This Is the Mount Rushmore of Vampire Movies
Vampires movies have been around since the beginning of the horror genre. With an undead force stalking its victims in the dark, the subgenre feels like a mashup of zombie movies, slashers, and creature features, while being something so much more. Sometimes vampires are purely there to scare, other times they’re sympathetic, and often sensuality and romance are involved, with a once living person now cursed by an insatiable desire.
Because they’ve been part of film for over a century, limiting the absolute best and most important vampire movies to just four is a challenge. This means omitting the likes of The Lost Boys, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Interview With a Vampire, and all of those Christopher Lee Hammer Films. So which four make it as the faces of the vampire Mount Rushmore?
‘Nosferatu’ (1922)
There is no list like this that does not begin with Nosferatu, the first ever vampire movie. Although it’s an unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker‘s novel Dracula, director F.W. Murnau is not restrained. Nosferatu follows familiar beats, with Max Schreck as Count Orlok, a vampire who travels across the ocean to Germany, complete with a plague in tow. Once he lands, he sets his sights on Ellen Hutter (Greta Schröder), the only woman who may be able to bring an end to his terror.
Nosferatu is a course in filmmaking and how to overcome limitations. Because it’s 1922, this is a silent film, meaning that the film must succeed based on its visuals. Murnau uses German Expressionism, a form of storytelling with the emotion layered on the screen through the use of lighting and twisted shapes. Nosferatu is filled with dark corners and elongated shadows, like the terrifying shots which show Orlok’s visage lit against a wall, or in a brilliant moment, his long hand reaching out. Max Schreck becomes the character, so much so that his peculiar performance led to the biopic Shadow of a Vampire starring Willem Dafoe. With his long face, pointy ears, and rat-like teeth, Orlok will send chills down your spine from a century away. There have been reboots of Noseferatu, but none did so much with so little.
‘Dracula’ (1931)
The most famous vampire movie ever made came nine years later with Tod Browning‘s Dracula. The plot is close to what Nosferatu had already done, except with the addition of Van Helsing (Edward Van Sloan) as the famed vampire hunter, and a much different representation of the villain. Rather than being monstrous, the titular Dracula, with Bela Lugosi in the role, is a suave, sophisticated antagonist with his cape, bow tie, and slicked back hair. He’s portrayed as more man-like than a horrendous creature. The pop culture representations of Dracula now, from the Hammer films to the Count in Sesame Street, started here. Bela Lugosi IS Dracula, no matter how many other adaptations there have been.
Notably, this is the first variation of Dracula to appear on-screen with sound, allowing the audience to hear what the Count sounds like with his thick, rolling, hypnotic accent. Browning nails the gothic horror aesthetic while continuing to employ the German Expressionism-like style of filmmaking that focuses on shadows and atmosphere. The director also takes his time, letting the dread slowly build, and using the tension of silence to great effect. Maybe Dracula is dated for some modern audiences, but this is the most iconic vampire movie and always will be. Dracula is a moving history lesson playing out right in front of your eyes.
‘Let the Right One In’ (2008)
There were countless vampire movies between 1931 and 2008. So why does the Swedish film Let the Right One In find itself on Mount Rushmore? Because it takes everything we know about vampires and turns it on its head, defying expectations to take a well-worn subgenre in a fresh direction. Based on a novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist, Tomas Alfredson (Tinker Tailor Solider Spy) directs this unique coming-of-age film about a bullied boy named Oskar (Kåre Hedebrant) in desperate need of a friend. He finds one in an odd girl new to town named Eli (Lina Leandersson). The twist is that Eli is a centuries-old vampire. However, rather than Oskar’s life being in danger, Let the Right One In is a sweet story about friendship and what two people will do for each other.
Vampire movies often relegate the undead to the role of the antagonist. Let the Right One In switches that up by making Eli the hero. She’s a dangerous, bloodthirsty killer, for sure, but she’s written as a creature in pain who needs someone even more than Oskar does. Rather than fearing Eli, both the audience and Oskar fall for her through one shocking twist to the next. Alfredson doesn’t overdo it with his direction. Rather than being too stylish, he stands back and lets the kids tell the stories, dipping in here and there to show the contrast of deep red blood on white snow. It’s a sad story, but Let the Right One In has one of the most messed-up, feel-good endings in horror history.
‘Sinners’ (2025)
Will Ryan Coogler ever make a bad movie? If anything, the writer and director only seems to be getting better, and Sinners proves it. Yet again, he teams up with Michael B. Jordan in what may be his most challenging role yet, because this time, he plays two characters, twin brothers Smoke and Stack. The first third of the movie isn’t a vampire movie at all. Instead, it’s a well-shot period piece about siblings in 1930s Mississippi who start their own juke joint. There’s already enough drama with local racists and the return of love interest Mary (Hailee Steinfeld). Then the vampires show up, led by the terrifying Remmick (Jack O’Connell), and all hell breaks loose.
Sinners made history by becoming the most nominated film in Academy Award history. It more than deserves every single one of them. Coogler’s directing is flawless. Jordan makes you forget that he’s playing two different people on screen at the same time. Veteran actor Delroy Lindo shines. The cinematography is stunning, the costumes impeccable. Sinners has it all. There’s a deep message there about racism. Rather than being a downer of a movie though, Sinners is also a celebration of Black culture, especially with the transformative history of Black music scene. Even if those aspects were missing, Sinners is still a great vampire movie. What puts it on Mount Rushmore is that it’s so much more.

Teddi Mellencamp Reacts to Dorit Kemsley’s Rumored Debt
Teddi Mellencamp and Dolores Catania are weighing in on speculation surrounding Dorit Kemsley’s finances following her divorce from PK Kemsley.
Speaking on the Friday, March 13, episode of “Two Ts in a Pod With Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge,” the Real Housewives stars shared their opinion as they reacted to rumors that Dorit’s home could potentially be foreclosed over spiraling debt.
“It says, ‘Dorit Kemsley Faces Foreclosure of $6.5 Million Mansion Over $842K Debt Mountain After Fans Call Out Her Shopping Addiction.’ This is on Radar,” Mellencamp, 44, said.
While Mellencamp did not elaborate on whether the report was true, she said Dorit had a right to be “concerned” if this issue was looming over her head.
For her part, Catania, 55, warned that following a divorce, issues can come back to haunt women who don’t keep across their finances during the marriage.
“She’s been very clear: ‘I don’t know my finances, I don’t know my bills. He handled it all.’ And you’re really taking a really big risk when you don’t know your finances in a marriage,” Catania said.

Catania went on to ponder how Dorit was spending her money in the wake of her split from PK.
“So she’s been on [Real Housewives] long enough. You know what I thought about when I saw this? She’s not a dumb girl. She speaks several languages,” Catania said.
Emphasizing that she was on Dorit’s “side” on the issue, Catania added, “But I thought to myself, what have you been doing with your money all this time? Have you been spending it?”
Dorit and PK — who share son Jagger, 11, and daughter Phoenix, 9 — revealed that they were going their separate ways in May 2024.
“We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together,” they said in a joint statement at the time.
“To safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children, we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children,” the exes continued. “We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey. With love, Dorit and PK.”
Dorit filed for divorce from PK in April 2025, nearly one year after they announced their separation, per court documents obtained by Us Weekly.

Elle Fanning Reveals Why She Created an OnlyFans Account
Elle Fanning found herself creating an OnlyFans account for a very specific reason.
In an interview with People published on Friday, March 13, Fanning, 27, revealed she took to the NSFW website to prepare for her latest role on AppleTV’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles.
“There were a lot of things [I did to prepare],” Fanning explained to the outlet. “Obviously, I am an Instagram user and a TikTok user. I got to look at that.”
She continued, “Also, we had to dive into OnlyFans a little bit. We did create an account for the writer’s room, and for me, so I could check out how the website is.”
Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a new TV series based on Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling 2024 novel of the same name.
The project follows Margo (Fanning) as she faces financial difficulties after dropping out of college to raise a new baby. While trying to make her writing dreams come true, Margo must lean on her mom and former Hooter’s waitress Shaynne Millet (Michelle Pfeiffer) and her father Jinx Millet (Nick Offerman) for support.
While celebrating the show’s premiere at the SXSW Film & TV Festival in Texas on Thursday, March 12, showrunner Eva Anderson provided some more context as to how OnlyFans was useful for the project.
“There was a lot of looking at OnlyFans with the writers, but we all gave consent to each other before we did it,” she explained via People. “We were very responsible and we just tried to get as much information as we could before we started.”
Fanning isn’t the only Hollywood actress who has used OnlyFans for some inspiration.
In August 2020, Bella Thorne said she joined the platform for research on a movie she was making with Sean Baker.
“It’s a feature we are researching as I’m living it currently,” Thorne, 28, explained to the Los Angeles Times. “What are the ins and outs? What does a platform like this do to its users? What’s the connective material between your life and your life inside the world of OnlyFans? … How can it change your life for the worse and the better? How far are you willing to go, and how far do you WANT to go? You can be me, or this talented girl from Montana, and OnlyFans could change your life — if you want it to, of course.”
Margo’s Got Money Troubles premieres on AppleTV Wednesday, April 15.

Kristy Sarah Details ‘Internal Bra’ Boob Job After Divorce
Kristy Scott got candid about making a personal change following her divorce filing, sharing that she recently underwent a breast augmentation.
The influencer, 30, confirmed speculation that she got a boob job after her glamorous appearance at the 2026 Grammy Awards, for which she wowed in a custom rich brown colored gown by Nicole + Felicia featuring a plunging neckline.
“OK, the majority of my audience is women,” the content creator — who goes by Kristy Sarah online — shared in a TikTok clip on Thursday, March 12. “So if you just happen to be a man, please keep scrolling.”
“After y’all saw my GlamBOT video, I got a lot of questions about the girls,” Kristy said about her look at the star-studded event that was held on February 1. “Yes, I did just get them done.”
The social media star revealed that she also opted for a supplementary aesthetic option, known as an “internal bra” while going under the knife.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, it’s a technique rather than a procedure.
“The internal bra refers to using some form of implantable scaffolding to support your own breast tissue at the same time as another procedure, such as a breast lift, augmentation or reduction,” one expert explained in an article published in April 2025.

The surgeon further clarified, “This implantable scaffolding is generally an absorbable material that your own tissue uses during the course of healing to strengthen the scar tissue and add support with the intention of giving a longer-term result.”
Kristy shared that it’s been two months since her surgery, revealing she has another four months to go until she sees the results when they settle.
It’s certainly been a transformative era for Kristy, who has also alluded to keeping the home that she and estranged husband Desmond Scott built from scratch post-split. “Same address,” she captioned an Instagram post on January 14.
She filed divorce paperwork to end her marriage on December 30, 2025, per documents obtained by Us Weekly. She cited infidelity as the reason for their split. (The exes share two kids together, 7-year-old son Vance and 6-year-old son Westin.)
Desmond, 32, apologized to “Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation” while breaking his silence via Instagram Stories in January.
“Kristy and I faced challenges and made sincere efforts to work through them,” he explained. Desmond acknowledged that he made “choices that I am not proud of” while they tried to work through their separation as a couple. “I took responsibility for those actions,” he added. “I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce.”

Sebastian Bach Addresses Christina Applegate, Brad Pitt Drama
Sebastian Bach is breaking his silence after Christina Applegate revealed she ditched Brad Pitt for the rocker at 1989 VMAs.
“[I] was very surprised when that all hit,” Bach, 57, said of Applegate’s confession in an interview with Billboard published on Friday, March 13. “I was a single guy on tour, in a band, and I met a lot of girls and I apologize if I hurt her … If I hurt anybody.”
Bach added that during that time of his life, he was just beginning his journey as a bona fide rockstar.
“When you’re young you get thrown into the whirlwind of rock ‘n’ roll, meeting a lot of people and you better hold on tight,” he continued. “It’s like being on a roller coaster … It was a long time ago. If I hurt anybody, I apologize for it.”
Applegate, 54, and Bach’s connection made headlines following the release of her memoir, You With the Sad Eyes, earlier this month. In the book, the Married With Children actress revealed she was once entangled in a love triangle with Pitt and Bach. While Applegate brought Pitt, who hadn’t made a name for himself in Hollywood at the time, as her date to the VMAs, where she was presenting, she quickly became entranced by Bach, who was there with his band Skid Row.
“I had spent all night staring at Bach, who was then a long-haired hunk fronting the band Skid Row,” she wrote. “I hate to put it like this, but Brad back then was still making his way as an actor, and he wasn’t yet THE Brad Pitt, the man of so many people’s dreams.”
While Applegate came with Pitt, she ended up leaving the show with Bach.
“I felt so powerful and sure of myself for once that when the awards show was over, I left with Sebastian Bach,” she continued. “Brad was left to sullenly drive my mom and [friend] Lori [Allison] home. Apparently, at a gas station on the way, Brad almost got into a fight with a bunch of gang members, and, not surprisingly, was subsequently very mad at me.”
Applegate added that she and Pitt “didn’t talk for many years” after the incident, and she never really got to have a romance with Bach.
“Eventually, we agreed that I’d been a kid,” she wrote of Pitt, noting that “he’d deserved much better” and “it was time to forgive the child who dumped him for the lead singer of Skid Row.”

Madison Pettis Claims Ex Michael Porter Jr. Was a ‘Psychopath’
Madison Pettis shaded her ex-boyfriend, Michael Porter Jr., while discussing their breakup.
Pettis, 27, appeared on an episode of the “In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele” podcast earlier this month. During her chat with Thiele, Pettis shared that she is a big fan of basketball which led him to ask if she would consider dating an NBA player.
“Um, yeah,” she said before explaining her history with Porter Jr. “I mean, my ex is now in the NBA. When we dated, he was in high school and college.”
Pettis also gave some insight into the alleged reason for their split.
“I broke up with him before he was in the league because he was a psychopath,” she claimed. “I do think a lot of athletes are not great partners, but I wouldn’t, like, rule it out because I do love what they do. I would have respect for them and love to talk to them about their passion.”
Us Weekly has reached out to Porter Jr. for comment.
Pettis and Porter Jr., 27, dated from 2016 to 2017. Pettis is best known for getting her start as a child actress on Disney Channel. She most recently appeared in the rom-coms He’s All That and The Wrong Paris.
One year after their split, Porter Jr. was drafted by the Denver Nuggets. The forward won his first championship with the Nuggets in 2023. Two years later, Porter Jr. was traded to the Brooklyn Nets.
Porter Jr. has made headlines in recent years for his controversial dating comments. Last year, Porter Jr. shared that he would have the women he dated listen to polarizing podcaster Andrew Tate to see their reaction to his viewpoints. (Tate is best known for promoting masculinity and slamming feminism.)
“So, I’m not saying I’m a misogynist or anything, but I’ll throw on some Andrew Tate and see how they react,” Porter Jr. said during a 2025 episode of the “One Night with Steiny” podcast. “I’ll bring up, like, conversations and play devil’s advocate just to see how this girl, like, thinks about certain things.”
Porter Jr. also shared that he prefers to date women who have not been with another NBA star.
“I feel like if you dated like publicly, like a player, it would be hard just because of … it would be tough dating someone’s old girl and they just always have that over you,” he said on a September 2025 episode of his “Curious Mike” podcast. “It could be like an ego thing or like I don’t know … I’m open to change, I’m not stuck in my ways.”

Who Killed Calvin on Virgin River Before Charmaine’s Exit?
After waiting for over a year, viewers finally found out who died in the newest season of Virgin River.
The season 6 finale, which aired in December 2024, showed Jack (Martin Henderson) arriving at Charmaine’s (Lauren Hammersley) home, only to find a startling scene.
When the hit Netflix series returned for season 7 on Thursday, March 12, it was confirmed that Charmaine was kidnapped while Calvin (Josh Blacker) had been killed.
Charmaine was the main suspect since she was nowhere to be found. Brie (Zibby Allen), however, figured out that the mom of two was taken hostage and ultimately connected it back to Charmaine’s boss Grant (Alessandro Juliani).
Grant claimed he killed Calvin to protect Charmaine. He was ultimately arrested for murdering Calvin and abducting Charmaine.
“I knew somebody was dead, but I wasn’t sure who exactly it was until I knew what it would lead to,” showrunner Patrick Sean Smith told TV Line on Thursday. “I saw the potential in what the different [options] were, but I wanted to explore all the different choices to see which played best in the totality of the season.”

Smith called Calvin’s death a “convenient” way to end Calvin’s story. He noted that Calvin has “already come back from the dead and wants his children and has murdered people. [The actor was recast in season 6] as well, so it just felt like an opportunity to clean that out.”
Season 7 of Virgin River went through several cast changes. News broke on Thursday that Marco Grazzini won’t be returning as a series regular.
“Character departures are very common in this business — especially on a long-running and beloved series like Virgin River,” Grazzini, 45, who has been on the show since season 2, told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s been a wonderful opportunity to play Mike for six seasons.”
Grazzini said he has “nothing but love for the cast, crew and especially the phenomenal fans who make the show so special,” adding, “I’m excited for this new chapter in my career.”
In addition to Grazzini, Lauren Hammersley, who has been playing Charmaine since the show premiered on Netflix in 2019, is also not expected to come back. With the exception of Grazzini, the rest of Virgin River‘s season 7 series regulars are expected to return in season 8.
This isn’t the first time the show has gone through some changes behind the scenes. Grayson Gurnsey left as Ricky after season 4, and Mark Ghanimé, who played Cameron, had a surprising exit once season 6 was released.
Virgin River is currently streaming on Netflix.

Jana Kramer Warned Ex Mike Caussin About Book Revelations
Jana Kramer has been an open book about her divorce from ex-husband Mike Caussin — but she wouldn’t have shared everything publicly without his approval.
“Even writing stuff about my ex in my book, it’s like, ‘Hey, I’m obviously writing stories, here are some of them. Would you like to see them?’” Kramer, 42, recalled on the Friday, March 13, episode of her “Whine Down” podcast.
Kramer said that she gave Caussin, 39, a heads-up about what she planned to include in her 2023 book, The Next Chapter: Making Peace with Hard Memories, Finding Hope All Around Me, and Clearing Space for Good Things to Come―Navigating Heartbreak and Loss with Wisdom.
Kramer explained, “I think it’s the respectful thing to do to reach out to people if you’re going to talk about them.”
The One Tree Hill alum joked that she told Caussin at the time that “because our book deal about trust went away,” she was instead going to write about her experience as a divorcee.
The now-exes previously collaborated on The Good Fight: Wanting to Leave, Choosing to Stay, and the Powerful Practice for Loving Faithfully and were supposed to work together on a second project about trust when Kramer learned that Caussin allegedly cheated on her . (Caussin has not publicly spoke about the alleged infidelity, but Kramer wrote about it in her book). They split for good in spring 2021.
“I said, what I want you to know first and foremost is that this isn’t an ‘I hate Mike book.’ This is about my year post-divorce,” Kramer remembered on Friday’s podcast.
She told him, “There are things I didn’t speak about to protect you, mostly the kids. Because if there were certain things I put in there he would’ve fought [about it].”
Kramer told her listeners, “I felt like I was tasteful enough with the stories” and Caussin agreed.
“He goes, ‘I trust that you are saying what you’re saying about the stories and that you wouldn’t put in what I would hope you wouldn’t,’” she shared.
Kramer confessed that if the tables were turned, “I would’ve read every single page.”
When asked whether she would have “changed” any parts of the story if Caussin had objected, Kramer admitted that she would but only “pieces” of her book because it was her “truth.”
Kramer noted that when it comes to her split from Caussin, her book and what she discusses on her podcast only focuses on their past together, not what the retired NFL player is doing now.

Mike Caussin, Jana Kramer. Rick Diamond/Getty Images for CMT
“Whatever you do now, it’s not on me to talk about. I’m not that person,” Kramer said. “All I’ve ever talked about was past experiences when we were in a marriage.”
Kramer announced in April 2021 that she and Caussin were getting divorced after nearly six years of marriage.
“‘It’s time.’ As I try to make sense of a reality I never wanted to believe could be possible again, those words have now become a reality,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. ”I’ve fought y’all. I’ve loved hard. I’ve forgiven. I’ve put the work in. I’ve given everything I have, and now I have nothing else to give.”
Kramer and Caussin previously separated in 2016 after Us Weekly broke the news that he was unfaithful. Caussin later entered treatment for sex addiction and the pair renewed their vows in 2017.
The exes, who share daughter Jolie, 10, and son Jace, 7, split for good in 2021 after he allegedly confessed to cheating on her again. (Kramer is now married to Allan Russell, with whom she shares son Roman, 2.)
Kramer has continued to speak about her highs and lows with Caussin as well as their coparenting dynamic on her podcast.
In her book, she claimed that amid their divorce proceedings, Caussin told her, “You know, I never really loved you.”
“He wanted to hurt me, and news flash, it did,” she wrote. “I had taken massive steps away from him and toward a new future in the last few weeks, but hearing those words confirmed the little voice in my head that had been telling me that everything he did and said in our marriage was because he didn’t love me.”

3 Prime Video Shows Perfect for a Weekend Binge
March has already been a great month for Prime Video subscribers, as a brand-new screen adaptation of a classic literary tale has taken the streamer by storm. Able to overcome competition from the likes of Fallout Season 2 and the return of Ben Watkins‘ Cross, Young Sherlock, based on the young adult thriller novel series Young Sherlock Holmes by Andrew Lane, immediately topped the Prime Video streaming charts in the U.S. Boasting the burgeoning acting talent of Hero Fiennes Tiffin and the directing prowess of veteran Guy Ritchie, Young Sherlock is a hit. But for those who have already finished with their binge of the series, what should you watch next? To help you decide, here’s a look at three Prime Video shows you need to binge this weekend.
For more recommendations, check out our list of the best shows and movies on Prime Video.
1
‘Scarpetta’ (2026)
Rotten Tomatoes: 71% | IMDb: 5.7/10
The hottest new arrival on Prime Video this week is the perfect place to begin this list of recommendations. Scarpetta, based on Patricia Cornwell’s book series of the same name, follows the brilliant titular forensic pathologist, portrayed by Nicole Kidman, as she travels to various locations solving improbable crimes and puzzling mysteries using her detailed skillset.
Praised for “captivating” performances in Aidan Kelley‘s review for Collider, Scarpetta‘s biggest highlight has to be its star-studded cast. Kidman alone is enough to lead a series, but throw in the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis, Bobby Cannavale, Ariana DeBose, and Simon Baker, and a recipe for a streaming hit is born. Already rivaling Young Sherlock for the Prime Video crown, join the rest of the world in binge-watching Scarpetta.
2
‘A Small Light’ (2023)
Rotten Tomatoes: 100% | IMDb: 8.4/10
At a time when the world seems constantly frightening, this series is the perfect reminder that light pushes through even in the darkest times. A Small Light follows the life of Miep Gies (Bel Powley), a Dutch woman most famous for sheltering Anne Frank (Billie Boulet) during the Holocaust for more than two years.
To take such a powerful true story and turn it into eight phenomenal episodes is no easy task, but to do so with such delicate respect for the real people at its heart is even more remarkable. A Small Light is one of the best historical series of this decade and boasts a terrific selection of performances, led by Powley in a turn that earned her a Critics’ Choice Award nomination.
3
‘Clean Slate’ (2025)
Rotten Tomatoes: 87% | IMDb: 6.6/10
For something different this weekend, why not try a series that was cruelly cancelled way before its time? That series is Clean Slate, which follows Desiree Slate (Laverne Cox) as she returns to her hometown in Alabama to reunite with her estranged father, Harry (George Wallace). However, the last time Harry saw Desiree, she was living as a man.
As trans voices continue to be silenced, help this gem of a series let its voice be heard. There has been no official reason given for the show’s cancellation, and it doesn’t take a genius to see why a series like this could face the ax quicker than its contemporaries in a divisive political climate. A smart, funny sitcom with plenty of important stuff to say, don’t let Clean Slate pass you by.
