Chef Ahmet Dede, owner of one of Ireland’s Two Star Michelin Restaurants, located in Baltimore in West Cork will be holding a Barolo Wine Dinner, to celebrate one of the world’s greatest wine regions on Wednesday, 25th March 2026.  The consumer dinner is a not to be missed evening, in one of Ireland’s most sought after restaurants.

Specialising in local Irish produce, infused with the flavours of Dede’s Turkish heritage, in recent years Dede at the Custom House has garnered an enormous number of awards, accolades and rave reviews for Dede’s inventive use of flavors and his artistic presentation. Dishes are celebrated for their uniqueness and use of local ingredients.  The restaurant is also known for its impressive wine list, carefully curated and managed by Dede’s French Sommelier Jacques Savary de Beauregard.

The evening will feature a five-course tasting menu, carefully composed to complement a selection of outstanding Barolo wines from a range of leading producers, each offering a unique expression of this remarkable appellation.

The wines will be presented by guest speaker, David Gleave MW, one of Europe’s most highly regarded Italian wine experts and a true specialist about wine from the  Barolo region. A Master of Wine since 1983, David has spent decades immersed in Piedmont, working closely with its finest growers and championing Barolo on the international stage. His unrivalled depth of knowledge, long-standing relationships with producers, and engaging storytelling make him an extraordinary guide to the wines and their origins. Few people can illuminate Barolo, its history, vineyards, and future, with the insight and clarity that David brings.Throughout the dinner, David will sharing rare perspectives about the producers, the terroirs, and why these wines are so compelling at the table.

Cork Whiskey Fest 2026

Cork Whiskey Fest returns to Cork City for its fourth year from 27–29 March 2026. The festival will feature a relocation to Oliver Plunket St for all Masterclasses and expanded Brand Expo & Socials and a packed programme of tastings – including rare whiskeys – and expert-led experiences.

The event will take place in Cork City Hall where the increased capacity will cater for 60 exhibitors highlighting new and rare whiskeys, beers, ciders, gins, rums, vodkas and poitín.

Festival highlights include A Pint & A Drop, delivered by the head brewers from 3 Cork Breweries – Rising Sons Brewery, Blarney Brewing Co, and Original 7 Brewery.

Silent Irish Distilleries, where Industry legend Ger Garland samples liquids from Ireland’s lost whiskey distilleries; and The Renegades – Scotch/ Irish Blends, with Mark Lonergan tasting those blends that shouldn’t really have been allowed, but got released. Other standout sessions delve into Vintage Whiskey Crocks, Peated Pot Still Irish Whiskeys from Killowen Distillery, and a rare Midleton warehouse tasting hosted at the Imperial Hotel Ballroom. One of the most sought-after tickets of the weekend is Distillery Day at Midleton Distillery on Saturday 28th March, offering unparalleled access to the distillery, warehouses, and master craftspeople alongside exceptional tastings.

I know this is a day late for St. Patrick’s Day, but the color of this midi dress from Ann Taylor is just too gorgeous to miss. Cap sleeves fall into the “love ’em or hate ’em” category, so this may not be for everyone, but I think this would be a great spring office look.

I would add a white blazer and a brown belt to make it a bit more formal, but it would also be beautiful on its own.

I love this minimal ballet flat from Reiss. While not quite in toe cleavage territory, the vamp is very low, which really works here I think.

The shoes come in tan and black at Nordstrom, and Reiss.com has them in tan and a brown suede (also lovely).

Where we used to do nude flats, I tend to think this medium tan brown is the more modern iteration, whatever your skin tone is. Lovely.
