Hannes Reinisch Tasting at Terroirs Donnybrook

Terroirs in Donnybrook are delighted to announce the visit of Hannes Reinisch for an in-store tasting in Terroirs on Morehampton Road, in Donnybrook on Saturday 25th April, 2026 from 1.00 to 7.00 pm. (entry is free of charge).

Weingut Familie Reinisch in Austria’s Thermenregion is located about 30 km south of Vienna near Tattendorf where the family farm 40 hectares of vines. With nearly 2,000 hours of sun per year, Thermenregion is one of Austria’s sunniest and driest regions. The terroirs of Tattendorf and Gumpoldskirchen make the Reinisch family’s vineyards particularly well-suited for cultivating Pinot Noir and  St. Laurent, as well as white varieties such as Chardonnay and the indigenous grapes Rotgipfler and Zierffandler, which the Reinisch family are particularly famous for. Reflecting the local microclimate, approximately 60% of their wines are red, and 40 % are white and sweet wines.

Hannes and his two brothers, Christian and Michael are the fourth generation of their family to run the estate. From the very beginning, they embraced organic farming utilising insects and diverse cover crops to develop the biodiversity of their vineyards.

Today, the Reinisch family are known as one of the leading producers in Thermenregion where the brothers work with the fifth generation, Thomas and Sebastian.

The wines of Familie Reinisch  are impressively complex and elegant, so Sean & Francois Gilley of Terroir are delighted to be able to  invite their customers to taste the range in store in order to learn more about them from the man who produces them Hannes Reinisch.
