Amanda Holden shared the emotional moment she was asked to be a godmother to her friend’s baby River Lily on social media on Wednesday.
The TV and radio personality, 55, described the ‘magical’ evening where she had friends over to watch the solar eclipse in the garden of her Surrey home.
The mother-of-two said she will ‘never forget’ the moment as she posted clips and photos from the special occasion.
River Lily was wearing a pink ‘will you be my godmother?’ baby grow, while Amanda was sporting a matching ‘The Godmother’ baseball cap.
Amanda shared snaps of the group of her family and friends gathered together to catch the eclipse with their glasses.
Sharing her thoughts on the day, Amanda wrote: ‘Well… if ever there was a day when the stars quite literally aligned.

Amanda had had been spending the summer in Corfu with her family and friends. Earlier this week she looked incredible as she showed off her age-defying physique in a white and blue floral bikini.

Amanda showed off her toned figure in a £240 two-piece from Melissa Odabash as she took a boat trip, wearing large black sunglasses and a straw hat.

Back in July, Amanda playfully warned her followers that she is set to begin posting her ‘annual onslaught’ of swimwear snaps.
The TV personality said she was spending some quiet downtime with her family in Corfu before her friends fly out to join them to start the party.
Amanda posed up a storm in a red and white bikini during the first part of the trip which she styled with a straw beach hat and aviator shades.
The photos were taken on a boat while out at sea, with Amanda posing on the edge looking out on the water and at the wheel of the vessel.
Also included in the post was a clip of Amanda jumping off the boat into the crystal clear water below.
