This ‘Office’ Cold Open Was So Offensive NBC Erased It From Existence

Published

on

Jenna Fischer's Pam in The Office

Editor’s Note: This article contains discussion of suicide and mental health that could be triggering. The Office became one of the funniest sitcoms ever made by delivering different varieties of comedy. Like a traditional sitcom, it found laughs in conflict and physical humor, but what set the series apart from most other sitcoms is the ability to find the most cringeworthy moment it could put a character in and then sit in that moment for as long as possible. With its faux-documentary style and the lack of a laugh track, that realism only made the purposely awkward scenes even more uncomfortable. There’s no character on The Office more cringe than Michael Scott (Steve Carell). The guy means well, but his lack of self-awareness lands him in trouble often. However, in one episode of The Office, Michael went so far over the top that a certain scene was cut from all future airings, partially because of the wife of then-NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker.

That scene’s absence is especially relevant now, with The Office: The Complete Series – Superfan Extended Episodes arriving on Digital and Blu-ray on July 14. The release includes 194 extended episodes and more than 25 hours of previously unaired footage, though it’s unclear whether this controversial cold open will be included, given the sensitive nature of why it was removed.

The Employees of Dunder Mifflin Created Their Own Haunted House

Michael Scott isn’t the brightest man, and there are a lot of insecurities wrapped up in just how little he knows. For example, look at The Office‘s second-ever episode, “Diversity Day”. When he gets in trouble for repeating a Chris Rock routine — not done out of malice, but simply because he likes comedy — the office is made to undergo diversity training. It all goes wrong due to Michael, again, not out of any malice or racism, but because he’s clueless. He’s a good person who loves everyone, so his actions are funny instead of offensive.

Michael’s lack of awareness also gets him in trouble in The Office‘s sixth season episode “Koi Pond.” Debuting on October 29, 2009, the episode is in part about Michael accompanying Jim on a meeting, only to embarrass himself as usual by falling into a koi pond. It’s not a Halloween-themed episode, but with it coming out two days before the holiday, “Koi Pond” featured a Halloween cold open. Down in the warehouse, a haunted house is created to scare the kids of Dunder Mifflin employees. That’s a fun idea, but Michael takes it too far. At the end of the haunted house, Michael, wearing a wrapped present box on his crotch (a nod to the Lonely Island’s viral “Dick in a Box” video that premiered on SNL that year), falls from the ceiling with a noose wrapped around his neck. He writhes around as if he’s actually dying, while the kids scream in horror. He shakes until he’s “dead,” before breaking character and saying, “Kids, just remember, suicide is never the answer.”

Michael Scott’s Pretend Death Made Light of a Sensitive Subject

It’s a hilariously upsetting scene that’s pure Michael Scott at his “best”. You have Michael dressed as one of the guys from “Dick in a Box” (in front of kids, mind you), contrasted with the seriousness of suicide, with him thinking it’s all okay to do because he has a serious message for the children at the end. If someone did this in real life, we’d be upset, but this is Michael Scott. He simply thinks he has a funny Halloween costume and is just scaring kids in a haunted house, while also being a caring adult.

Too far, Michael. Too far.

Still, it is offensive to make a joke out of suicide, and it wasn’t the only time The Office did it either. In the Season 3 episode “Safety Training,” Michael wants to deliver a message about the seriousness of depression and self-harm, so he goes to the roof to fake his death in front of everyone. The joke, though, is that no one believes he’s really going to jump, and he chickens out of his plan to leap off and land on a trampoline. It’s then up to the Scranton workers to save him from accidentally hurting himself.

The Scene Was Removed Partially Because of the Wife of NBC Universal’s CEO

You can still watch “Safety Training,” but if you watch “Koi Pond” now on Peacock, DVD, or syndication, you won’t find the haunted house cold open. It only aired one time before being removed forever. It’s a shame that it’s gone now, because it has other funny moments, like Creed (Creed Bratton) dressed up as a vampire who wants to sell the kids’ blood, and Jim (John Krasinski), whose costume is nothing more than writing “BOOK” on his face; he’s trying to be clever with Facebook, but Darryl (Craig Robinson) calls him Bookface.

NBC got complaints from viewers who were upset about The Office using suicide as comedy, so the network decided to take out the scene from any future airings. However, it wasn’t just fans who got the scene pulled. According to AV Club, they were told by an anonymous producer on The Office that the scene was pulled because of Caryn Zucker. She was the then-wife of Jeff Zucker, who was the CEO of NBC Universal. Caryn, who worked in suicide prevention, was offended by the scene and asked her husband to remove it. He then called NBC reps and producers from The Office, where they decided “the episode was re-cut and re-delivered, with the original HD-SR delivery masters collected back from NBC and thrown into deep storage.”

It makes sense why the scene was removed, but it’s still a funny example of just how clueless Michael Scott is. Viewers weren’t clueless, though. It’s good that the moment was taken out, but it’s also disappointing that we lost the debut of the iconic Bookface.

The Office is available to watch on Peacock in the U.S.

M.I.A’s Marta Milans Wants Tony Goldwyn to Play Her Husband

Published

on

TV Ships

Marta Milans is excited to dive deeper into her M.I.A character’s arc in season 2 — and she has the perfect person she hopes will come play her onscreen husband.

“I don’t know why Tony Goldwyn is in my mind right now,” Milans exclusively told Us Weekly after the Peacock show premiered on Thursday, May 7. “Since we were just talking about Scandal, it has to be some WASP royalty.”

Milans noted that Goldwyn “is the epitome” of a perfect scene partner, adding, “Let’s call him.”

Created by Ozark‘s Bill Dubuque, M.I.A is a crime drama focused on Etta Tiger Jonze (Shannon Gisela), who seeks to avenge her family’s murder and rise to power in the Miami underworld.

Fan-favorite TV couples like 9-1-1’s Buck and Eddie, The Bear’s Sydney and Carmy and Tracker’s Colter and Reenie — or Billie — deserve to finally get together on screen in 2026. Based on Jeffery Deaver‘s novel The Never Game, Tracker has viewers tuning in each week to see their favorite fictional survivalist — a.k.a Colter […]

Milans, meanwhile, is related to the crime family responsible for Etta’s family being murdered — but she is trying to set herself apart.

“Caroline is not a criminal. She’s definitely on the edge. She is the daughter of a cartel leader but her dad made sure that Caroline would be the legitimate child — and he tries really hard to keep her out of that dark world,” she noted. “That is why I think her brothers have a chip on their shoulder about that and resent the fact that Caroline is the golden child. She gets sent off to university to get a great education. She comes back and she’s polished, well spoken and well dressed.”

Milans is meant to represent another side to the fictional crime family, telling Us, “She really carries that side very well. I think it’s fascinating to me to get to play that because she navigates both worlds very well. She does obviously walk over to the dark side later on in the season and you’ll see that. But until that moment, her ruthlessness and her hunger for getting her agenda and her goals executed will make her stop at nothing.”

The actress found it “really challenging and exciting” to play Caroline.

“It also is hilarious to me because her brothers will be torturing and killing people and they’re all dressed in perfectly crisp white shirts. You’re like, ‘You might want to wear something darker.’ But it works so well for that side of the story,” Milans said. “But then to also cut to Caroline and her ridiculous mansion with her luxurious suits and shoes. It was a lot of fun to create her wardrobe.”

Milans continued: “The way she presents herself is very informative of who she is and I think that was very exciting. … We had a wonderful showrunner that was very adamant about creating back stories for characters and that was very helpful to us.”

While reflecting on the work that went into M.I.A, Milans credited the writing team for helping evolve the show, saying, “We did get a lot of information that we could build on that’s not necessarily in the script or that is not talked about on screen. But if you inform that and build that, that really shines through. That’s part of the reason why the characters are so fully formed. Even if they’re cartel leaders, there is a layered construct in those characters. That was really important to me to dive deep into that.”

M.I.A is currently streaming on Peacock.

Netflix’s 3-Part Crime Epic Is So Addictive, You’ll Finish It in One Weekend

Published

Brett Cullen in Narcos Season 3

Pedro Pascal has blossomed into one of the biggest stars in the world in the last few years. While it’s tough to pinpoint what has contributed the most to his rising stardom, many fans would argue that The Mandalorian put more eyes on him than any of his other recent roles, which is ironic, considering he rarely shows his face in the show. Just last year, Pascal starred in the most financially successful movie of his career in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, alongside Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Julia Garner, and Ralph Ineson. He’s set to return to his now signature role of Reed Richards later this year in Avengers: Doomsday, which will certainly take the crown from F4 as the highest-grossing movie of Pascal’s career.

While Pascal has been a force in sci-fi and even fantasy with his work in Game of Thrones, he’s also starred in more grounded projects over the years. Pascal is one of the headlining stars in Netflix’s most binge-worthy crime saga of all time, Narcos. Pascal stars alongside Wagner Moura in the series, who recently earned his first Oscar nomination for his performance in The Secret Agent. He can also be heard lending his voice to the role of Brender Lawson in Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord. Narcos ran for three seasons between 2015 and 2017 — a timeline that’s almost unheard of nowadays — and although it’s approaching 10 years since an episode of the show was released, it remains one of the most popular binges in the world on Netflix. The same can be said for its spin-off, Narcos: Mexico, which also ran for three seasons and stars Scoot McNairy.

The last question is the most honest one.

Your Partner Has Been Assigned
Your Perfect Partner Is…

Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.

Rambo

Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.

James Bond

Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.

Indiana Jones

Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane

Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.

Ethan Hunt

Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

Prime Video Made Crime Dramas Essential Again With This Modern Masterpiece

Published

on

Titus Welliver in Bosch: Legacy

After years attempting to adapt one of his most popular characters for the big screen, author Michael Connelly‘s iconic character, Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch, ultimately debuted on television in 2014 with Prime Video’s crime drama series Bosch, kicking off a franchise that made the genre essential viewing for the streaming era. Over 10 years after the series first premiered, it’s time to revisit how Bosch became a television masterpiece.

‘Bosch’ Achieves an Incredible Layer of Realism

One element that makes Bosch unique among other contemporary police procedurals is its impressive realism. Bosch avoids the extra layer of polish or oversaturated color palette typically used in police procedurals airing on network television, so it never looks overproduced. The version of Los Angeles depicted in the Prime Video series resembles the one that people see if they step outside their front doors.

Bosch‘s gritty aesthetic also elevates the show’s immersion factor; the titular character’s station in the Rampart Division hardly looks like a state-of-the-art, high-tech facility. The show never looks like it’s shot on sets or sound stages, but rather genuine offices, conference rooms, buildings, and homes. The show purposely doesn’t appear overly fancy because it’s not trying to be a slick crime drama.

Titus Welliver in Bosch: Legacy

Titus Welliver Officially Confirms “Discussions” About ‘Bosch: Legacy’ Season 4

Please come back.

This unpolished look enhances Bosch‘s overall tone as it depicts the dark abyss that its lead character navigates in every season. The eponymous detective sees L.A. at its absolute worst, and viewers see the effect it has on his mental state. Consider what Renée Ballard (Maggie Q) asserts in the series finale of Bosch: Legacy: “When you do this work, you go into the darkness, and I think some of that darkness has gotten into you.” Every episode of Bosch carries that intangible darkness, which the series’ lead must routinely confront without letting it consume him.

Titus Welliver Leads a Stellar Cast in ‘Bosch’

Top to bottom, Bosch boasts an incredible cast, but none surpasses Welliver, who perfectly brings Connelly’s character to life on screen as a fully realized persona. Welliver’s portrayal is so convincing, in fact, that it’s impossible not to envision him in the role when reading any of Connelly’s books. The actor takes complete ownership of the detective and his facets, including his darker side, his dogged pursuit of justice, and his clear-cut moral code. Bosch lives by a creed of “everybody counts, or no one does,” so every victim deserves justice, no matter the circumstances. Every season, Welliver portrays Bosch meeting that challenge with aplomb.

Despite Bosch’s harsh and grimly cynical personality, Welliver also showcases the character’s softer, more compassionate side with his daughter, Madeline “Maddie” Bosch (Madison Lintz), as well as his relationship with LAPD Chief Irvin Irving (the late, great Lance Reddick). The two often clash over their differing styles and methodologies in police work, but the show’s best moments occur when they put aside their differences. Welliver and Reddick had amazing chemistry together onscreen, and their interpersonal dynamic was second to none. Reddick also took Irving one step further than his book counterpart, coining an iconic catchphrase about Bosch that’s become synonymous with the series.

‘Bosch’ Made Procedural Crime Dramas More Dangerous and Mature

Bosch‘s grounded aesthetic is enhanced by a more mature subject matter regarding the detective’s cases and investigations. Bosch is depicted in many episodes investigating serial killers, violence against women and children, and perpetrators of sexual abuse. Much like Connelly’s source material, the series doesn’t hold the audience’s hand regarding these powerful and sometimes intense depictions. However, the storylines are treated with the gravitas and seriousness they deserve, usually through Bosch acting as the sentinel of justice. The show doesn’t always wrap up various conflicts or mysteries with a neat little bow. Sometimes the outcomes of various cases feel hollow, which imbues the series with a more melancholy tone, but the writers still treat the material with thoughtful introspection.

Although Bosch has wrapped up and its sequel series, Bosch: Legacy, was canceled, the franchise lives on with the spin-off series, Ballard, which will debut its second season later this year on Prime Video. A planned prequel series, Bosch: Start of Watch, is also due to be released on the streamer. Despite its end, the indelible legacy of high-quality, adult crime dramas Bosch established still endures.

Lindsey Vonn and Skier Matthieu Bailet Spark Dating Rumors

Published

on

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Lindsey Vonn and French skier Matthieu Bailet sparked romance rumors after a recent outing.

Vonn, 41, and Bailet, 30, were spotted together on Thursday, May 7, in New York City. According to photos obtained by Page Six, the athletes were snapped walking around SoHo and sitting next to each other while waiting for the subway.

Bailet rocked a light blue button shirt paired with navy trousers and a matching sport coat.

Vonn donned white pants and a black jacket. She walked with crutches amid her recovery from her scary crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy in February.

While neither Vonn nor Bailet have addressed their connection, they do follow each other on social media. They are both alpine ski racers and have competed in the sport’s world cup numerous times.

In addition to her outing with Bailet, Vonn attended the Met Gala earlier this week. The Olympian ditched her crutches for the first time since her Olympics crash. Vonn stunned in a custom Thom Browne gown for the event.

Ahead of the annual fundraiser, Vonn spoke about how important it was for her to attend the event without her crutches.

“I’ve been in such a different world, especially since my crash,” she told Vogue ahead of the Met Gala. “This is kind of my coming-out party — I get to be around people, wearing a dress that’s beautiful and feminine, and put my crutches down for the first time.”

Vonn continued, “Monday will be the first few steps that I take — definitely first stairs — without crutches. I’m excited, for many reasons, to get to that point.”

Vonn suffered a compound fracture and tibial plateau fracture in her left leg after crashing at the Milano Cortina Games. She underwent multiple surgeries, including one to save her leg after suffering compartment syndrome.

Days before her crash at the Olympics, Vonn tore her ACL during her race at the World Cup in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. Despite the injury, she decided to still compete in the Olympics after undergoing physical tests.

“I have determined I am capable of competing in the Olympic Downhill on Sunday. Of course I will still need to do one training run, as is required to race on Sunday, but… I am confident in my body’s ability to perform,” she said ahead of the race. “Despite my injuries my knee is stable, I do not have swelling and my muscles are firing and reacting as they should. I will obviously be continuing to evaluate with my medical team on a daily basis to make sure we are making smart decisions but I have every intention of competing on Sunday.”

Following her multiple surgeries, Vonn embarked on an intense rehab plan that included hyperbaric chamber sessions and a workout regimen.

“All these things, it took time,” she said. “There were so many layers to it. That made it challenging. And then of course, when you have such slow progress, that inevitably becomes more mentally challenging as well.”

Robert Downey Jr. Slammed For Criticizing Influencers

Published

on

Robert Downey Jr. at Los Angeles Premiere Of HBO Original Limited Series ''The Sympathizer''

As influencers continue to dominate worldwide, Robert Downey Jr. is making it clear he does not believe they are the “stars of the future.”

The “Iron Man” star, who rose to fame in the mid-1980s and later became one of Hollywood’s most celebrated actors, recently slammed the influencer culture, likening influencers to “evangelical hucksters.”

His remarks have since sparked backlash online, with many social media users accusing the actor of hypocrisy.

In an appearance on the “Conversations for our Daughters” podcast, Downey Jr. cleared some things off his chest about social media fame and influencer culture. He noted how the entertainment industry has evolved, as becoming famous back in his younger years was way different from today.

“In the late ’70s, early ’80s, dangerous though it was, there was this sense that the competition wasn’t so stiff that you shouldn’t even bother trying,” Downey Jr. explained to host Bran Ferren. “Whereas, nowadays, people can create a celebrity without ever doing much besides rolling a phone on themselves.”

Although the “Oppenheimer” actor admitted his comments might sound harsh, he said he does not completely see the change as a bad thing. However, he dismissed the idea that influencers would become the biggest stars in entertainment.

“When I hear people talk about, ‘Oh, the stars of the future are going to be influencers,’  I go, ‘I don’t know what world you’re living in, but I think that that is absolute horseshit,’” the Oscar winner declared.

The 61-year-old went on to recall his 13-year-old son getting drawn into a gaming stream where viewers donate money to creators and taking to touring that path. He then compared influencers to “the evangelical hucksters of the Information Age.”

Downey Jr.’s remarks quickly went mainstream, with many social media users criticizing him for attacking influencer culture while earning huge amounts from Hollywood movies himself.

One X user wrote, “You are as overpaid and overhyped as these influencers. The world evolves. Remember, before movie and TV performers, theater actors were the biggest entertainers.”

Another critic commented, “Rich coming from a guy getting paid $100 million for two films with limited screen time.”

A third user remarked that it was not a good look for someone as successful as Downey Jr. to cast shade on “those still trying.”

Others accused the actor of hypocrisy, with one commenter calling him a “greedy f—” who should not complain after making millions from Disney superhero films. Another user warned him to “stop acting as if celebrities should be idolized.”

As criticism continued online, Downey Jr. has also lost his spot as one of Hollywood’s biggest box office stars after Scarlett Johansson moved ahead thanks to the success of “Jurassic World: Rebirth” last year.

According to The Blast, the movie pushed Johansson’s career earnings in leading roles to $14.61 billion worldwide, slightly ahead of both Samuel L. Jackson and Downey Jr., whose total stands at $14.3 billion.

Johansson’s achievement stands out even more because she reached the milestone with fewer movies. While Downey Jr. built his total across 45 films, Johansson did it in just 36.

Even though he lost the top spot, Downey Jr. could still make a major comeback with his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Avengers: Doomsday.”

Marvel boss Kevin Feige has since spoken about recasting Downey Jr., explaining that the studio never ruled out bringing him back after “Avengers: Endgame” ended Tony Stark’s story.

Instead of reviving “Iron Man,” the production chose an unexpected route by casting Downey Jr. as iconic villain Doctor Doom in upcoming films.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Feige explained that the idea came as Downey Jr. was receiving widespread acclaim for Oppenheimer, leading the studio to believe he could reinvent himself.

Margaret Josephs Teases Golden Life RHONY Spinoff, Cameo

RHONJs Margaret Josephs Says Golden Life Spinoff Is Spectacular After Filming With OG RHONY Women Vulture

Margaret Josephs is spilling the tea about E!’s The Golden Life after confirming her cameo to Us!

“Maybe I did a little stint in Palm Beach,” Margaret, 59, exclusively told Us Weekly while attending the Vulture Reality Masterminds Celebration at The Lawn Club in New York City on Thursday, May 7.

While Margaret initially played coy about her participation in E!’s upcoming reunion show — which is focused on former Real Housewives of New York stars — she did eventually tease what fans can expect from the series.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum told Us that Florida was “warm” and “fun,” before confirming, “I was with iconic women that I always love.”

Margaret gushed about the cast, saying, “They’re my friends. I admire them.”

Although she didn’t reveal how many episodes she’ll be featured on, Margaret was adamant that viewers will love every minute.

“I think that’s going to be a very spectacular show. I think it’s going to be a really spectacular show,” she declared.

E! confirmed in February that the network had greenlit the new show, starring RHONY alums Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan, all of whom now live in Palm Beach, Florida.

“Bound by decades of shared history, fallouts and friendship, this fan-favorite group of New Yorkers are starting fresh together in the Sunshine State,” E! announced in a press release at the time. “In this new ‘golden’ era of life, the longtime friends are thriving in and around Palm Beach with fabulous second homes and a bustling social scene. With their signature humor and nonstop hijinks, the series will follow the group as they navigate dating, family and career milestones. Though skies are bright in Florida, unresolved drama looms as they reconnect after years of highs and lows.”

Earlier this month, the network released the first look at the show, which will be 10 episodes.

After joking about not having the stamina to date younger men, and Ramona’s need for “turtle time” a.k.a. lying down daily, the women declared they are living their “best lives” in Florida and want fans to come along for the ride.

While Margaret will not be a full-time cast member on The Golden Life, she’s been staying busy shooting with the RHONY ladies after exiting RHONJ in March.

“Thank you and good night,” Margaret captioned an Instagram video on March 24, tagging Bravo, producer Andy Cohen and NBCUniversal. “Hi guys, it’s The Marge, I’m dialing in. I have to tell you something that might come as a little surprise to you, but not for me. I’ve been thinking about a lot of different things and I am moving on from The [Real] Housewives of New Jersey.”

Margaret, who made her RHONJ debut during season 8 in 2017, noted she’d been speaking with Bravo since December 2025 about her departure.

“I think the timing is right. A lot of things have changed in my life. I’ve been blessed to work on a different project, I’m on the set right now,” she teased. “I realized I have to spend more time with my family, work on my designing and just take a break and move on.”

Us exclusively confirmed that same month that Margaret is one of the stars of Savannah Chrisley’s new Amazon series, which will also feature Real Housewives alums Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kenya Moore and former Bachelorettes Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jenn Tran, among other reality stars.

“It’s like Eat, Pray, Love,” a source told Us in March of the untitled show, which has been described as “basically a spin on Bravo’s Girls Trip franchise.” (Bravo’s Ultimate Girls Trip follows several Real Housewives stars as they travel to a vacation destination.)

Margaret, for her part, told Us on Thursday, “I filmed another show already for Amazon Prime, which I’m very happy with. It was an amazing show.”

HBO Max’s 3-Part Masterpiece Hits 1 Billion Minutes Watched in a Single Week

Published

on

the-pitt-poster.jpg

It’s unusual for a streamer other than Netflix or Prime Video to have more than one title on the Nielsen streaming charts, but when they do, it’s usually a doozy. According to the tracker’s latest data, updated in the first week of May, Netflix had three titles in the top 10, while Prime Video, Paramount+, Disney+, and Hulu had one each. Somewhat surprisingly, HBO Max claimed two spots on the top 10 list, with the evergreen sitcom The Big Bang Theory coming in at number seven. More impressively, HBO Max also took the number one spot on the Nielsen ratings with arguably its biggest breakout hit in quite some time. Not only has the show in question received near-unanimous praise from critics and audiences, but it has also proven that old-fashioned television isn’t entirely obsolete in the streaming era.

The show premiered in 2025 to critical acclaim and instant viewership success, which seems to have carried over into its sophomore season. Following a strict production cycle that sets it apart from series such as Stranger Things and The Boys, which took several years between seasons, the HBO Max series returned with a new batch of episodes like clockwork, exactly a year later. The series recently concluded its second season and has been renewed for a third. In line with its old-fashioned format, the series offers audiences higher episode counts than other streaming titles. Each season comprises 15 episodes.

Your Assignment Has Been Made
You Belong In…

Your answers have pointed to one fictional hospital above all others. This is the ward your instincts, your temperament, and your particular brand of dysfunction were built for.

Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center

The Pitt

You are built for the most unsparing version of emergency medicine television has ever shown — one that puts you inside a single fifteen-hour shift and doesn’t let you look away.

  • You need your work to be real, not romanticised — meaning over drama, honesty over aesthetics.
  • You find purpose inside the work itself, not in the chaos surrounding it.
  • You’ve made peace with the fact that this job takes from you constantly, and gives back in ways that are harder to name.
  • Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center demands exactly that kind of person — and you would not want to be anywhere else.

County General Hospital, Chicago

ER

You are the person who keeps the whole floor running — not the most brilliant in the room, but possibly the most essential.

  • You show up, do the work, absorb the losses, and come back the next day without needing the job to be anything other than what it is.
  • You care about patients as individual human beings, not as cases to solve or dramas to live through.
  • You believe in the system even when it fails you — and you understand that emergency medicine is about holding the line just long enough.
  • ER is television about endurance. You have it.

Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, Seattle

Grey’s Anatomy

You came to medicine with your whole self — your ambition, your emotions, your relationships, your history — and you have never quite managed to leave any of it at the door.

  • You feel things fully and form deep attachments to the people you work with.
  • Your personal and professional lives are permanently, chaotically entangled — and that entanglement drives both your greatest disasters and your most remarkable saves.
  • You understand that extraordinary medicine often happens at the intersection of clinical skill and profound human connection.
  • It’s messy at Grey Sloan. You would not have it any other way.

Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, NJ

House

You are drawn to the problem above everything else — the symptom that doesn’t fit, the diagnosis hiding underneath the obvious one.

  • You’re not primarily motivated by the patient as a person — though you are capable of caring, even if you’d deny it.
  • You work best when the stakes are highest and the standard answer is wrong.
  • Princeton-Plainsboro exists to house one extraordinary, impossible mind — and everyone around that mind is there because they’re smart enough to keep up.
  • The only way forward here is to think harder than everyone else in the room. That is exactly what you do.

Sacred Heart Hospital, California

Scrubs

You understand that medicine is tragic and absurd in almost equal measure — and that the only sane response is to hold both of those things at the same time.

  • You are warm, self-aware, and funnier than most people in your field.
  • You use humour to get through terrible moments — and at Sacred Heart, that’s not a flaw, it’s a survival strategy.
  • You lean on the people around you and let them lean back. The laughter and the grief are genuinely inseparable here.
  • Scrubs is a show about learning to become someone worthy of the job. You are still very much in the middle of that process — which is exactly right.

The HBO Max Show That Has Been Embraced by Both Critics and Audiences

By now, you’ve probably guessed that we’re talking about The Pitt. The beloved medical drama, headlined by Noah Wyle and starring an eclectic ensemble cast, holds a 96% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes. The second season seems to have settled at a near-perfect 98% on the aggregator, where the consensus reads, “Clocking in for a second season of a near-perfect medical procedural, The Pitt goes all in on narrative excellence, brilliant humanity, and heart-wrenching drama to winning effect.” The positive reviews and fan enthusiasm resulted in incredible numbers this season. According to Nielsen’s latest report, The Pitt was the only show in the top 10 to surpass the 1 billion-minute mark. The number two title, The Boys, reported 899 million minutes watched.

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are expecting another bundle of joy.

“Best birthday gift ❤️,” Culpo, 34, wrote via Instagram on Friday, May 8, confirming that she is pregnant. “Baby #2 coming soon 🥹.”

Culpo’s post included a photo of her and McCaffrey, 29, sitting on a picnic blanket out in nature. The couple shared a sweet kiss while the model held their daughter, Colette, 10 months. They were also joined by their dog, Oliver Sprinkles, who sat next to a sonogram.

In additional snaps, Culpo could be seen wearing a long white dress standing in the hilly landscape while cradling her growing baby bump.

Culpo and McCaffrey’s exciting news comes less than one year after they welcomed daughter Colette in July 2025.

“Colette is so lucky to have the best daddy in the world,” Culpo wrote via her Instagram alongside a photo of McCaffrey watching their infant in her hospital isolette. “A love like no other.”

Culpo previously shared that she underwent a C-section to give birth to her first child. She called the procedure “the scariest and most rewarding of all experiences,” adding that she felt “most at peace” with McCaffrey by her side.

Earlier this year, Culpo gushed about how McCaffrey has excelled while navigating fatherhood.

“He will be such a good example and protector to her. I know that she’ll always be able to feel like she has someone who loves her more than anything,” the model exclusively told Us Weekly in January. “I feel like everybody deserves to feel that.”

The following month, McCaffrey gave his wife her flowers as she fully embraced motherhood with grace.

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey’s baby girl is already a dedicated San Francisco 49ers fan. Culpo, 33, took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, October 12, to share a glimpse of the pair’s 3-month-old daughter, Colette, dressed in a new 49ers onesie featuring her NFL star father’s jersey number, 23, traced in gold. The words […]

“Watching Olivia become a mom has been so cool,” he exclusively told Us. “We had [Colette] in July, which was right before training camp so I was kind of in go-mode and went through the whole season. There’s challenges that come with that. So, to now take a breath and be able to be a dad has been really, really fun.”

While McCaffrey can’t always be present due to his busy NFL schedule, the San Francisco 49ers running back and Culpo are on the same page for their little one.

“We have the same values in life, there’s never really any conflict when it comes to that stuff,” he said to Us. “Obviously, I can’t be there for most of the day, and she really does love it. As a girl dad, you definitely get softer. I don’t care what anyone says.”
