty look at the camera,” another follower shared. The music video for “3” was directed by Diane Martel and featured Britney and her dancers in front of different black and white backgrounds to exude a “sexy and playful” vibe.

‘911’ Might Be Britney’s Dirtiest Song To Date

Blackout has proven to be a very sexual album, but “911” might just contain her most explicit lyrics to date. “Sexing in the attic / When you felt so automatic / Felt explosive when you had it
When you c*m all over me.”

If that wasn’t enough, the bridge continues: “Boy I made it rain / Just when I squeezed and made it tight / Just so relaxed, so don’t you fight it / Just calm down, feel the freak in me.”

Other songs that made the list include “If You Seek Amy,” “Get Naked,” “Ouch,” “Photography,” “Over To You,” “Tik Tok Boom,” “Sinner,” and “Break The Ice.”

The discussion got so heated that some fans started saying that some songs weren’t freaky enough. “Someone said Piece of Me, and that is DEFINITELY not her nastiest or freakiest song. I guess the moaning in the song could be considered a little freaky, but compared to her other songs, it really isn’t.”

Amy Duggar Guesses How Jim Bob Reacted to Joseph’s Arrest

Published

on

Amy Duggar King is speculating about how she thinks her uncle Jim Bob Duggar would have reacted to the news of his son Joseph Duggar being arrested.

Posting via her TikTok account on Friday, March 27, Amy, 39, said she “would almost take bets” that Jim Bob immediately “called a family meeting” or “texted on a big family group chat” when the news broke. (Joseph, 31, was arrested on March 18 on child molestation charges.)

Amy guessed that Jim Bob may have encouraged the family to rally together amid the scandal.

She thinks Jim Bob would have said something like, “‘Alright, I’m so sorry that we’re going through this again as a family. What’s most important is that we band together and that we show family loyalty and that we love each other no matter what. And right now, we need to just be closer than ever. Including our social media.’”

Amy Duggar King was emotional to learn that her cousin Joseph Duggar’s wife, Kendra Duggar, had also been arrested. “I don’t know what’s going on, and our local news is saying that there’s more and there’s been someone else who’s been arrested,” Amy, 39, tearfully said in a Friday, March 20, video shared via her […]

Amy added that she thinks Jim Bob would have encouraged his children to continue to “post about your life, post about recipes, post about your kids, post about whatever” but she thought he would have told them to  “don’t mention Joseph.”

Continuing her impression of Jim Bob, Amy said she thinks her uncle would have instructed family members to pass on any interview requests to his team to deal with and “just don’t add anything extra to it.”

Joseph is the seventh of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children. The pair also share Josh, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace and Josie. The family’s life was featured on the TLC series 19 Kids and Counting as well as the spin-off, Counting On. Amy also appeared on 19 Kids and Counting.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s  eldest son, Josh, was sentenced in May 2022 to 12 years in prison for possession of child pornography.

Joseph was arrested last week on suspicion of lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older. A 14-year-old girl came forward with accusations that Joseph molested her when they were on vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, when she was 9 years old in 2020.

Us Weekly confirmed days later that Joseph’s wife, Kendra Duggar, was arrested on March 20. She was released that same day on a $1,470 bond.

Joseph and Kendra, 27, are also both facing charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.

A spokesperson for the Duggar family told Us in a statement, “[Kendra’s] is a misdemeanor charge totally unrelated to the Florida case.”

Amy initially shared prayers for Joseph’s wife Kendra in the wake of her cousin’s arrest.

“Recognizing that we do not yet know the full picture, I am also praying for Joseph’s wife, Kendra, as she begins to process this, and for the protection of their children,” Amy originally said in a statement on March 19. “I’m praying for eyes to be opened and above all, I pray that justice will be served to the fullest.”

However, she recanted the statement once Kendra was also arrested.

“I think that was a plot twist that no one saw coming,” Amy told TMZ on March 21. “When I gave that [first] statement … that was just the information I was given at the time and thought to be true. Now that the information has changed and there’s more that is coming out and there’s a lot of question marks right now.”

Travis Kelce’s Ex-Girlfriend Kayla Petitions To Be On ‘The Bachelorette’

Published

Taylor Frankie Paul

Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, is throwing her name in the ring to replace Taylor Frankie Paul as ABC’s next bachelorette. In a new TikTok, the social media influencer hinted at the ongoing drama between the network and Paul, who would have been their next leading lady.

Nicole, who first made headlines in 2017 after popping out with Kelce on the red carpet, was seen lip-syncing over a popular sound on TikTok from comedian Jason Banks, in which he lists off a series of impressive occupations to help sharpen his dating profile.

“My audition to be the next Bachelorette,” Nicole wrote on top of the video. She took it even further by captioning the clip, “Hey @ABC, heard you need a stand-in?”

Although Nicole’s video was likely posted in jest, the fitness influencer could be an option for the network, considering they recently fired Paul, whose previously filmed season should be airing right now.

Why Did ABC Cancel Paul’s Season Of ‘The Bachelorette’?

Nicole’s post comes less than two weeks after ABC decided to pull Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” days before it was scheduled to premiere.

Their decision followed a 2023 video of Paul appearing to assault her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, resurfacing online.

In the horrifying clip, Paul appears to strike, choke, and grab Mortensen’s hair before hurling several metal chairs at him—including one that hit her minor daughter in the head.

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a Disney spokesperson said.

Before the video made its rounds online, Paul had already made headlines after reports revealing her “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” co-stars decided to pause filming after learning she was involved in another alleged domestic dispute with Mortensen came to light.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Paul admitted to struggling with finding a way to process what’s been revealed.

“Honestly, just like, my heart hurts to see it, to go through it, especially at this time,” she said, calling the timing of the situation “hard” because her “Bachelorette” premiere was affected.

“I feel like every premiere that I’ve experienced, I’ve never enjoyed fully, so this is another one… it’s extremely hard, and it took everything to get me here today,” she said.

Paul went on to say that, while she was “struggling” with the events, she had to put on a brave face. “I feel like if I don’t show up, then I’m just giving these opportunities away and not enjoying what we’ve worked on and something super exciting that’s coming. I just feel like it was the right thing to do… show up even though it’s hard,” she said.

Paul also got candid about her children and how the release of her 2023 assault video would impact them.

“Worst part is my daughter having to relive and see it all over again years later, after extensive work with her and apologies to her about that night,” Paul commented on TikTok. “And my baby boy birthday was taken from him.”

Paul has three children, according to PEOPLE. She shares two children, daughter Indy and son Ocean, with her ex-husband, Tate Paul. In 2024, she welcomed her son, Ever, with Mortensen.

The drama with the cast of “Secret Lives” doesn’t stop with Mortensen and Paul. According to a previous report from The Blast, co-stars Jessi Draper and Miranda Hope may also be feuding.

After a popular gossip blog posted a tip alleging that Draper kissed Hope’s ex-husband, Chase McWhorter, at a birthday party, Hope appeared to confirm it with a series of pointed messages.

In a TikTok video, Hope wrote, “GRWM while I process my friend group being a waiting room for my ex-husband. It’s not even betrayal at this point, it’s a tradition.”

In an official statement, Hope confirmed that she felt “slighted” by Draper after her ex-husband allegedly told her that they had shared a kiss.

“Chase and I are no longer partners, and while I have high expectations of him as a co-parent, I also hold my friends to a high standard and believe in girl code,” she said.

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is a self-proclaimed Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fan. However, she, like many viewers, isn’t pleased with season 15 and made her comments known in a recent interview. Now, several days later, “RHOBH” star Bozoma Saint John is responding to the “Buffy” alum.

Saint John recently spoke with Page Six about “RHOBH” at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards. During the interview, Gellar’s comments were mentioned to the second season “Housewives” star. In response, she stated that the show can’t be all high-intensity drama. Instead, she said the cast also needs to deliver serious moments.

According to her, “Here’s the thing: There has to be moments where you get deep, and sometimes that depth doesn’t require a lot of action, you know, because our lives are really real. There’s a lot of drama going on. That doesn’t necessarily mean conflict between us, but it is drama within each of our individual lives, and you gotta allow space for that.”

She also stated that the way the show’s situations have been handled “sets it up for a great next season.” Saint John added, “Because then you let things play out, you know? So things are building. We gotta let it build.”

Here’s What Sarah Michelle Gellar Said

Gellar appeared on “Page Six Radio” in March 2026 while promoting her new film, “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.” During the episode, the hosts asked for her thoughts on season 15 of “RHOBH.” When asked if she’s “loving this season,” she responded, “No.”

She continued, “I think it’s boring. I like the cast. I love Rachel, I think Rachel’s a great additon. I love Boz, I live for Kathy and Jen. Like, I want a spin-off. I want a Jen Tilly and Kathy Hilton spinoff.”

Gellar went on to highlight the problem she sees with the show, stating, “It’s slow. It’s just picking up now.” The “Buffy” alum also said she doesn’t think anyone enjoys seeing Amanda Frances on the show before admitting that she’s probably “a very lovely person” in real life.

The actress then said, “If you choose to go on this show, then you have to be ready to open yourself up and be honest, and I feel like she missed that memo.” Since then, Andy Cohen has responded, calling out Page Six for bashing the show while filming in his studio, featuring “Radio Andy” signage in the background.

Cohen may not have appreciated Gellar’s comments about “RHOBH,” but the fanbase, by and large, agreed with what the actress had to say. One TikTok user wrote, “SHE’S RIGHT. BRING BACK MIAMI AND PUT BEVERLY HILLS ON PAUSE.”

Another social media user said, “Sarah is so right. The most boring season ever.” Someone else stated, “Who is loving this season?! Snooze! SMG queen as always!”

A different Bravo fan gave their take, saying, “I just binged the whole RHOSLC franchise and these girls bring it! BH has been boring for a while.” Lastly, someone else said, “Why did he ask it like it’s been an exceptional season? ‘Are you loving RHOBH this season?’ Like no? Who is?”

Saint John became engaged to boyfriend Keely Watson in August 2025. Recently, she opened up to PEOPLE about the wedding planning progress, revealing that Watson is “very involved.” According to her, “It’s a good thing, but then he has opinions, and then you have to compromise. You know what I’m saying? Who wants to do that?”

She also stated that she’d be open to marrying on camera. Saint John explained, “I’m open to it because one of the weddings will be a Ghanaian wedding, traditional on the continent in Ghana, and we don’t often see those weddings.”

The “RHOBH” star and businesswoman added, “They’re very different from Western weddings, so I think we should celebrate other cultures and show people all around the world how we do it in Ghana.”

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast filmed the season 15 reunion on March 13. The network then released the official seating chart the same day, featuring Saint John in the second chair, next to her friend Dorit Kemsley, who was first chair. “RHOBH” original cast member Kyle Richards had the other first chair.

According to Bravo, Richards described the reunion in a subsequent Amazon Live session, saying, “It was rough. Because, you know, the situation with Dorit, Erika, and myself is hard because we care about each other, and it’s gotten so bad. It’s just very difficult.”

7 War Shows We Thought Would Be the Next ‘Band of Brothers’

Published

on

Ashton Holmes and Josh Helman sit among other soldiers, listening to instructions, in The Pacific.

Television has always been drawn to war stories, especially those filled with action and drama. What makes them even more addictive is the reminder that these events were real and not so distant in history. Among these shows, Band of Brothers remains unbeatable in the list of war shows.

Created by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, the series not only showed the reality of the army’s first paratrooper regiment, but also the clashing personalities involved. Still, Band of Brothers is only one example of many war dramas produced for television. With that in mind, here are the war shows we thought would be the next Band of Brothers.

‘The Pacific’ (2010)

No other miniseries is more similar to Band of Brothers than The Pacific. Another collaboration helmed by Hanks and Spielberg, with the addition of Gary Goetzman. The Pacific goes across the seas, following the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Instead of focusing on just one regiment, The Pacific follows several members of the Marines of different regiments. From Iwo Jima to Guadalcanal, the war against Japanese forces literally transcends the oceans.

With many of the battles taking place on islands, audiences may be reminded of the visuals comparable to Saving Private Ryan. However, instead of the adrenaline of the first hit, The Pacific takes even more time for a more immersive experience, truly plunging audiences into the middle of nowhere, war-torn Pacific. The miniseries isn’t here to glorify war. In retrospect, it emphasizes the horrors of what these regular men had to endure. No matter what rank or regiment they are in, these men are molded by the bloodshed they’ve witnessed away from home.

‘Masters of the Air’ (2024)

Spielberg and Hanks have taken viewers everywhere with their war-related projects. From the ground to the sea, this time, they bring audiences high into the skies. Set during German-occupied Europe, Masters of the Air follows best friends and U.S. Army Air Forces bomber pilots, Majors Gale “Buck” Cleven (Austin Butler) and John “Bucky” Egan (Callum Turner), stationed with the 100th Bomb Group in England, flying B-17 bombers. Together, they take part in a death-defying offensive against German fighters.

Unlike the grounded camaraderies of foot soldiers or the collective disassociation from home at sea, serving in the air force is a truly isolating experience. True to its title, Masters of the Air presents the crème de la crème of aerial warfare. After all, they are masters of their B-17 planes. The risk is even greater since bomber crews face higher casualty rates. Although these men fly alongside their brothers in war, they remain alone in a metal contraption, waiting to attack or be attacked.

‘Birdsong’ (2012)

Eddie-Redmayne in a scene from Birdsong

All’s not quite fair in love and war. Although not as deadly, romantic affairs can be just as tumultuous. Birdsong follows Stephen Wraysford (Eddie Redmayne), who’s caught up in both World War I and the memories of a pre-war affair with Isabelle Azaire (Clémence Poésy). As he tries to survive in the trench warfare alongside Royal Engineers tunnellers, he finds solace in his army companion. But nothing during this period is guaranteed. Soon enough, Stephen will learn that life after war isn’t the beacon of sunlight he had hoped for.

War is often associated with guns and explosions. Meanwhile, Birdsong presents a strikingly different reality of war. Those who have watched Peaky Blinders and are familiar with Tommy Shelby’s past as a tunneller will recognize the role. It is dark, claustrophobic, and, if they’re not careful, suffocating. Although the illicit romance plays a significant emotional role in the series, it is the surprising brotherhood forged during the Battle of the Somme that becomes the series’ true core.

‘Our World War’ (2014)

Image from the BBC miniseries 'Our World War'
Image from the BBC miniseries ‘Our World War’

In war, soldiers don’t go hard — they go ham. Our World War is based on three true stories of British soldiers fighting in World War 1. From early clashes at Mons to the formation of a Pals battalion from Manchester, to the later use of tanks in battles like Amiens, Our World War captures the different stages of war. While the action is something straight out of a movie, the events are very real and mortifying.

Utilizing modern camera techniques like bodycams and overhead filming, Our World War has the aesthetic of a current action thriller. Top that off with an equally contemporary soundtrack from PJ Harvey, and the series carries a fictional, almost too brutal to be true, feel. But don’t be fooled by its style. At its core, it is a stylized documentary, much like Band of Brothers. The modern approach is meant to show that the World Wars are not as distant from today as they may seem.

You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

The war is the last place to find humor. But if it works as a coping mechanism, well, no harm to that. Generation Kill tracks a Rolling Stone reporter who is caught up with the 1st Recon Marines during the first wave of the American-led assault on Baghdad in 2003. Through his eyes, the series shows the Battalion’s role in the invasion of Iraq. The soldiers might have the guts to go into battle, but in actuality, they’re a ragtag team of self-deprecating misfits.

Audiences are familiar with war battles, but the day-to-day reality of military life is rarely portrayed. Generation Kill provides an authentic look into Marine Recon units when they’re out of uniform. Considering that war is a hypermasculine environment, the show portrays these aggressive personalities, which are a product of the harsh conditions that are merciless against them. More importantly, the boredom of waiting for a battle is the main theme in Generation Kill, which affects how a brotherhood is affected by bursts of violence and causing mental instability.

Gallipoli (2015)

While most war depictions focus on battles between major Axis and Allied powers, they rarely show the supporting units involved. In the cast of Gallipoli, the story follows the ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) in the Gallipoli Peninsula of Turkey. The miniseries follows 17-year-old Thomas “Tolly” Johnson (Kodi Smit-McPhee), who lies about his age to enlist alongside his brother Bevan (Harry Greenwood), ultimately finding himself on the front lines of Gallipoli.

On top of exploring an overlooked part of war history, Gallipoli delivers a brutal portrayal of army life that calls patriotism into question. At the end of the day, these are ordinary men assigned to do their duty. They’re not mythic heroes, just young soldiers leaving their families behind to serve their country, whatever that meant at the time. What’s even more gut-wrenching is the sense of institutional betrayal, as seen from the military mismanagement that marked the Gallipoli campaign as one of the most disastrous during World War I.

‘Home Fires’ (2015–2016)

It’s always brotherhood in battle. But far away from enemy lines, the women of Home Fires find sisterhood in each other as they await their loved ones to return home. The series follows women in a rural Cheshire community as World War II changes their lives. Led by Frances Barden, the Women’s Institute becomes more egalitarian while supporting wartime efforts like food production and civil defense. As the war separates families, the women encounter abuse and losses of their own.

The message behind Home Fires is straightforward: behind every man is a woman, even in war. On a broader scale, the series shows women taking initiative, organizing community support efforts, and building air raid shelters. On a more personal level, they become the emotional backbone for their male counterparts, enduring hardship and protecting loved ones from the dangers of war. If that’s enough, they still have to find their own footing, including questions of identity and sexuality.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s Ex Tate Asked About Protection for Kids

Published

on

Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex-husband, Tate Paul, asked police about getting a protective order for the former couple’s children after her 2023 domestic violence arrest.

In a phone call audio and transcripts obtained by Us Weekly on Friday, March 27, Tate asked Utah police to clarify what legal protections were put in place for his children following Taylor’s arrest.

In February 2023, Taylor was accused of striking her then-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen and throwing multiple chairs, one of which allegedly struck her daughter, Indy. (Taylor and Tate welcomed daughter Indy May, 8, and son Ocean, 5, before splitting in May 2022. The Mormon Wives star also shares a son, Ever True, 2, with Dakota.)

“That was one thing I didn’t understand. There’s a no contact order for [redacted]. Usually they do it for both children that are in the home, right?” Tate said on the call.

As Taylor Frankie Paul’s alleged domestic dispute with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen continues to make headlines, her marriage and divorce from ex-husband Tate Paul has been thrust back into the limelight. Taylor, 31, was married to Tate for six years before they divorced in summer 2022. Taylor announced their split during a viral TikTok video where […]

After the police officer confirmed that was usually how it worked, Tate continued, “Okay, because I didn’t see a protective order against [redacted]. She’s been like, obviously trying to contact [redacted] as well, just given her mental state…”

The officer explained that an initial “jail release agreement” was likely put in place, which meant the alleged offender was “not allowed to make contact with the potential victims for up to, like, a week, usually.”

He added that Tate was also able to apply for a full protective order to protect his children, which is a more long-term option.

In the same phone call, Tate detailed some of his daughter’s injuries from the incident, claiming his daughter had a bump on the head from Taylor’s chair-throwing incident. He also asked police to contact him directly about the case as opposed to Taylor’s mother Liann May, who he accused of “coaching” his daughter following the dispute.

Us Weekly has reached out to Taylor’s, Tate’s and Liann’s representatives for comment.

In 2023, Taylor was initially charged with misdemeanor assault, criminal mischief and commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child following her altercation with Dakota. After Taylor agreed to plead guilty to aggravated assault, the other charges were dismissed.

The case resurfaced earlier this month amid the release of cellphone footage of the 2023 domestic dispute, where Taylor could be seen throwing chairs during an argument with Dakota. Taylor’s spokesperson later suggested that the footage was selectively edited.

“It’s sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child,” her spokesperson told TMZ on March 19. “Releasing an old and selectively edited video on their son’s birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior.”

Dakota’s rep told Us, “As anyone who has seen the video will understand, this is a deeply upsetting situation. I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny. I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same.”

After the footage resurfaced, ABC axed Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette three days before it was scheduled to premiere.

“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” her rep told Us at the time. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”

Valerie Bertinelli has pulled back the curtains on her struggle with body image as she opened up about her “deformed” breasts.

The “Murder of Innocence” star detailed how she’d always hated her naturally small breasts and chose to get implants to add some girth, but things went sideways and left her more “embarrassed.”

Valerie Bertinelli is looking forward to what makes her happy, which includes watching her son Wolfgang Van Halen on stage, as well as her return to home cooking.

Why Valerie Bertinelli Said She Has ‘Deformed’ Breasts

Valerie Bertinelli got candid about her struggles with her appearance during a conversation with Drew Barrymore discussing her recent memoir, “Getting Naked.”

In the book, the “Night Sins” actress detailed how she had multiple surgeries on her breasts, but things went sideways and eventually led to her having “deformed” breasts. And in her chat with Barrymore, she described the situation in vivid detail.

She said, “I mean, if you read the book, you’ll know that my boobs are deformed, and I talk very extensively and graphically about how deformed they are. I had four surgeries in 2024. But Drew is like, ‘How bad can it be?’ I’m like, ‘Really?’”

Bertinelli then mimicked opening her blouse and said that Barrymore was like, “Oh yeah, that’s bad.”

“I love her honesty,” she added. “It’s like, I can trust this woman.”

Barrymore then chimed in, “And then I proceeded to be like, ‘here’s what we can do.’”

“My boobs suck, but I’m not dating, so it doesn’t matter,” Bertinelli added, per Fox News Digital, with Barrymore interjecting, “Yet.”

The Actress Opened Up About How The Situation Came To Be

In “Getting Naked,” which was released March 10, Bertinelli narrated that she had always hated her small breasts and decided to get small implants just to add some weight.

However, the results turned out more outrageous than she’d envisaged, which left her “embarrassed” to the point that she had to hide them.

“After I got the implants, I never put them on display. I tried to hide them even, embarrassed that I had done it,” she wrote.

The actress then suffered a terrible fall and had to undergo surgery to take out the old implants and have smaller ones installed some 6 weeks later.

However, just a week into it, she started experiencing discoloration and swelling in the region, and felt herself “getting dizzy.” She stated that she would also run a fever at night, and sometimes her temperature went up to 104 degrees.

Valerie Bertinelli Described The Moment She Knew Things Had Gone Bad

The “Silent Witness” actress described the moment she realized things had spiraled out of control in an interaction with People Magazine earlier this month.

“The look on my doctor’s face when he finally saw me made me think, ‘Oh sh-t, I guess I should have come in earlier.’ And he took everything out [the implant and the surrounding tissues], and then my breast became infected and started to cave in on itself. It became a crater,” Bertinelli shared.

“I have to have one more surgery to even them out,” she told the news outlet. “Me and these guys (pointing to two of her cats, Henry and Batman, along with Luna) are the only ones looking at my boobs anyway, but I don’t care because I can’t see without my glasses on … I’ll have to date somebody who can’t see.”

“Anyway, those were my boobs,” she added. “Anybody want to date me? It was so serious I just had to find the humor in it.”

The Actress Says She’s ‘Lucky To Have Survived’ The Infection

Despite Bertinelli’s condition at the time, she wanted to go to a Jon Bon Jovi concert in which her son, Wolfgang Van Halen, was playing.

However, he and his wife kept her from it, with the actress admitting she was “bummed” to have missed it.

“The have-you-lost-your-mind looks they gave me all said the same thing: ‘What part about almost dying from an infection don’t you get?’” she wrote.

According to Fox News, she noted that she’s “lucky to have survived” the infection and scare that resulted afterwards.

This includes watching her son, Wolfgang, on stage and on tour, as well as working on the “Drew Barrymore Show” as part of the “Drew Crew” of lifestyle experts.

She is also excited about her return to home cooking following the new launch of the digital platform “Valerie’s Place,” and watching long videos of birds on YouTube with her cats.
