- Donald Trump’s health concerns have resurfaced after the White House was forced to deny rumours the 79-year-old president was rushed to hospital.
- The official ‘Rapid Response 47’ X account issued fierce denials following social media speculation that Trump was taken to Walter Reed Medical Centre in Washington DC. One tweet read: “Deranged liberals cook up insane conspiracy theories when @POTUS goes 12 hours without speaking to press.”
- This latest health scare adds to a growing list of concerns about the US president’s wellbeing. Photographs have shown mysterious bruising on his hands, which he appeared to try concealing with makeup, and the White House revealed he was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency.
- Recent images also show Trump with swollen ankles, suggesting possible fluid retention. White House physician Sean Barbabella explained a dark red patch on Trump’s neck was from “a very common cream” for preventative skin treatment.
- Rumours of a stroke have been fuelled by apparent facial drooping at a 9/11 memorial event. Trump has also been slurring his words and struggling to complete sentences in recent speeches, including stumbling over words about transgender issues.
- Cognitive concerns have mounted after bizarre incidents, including asking Japan’s Prime Minister “Why didn’t you tell me about Pearl Harbor?” when questioned about Iran strikes. Trump has also been caught falling asleep in meetings and admitted choosing military operation names after waking up from naps.
