Young and Restless Early Spoilers July 13-17: Jack Brutally Ambushed Again & Ashley Plots Revenge
Young and the Restless spoilers for July 13-17, 2026 explode with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) being brutally attacked again, and it’ll be a miracle if he survives this time. Plus, Ashley Abbott is back as Eileen Davidson makes a long-awaited return. And Ashley wants revenge for what has happened to her brother Jack.
Spoilers for the week of July 13th through the 17th, include big stuff for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow) is ready to pack up and leave town. Plus, we’ve got Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) making an intriguing offer and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) facing some big issues with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as she struggles with her recovery.
And as always on Early Edition Day, first we’re going to talk about what’s going on the rest of this week for context, then we’ll get into the spoilers for next week. And don’t forget, we’re almost at the end of July sweeps, which wraps on Monday the 20th.
Young and the Restless: Jack’s Attack and Patty’s Rampage – July 8th Through 10th
On Wednesday, July 8th, Billy updates Jill and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) on Jack’s condition, saying he lost a lot of blood and things are precarious. Jill is shocked that Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) is on the loose. And Billy blames Victor for bringing Patty back to town. And Jill agrees that if Victor did do this and brought Patty back, then he should definitely pay for what has happened to Jack. However, Jill wants Billy to focus on Sally and the baby.
And Billy also says that Patty’s shrink Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) is a big reason why Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) was charged in Jack’s stabbing. Jill asks about Sally’s company and Billy says she’s running it. He’s not involved. He’s happy with that. And Jill then asks about Cane’s job offer at Chancellor because Sally told her about it. Jill doubts that Billy can tolerate answering to Cane at work.
And Billy says Jill is obsessed with Chancellor and he doesn’t think that his mom’s really concerned about him. Jill says that breaks her heart and she’s upset that he didn’t tell her about the baby or engagement with Sally. Billy takes off to take food up to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Diane at the hospital.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jill’s Desperate to Fix Things with Billy
Jill doesn’t want to leave Genoa City while things between them are still unsettled. She also wants to make sure that Jack is okay before she goes. After Billy leaves, Sally tries to smooth things over with Jill. Michael Baldwin (Christian Leblanc) is stunned that Christine Williams Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) is not focused on Patty’s horrible violent history and fixation on Jack. Michael says it’s clear that Patty attacked him, but DA Christine insists that Patty is fine and was properly released from the psych hospital.
And Christine says the evidence points to Diane. And Michael insists that Patty’s story is full of holes and is implausible. Christine thinks that Markham is accurate that Diane had a breakdown. And Christine says Michael needs evidence to clear Diane, but he reminds her innocent till proven guilty and it’s her job as DA to find evidence to prove guilt. And Christine is confident that she has it. Michael also says Markham seems sketchy and that shocks Christine. Michael says the shrink held Diane hostage and is as awful as Patty.
And then Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) shows up and Christine takes off. So, Lauren is on her way to meet with Jill and then Michael says things are looking really bad for Diane. And Lauren just can’t believe that Christine is falling for Patty’s nonsense. They worry that Jack won’t wake up in time to save Diane or even worse that Jack won’t wake up at all. Lauren is sure that Michael will find a way to save Diane.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Diane Worries to Kyle
And speaking of her, she is venting to Kyle about Patty being free and she’s worried that Patty will come finish off Jack. So, Diane tells him that Patty set it all up, so the evidence implicates her. And Christine fell for the con job. And Diane says Dr. Markham lied to help set her up. Kyle says he hasn’t even been questioned and he’s her alibi. But Diane thinks that they won’t take Kyle’s word since he’s her son. But she’s really hoping that Jack will wake up and confirm it was Patty who stabbed him.
While Jack is taken for scans, Diane and Kyle decide to go home and pack a bag for Jack. So, Kyle has hired a guard to keep watch outside Jack’s room at the hospital, but the guy isn’t doing a great job because Patty slips into Jack’s room disguised as a nurse. So, Diane and Kyle get that bag packed and they’re ready to rush back.
They are worried about Jack being alone in his room with Patty roaming free. And in Jack’s room, Patty’s talking crazy to her unconscious ex-husband, and she tells Jack that she hates what she has to do. But Patty can’t have Jack waking up and telling the truth about her attacking him. So Patty has a syringe, obviously full of something terrible, and she is ready to inject Jack.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lily & Cane Get Closer
Then on Thursday, July 9th, Cane lets Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) see a new side of him. Things are sparking more between them in every single scene they’re in. Cane and Lily meet with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and ask about his plans. And he tells Lily he’s got no idea. So, it looks like Cane is ready to offer Holden a job at Chancellor. And I think Lily is going to absolutely love that.
Meanwhile, Jill is determined to mend her relationship with Billy before she leaves Genoa City. And this may be Lauren Koslow’s last episode as recast Jill, but I really doubt that Billy and Jill are going to fix things before she jets out of town. Kyle decides he has to do something to protect both Jack and Diane on Young and the Restless.
And it looks like Patty is thwarted and Jack isn’t dead despite her trying to attack again. So, I wonder if Kyle goes to see Christine and tells her he found Diane locked inside Markham’s house against her will and helped Diane escape. Because honestly, Christine’s acting like an idiot right now.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Struggles Big Time
Friday, July 10th, Nikki is at home settling in, recovering. But things between her and Victor are far from fixed. And once Nikki finds out about the attack on Jack, obviously she will blame Victor, which is accurate since he brought Patty back to town. Also, Nikki is struggling with the fact that her eyesight still isn’t returning.
Victor announces something that leaves everybody stunned, and I wonder if this is about personal or professional matters. Maybe he is retiring. On Friday, Eileen Davidson makes her return as Ashley. She’s back to Genoa City and Jack is still alive. But if somebody’s not watching carefully, Patty might try and creep back in and try a third time to finish him off. And that’s on top of the couple of other times in history that she has tried to murder Jack.

Young and the Restless: Recovery and Relationship Tests – July 13th Through 17th
Then the week of July 13th through the 17th, we’ll see Jack moving on the road to recovery. But until Patty is locked up, he is at risk. And so is his marriage to Diane. Hopefully Jack won’t stay unconscious too long and will wake up and let Christine and the cops know that Patty did indeed stab him and they are dumb for thinking otherwise.
I suspect that Holden accepts Cane’s job offer at Chancellor and I think Billy will also. And I also think that Jill is right and Billy is really going to struggle to answer to Cane as his boss. Everybody will be reeling from Victor’s announcement. We will see reactions from all the Newmans.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is struggling and he was really hoping that his parents would reconcile even though Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) warned him that she didn’t think it was likely. And I think if Nikki blames Victor for the attack on Jack, which again is accurate, all this stress might get to Nick and he may backslide and use again.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Ashley Reconnects with Her Family
Ashley’s happy to see her family. Even though it’s not under good circumstances, but she won’t be sticking around for very long. She’s going to head back to Paris once Jack is out of the woods.
Cane and Lily take things to the next level soon, and we’ll be getting intimate before too long. And of course, Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) is going to rage about that. And even Billy is aggravated that Lily has forgiven Cane and is cuddling up to him again.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) continues to pursue Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and aggravate Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), who may lose it on her. Even worse, Noah’s not setting very clear boundaries between him and Audra. Also, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) get closer. Ew. And Nick’s going to catch them in a compromising position, which is double gross.
That’s your Young and the Restless spoilers for July 8-17.

The Stargate SG-1 Hockey Team Every Fan Wishes They Could Have Seen In Action
By Jonathan Klotz
| Published

Vancouver has been the Hollywood of Canada for decades. Supernatural, Smallville, The 100, Continuum, Travellers, the list of shows that film around the city are too many to mention, but it also includes the legendary Stargate SG-1. For a decade, the series filmed out of Vancouver, which is why every alien planet on the other side of the Stargate looks like, well, Vancouver. Since they filmed in Canada, most of the cast and crew were also major hockey fans, to the point where they started their own team and would take on other productions in friendly games.
Stargate SG-1 Took On All Comers
Canadian Michael Shanks was the ringleader for the Stargate team. At one time, Shanks thought about going pro. Instead he spent a decade playing Dr. Daniel Jackson by day, and slamming Smallville’s Lex Luthor, Michael Rosenbaum, into the boards by night. Through different interviews and DVD featurettes, Shanks and crew has said they’d play not only Smallville, but also Millenium, The Twilight Zone, and even The Chris Isaak Show. If you forgot that the man who sang “Wicked Game” starred in a sitcom on Showtime for three seasons…so did everyone else. Amazingly, it was pretty good for the time too.
Richard Dean Anderson was also part of Team Stargate. He’s American, but from Minnesota, which means like Shanks he was required by law to be a fan of hockey growing up. In the episode “Fire and Water” when Jack O’Neill is taking a hockey stick to General Hammond’s windshield, you can even see where the stick says “Anderson” towards the top. Fans today would love to have been there in the stands to see Shanks, Anderson, and Dan Shea, who played Sgt. Sylvester Siler for all 10 seasons and parts of Atlantis. Take on the other productions.
Having Fun With the Cast’s Hobbies

Even though it’s been 33 years since a Canadian team has won the Stanley Cup (oddly, the same year that Gary Bettman became NHL Commissioner), it’s the national sport of Canada. It’s odd when a Canadian production doesn’t have a hockey team.
In “The Other Guys” O’Neill brings up hockey to Teal’c, saying they went to a game last year, and Teal’c says he thinks the Vancouver Canucks are going to win the Stanley Cup. Instead of hockey, Christopher Judge would join Richard Dean Anderson on the golf course on a regular basis, which is why when Teal’c and O’Neill are stuck in a time loop in “Window of Opportunity” they hit golf balls through the Stargate. That’s their own clubs and balls being used dangerously close to a $100,000 prop.
Stargate SG-1 never worked very hard to cover the obviously Canadian influences behind the production, even making a metajoke about it in “Wormhole X-Treme.” It was one of the most successful, and longest-running, sci-fi productions to come out of Vancouver which is still heavily used to this day. There’s no word on if the Toronto-based Killjoys and The Expanse had their own hockey teams, but it’s still Canada, so odds are they were hitting the ice in between runs to Tim Hortons listening to Bryan Adams and watching Trailer Park Boys.

Karmelo Anthony’s Lawyers Request New Trial And New Judge
Karmelo Anthony‘s lawyers filed a motion requesting a new trial. Furthermore, the attorneys are asking for the removal of Judge John Roach, who presided over the last trial. According to NBC 5 News, Anthony’s new legal team wants Roach removed over “problematic comments” he made during an interview following the proceedings.

Karmelo Anthony’s Lawyers Request New Trial
As reported by The Shade Room, 19-year-old Karmelo Anthony was convicted by an all-white jury for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf. Karmelo was then sentenced to 35 years in prison on June 9. His new legal team is requesting a new trial, and they filed a motion arguing that Karmelo’s constitutional rights were violated during the proceedings. The 63-page document states that the teens’ constitutional rights were violated by the exclusion of the public from parts of the trial. The filing also states that the jury received improper instructions and claimed the prosecutors reneged on an agreement regarding Karmelo deciding not to testify on his own behalf.
During a track meet in Frisco, Texas, on April 2, 2025, a then-17-year-old Karmelo reportedly sought refuge from the rain under the competition’s tent. Austin reportedly told him to leave several times, and the two argued. Austin, who was 6 feet tall and weighed approximately 200 pounds, reportedly shoved Karmelo, who is 5″11′ and approximately 162 pounds. According to Newsweek, Karmelo warned Austin not to touch him multiple times before stabbing him with a utility tool. The teenager pleaded self-defense. His lengthy sentence by an all-white jury raised questions about race, and his legal team wants a new trial.
What Did The Judge Say Post-Trial?
Judge Roach gave an interview after the trial, and his comments resulted in Anthony’s legal team filing for his removal. During an interview with WFAA News, Roach was asked if the jury reached the correct verdict. The jury deliberated for less than two hours.
“Yes they did,” replied Roach. “Because they were picked based upon the law, they listened to the facts, it happened in this courtroom, and they got a verdict.”
When asked about his decision not to allow cameras in the courtroom, the judge defended his choice.
“Yes, it was an easy decision,” he said. “I’ll tell you why, my primary goal in every case is to make sure the defendant and the prosecution get a fair trial. Period. I know I made people mad but I’m not here to make them happy either.”
Texas NAACP President Is Representing Karmelo
According to the New York Post, Karmelo’s new legal team includes the president of the Texas NAACP, Gary Bledsoe. The team also includes civil rights lawyer Brooke Cluse and appellate attorney Russell Wilson. They are representing their client pro bono. Cluse is an attorney with the prestigious law firm Ben Crump Law. The trio of attorneys teamed up in June following Karmelo’s sentencing. Their goal is to overturn both his conviction and prison sentence.

Friend Mom Speaks, Crump Talks “Argument”
Chancery Judge Ashlee Cole, the mom of Warren Hudson, a teen who was on Horn Island with Nolan Xavier Wells, has spoken out as attorney Benjamin Crump alleges that the 18-year-old was involved in an “argument” before his death.

Mom Of Teen Who Was On Horn Island With Nolan Xavier Wells Speaks Out
On the evening of Tuesday, Judge Ashley Cole took to Facebook to share a lengthy message with the public. Initially, Cole explained that her family is grieving the loss of Wells. However, she wanted to “dispel some rumors” which are “divert[ing]” attention “away from the Wells family and their loss.”
Cole acknowledged that she deactivated her social media due to the “heightened emotional state” online. Additionally, she stated that she fears “for the safety” of her and her husband’s six children. Specifically, Cole referenced photos of her children allegedly being circulated on social media.
From there, Cole noted that she attended high school with Wells’ mom, Christine Wonsley.
“We are from the same community. I have the utmost respect for her and all of the Wells family. We mourn the loss of Nolan with them. Our prayers have been and will continue to be with them,” she wrote.
Cole noted that she and her husband were not on Horn Island on July 4. Additionally, she explained that her family does not want to interfere with the ongoing investigation.
“Warren was interviewed by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and cooperated fully. He saw Nolan last at around 3 pm on July 4th. They left around 4:30 pm when the boat was taking on water and they had an issue with the bilge pump. Nolan made a decision to stay on the island and return inland later with another group of friends,” she wrote.
As she concluded her message, Cole acknowledged her position as a judge. And the importance of transparency.”
“I apologize if anyone was offended that I deleted my social media. There were no nefarious motivations in my deleting my social media. Social media has a lot of positives, but a whole lot of negatives. We live in a world of click-baiting. Sad, but true. My family is hopeful that this information will help to redirect the attention to the Wells family, their grief, and their need for our community’s support,” she concluded.
Attorney Ben Crump Alleges 18-Year-Old Was Involved In “Argument”
According to Atlanta Black Star, Benjamin Crump, the attorney for Nolan Xavier Wells’ family, sat down with Don Lemon. This, to speak about the case. During the interview, Crump noted that Wells was gearing up for an important tryout, set to take place on Monday, July 6. Additionally, he believes the teen was involved in an “argument” with his friends because he did not want certain “substances” to show up on his body.
Furthermore, Crump noted that the family is conducting their own independent autopsy. And he believes the results will be made available on Friday, July 10.
“They’re saying it was an unfortunate accident. They’re not telling the family anything about whether it was foul play or not. So that’s why the family is so desperate for answers,” Crump explained to Lemon.
In addition, Crump noted that the family believes messages “were deleted” from Wells’ cellphone.
“So they want to try to dot every i and cross every t and investigate everything. They said it’s very improbable that Nolan wouldn’t have wanted his cell phone with him if he was going to stay on the island,” Crump recalled.
Ultimately, Crump noted there being many “inconsistencies” surrounding “what really happened” to the 18-year-old, who his family believes was an “extraordinary athlete” and strong swimmer.
More On The Discovery Of The Body Of Nolan Xavier Wells On Horn Island & Attorney Ben Crump Joining The Case
As The Shade Room previously reported, Nolan Xavier Wells was reported missing by his mother after he did not return home on the evening of July 4. Wells has reportedly traveled with friends to Horn Island. Then, on Monday, July 6, his body was found on the north side of the land mass.
“… His father Elmore Wonsley, our family, friends and I are absolutely devastated. My heart is broken for our sweet son who was always willing to cheer and uplift others. Nolan was a special soul, God took his time creating our son. I ask that you all please give me and my family privacy as we grieve. Thank you all again,” Wonsley wrote on Facebook after the discovery.
Subsequently, the death and discovery of the 18-year-old sparked a widespread conversation about the safety of Black individuals in predominantly white crowds. Amid this, friends of his publicly reacted to his passing. This, as an autopsy was performed on his body on July 7.
At this time, the results of the autopsy remain pending. However, internet users have surfaced questionable footage reportedly taken on the island on July 4.
This, as the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office asks the public to come forward and share “original, unedited photos and videos” from the outing. This, to aid in their investigation into Wells’ death.

Jack Antonoff Spotted With Ring Amid Margaret Qualley Split
Jack Antonoff has been spotted wearing his wedding ring amid rumors that he and wife Margaret Qualley have split.
Antonoff, 42, was seen on Wednesday, July 8, near his Brooklyn home while walking a dog with sister Rachel, per a photo obtained by TMZ.
In the image, Antonoff sported a New York Knicks championship T-shirt and held his phone in his hand. His gold wedding band was on full display.
Antonoff and Qualley, 31, sparked split rumors when he went to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Friday, July 3, wedding at New York City’s Madison Square Garden with his sister.
Days later, TMZ reported that Qualley had quietly deleted wedding photos with Antonoff. It is unclear when she erased the images from her social media account.
People on Wednesday confirmed that Antonoff and Qualley had split after three years of marriage. A source shared with the outlet that the pair’s relationship is “rocky” as another insider explained that they are “figuring things out.”
Neither Antonoff nor Qualley have publicly commented on the speculation surrounding their relationship. Us Weekly reached out to Qualley and Antonoff’s reps for comment.
The pair were first romantically linked in 2021, sharing their engagement the following year. Antonoff and Qualley tied the knot in 2023 in New Jersey.
“Someone told me that when you die and when you get married is the only time everyone you love is in a room,” Antonoff quipped on Late Night With Seth Meyers in December 2023, sharing that his wedding was “really beautiful.”
He continued, “And I was like, ‘Oh, that is just a thing someone says, and I perform for a living so I don’t mind if the attention is on me.’ And then as soon as it started, my whole body became wet.”
Years later, Vanity Fair claimed in a February 2026 cover story that Qualley appeared “reluctant” to discuss Antonoff.
“I’ve always been very love-oriented,” she told the outlet at the time. “I’ve always been looking for my person, and I met Jack.”
At the time, Qualley also remained tight-lipped about whether she and Antonoff had plans to expand their family. “Yeah, for sure,” she said. “If I did [have names picked out], I wouldn’t talk about it.”
Antonoff and Qualley were last publicly seen together at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where he won three of his eight nominations. The duo were seen cuddling up backstage before watching the performances and awards presentations. “Fan girl,” Qualley later wrote via Instagram.

6 Months Before ‘Doomsday,’ Marvel’s $1.5 Billion Classic Surges on Streaming
Only six months remain until Avengers: Doomsday enters theaters, bringing Marvel’s superhero team together to face their next big bad, Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. In preparation for revisiting the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on the big screen once more, fans have turned to where it all began, perhaps as a refresher before they see the now-massive ensemble change once again.
Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will be the next two MCU films in which Marvel’s superheroes will team up for the first time since Avengers: Endgame. While some characters have crossed paths in other films and TV shows, this upcoming MCU feature will have a massive cast list, featuring characters from the Infinity Saga and Phases 4, 5, and 6 of the MCU timeline, as well as pre-MCU appearances, with the X-Men making their return. So, it’s no surprise that fans have tuned in once more to the movie where it all began, where years of solo films have led into one giant feature.
The Avengers was a 2012 film and the sixth entry in the MCU, and it recently became a streaming hit in the U.S. The movie ranked #4 on Hulu’s Top 10 Movies in the United States, between Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die and Ready or Not, and #7 on Hulu’s Top 10 Overall Charts in the U.S., between Disney Celebrates America and Ready or Not. Before Downey Jr. played the villain, he was a hero in this feature, cast as Iron Man, where he and the other Avengers — Chris Evans‘ Captain America, Mark Ruffalo‘s Incredible Hulk, Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor, Scarlett Johansson‘s Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner‘s Hawkeye assembled for the first time as they fought against Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his army in New York. The Avengers has been highly praised since its release, earning 91% critic and audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes and generating over $1.5 billion at the box office.
Which Avengers Are Appearing in ‘Doomsday’?
Avengers: Doomsday announced its cast list in March 2025, revealing many names attached to the project. Some of these names are those who starred in the 2012 feature. Downey Jr. will be making his return, but as Doctor Doom, not Iron Man. Meanwhile, Evans will be reprising his role as Captain America, despite passing his shield down to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Additionally, Hemsworth and Hiddleston will be returning to the MCU in the upcoming feature; however, it’s still unknown how the two will reunite following Loki’s death in Avengers: Infinity War and the events of Loki Season 2, where he now resides alone at the End of Time. Unfortunately, both Johansson and Ruffalo have confirmed they will not be reprising their roles, and it’s currently uncertain whether Renner will return. The same goes for Samuel L. Jackson‘s Nick Fury, who was last seen in The Marvels.
The Avengers is available to stream on Hulu. Follow Collider for more updates.

How Riker Accidentally Inspired One Of Star Trek’s Most Hated Episodes
By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

There are few characters in Star Trek quite as beloved as William T. Riker. On The Next Generation, he was basically Kirk 2.0: a brilliant, cocky Starfleet officer who was as friendly as he was flirty. It helps that he was played by Jonathan Frakes, one of the most charismatic actors in the entire franchise. Frakes eventually got behind the director’s chair, giving us the two best TNG movies and episodes from six different shows in the franchise. He’s practically the de facto brand ambassador for Star Trek, securing Riker’s popularity with fans all around the world.
However, would you believe there is one Star Trek spinoff that started by using Riker as a negative example? When Enterprise came out, it was designed as a prequel that took place about a century before Captain Kirk was exploring strange new worlds in The Original Series. Therefore, the crew of this show was far less seasoned, and they didn’t always handle problems with grace and dignity. Case in point: in “Unexpected,” Trip freaks out when visiting an alien vessel for the first time. It’s meant to show that he’s very little like Riker, but the episode ultimately validates his fears. After all, this is the episode where an alien babe gets him pregnant!
Subspace-ive And Breedable

“Unexpected” begins with a similar initial plot to many episodes of Star Trek: the Enterprise crew encounters aliens who need a little help. Specifically, they need help with their engines, and Captain Archer graciously volunteers the services of his chief engineer, Trip Tucker. Trip visits the alien vessel and, Kirk-style, ends up hitting it off with an alien babe. They don’t have physical sex, but due to a quirk of her biology, one of their interactions gets him pregnant. Fortunately, the Enterprise crew is able to successfully remove the implant, keeping the engineer from becoming the ship’s newest dilithium daddy.
It may sound like faint praise, but Executive Producer Brannon Braga (who was one of the key writers of Star Trek: The Next Generation) commended the writers for making Trip the opposite of William Riker in this episode. Regarding the plot point where Trip is excited to visit the alien vessel and then wants to leave because it’s so weird, he told Star Trek Communicator, “That’s the kind of stuff you would never see a Riker do, because they’re just too seasoned.”
At Least He Parties Like Riker

The comparison is apt, as there’s arguably nobody in Star Trek history who vibes with alien cultures like Riker. He certainly took enough of them to bed, including one woman who used him to deliver a mind-controlling game to the Enterprise. On another occasion, he fell in love with an andyngious gal, even though their romance was basically a crime. And let’s not forget the time he had to violate the Prime Directive by banging a hippie just to escape an undercover mission that went sideways.
Riker’s comfortable with aliens because, as a seasoned Starfleet officer, he doesn’t see them as any different than himself. Trip, however, is on his first deep space mission, encountering various aliens for the first time in his life. Instead of presenting him as instantly cool with everything, Enterprise chose the more realistic option of showing how alien culture freaked him out. To his credit, though, Trip rallies and works on his alien relations so much that he ends up pregnant. Fortunately, the actor was able to carry the heavy narrative weight of this episode. As Braga put it, “Connor [Trinneer] just brought more to Trip than we could’ve imagined.”
Can You Get Pregnant From Decon?

That was, of course, intentional on Trinneer’s part: realizing that this was the first Trip-focused episode, the actor decided to give it his all. He showed the producers how well he could perform the scripted material and how well he could improvise. Best of all, he showed them he was equally adept at both comedy and drama, and the actor credits this episode for helping everyone learn who his character really was. He put in the work, and it paid off, but maybe we shouldn’t be so surprised. After all, who’s going to put more “labor” into their performance than the actor playing the first pregnant man in Star Trek history?

General Hospital Early Spoilers July 13-17: Valentin’s Explosive Showdown & Curtis Self-Destructs
General Hospital spoilers for July 13-17, 2026 shock with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) not backing down on what he wants, which is Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and also his daughter Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke). And we’re going to see Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) continuing to blow up his own life with more bad choices made in blind anger.
And as a heads up, we’ve got some more returns to Port Charles coming, plus a warning and a revelation. Also, this week ahead is the last full week of July sweeps, which ends on Monday the 20th.
And as always, on early edition day, we’re going to start with what is coming the rest of this week and then we’re going to get into all the good stuff coming next week.
General Hospital Spoilers: Lucas Drowns His Sorrows
So, on Wednesday, July 8th, we have got Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) waking up and he looks way worse for wear and he asks, “What am I doing here?” So, he’s on Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) couch and he’s looking pretty bad. I’m going to guess alcohol was involved. And once he wakes up and gets coffee for his presumed hangover, Lucas is venting to Liz. We saw Lucas telling Ava Jerome (Maura West) that Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) died for nothing because of course it wasn’t really medicine, it was saline. And I think he’s gonna tell Liz the same thing.
Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) has a run-in with her daughter Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), who still wants distance from both her parents. Plus, Curtis’s trial is looming. And Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) is going to get a new client. So, it looks like he’s going to be representing Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), who is telling Ric that he wants to explore the possibility of a civil suit. And Isaiah might have Ric on tap in case Curtis tries again to accuse him of being the second driver.
General Hospital Spoilers: Molly Faces a Tough Decision
Ric is no fan of Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), so he may be fine with her being accused, and that’s going to get his client off the hook. Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) reaches a difficult professional decision. ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) tells Molly she can go promote her romance novel or prosecute the biggest case of her legal career.
So, I’m assuming that Justine is offering Molly to bring the case in court against Curtis if he doesn’t take the plea deal just because as Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) best friend, she can’t be involved. Then again, Justine may want Molly to try and prosecute Willow, which would be insane.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) warns Carly, but she is going to tell Sonny she’s not changing her mind on this. And I suspect this is about two issues. One, Carly’s plan to get revenge on Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) for recruiting Josslyn. And the other is that Carly is not giving up Valentin and now they’re finally free to be together. Sonny doesn’t like it.
General Hospital Spoilers: Curtis Makes a Risky Choice
Jordan asked Curtis what kind of deal that he’s been offered. The summer spoilers say that he’s offered a plea bargain that will have Curtis spend a short amount of time in Pentonville, but I don’t think he’s going to take it. I think he’s going to go to trial and still planning to try and throw his victim Isaiah under the bus, which is risky.
Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) tells her brother Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight), who is back, that there is something he can help with. And I expect Laura to ask Martin to defend Curtis in his criminal case, which means he’ll likely rep him in the civil case that Ric’s going to file. Laura likes Curtis and Alexis already had to turn Curtis down because of conflict of interest.
We’re also getting ready for Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Emma Scorpio Drake (Brayden Bruner) and Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to all welcome Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) home. Then we’re going to see Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) dropping by to ask for Anna’s help. And that’s got to be a Faison-related issue. And I wonder if it is about Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey).
General Hospital: Deceptions and Legal Battles – July 8th Through 10th
Thursday, July 9th, we’ve got Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) getting called out. As I suspected, when Willow confronted Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and accused her of framing her, Tracy realized, “Oh crap, Brook Lynn is behind this.” Tracy might tell her granddaughter, “Good job.
You’re acting like a real Quartermaine.” And we’ve got Jordan making a confession. And this may be her telling Curtis she feels really guilty for what’s happening to him. But it’s Curtis’s fault that he’s a jealous hothead with no control over his temper or his fist. I’m expecting him to keep trying to find a way to blame Isaiah on General Hospital.
Curtis is going to spend some time on Thursday considering his legal strategy. So, he’s likely going to be meeting with Martin to talk it over, and he may recommend that Curtis reconsider that plea bargain, but of course, he won’t. And I’m sure that he’s going to rant to Martin about Isaiah, even though there is zero proof against him.
General Hospital Spoilers: Willow in Trouble
We also have Willow suffering a setback on Thursday. She’s sure that she’s being framed. Plus, it’s supposed to come out that she was conspiring with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) should start wiggling his fingers and toes any day now. And we’ve got Elizabeth with some suspicions.
She has been rapidly curious about the odds against Jack and Drew, both having strokes in the same house since they were relatively young, relatively healthy. But of course, Jack’s back on his feet now. So, he may sidestep Liz’s concerns or outright lie and cover for Willow. But if Liz looks at his medical info, that might tell another story.
General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny & Justine Heat Up
Friday, July 10th, we’ve got Sonny and Justine getting romantic after all the life and death drama. And Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn reach a new understanding, but then something leaves Chase horrified. Brook Lynn’s plot should not be outed yet because Willow is supposed to still be under the microscope as Curtis’s trial begins.
There’s a reunion between old lovers by the end of the week. I suspect this refers to Valentin and Anna because we know Valentin’s back already and Anna’s about to be. And Valentin is pardoned. And of course, he was worried about Anna, even though he is head over heels for Carly. I’m interested to see how Ghost Peter reacts to seeing Valentin when he stops by to see Anna.
Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) wants answers. I suspect she may grill Carly about hiding Valentin, lying to her, and going behind her back to facilitate visits with Charlotte and Valentin. Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean Parsons) faces some questions from Ava, maybe about his confession that Phoebe is not his baby.
Summer spoilers say that Ava tests Ethan’s truthfulness. I wouldn’t put it past Ava to grab a DNA sample from him and also from Phoebe and send it off to a private lab just in case. Also, we’re going to have Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) hearing big news and she might find out that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is on his way home with a full pardon.

General Hospital: Jason’s Return and New Beginnings – July 13th Through 17th
Then the week of July 13th through the 17th, we have Steve Burton’s first air date. Jason’s back on Monday and he’s a whole new man who’s taken this time away to think about changes he wants to make to his life and these changes will impact Sonny and Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) and the Quartermaines and others. Also on Monday, July 13th, Dean Geyer debuts as Dr. Tristan Roberts. This is also the milestone 16,000th episode of General Hospital.
Gio is trying to make things right with Rocco next week. But Danny’s going to get some hate from Rocco for ratting him out to Brennan. It’s the ultimate betrayal and Charlotte deciding to let what Danny did slide is going to cause problems between her and Rocco. We also have Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) being supportive of James West (Gary JamesFuller). He wants to stick close to Port Charles for his nephew.
General Hospital Spoilers: Tracy Battles Lucy
And it looks like Molly may be waffling on the book tour because of Justine’s offer to oversee the trial. And of course, Cody’s dilemma over James may seal the deal and Molly decides just to cancel it. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) versus Tracy starts soon. And we’re going to see her ticked off when Brook Lynn tells her that Lucy demanded shares of Deception in exchange for her lying to the PCPD about Willow.
Anna’s going to have a really hard time with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) being in her head and making her doubt everybody close to her. And Jack wants to pay his debt to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for saving him. So, he is searching desperately for his black box with the evidence against Drew. Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) had stolen it, but hopefully it’ll turn up in the WSB’s evidence from Spoon Island. And look for Ethan and Ava to heat up soon.
That’s your General Hospital spoilers for July 8-17.

The Picks That Stand Out
Shoppers hunting for affordable protein options at Dollar Tree may be surprised by just how many choices are available beyond the usual snack aisle staples. From protein drinks and meat-based snacks to nuts, popcorn, and convenient grab-and-go options, budget-friendly finds can vary widely in how much protein they actually provide.
To help separate the strongest options from the snacks that only appear high in protein, here’s how six popular Dollar Tree protein picks stack up from the most to the least grams of protein per serving. This breakdown also looks at what each snack offers nutritionally, including calories, convenience, and whether it truly delivers the protein boost budget-conscious shoppers are looking for.
What Are the Highest-Protein Snacks at Dollar Tree? Ranked From Most to Least Protein
The highest-protein pick at Dollar Tree is Nestle Boost Protein Nutritional Drink, which delivers 20 grams of protein per bottle. Here is the full ranking from most to least protein per serving.
- Nestle Boost Protein Nutritional Drink, 20 grams per bottle
- Brunswick Chicken Salad with Crackers, eight grams per pack
- Jack Links Meat Strips, six grams per strip
- Kellogg’s Special K Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bars, protein amount unlisted
- Imperial Nuts Protein Blend, protein amount unlisted
- Boom Chicka Pop White Cheddar Popcorn, three grams of fiber per serving
Nestle Boost tops the list because a single 250-calorie bottle also packs 27 vitamins and minerals, which makes it closer to a meal replacement than a snack. Shoppers who want whole-food protein rather than a shake will want to skip down to the chicken salad and jerky options for a more traditional snacking experience.
How Much Protein Is in Nestlé BOOST at Dollar Tree?
Nestle Boost Protein Nutritional Drink at Dollar Tree delivers 20 grams of protein and 250 calories in each bottle, plus 27 vitamins and minerals.
That protein count puts Boost well ahead of any other snack on Dollar Tree shelves. The trade-off is that it functions more like a shelf-stable mini meal than a bite-sized snack, so 250 calories per bottle is worth factoring into your day. For anyone recovering from surgery, dealing with a small appetite or looking for a quick liquid protein source at a low price point, it is one of the strongest values in the store. Pair it with a piece of fruit or a whole-grain cracker for a more rounded mini-meal.
Which Dollar Tree Meat Snacks Pack the Most Protein?
Brunswick Chicken Salad with Crackers packs eight grams of protein per snack kit, while Jack Links Meat Strips deliver 6 grams per strip. Both give shoppers a savory whole-food protein option at a low price point.
According to Dollar Tree, the Brunswick kit includes ready-to-eat chicken salad, buttery crackers and a spoon, and shoppers can top the salad with crushed crackers and seasoning for a heartier snack. Jack Links Meat Strips run about 60 calories, one gram of fat, five grams of added sugar, and 360 milligrams of sodium per strip, so watch the sodium if you plan to eat more than one. Both options work well for lunches, road trips, or afternoons when a candy-bar-sized protein bar is not going to hold you until dinner.
Yes, Kellogg’s Special K Protein Bars, Imperial Nuts Protein Blend and Boom Chicka Pop White Cheddar Popcorn all work as light snacks if you’re on the go or running errands.
According to Dollar Tree, the Special K bars combine creamy peanut butter and chocolate and are pitched for a quick breakfast, post-workout snack or midday pick-me-up. Alexandra Foster with The Kitchn recommends the Imperial Nuts Protein Blend as an easy travel snack that sneaks in extra protein without taking up much room in a carry-on. Plus, it has 5 grams of protein per serving.
Lauren Manaker with Eating Well notes that Boom Chicka Pop White Cheddar Popcorn is gluten-free, made with real cheddar and packs three grams of fiber per serving with no trans fat. The popcorn is the weakest protein play of the group, but a solid crunchy option when you want something lighter.

Big Brother 28: First HOH Winner & Nominations & Three New Houseguests Revealed
Big Brother Season 28 kicks off Thursday, and we supposedly got the full cast announcement from Julie Chen Moonves on the weirdly named YouTube Broveal, but doing the math, it was easy to see that that was not the end of it.
Clearly, 14 house guests is way too few. Starting with Big Brother 14 back in 2012, there’s always been 16 or 17 house guests to start with. So, obviously doing the math there are at least two confirmed additions, but now we know there are three on top of the newbies.
Plus, it looks like they’re taking this time trip thing seriously because reportedly there’s already an HOH and nominees. Let’s catch up on what is happening in the BB28 house because game play is underway.
Big Brother 28: Who is Playing in Summer 2026?
First, let’s talk about who all is playing. We got 13 younger players and one older player from the Broveal. 57-year-old outlier LaTrice “Lala” Verrett is pushing 60. And she looks good. I want to know her skincare regimen.
On the other end of the scale is Drew Campbell, the 22-year-old dental surgical assistant guy. I love that he talked about being good with people and chatting while the oral surgeon is working on them. You ever try talking at the dentist office with a dam in your mouth?
Then there’s the guy giving Weird Al Yankovic vibes. That’s Barrett Pfeiffer, the jumbotron engineer, AKA an AV nerd on steroids. Then there’s Rocket scientist Mallory Aurichio in her big glasses and red t-shirt looking like someone from The Big Bang Theory.
But on her Insta, she’s a partying sorority chick. She’s more likely to be showing her booty in a thong than dressed like they had her in that broveal. It’s production nonsense.
BB 28: More New Players on the Roster
We also have corporate game show host Melody Morris. She’s actually a graduate from journalism school. But she works at one of those places where you can go play a simulated game show. There’s one on the boardwalk near me. They’re cute. She works for the brand Game Show Battle.
We also have Lyric Medeiros, the lawyer, who’s going to lie and say she’s a singer for tourists. Then we have Kamu Kirk, the MMA dude and Jason de Puy, the drag queen. By the way, the Broveal thing that CBS did seems to be a hat tip to RuPaul’s Drag Race that also announces their cast on YouTube on a live stream reveal called the “Ruveal”.
Chuk Anyanwu, the cute cowboy from Dallas is interesting. He went to Texas Women’s University which despite the name is co-ed. I have much higher hopes for Chuk than Big Brother 27‘s creeper cowboy Riley. We’ve also got Ashley Trail the bartender.
There’s Haley Thogmartin the telemedicine chick and Rome Seymour, pickle ball coach. I enjoy pickle ball, but would never hire a coach. I can figure out how to hit a whiffle ball on my own thanks.
Taylor Brown is a school counselor from Deerfield Beach. It’s a nice area by Boca Raton. I like her vibe. And Yash Patel from Jersey is hoping to go home with a wife. It felt like almost everybody they cast is looking for a showmance.
Big Brother 28: A Few Familiar Faces from CBS Shows
Okay, so those are the newbies. Then we’re getting one Big Brother alum and two Survivor alums. On the plus side, the Big Brother returning player is not Paul Abrahamian. Instead, it’s the charcuterie queen herself, Angela Murray. Hope they waterproofed the Diary Room in preparation for her deluge of tears.
And from Survivor, we got two coming fresh off Survivor 50. One is Rick Devens. He’s fun. If you don’t watch Survivor, he pulled a baller move in the recent season hiding a fake community idol near the fire pit at the tribal council set.
And then a couple of tribal councils later, Devens was about to be voted out, and faked like he found it from a clue. He also risked his game on the Mr. Beast twist. He flipped a coin that risked his ejection but instead, he doubled the Survivor 50 winners pot to 2 million bucks.
The other Survivor alum we’ve heard is playing is Dee Valladares. She won Survivor 45 and played Survivor 50, but was ousted without a win. Dee has also played on The Challenge. She’s a good physical competitor.
Dee’s 29, Rick is 42, and Angela is 53. So, that brings us to three middle-aged players, a couple in their 30s, and the bulk of the house guests in their 20s, all looking to get lucky in the house. So, this could be the showmanciest season we’ve ever had of Big Brother.

Major Changes and Shakeups on BB28
Now, let’s talk about some things they’re changing up. Usually, we get photos and bios ahead, but this Broveal was something new. And Julie Chen did say they’re shaking up things. We’ll see the milestone 1,000th episode soon. They’re at 975 episodes going into the season.
And with 90-minute episodes on Wednesdays throughout the season, there is plenty to see in BB28. The debut on Thursday, July 9th is also 90 minutes. Unlocked is back this Friday with Jerry O’Connell as a regular.
The Big Brother Blockbuster is back in play again in BB28. And it looks like the houseguests are already inside and playing the game. So, Thursday’s episode will be pre-taped material since the move-in that already happened.
Unlocked on Friday is supposed to dive into the Survivor Castaway reveals and the Big Brother alum playing the game. And the live feeds are up Friday night right after Unlocked. There are some fan voting features that affect gameplay that CBS is clearly using to drive viewers to this bonus content.
Big Brother 28: HOH and Nominees Already Locked?
They’re also using YouTube more heavily this season with free but limited post-show live feeds access. Just enough to drive people to subscribe to Paramount Plus. As for some early leaked info, take what I’m about to say with a grain of salt.
Supposedly, the first HOH and nominees may already be locked in. Word is that Mallory Aurichio, the sorority party girl/rocket scientist, is the first HOH winner. And the chatter is that she nominated MMA fighter Kamu Kirk and pickle baller Rome Seymour.
The HOH and nominations stuff is somewhat speculative, but hey, I like sharing leaks, so do with that what you will. Don’t miss the BB28 premiere on Thursday! Wouldn’t be summer without Big Brother.
