Faith Healer at Lyric Theatre Belfast

The team behind Faith Healer are in the building!

One of Brian Friel’s best-known and most enduring plays has begun rehearsals at the Lyric this week. With the supremely talented cast of Conleth Hill, Lisa Dwyer Hogg, and Chris McCurry, under the skilful direction of Emma Jordan, Faith Healer is our much anticipated production coming this October.

The rehearsal room buzzed as our incredible creative team shared their vision for what’s in store for this masterpiece, followed by a read-through of the script by our talented cast. From day one, it’s clear this performance will be electrifying.

This is also a special production, as we are thrilled to showcase Faith Healer as a highlight of our 75th Anniversary programme, celebrating and honouring Brian Friel’s significant contribution to our theatre over the many years.

For over forty years, Brian Friel’s Faith Healer has captivated audiences worldwide. Hailed by The Guardian as one of the greatest plays of the twentieth century, Friel’s masterpiece returns to Belfast this Autumn in a major production on our Main Stage to continue its legacy.

We’re delighted to present Faith Healer as part of the Belfast International Arts Festival along with several other shows on at the Lyric throughout the festival.
