Why Kylie Kelce Speaks ‘Positively’ About Herself While Parenting
Kylie Kelce spoke candidly about how hard she strives to be a positive role model for her four daughters.
During an interview with People published on Sunday, February 1, Kylie, 33, opened up about how she speaks in front of Wyatt, 6, Elliote, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 10 months, whom she shares with husband Jason Kelce.
“I really try my best to make sure that I speak positively about myself, even on the days that I don’t necessarily feel it,” she told the outlet. “You can say it as much as you want, but we’re still human, so there are days when I find myself leading by example for our girls, recognizing, like, ‘You know what? I might not feel that way right now, but it is how I should be talking about myself.’”
The “Not Gonna Lie” podcast host added that becoming a mother reinforced “the idea that I do need to make sure that I’m speaking positively about myself,” as her daughters are always listening.
“Making sure that [the] girls are confident not only sets them up to be happier, but they will also have a more joyful feeling in life … and that joy can drown out the other mess,” she told the outlet.
While Kylie, who met Jason, 38, via Tinder when she was studying at college and married the athlete in 2018, spoke openly about motherhood, she recently proved to be more tight-lipped over other topics.
During an appearance on the Today show on Friday, January 30, Kylie was grilled by host Savannah Guthrie about her brother-in-law Travis Kelce’s forthcoming wedding to Taylor Swift.
Asked point-blank whether or not Travis and Swift, both 36, will be tying the knot “this year,” Kylie responded, “I have no idea.”

Guthrie, 54, pushed the topic further, asking Kylie, “Do you really not know?” which caused Kylie to shift her gaze elsewhere and smile. Guthrie then acknowledged that sharing insight into the nuptials might land Kylie “in trouble,” to which Kylie laughed and remarked, “We’re so excited to celebrate, though. We can’t wait.”
Despite her restrained response, Kylie has become well known for telling it like it is. During a December 2025 podcast appearance on “New Heights,” hosted by Jason and Travis, Kylie asked Travis about his relationship dynamic with Swift. “When you said that you don’t fight, you were joking, right?” Kylie asked her brother-in-law. (Travis told George Clooney during an earlier “New Heights” episode that he and the pop star had “never once” argued since becoming a couple in the summer of 2023.)
Kylie continued, “Like, you were being sarcastic? The giggle afterward suggested that you were being sarcastic.” Travis doubled down on his claim, responding with, “Me and Tay, we definitely don’t fight.”
Kylie’s “New Heights” interview also delved into her own relationship with Jason as she revealed that she and the retired footballer “absolutely argue,” before clarifying their connection. “Now, do we argue often? Not really, but we’ve definitely argued. For sure,” she noted.
