September at the National Gallery of Ireland brings a varied programme of exhibitions, talks, screenings, performances and creative events. The highlight is Hilma af Klint: Artist and Visionary, the first major exhibition dedicated to the Swedish artist’s work in Ireland, featuring paintings, drawings and water colours. Alongside the exhibition, visitors can explore Art, Migration and the Politics of Belonging, a week-long programme running from 14 – 20 September. With events focused on art, identity, migration, citizenship and representation, there is plenty to explore at the Gallery this September.

Hilma af Klint: Artist and Visionary – Tickets on sale nowHilma af Klint is recognised as one of Europe’s foremost abstract painters and is one of Sweden’s most celebrated modern artists. Hilma af Klint: Artist and Visionary, developed in partnership with the Hilma af Klint Foundation, features paintings, drawings and watercolours, marking the first major exhibition dedicated to the artist’s work in Ireland.
