Butter Yellow, Red, Fringe & More
Ducie Coat, Cos Shirt, Reformation Pants, Chanel Bag, Courreges Pumps, Eterne Socks, LGR Sunglasses, Marissa Klass Necklace
Spring/Summer 2026 brings a shift in handbags, with color and material leading the conversation. After watching butter yellow move through ready-to-wear last year, the shade now shows up in bags — joined by saturated reds, grassy greens, and deep blues, signaling a move toward accessories as the main point of expression. Across the season, a few clear directions stand out.
Color-Forward Handbags: The Best Butter Yellow, Red & Green Bags for Spring 2026
Bright shades emerge as one of the defining handbag stories of Spring/Summer 2026. From butter yellow to saturated reds, blues, and greens, color appears across shoulder bags and clutches in a way that feels widespread rather than isolated. Instead of acting as a finishing touch, these hues lead the design, bringing energy to everyday carries. The volume of bold color across collections points to a broader shift toward expressive accessories, with designers leaning into vibrant palettes that feel fresh, modern, and highly wearable.
The Soft Structure Bag Trend: Spring 2026’s Low-Key It-Bag
This season introduces a new approach to proportion, with bags appearing larger, softer, and designed for daytime wear. Sculptural leather styles sit alongside gathered pouches and relaxed carries, signaling a move toward bags that balance presence with practicality. The result is intentional but unfussy, carried under the arm, sized for real use, and built to move easily through the day.
Fringe Bags & Embellished Carries: Spring 2026’s Statement Trend
Decorative elements step in as a second layer of expression. Fringe adds movement, while embellished finishes introduce shine and texture through beading and surface detail. These styles bring a playful edge, turning everyday bags into standout pieces without sacrificing function.
Taken together, Spring/Summer 2026 points toward handbags defined by color, material, and thoughtful proportion with investment bags that refresh a wardrobe now without feeling tied to a single moment.

Coffee Break: With a Twist Hoops

I love the twist on these mint hoops from Starfish Project.
I think mint can be a great way to bring some color to your face, and is a fun way to complement other spring colors like blues, pinks, and purples.
The hoops are $42 at Nordstrom and at Starfish Project’s website.
(I’m not familiar with the Starfish Project one way or another; it describes its mission as “help[ing] exploited women and girls experience freedom, establish independence and develop careers.” You can see their website here and their profile on Charity Navigator here.)

Lil’ Kim Performs Quiet Storm in a Black Sculptural Look at Cardi B’s Sold-Out Little Miss Drama New York Show
Cardi B surprised fans at her sold-out New York show by bringing out Lil’ Kim for a special performance of “Quiet Storm,” creating a moment that blended nostalgia with high-impact stage style.
Lil’ Kim took the stage in a dramatic metallic ensemble that leaned into futuristic, armor-like design. She wore a sculptural gray coat with exaggerated shoulders and a high, enveloping collar that framed her face, giving the look a commanding presence. The coat’s elongated silhouette and textured finish added dimension, catching the stage lights with every movement.
Underneath, she layered a black bodysuit with sheer paneling that introduced contrast against

The Shopbop Spring Event Sale Is Here: My Picks for 20% Off
The Brands Worth Shopping
LE BOP
Shopbop’s own line has been one of my most-worn brands this year. The quality-to-price ratio is unreal, and at 20% off it’s a no-brainer. The Zadie Polo keeps selling out — grab it while it’s in stock and on sale.
Ulla Johnson
Ulla Johnson makes you feel dressed up without trying too hard. Her spring pieces lean into beautiful prints and relaxed silhouettes — exactly what I want for warm-weather entertaining and weekends.
AGOLDE
The Indra Shorts have been one of my most-clicked Shopbop items this month. AGOLDE denim holds up better than almost anything else I own. If you need denim shorts this spring, this is the moment.

Lagos Paparazzi Flash : Priscilla Ojo and Juma Jux at the ‘Arinzo’ Premiere
Love, fashion, and star power collided at the premiere of The Return of Arinzo as Priscilla Ojo and her husband, Tanzanian music star Juma Jux, made a striking entrance that instantly commanded attention.

Priscilla Ojo—widely known as @its.priscy—is a Nigerian actress, model, and influencer, and the daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo. She has built a strong presence in fashion and entertainment, amassing millions of followers while balancing acting, brand partnerships, and her own fashion ventures . By her side, Juma Jux (born Juma Mussa Mkambala) is an award-winning Tanzanian R&B and Afropop artist known for hits across East Africa and beyond . The couple, who married in 2025, have quickly become one of Africa’s most talked-about cross-cultural power pairs .

For the premiere, Priscilla leaned into sculptural glamour in a white off-the-shoulder gown featuring a corseted bodice, exaggerated hips, and a softly draped neckline. The look was elevated with a dramatic wide-brim hat and a layered pearl choker that framed her face, adding a bridal-inspired finish. She accessorized with a spherical embellished clutch and metallic pointed-toe heels, completing a look rooted in structure and femininity.

Juma Jux complemented her in a neutral-toned ensemble anchored by a long camel overcoat layered over a partially unbuttoned shirt, exposing layered necklaces. His pinstriped trousers and pointed boots added a tailored contrast, while stacked bracelets and tinted sunglasses brought a contemporary edge.

Together, the duo delivered a coordinated aesthetic—her look defined by sculptural precision and softness, his by relaxed tailoring and tonal layering—creating a visual balance that felt intentional and cohesive.

The couple’s appearance at the Arinzo premiere underscores their growing influence not only in music and film circles, but also in fashion, where their coordinated style moments continue to resonate across the continent.

Splurge Monday’s Workwear Report: Detira Grosgrain Waist Detail Midi Dress

Our daily workwear reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.
I’m totally in love with the color of this sheath midi dress from Boss. We’ve professed our love for the light blue suit around here for years, so this is right up my alley. I would pair this with a white blazer for a gorgeous summer-y look, but there is a coordinating jacket if you want to do a column of color.
The dress is $549 at Nordstrom and comes in sizes 0-18. It’s also available in “pumice.”

The Best Spring Trends of 2026
The Best Spring Trends of 2026 – From sporty accents to new shapes in workwear
Today is officially the first day of spring, which means it’s time to start thinking about the best spring trends. Right now, we’re taking inspiration not just from the spring/summer 2026 runways, but also the fashion month that just wrapped. On the streets of Paris last month, show-goers were starting to debut the best of new season, and just about everyone in the fashion industry was running to Chanel to nab pieces of Matthieu Blazy’s first collection (especially the shoes!) Which leaves us with just one question: How can we update our wardrobes to match this energy?
This spring, designers not only introduced new iterations of classics, but gave us new ideas for styling, like the T-shirt sandwiches we saw at Lii and Versace. They introduced new wardrobe builders, such as low-rise skirts at Chanel, and continued to lean into rising trends, like the balloon pants at Altuzarra and Ashlyn. There were also statements made of juxtapositions, whether you lean sporty like Prada or ultra lady-like (but with a sense of ease) like at The Row.
There are so many new ideas for how to get dressed this spring. Below, I outline the key trends to shop now.
Layers! On Layers! On Layers!
When it comes to layering this spring, more is more, and designers are inspiring us to get creative with color-blocking. Jil Sander makes the perfect T-shirt and sells it in a three-pack, which is the ideal starter kit for putting together a heavily layered look. We’re also charmed by the one-stop-shop option, i.e. Lii’s runway version that comes already partially layered—making it effortless to get the look. These funky layers look best for spring with a pair of jeans and ballet flats or trousers and sandals. The key is to balance the classics with flair.

Spring Into Workwear
Clockwise from top left: Boss, Bottega Veneta, Kallmeyer, Chanel
Getting dressed for the office this spring should feel fresh, and an in-between transitional jacket can help you get there. The new blazer shape is cropped with no collar; it will look just as chic commuting to work as it does at the office and out for happy hour after. You could also take a cue from Chanel and zhuzh up a jacket you already own with a pop-of-color flower pin. On the bottom, try a pencil skirt that comes with a belt (just make sure it’s low-rise), or invest in pinstripe pants in a softer trouser shape—they’ll look just as good with a white t-shirt and flats for the weekend.
Scarf Dressing
Silk scarves were once thought of as old-fashioned, but this season, designers made them into a cool-girl hero item. From the perfect going-out scarf top (you could also wear it on vacation!) to scarf-print pants and scarf bags, these key pieces all make a statement. Pair your silk top with a pair of black cigarette pants and pumps for a chic night out. To style your silk pants, mix in a scarf bag for pattern play but add a white t-shirt and sandals for a cool pared-back look.
Sporty With Spice
Clockwise from top left: Prada, Loewe, Prada, Celine, Loewe
Sporty silhouettes and fabrics were given a sophisticated remix on the runways. From elevated parkas in bright colors (great for layering, as seen at Loewe) to bright shorts and funky sneakers, these separates look best when incorporated into your everyday wardrobe. Swap your suede jacket for a technical one in a fun color or add colorful sneakers to your trouser-and-top uniform to add some joy to your office look.

Alsace Rocks Consumer Walk Around Tasting – Chef Lewis Barker
Alsace Rocks Consumer Walk Around Tasting
Fresh from retaining two Michelin stars at Terre at Castlemartyr Resort, Executive Chef Lewis Barker is in Dublin for a one-night-only takeover at Library Street on Monday, 27th April, 2026. Barker is bringing the team from Terre to deliver a specially created four-course menu that introduces his culinary DNA to the city.
Before arriving in Cork in late 2025, he spent a decade in heavyweight kitchens from Europe to Australia and Singapore, becoming the youngest chef in Singapore to win a Michelin star at just 27. Now at Terre, he’s evolving that global experience into something that’s also deeply connected to and reflective of his immediate Cork and wider Irish landscape.
The evening at Library Street offers an intriguing look at what Lewis Barker is creating at Terre, and diners can expect a multi-sensory menu that reflects his technical precision and focus on flavour. It’s also an opportunity to catch a chef of this calibre in a room this relaxed and intimate, doing exactly what he does best.
The four-course menu is €150 per person (+ booking fee), with a wine pairing available for €79. Seats are extremely limited and the evening begins from 6.30pm.
Venue: Library Street Restaurant, 101 Setanta Place D02 W3Y7 Dublin 2
Time: 18:30 – 23:00

Changemakers: Give Us The Night, Protecting Irish Nightlife
Nightlife in Ireland is in decline; there were 500 active nightclubs in the year 2000 and now there are less than 100*. Dancing, music and the arts are integral to Irish culture. Changing licensing laws, Covid, and economic forces have all collided to challenge a once vibrant sector.
Give Us the Night is a volunteer group that has set out to revitalise Irish nightlife. The group campaigns for change through revised licensing laws, later opening hours, and regulation reform. Co-founded by Sunil Sharpe and Ciara Power, the group was created in response to the proposed change in venue closing times in 2004 and continues to make crucial progress for dance spaces and the people that fill them.
Recently, the new Hoxton Hotel on Exchequer Street faced backlash, resulting in two protests, after it sought an injunction against its neighbouring restaurant and late-bar, Yamamori Izakaya. A squeeze on nightlife and cultural spaces has restricted those seeking a place of freedom and connection to a handful of buildings. Following the recent closure of The Complex, now more than ever, there is a need to protect our cultural spaces and nightclubs
Give Us The Night has suggested providing more multi-use spaces that merge art, culture and hospitality, while also facilitating dancing. Adapting already existing organisations could prove to be a vital way of keeping the dance fire burning.
A significant change is needed to maintain a culture that can not only survive but thrive. Give Us The Night is at the forefront of this change.
