National Highways has confirmed that roadworks will be carried out on the A66 between Hulands Quarry and Cross Lanes, affecting traffic in both directions.

The scheme forms part of gap safety improvement works along this stretch of the route.

During the works, motorists will encounter a contraflow system controlled by temporary traffic lights, with lane closures in place for extended periods.
