Zaire Wade Arrested In Amid Domestic Violence Case
Zaire Wade, the eldest child of NBA star Dwyane Wade, was arrested on June 21 in Los Angeles County, according to jail records. Records show the Burbank Police Department took him into custody around 6 a.m. and released him the same day at 11:59 a.m. after he posted a $50,000 bond.
Authorities confirmed that the 24-year-old was “booked for domestic violence, criminal threats and false imprisonment,” with a spokesperson for the Burbank Police Department noting that due to the nature of the case, details remain limited as detectives prepare to present it to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
Details Emerge After Early Morning Police Call
According to reports from NBC4, the arrest stemmed from an incident at a Burbank residence around 5:30 a.m., where a 911 caller allegedly reported hearing a woman screaming. When officers arrived, they reportedly found Zaire with a female who had visible cuts on her face and body. Authorities later issued an emergency protective order and reportedly recovered a handgun from the home during the investigation.
Zaire, who once stood out as a high school basketball star at Sierra Canyon with multiple college offers, ultimately chose to pursue a professional path after graduation. As of now, Dwyane Wade hasn’t publicly addressed the situation involving his son. He and Gabrielle Union recently attended a World Cup match at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
