Armagh crash LIVE updates as six people taken to hospital after serious collision

The ambulance service has said that six people have been taken to hospital following the collision this morning.

A NIAS spokesperson said: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 08:57 on Wednesday, 2nd September, following reports of an RTC in the Newtownhamilton Road area, Armagh.

“NIAS tasked 5 Emergency Ambulances, 2 HART Teams, an Emergency Planning Officer, an Ambulance Doctor and the Charity Air Ambulance with nHEMS on board, to the incident.

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was brought to Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast by Ambulance. 1 patient was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital by Air Ambulance. 4 patients were brought to Craigavon Area Hospital by Ambulance.”
